AC Milan got off to the best possible start to the new season with a 2-0 win at the san siro on friday against a resolute Tranmere Rovers side.
After just 8 minutes new signing Humphrey Beihn playing his first game for the club had the chance to make himself hero with fans, he stepped up and lashed the ball over the bar.
The Milan fans only had to wait till 15 mins for their team to breakdown the opposition and Ricardo Kaka finished a superb reverse pass from Sean Derry to open the scoring.
On 19 mins Milan defender Paddy McCarthy was strechered off with suspected calf strain which is expected to keep him out another couple of weeks at least.
A tedious Second half was lit up by New man Humphrey Beign on 79mins who atoned the penalty miss with a 35 yard rocket which went in off the underside of the bar and gave Tranmere Rover keeper no chance of stopping it the fans started to chant his name as the referee Wanda Rinn brought the game to a finish and manager MarkieRich was clearly pleased with win as he beamed a big smile walking off down the tunnel.
Milan have a tough away game tuesday at marsielle and cathallio11 who MarkieRich has the upmost respect for and hopes the game will serve up a classic like previous matches between the two sides.

Marseille Defence Dominate Greatness!
It was quite a mixed day for Marseille on Friday, but it must have been 5 times as worse for manager Darren Calvert.
Jonathan Boulding was booked after only 2 minutes which meants he had to be very cautious fo the rest of the game as for Arnaldo Sifredi for F.C. Greatness who was also booked.
It was the 13th minute when Marseille really cranked up the pressure when Cal Beardsley made a storming run up the field and Sid Peyton's through found him expertly and it was vollyed first touch into the bottom left corner.
Petter Lundin was booked soon after that when Greatness fans thought it was a clear red card. The game was quite dull with an expert performance from the Marseille defence and Gyllenhielm got booked after an elbox out of frustration.
The second-half was quite dirty especially when in the 60th minute Sid Peyton came off with an ankle sprain which will put him out for a fort-night at least. Shuttlewood got a pointless booking for dissent at the 80 minute mark. Martinus Benfari was sent-off in the 90th minute when his 2 footed challenge was around 2 seconds late and he will be suspended for F.C. Greatness's next game.
Cathal spoke to us after the match:
"I am very happy with the club's performance today, especially from the defence who were are main part of the team. I am very dissapointed with Peyton's injury which will definitely affect our team badly!"

Stamping our authority on Division 2
Charlottenburg FC arrived in Division 2 and immediately stamped their authority with a fine opening 3-0 win over AJ Rothian.
"I'm absolutely delighted by our performace" said Potsdamerplatz.
"We were mediocre last season but I'm very confident we will be challenging for promotion all season, although I will not make the mistake of underestimating my opponents" continued the coach.
We now travel to Real Madrid, who will prove to be formidable opposition. A win here would be very impressive.

Mafia Silence Goals Aloud
The Mafia came face to face with resurgent Goals Alound yesterday, who are under reasonably new management in Ocs18.
The first half started poorly, with both teams getting back into the groove after a long break. Constantino de Melo was booked for Goals Aloud on the 14 minute mark, but that's about all that happened for the first forty five minutes.
Jimmy gave his team an inspirational team talk, telling them to play more attacking football and go for some goals. After just one chance in the first half, that was exactly what was needed.
The team certainly listened as they attacked down the flanks. It only took 3 minutes of the second half before a Ralf Kron floating cross was put in the back of the net midfielder Oscar Cervantes. That was his 6th goal in just 9 games for the club.
Mahmoud Sherko, the Egyptian striker, was one of Jimmy's first signings when he took over the reins at the Mexican Mafia (then FC Joga Bonito). Four games last season saw Sherko take a while to settle, and he went through a bit of a goal drought. Tonight saw his first goal, in his fifth match.
Then, Oscar Cervantes had to be carried off the pitch in the last minute, after he was slightly injured. Henk van Huijksloot got his first 10 seconds of play.
_____________________________
"I'm very happy. Not only 3 points, but a clean sheet. I'm happy for Mahmoud too, I hope he has got off the mark now... and hopefully it will trigger a flood of goals." : said Jimmy in a post match interview.
"Hopefully we can maintain this form throughout the season, as we are looking to get promoted... if not too win the division."
"I am also pleased that my manager skill went up, lets hope that continues too."

