White Hawk FC Shot Down

Morley Town produced a breathtaking display to defeat White Hawk FC at the White Stadium tonight, the win moved Morley up to fifth and above their vanquished opponents.

Christopher Love scored his third goal in three games since joining Town after only two minutes, Love sidefooting home from Robredo's cross. Love though was stretchered off 7 minutes later but his injury is not thought to be serious and he should be fit for Fridays match against Los Samgeles Kings.

White Hawk had a glorious chance to equalise but Dharmsingh shot striaght at Zubeldia, White Hawk did equalise on 26 minutes through Adan Donahue. Donahue picked upon Nageswar's pass to rifle a shot in the back of the net from distance.

A lightening counter attack from Town led to their second goal, Val Sheridan's long ball was picked up by his defensive partner Keiron Sedgemore who finished like a seasoned striker. Two minutes later and Morley added a third, Love's replacement ArnĂ£utu collected a pass from Farrell and unleashed a piledriver from long range which flew past the despairing dive of Dankoi.

The second half was an incredibly tight affair with Morley looking to nullify the threat from White Hawk. Surprisingly White Hawk looked devoid of ideas and provided little threat to the resolute Town defence.

Morley will be hoping they can extend their recent run of form against Los Samgeles Kings at Scatcherd Park on Friday evening.