This is Anfield, so what?
Three Lions got off to a flying start with a 2-0 win in their match away to Liverpool. The game was dominated by the visitors in terms of possession and chances as Liverpool only got one of their three chances on target. A well-placed shot from Luís Carlos Almeida, better known as Nani, in the 33rd minute almost yielded a goal but Bruce Grobbelaar managed a fine parry. Robin van Izu also came close in the 54th minute with a bullet freekick which Grobbelaar just managed to push over the bar, but only because it was shot straight at him.
However, Grobbelaar could do nothing in the 79th minute after he misjudged the flight of Nani's powerful cross from the right, and could only watch as Cesc Izukas found the back of an empty net with a toe-poke from a spectacular bicycle kick. Liverpool immediately got on the counterattack and a fine team move resulted in a powerful long range shot from Dirk Kuyt which forced a fine save from Izu Casillas. Liverpool kept hopes of grabbing a late equaliser but captain Izuael Clichy ended the home side's hopes as, running down the left flank from all the way back in defence, he produced a stunning shot from the halfway line which curled and twisted and looped into the far corner of the goal, leaving Grobbelaar absolutely shell shocked as he watched the shot from the edge of his area.
"It's always nice to score your first goal for the club," said Clichy, grinning after the final whistle. "They say I am a great player and the manager has even picked me to be captain for the club but I don't feel as if I have really deserved it. It's nice to contribute to the club with a few goals and assists here and there, even if I'm not involved in the winning goal."
"I believe we are on our way to the title this season," said goalkeeper Izu Casillas. "We've been in excellent form in pre-season. The defence are keeping nice and tight and when someone gets through, I can deal with him. I will be surprised not to win the Golden Gloves this season."

Omer End Record
St Omer claimed the two season unbeaten record of champions Totaalvoetbal with a highly impressive 2-0 victory at MVB Arena. Totaal wasted a few chances before Sebastiano Sablone stunned the home crowd by putting the visitors ahead with their first attempt. An injury to Alexij Ogliarki caused further pain after the interval and with Dante de Matteo making it 2-0 the champions were firmly on the rack. Franco Zoppetti was also taken off with a serious looking injury but Totaalvoetbal never seriously looked like capitalising and they got the defence of their crown off in the worst possible way. Robin Meeblind indicated that it might be a ‘tough season’ ahead as they lack strength in depth and ‘don’t have much money’. The win will come as a massive boost for ConyTottee who had said that he is ‘rebuilding the squad’ and thought they might get ‘stuffed every week.’ On this showing there is plenty of hope for Omer fans.
Champions of Season One, Marseille showed that they might be ready to challenge again with a 1-0 win at newly promoted F.C. Greatness. Marseille put in a textbook away performance to limit their hosts to just one chance while they countered superbly. The goal came after 13 minutes when the excellent Sid Peyton found Cal Beardsley for the latter to finish well. The performance was dampened for Cathal as Peyton then went off with a bad injury that will force him out for a fortnight at least. Home woes were compounded when Martinus Benfair was sent-off and they will have to improve if they are to make an impact in the top division. Darren Calvert was in furious mood, claiming his new signing Baronchelli was ‘crap’ while bemoaning the fact he will ‘have to play him in the next game’ because of the sending-off. Cathal had a feeling of déjà vu as his ‘team have won 1-0 away from home in the first game of all the three seasons.’ The question for Marseille fans being, will it end like Season One or Two?
Yorkshires Amateurs and AFC Stanley clashed in one of the more eye-catching opening round fixtures at The Thorp Arches. It was to be a tight affair with one goal settling it. New big money signing Amadeo Caviedes instantly made himself a hero with Amateurs fans by unleashing a stunning long range shot which beat Hessbo in the away goal. Stanley fought hard and had a lot of the ball but could not create enough chances with their possession to force a way back into the game although they did strike a post late on. Both managers were seemingly in agreement that there wasn’t much in the match afterwards. Dan was quick to point out he thought Stanley had ‘every chance of challenging for honours’ while suggesting they should have earned a ‘share of the spoils.’ Markham spoke of how his players ‘can be proud of themselves’ and thought they ‘deserved the draw.’
Last season’s nearly men, Hun Haters, flew out of the blocks in disposing of Santos FC 3-0 at Scotlands Shame. Finlay MacCleir was back on the scoreboard, netting 14 goals in his HH career so far. His opening goal came after only three minutes and when he added a second with a neat finish just past the half-hour you sensed the game was already over. These fears were confirmed with a third before half-time, Craig Elliston unleashing a beautiful long range effort to leave Santos feeling more Barnsley than Brazilian in their RM Invitational debut. To be fair to the newcomers they did have chances but will need to be more ruthless at the top table. Celticchris had already stated he would continue to ‘build for the future’ during the season but given their proximity to the top in the previous two seasons a title challenge is most definitely on the cards.
ThunderCats F.C were also back on the winning trail with a determined 2-1 triumph at Reggae Reggae Sauce. The visitors were always on top in the game and made their mark early with a goal from prolific midfielder Nelson Queimado. Despite always keeping a firm grip on the game it took until the 65th minute for ThunderCats to double their advantage, a free-kick from Leonardo Borja proving far too good for Reggae-Sauce in goal. The home side kept plugging away throughout and got some reward for their work when Walter Axford headed in during injury-time to give them hope for brighter times in the weeks to come. ThunderCats will have one thing in their sights for Season Three and that’s the RM Invitational title after coming so close last season.
Two renamed sides met at San Siro as AC Milan beat Tranmere Rovers 2-0. The game started off at a ridiculous pace with Gavin Hawthorn suffering a bad injury for the visitors while Humphrey Biehn missed a penalty for the hosts. Milan took the lead not long after the penalty miss with Ricardo Kaka heading in a fine Sean Derry cross. Paddy McCarthy suffered an injury for the home side as the action continued. Milan always remained the dominant force and it was somewhat surprising they would only add one more goal through Biehn. MarkieRich was happy with the ‘nice’ start to the season and even more pleased with his ‘new signing’ who ‘bagged a goal.’ Tranmere Rovers will be looking to improve on this showing after never really getting into gear at the start of the new season.

United Stroll to Win
Division Two Champions Manchester United began the new season well with a 4-1 win at also promoted Kirkbride Strollers. The game started off in a positive manner for the hosts as they controlled much of the first-half and took the lead through a lovely Fraser Symington free-kick. There was no indication of what was to come after the break as Kirkbride comfortably held out until the whistle. Manchester United were a new side after the restart, however, and tore into their fading hosts. Once Owen Hargreaves had levelled matters after 64 minutes there was only one side in it. They won the game in a five-minute blast as time was ebbing away. Darren Fletcher caught the defence flat-footed to put them 2-1 ahead. Darren Gibson then added a third with a cool finish before Hargreaves sealed the win with a header. The managers will be in very different moods as they begin their life as Division One coaches.
The Vikings also adapted swiftly to life a level higher with a good win over Juventus. Aris Almanidis gave the hosts an early lead with the defender going on to have an excellent evening. Tasos Toursounidis made it 2-0 after 26 minutes as he quickly got off the mark looking to better last season’s tally of 13 league goals. The Vikings weren’t having it all their own way, though, and Juventus got a deserved goal before the interval when Mairthin Foley delivered a well executed free-kick. The second-half was a cagier affair with fewer chances as a result. The Vikings were to seal the victory late on when Toursounidis netted again, this time from distance, to make it 3-1. Eaglesrjh announced himself ‘happy to get the season off to a winning start’ but added a note of caution, saying that they were ‘just looking to cement our place in this division.’
Mexican Mafia put in a solid display to ease past Goals Aloud 2-0. Jimmy declared that he was looking for promotion this season and will have been satisfied by his team’s opening day display. The first-half was reminiscent of some of the pre-season matches that have just taken place as both sides struggled for fluency. The Mafia got the boost they needed at the start of the second-half, though, as Oscar Cervantes headed in. The goal seemed to stir the home faithful and they inspired their team to a strong defence of their lead. The score was given a more comfortable look when Mahmoud Sherko headed in a corner on 90 minutes. Goals Aloud will hope to hit the winning trail soon so they seek to avoid the trials and tribulations of last season while Jimmy was happy with the win and also that his ‘manager skill’ was on the increase.
Three Lions FC were also winners on the day as they put in a professional display in a 2-0 win at Liverpool. Boosted by an unexpected promotion the ground was buzzing before kick-off as Liverpool sought to start on a high. Two serious looking injuries were to mar the game as Ricardo Izalho and Martin Skrtel each face a spell on the sidelines. The game itself saw Three Lions edge it in both possession and chance stats. The goals arrived late in the game as Cesc Izukas shot home well in the penalty area before the exceptional Izuael Clichy clinched the win with a long range effort on 90 minutes. Three Lions will be looking to make more progress this season despite Izuka’s claims they will be happy to ‘avoid relegation and get a good CR.’ Buttons, meanwhile, will quickly look to get his Liverpool side up to speed and when that happens they should do well in the division.
West Brom Strollers and Pahang United met in a high quality encounter at The Hawthorns with the home side just coming out on top. Pahang made the better start with a long range shot from Henning Gassner giving them the lead. Enjoying a lot of possession, West Brom gradually forced their way back into the encounter and got a vital goal on the stroke of half-time. Bobby Taylor found some space in the area to finish a corner by Tony Brown. The game continued apace after the resumption with both sides struggling for supremacy. The winning goal was to arrive in the final ten minutes and was to come from the spot, Bryan Robson producing a captain’s finish to give his side the three points. West Brom survived the late sending-off of Lawrie Cunningham but the win didn’t entirely satisfy Dinkydave who said ‘a win, not completely convincing but a win nevertheless.’
Newry City and Tropical Thunder kicked off their seasons with a 1-1 draw at Showgrounds. Newry largely had the better of things but paid for not being able to finish their chances. They did take the lead when a free-kick was smashed into the net by Veevo Ulpre and continued to dictate play during the first 45 minutes. The second-half saw a more even contest as the words of Joejnr had a clear impact on his players. Thunder were to strike with time running out as Lauro Poggi scored from distance to catch the otherwise outstanding Dominic Wellens off-guard in the home goal. A draw will be seen as a good result for Thunder after their tough season last time out while Newry will be looking to improve upon their sixth place finish.

Inter March Past Saints
Internazionale produced a scintillating performance in despatching Southampton 4-1 to kick-off Division Two in fine fashion. Creating a host of chances you sensed it was only a matter of how many would they would win by as they defeated a disorganised Southampton easily. Dennis Abrey was to fire in the first from distance before Darren Houghton put the final touch on a clever free-kick to give them a two-goal advantage at the break. The second-half was to be slightly more even but Internazionale always looked the likelier to add to their lead. They duly did this through Henrik Larsson as the promising youngster scored the first of, what is hoped to be, many goals in his career. Southampton briefly rallied when Benos Hardinho displayed his eye for goal with a neat finish but the visitors would have the final say. Stephen Lorimer headed in from a corner to put the exclamation mark on a complete opening day performance.
In another brilliant performance Charlottenburg FC were 3-0 victors over AJ Rovers. The victory added weight behind coach Potsdamerplatz’s belief that his team will be ‘strong all season.’ They were given an early boost by Stan Collymore who hit the goal trail once more after scoring nine last season. David Beckham then headed in on the stroke of half-time as Charlottenburg made the most of their two chances in the first 45. It was an even half all told and AJ might even have felt somewhat aggrieved to be going in behind let alone two goals adrift. The second 45 minutes was a different story, though, as a confident home side dominated. They duly added a third through Teddy Sheringham and the points were safe. Rothion admitted that he needed to make ‘lots of improvement’ if they are to push for ‘Division One’ football next season.
White Hawk FC continued from where they left off last season with a 3-0 win over Carthage FC. Always having a territorial advantage in the first-half White Hawk wore down the visitors so they could take advantage of a tired outfit in the second. So it proved as Adan Donahue hit home after 53 minutes as the chances began to arrive for the hosts. Cianan Cathan opened his account for the club after 80 minutes before the reliable Clyde Nageswar got his season up and running with an effort in injury-time. Last season’s Division Three champions will have been delighted with their start as they look to make it back-to-back promotions while Carthage will quickly seek to improve following their surprise inclusion in Division Two for this campaign.
Another team who benefited from the league revamp were Morley Town F.C. who will also ply their trade a division higher this term. They were to get a wake-up call as to how tough they can expect to find life as an experienced Real Madrid FC side saw them off 2-0. Madrid took a stranglehold on proceedings after a storming opening twenty minutes. Kevin Gabriele put the hosts in a strong position by finishing off a corner delivered by the impressive Varoujan Haigazian. Haigazian then set up Kapo Kachadorian for the second some ten minutes later. With a two-goal lead Madrid allowed Morley to be more competitive in the second period but they couldn’t find a way back in as the home side took the spoils. Neither manager was available for comment as they looked to prepare their sides for the season ahead.
Perhaps the game of the day came at the Staples Center as Los Samgeles Kings edged a five-goal thriller with Belly Tubbies. With expensive new ‘keeper Sahlberg debuting hopes were high among the travelling support that they could get off to a good start. These hopes took an early dent as Dustin Brown gave his own welcome to the new cat by beating him following a swift counter. Tubbies responded well with a breakaway of their own, finished off by Jules Vallade as the game set off at quite a pace. Los Samgeles proceeded to get on top of their visitors and their pressure told at the start of the second 45. Derek Armstrong was the home hero as a header and a long range shot gave them a two-goal advantage which would ultimately prove decisive. Mark Lysenko did pull one back for BT but they couldn’t draw level. The win gives Stripy8 a boost following his appointment last season left him with ‘a lot of work to do’ because of previous bad management.
Two sides who occupied relegation spots in this division last season met as they both secured a reprieve following the readjustments. The news hadn’t pleased Bossebong who feared that being in the division again might ‘damage the team for years to come.’ Hopes were higher in Kensington whose new signings hoped to provide a ‘grand future’ for the club. The game itself was a ding-dong affair as the sides traded goals in each half. Cameron Nowell had put KBC ahead early on only for a penalty to be despatched by Toini Vasama ruined the good work before the half ended. Kroklund seized on their opportunity by going ahead early in the second-half through Aatu Vuokki but Kensington wouldn’t lay down either and earned just reward with a Niles Worthington equaliser with seconds remaining. The draw will surely be seen as a point gained for both sides as they look to fare much better at the second time of asking.
Wonderful Wandsworth Whack Four
Wandsworth were the most impressive winners as a host of new teams got under way in Division Three of the RM Invitational . Hosting Chelsea, Wandsworth were at it right from the start as they put the visitors under intense pressure. A goal after only a minute from Freddy Kennedy gave them the perfect platform from which to build and the performance was to get better and better. An injury to Sebastiano Munoz didn’t help the Chelsea cause and when Rick Tuttle added a second from distance before half-time the writing was on the wall for the visitors. While they did manage a couple of attempts in the second-half in what was a slight attacking improvement on the first it was the hosts who always held superiority. A Rowley Forrester free-kick made it three before Tuttle added his second of the game and his team’s fourth to complete the rout. Jamma had warned before the season that they would be the ‘lowest scoring team this season’ while he builds his youths and his prophecy could well become reality. LotharIstvan will undoubtedly be delighted with his teams start and will hope to continue their form when they host Alsancak next.
Alsancak themselves warmed up nicely for that clash with a hard-fought victory over The Champs. Despite conceding the majority of chances Alsancak would score the all important goal after 36 minutes when Samuel del Valle struck inside the area. The defeat appeared harsh on The Champs who competed hard and, but for a cutting edge, could have scored on a number of occasions. Wienersnitzel was happy with the victory and emphasised that it was important his side was starting to ‘gel together’ to attain their target of a ‘mid-table position’ at the end of the season. The Champs remain one of the stronger sides in the division and if they can turn their chances into goals then they will surely cause a lot of damage in the coming season.
LewisHopes’ much billed return to the league opened up in disappointing fashion as wortley afc proved too strong in a 4-1 victory. Benefitting from more experience in the league wortley always looked the more assured side. Michael Keeler had scored early for the home side but Portsmouth did manage to hit back as midfielder Bob Black headed in. From this moment onwards it was to be all wortley as Michael Keeler scored his second before half-time and then completed a superb hat-trick with a stunning strike from distance. Jake Shiver rounded off the win late on with a clinical header to leave home fans dreaming of a successful season after last term’s struggles. Lewis has more long-term ambitions and his hope is to be up with the likes of ‘Marseille and Totaalvoetbal within the next five seasons.’
Josef’s London Gunners took to life in the RM Invitational like a duck to water with a handsome 3-1 victory over These Charming Men. In truth the game was more even than the score reflected but the hosts' more accomplished finishing won the day. TCM took the lead on 20 minutes when Lientur Rial fired in from a corner although the lead wasn’t to last long. Paolo Kask restored parity for the hosts with a neat finish as the sides went in locked at the break. The Gunners came out much tighter after the interval and were to give up no further chances while taking the two they created themselves. Isak Bergendorff headed in to give them their first lead of the game before Kask headed in his second to give the hosts a 3-1 win which will have surely pleased Josef.
The other winners in the division on opening day were Pretty in pink after they overcame The Posh 1-0 in a war of attrition. In a game where both sides created a chance each it was Allan Bound who would be the hero by finishing his in fine fashion for the visitors. The defeat will have been hard to take for The Posh as they have put together one of the strongest sides in the division and will hope they win a far greater percentage of matches this time around. Pretty in pink will be pleased with the start but will be aware of a need to maintain their focus to remain successful.
Northwich Victoria manager MadMagpie was awarded manager of the round for his efforts and so will have been left a little disappointed by a 2-2 draw away at Glory Hornets. The first-half was a tight affair and ended up all-square following a couple of early goals. Tom-Stian Anthonsen headed in after a minute for the visitors but Eustace North finished off a classic breakaway goal to ensure parity for the hosts. Eliott Malloy was to complete the turnaround with another breakaway just before the hour but this only served to inspire the visitors. Creating six chances in a one-sided half Victoria left it late to seal a point as Albert Hildre headed in four minutes into stoppages. It was nothing less than they deserved but with a point each both sides will look to build on this in the coming weeks.

The Vikings 3 - 1 Juventus
Viking Land News
Vikings start new season with a win.
The Vikings got the season off to the best possible start with a convincing home win against Juventus. The manager has already warned the fans to hope for nothing more than mid table after being promoted last season but hopes will be raised of doing better than this if this level of performance continues.
The Vikings followers did not have to wait long for theiteams first goal of the new season. A freekick was given on the edge of the area and Almandis stepped up and with confidence delightfully lifted the ball up and over the wall and curling into the back of the net. The perfect start for the Vikings. This good feeling faded slightly when the first injury of the season happened after only 7 minutes, Liordis limping off to be replaced by Veziridis. The defensive reorganisation had not quite settled when Blanquet found space in the box for Juves' first effort but thankfully Vincent Lees was able to tap the ball over the bar. The next effort came for the Vikings but Toursoundis goal bound header on 24 was saved by the keeper. It soon became clear that this had just been a range finder as just 2 minutes later Toursoundis powered in a header after substitute Veziridis had floated in a lovely ball. Almandis then thought he had scored another on 27 as the Vikings took control but his wonderful freekick smacked the post with the keeper well beaten. Juve then got a freekick of their own on 35 but Foley hit his effort to close to Lees in the Viking goal. Foley got a second attempt just 2 minutes later and this time the freekick evaded Lees and Juventus were back in the game. 2-1 at half time with the Vikings having slightly more possession and chances.
The Vikings came out for the second half looking to kill off the game, new signing Crouch put a delicate chip just over the bar on 50. Juve seemed to be only troubling from set plays and another freekick on 67 had to be watched carefully by Lees. The Vikings wrapped up the points on 81 when Toursoundis hammered a long range shot into the roof of the net after being played into position by Almandis. This was enough for the Vikings who then sat back and gave away no more feekicks and Juve had never looked like creating from open play. 3-1 the gme finished with a comfotable enough win and a happy manager.
"We played well, I'm happy to get the season off to a winning start but know it will be tough this year after promotion and we are still realistically just looking to cement our place in this division, this is our main aim and if we happen to be in a better position nearer the end of the season then who knows what can happen! Avoiding the relegation battle is our primary concern though." said a delighted Eaglesrjh

Worst Start
AJ Rovers opening their Division 2 match with a lost to Charlottenburg FC at The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Arena. The 3-0 lost indicates that there are lots of improvement should be made by the management if they want to see the team qualify for the Division 1 next season.
Charlottenburg FC opened the account in 19th minutes breakaway by Stan Collymore. AJ Rovers managed to equalize through long shot from Sonny Vickerman but was ruled out because of offside. and David Beckham stretched the lead in dying minutes to make it 2-0 at the end of first half.
Nothing else happened in the second half except Teddy Sheringham managed to get his 1st goal of the season to help Charlottenburg FC humiliated AJ Rovers with 3 goals without a reply.

Amateurs snatch opening day win
The Yorkshire Amateurs continued where they had left off in pre season with a hard fought 1-0 victory over AFC Stanley earlier today. A stunning goal on the stroke of half time from new striker Amadeo Caviedes ensured the Amateurs opened up the new season with a win.
Having won all four of their pre season games the Amateurs were in confident mood ahead of the season opener. Manager Danlufc13 was wary of the threat that the newly promoted AFC Stanley would pose and they put in an excellent performance which in fairness should have probably seen them take a share of the spoils.
Caviedes repaid a large chunk of his transfer fee with a stunning goal after good work from midfield maestro Murray Davis and his strike was enough to settle the game.
Danlufc13 told the waiting press, “I’m delighted to secure an opening day win against a side I think have every chance of challenging for honours. We also hope that with a bit of good fortune we can be in the shake up come the end of the season”.

Unbeaten Run Ends
Champions Totaalvoetbal had a wake-up call as the new season finally arrived.
Goals from Sebastiano Sablone and Dante de Matteo for St Omer were enough to fire them to a 2-0 victory.
Totaal spent the evening misfiring in front of goal and an injury to Alexeij Ogliarki completed their misery.
With the trophy being paraded in front of a packed crowd at the MVB Arena there was a sense of anticipation as the sides emerged.
Buoyed on, the home side pressed from the start with Johan Juffing forcing Stanley Stones into a fine save.
Making his debut in midfield was Edwin Hayter and he also forced Stones into action; a long range volley comfortably held by the 'keeper.
St Omer were happy to sit in and wait for their opportunity. When it arrived they took it with both hands as Carlton Bruce found Sebastiano Sablone in space to produce a fantastic lob which embarrassed young 'keeper Ard Leemans.
Totaalvoetbal tried to hit back straight away but Hayter's header was to be denied by the crossbar as the youngster continued his busy debut.
St Omer came out a much more confident side after the break, boosted, no doubt, by their goal advantage. Cesar Monparlet having a header saved by Leemans as the early stages were spent inside the Totaal half.
An injury to Ogliarki didn't help matters for the disorganised hosts as the out-of-form Oriol came on to replace him.
Looking somewhat out-of-form himself was Shivan Preetnav and he wasted a headed opportunity as he struggled to keep up with the pace of the game.
Dante de Matteo was keen to show him how to do it, though, and in the process put St Omer 2-0 ahead. Edgar Passinha delivering a pacy corner which de Matteo met well and sent the away fans delirious.
Preetnav had a chance to redeem himself and put the champions back into it but the super Stones saved again to maintain the visitor's advantage.
Franco Zoppetti and Monparlet were the next to suffer injuries as the visitors whole-hearted approach brought a couple of set-backs to go with the positive performance.
A free-kick gave Omer the chance to stretch the lead but Leemans got the better of Edgar Passinha.
As it turned out it wasn't to matter as they held out for a comfortable and well-deserved 2-0 victory.
"It's a disappointing start." conceded Meeblind.
"But sometimes you just have to credit the opposition and say they out-performed us.
"So in that spirit, well done to CT and St Omer.
"This will be a tough season for our boys, we are a bit short defensively and don't have much money but we'll look to improve quickly."

Patrik Press - Interview 2
Wienersnitzel from Alsancak FC
Welcome Wienersnitzel, and welcome to RM Invitational!
Q: First of all, let me ask you what your very first reflection was, gazing upon your squad for the first time. Anguish or hope?
A: To be honest it was somewhere inbetween anguish and hope but at the same time I quite enjoy a bit of a challenge.
Q: You´ve been a busy buyer with 5 purchases in 3 days particularly strengthening your midfield. Whilst many managers struggle to really make a winning team out of the players presented to them, are you happy with the team your actions in the market at the present?
A: I needed to bring in a few new faces as well as clear out players who just would not feature, but overall I am reasonably happy with what I have considering I did not have any money to spend, maybe I will unearth a hidden gem.
Q: Parker Sutherland gave you some well needed econs when you sold him but this has left you with only the one goal-keeper in Cameron Peyton. Some managers have stressed the importance of a skilled second goal-keeper whilst a few take a chance with just one. Do you have any substitute goal-keepers coming up through the ranks right now or what are your thoughts?A I always have two keepers but I felt the two I started with where to simular, I prefer to have a younger less experienced second choice keeper to bring on, I will have a second Keeper in place for the start of the season but at the same time I will not be rushed into any rash signings.
Q: The team has been engaged in three pre-season friendlies, the 3-1 win against Chelsea by far the most successful, have these in any way helped you determine your chances in the coming season?
A: I always like to play friendlies but I don't take them to seriously, I tend to use them to give fringe players a game as well as looking at weakness points within the squad, as for this season I will be looking to finish mid table and move on from there.
Q: Your favoured formation in your career has been a straight 4-4-2, and you can now draw from a steady midfield to handle the ball between the offensive and defensive lines. Without hinting too much of your tactics – explain this love affair between you and the 4-4-2.
A: I have always favoured 4-4-2 I dont know why but it just feels right almost comfortable, all of my teams play that formation and they have all been successful, but at the same time I am not fixed on that formation I do on occassion like to throw a spanner in the works, it keeps my opponents guessing.
Well good luck Wienersnitzel from us at the RM invitational, we wish you the best and are happy to see you join the league. The Alsancak F.C name alone has already provided you with the first place in division 3.

Totaalvoetbal Triumphant
Totaalvoetbal overcame a spirited EASTHAM FC side to be crowned league champions after Yorkshires Amateurs defeated Hun Haters 4-1. The evening had started poorly for the home side as Miquel Oriol headed into his own goal. They kept passing and attempted to get into their attacking rhythm as the half progressed. A breakaway Johan Juffing goal giving them the impetus they needed. Just before half-time Shirsh Vajpayee was to head home what was to be the winning goal. A Pierre van Diemen missed penalty couldn't dampen the day as Totaal were crowned champions at the final whistle. Retiring Abbas Erol had this to say, "I've had two amazing seasons here at Totaal and ended up with a Championship medal. Dreams do come true." EASTHAM have proven more than a match for anyone during the campaign and will look to add more consistency next term which should result in a title challenge.
Hun Haters were to suffer heartbreak as Yorkshires Amateurs put in a stunning performance to win 4-1 at The Thorp Arches. The Amateurs attacked from the start and were rewarded when Hans Riegler fired in a free-kick. A penalty miss by Riegler followed by a Ibrahim Sasanian equaliser briefly threatened to derail the home side but they quickly hit back. Murray Davis firing in from distance to re-establish their lead. When Justin Morgan headed home from a corner before half-time you sensed the wind knocked out of the title chasers. Fred Franklin confirmed the victory after 53 minutes with another header and left Hun Haters looking at a third placed finish. The victory confirmed the opinion that Yorkshires Amateurs will be competing at the top of the table next season while Hun will surely go again after their young side develops after the report.
ThunderCats F.C did what they could to attempt to bring the title to Thundera as they defeated Reggae Reggae Sauce (Doncaster Rovers) 3-0. They hit the visitors hard with a dominant first-half performance as firstly Leonardo Borja netted a free-kick. Further first-half goals from Izet Hadzic, a header and long range shot, virtually made sure of the points as they listened for scores elsewhere. When news of Totaal's lead came through ThunderCats were a little more lacklustre after the interval and saw the game out as 3-0 victors. ThunderCats look sure to challenge again next season while Reggae Reggae Sauce will look to establish themselves at the top of Division One.
Crystal Palace demolished St Omer (Glasgow Rangers) 8-0 to record the largest victory margin ever in the RM leagues. Bernie Molseley, Lou Stamp and Mark Bright all netted braces as Palace ran riot. Carl Fletcher and Shefki Kuqi added further goals as Palace ended the season on a high. Despite the win Palace news reported that, "Palace will look to build the squad over the next season or two and see how things go but the squad is definitely looking weak and old and needs some rejuvinating." St Omer will be depending on new manager ConyTottee to reshape their club for a more successful future.
Cathal's identity crisis deepened but despite this he managed to lead his newly branded Marseille side to a 2-0 victory over West Brown Strollers. Rafaele Di Muri scored a brace to make sure the former champions would end their season on a high before the expected brilliant change report. West Brom, under Jackbaggie, will be another of the clubs who will be looking to rebuild next season, "We can look forward to next season where the aim is obviously to regain our top flight status." said the new boss.
Greatness Take Title
The title showdown between F.C. Greatness and AFC Stanley went the way of the home side following a controlled performance. Inspirational defender Dennis Gyllenhielm opened the scoring from a corner after 12 minutes. Stanley, looking for a point to secure the title, found themselves unable to get through a tight defensive unit and not even an injury to Rachao in the Greatness goal could help them. The title was confirmed for the hosts when Fabio Cannavaro scored the second on 70 minutes to set off celebrations amongst the home support. Greatness chairman, Mr McMahon, was in jubilant mood, "I can't believe it, it's the greatest day of my life and in Greatness history." Stanley manager, Markham33, was dignified in defeat, "Well done Daz, tactics spot on." said the boss. Both sides can be proud of their achievements and both will be looking to build on it in the RM Invitational next season.
Goals Aloud were relegated as they slumped to a 4-2 defeat at home to FC Joga Bonito. The home side did take the lead through a Rowley Kinsella strike but were undone by a three goal blitz before half-time. Reinhold Bolte scored first for the visitors before Demetrio Delpiano scored his twelth of the season. Marzuki Nugraha finished well in the penalty area to leave the hosts with a mountain to climb in the second-half. Goals Aloud pushed hard after the break but their only reward was to be a Constantino de Melo header after 83 minutes. FCJB sealed the win when Shinosuke Isimaru headed in during injury-time. Goals Aloud News reported that, "Even though it's been a short period of time in Division One for Ocs18 he has enjoyed it immensely." After the positive impact he made during his stay the future looks bright for Goals Aloud. The same could also be said for Joga after Jimmy led a mid-season revival after the club looked to be slipping under previous management.
Santos FC finished their promotion winning campaign with a 2-1 win away at Newry City. In an end-to-end encounter it was the home side who took the lead through reliable forward Muharem Husic. Santos quickly turned the game on its head in a four minute spell. Torbjorn Alshammar scoring his eleventh goal of the season from a free-kick before Sonny Ozzinho struck from inside the penalty area. Santos coach, Sean7, was thrilled with his side's season, "I'm really proud of my boys. We have a bunch who give their heart and soul into the game." Newry can also look forward to the new season after consolidating following the previous season's relegation.
Three Lions finished on a high as they made it 0-0-18 for Leeds United. Leeds managed to create chances throughout the game but Zlatan Izuhimovic and Luca Tonizu showed more composure in front of goal to make sure of the points for the home side. Izuka was predicting big things following their fourth placed finish, "We stopped going for promotion ages ago because our younger generation couldn't get the hang of top flight football and I had to give them more games to adjust to the high tempo. We'll own the division next season." The expectations are bound to be slightly less at Leeds United who have suffered two successive relegations and will need to rebuild from the bottom up.
Tropical Thunder and Juventus played out a 1-1 draw at Larkfield to end their seasons. Alberto Morante struck first for the visitors but the lead proved to be shortlived as Nicoli Maresca shot in to ensure the game would finish all square. Tropical Thunder will be looking to bounce back at the first possible opportunity next season while Juventus will look to push onwards following their survival.

United Win Title on Final Day
Manchester United hit top spot at the perfect time to win the Division Two title. A tight match with Real Madrid held a lot of tension as supporters listened out for news of Kirkbride. Young superstar Mohammed Khadduri was to be the hero with a stunning 38th minute free-kick which left Nersesian helpless. Madrid found it hard to penetrate a tough United outfit and when news filtered through that Kirkbride had suffered a surprise defeat the party well and truly had begun. After a comfortable mid-table finish Real Madrid can hope to push on in Season Three but this day was purely about United as they brought an end to a brilliant campaign in the best possible way.
Kirkbride Strollers were the side who suffered as Kroklund inflicted a surprise 2-1 defeat on them. A very even game had an early goal through Jorma Vuohenoja as a shock was on the cards. Kirkbride haven't got where they have without a backbone, however, and they fought all the way to the end. They looked to have given themselves a lifeline when Ian Irvine headed in a dramatic 89th minute equaliser but heartbreak was just round the corner. A minute later Vuohenoja picked up the ball from deep before hitting in an unstoppable shot that left Kirkbride on their knees. Jazza1958 was keen to send his best to the other managers after a long season, "Good luck to all the managers from league 2 for next season, this has been a most enjoyable series." Kirkbride, despite this setback, will surely challenge the best Division One has to offer while Kroklund look to be in good shape to bounce straight back following relegation.
The Vikings suffered a last day defeat to Los Samgeles Kings but it didn't stop the promotion celebrations in Viking Land. The game was overshadowed by two serious injuries, one to either side. Melker Ahlm and Anze Kopitar the unfortunate duo whose futures could now depend on what awaits them in the change report. The game itself didn't have many chances but Los Samgeles shaded those that were. The winner came in the 55th minute when Michal Handzus finished well from a breakaway move to give the loyal band of away support a lasting memory of an otherwise forgettable season. Finishing rock-bottom Los Samgeles will be keen to see the back of the campaign but following the appointment of Stripy things are looking much brighter. Eaglesrjh will now move onto preparing his side for the new season after admitting that this game would "feature every player not yet at 100% match experience."
Liverpool and Pahang United played out a goalless draw as they finished fourth and fifth respectively. Pahang were guilty of numerous indiscretions as referee Frank Redkard was kept busy. Liverpool News summed up the game perfectly saying it was an 'anticlimax.' Manager Buttons clarified their off-season plans, "The boys will go for a weeks holiday before reporting back for the pre-season tournament against other teams in the league."
AJ Rovers and Kensington Boys Club played out an entertaining 2-2 draw to bring their seasons to a close. Kensington raced into a seventh minute lead when Aubrey de Vere headed in. They were to make another of their three chances count as Cameron Nowell fired in from distance at the start of the second-half to put them 2-0 ahead and looking good for the points. AJ stormed back, though, and when Gregory Rowling headed in you sensed the belief in the team rise. Darcy Clare duly equalised just after the hour as they ensured they would gain a point to finish their season. They will hope for better things next season while Kensington will look to establish themselves in a lower division following their relegation.

Wonderous White Hawk set Record
White Hawk FC set a new points record as they capped a superb debut season with a 2-1 win at worley afc. The game proved far from comfortable for the champions as wortley belied their league position with a passionate display. White Hawk took the lead through a Charly Chan Jet Soe shot after 9 minutes. This lead wasn't to last long as the hosts continued to trouble Hawk. Michael Keeler was the scorer as he gave Dankoi no chance in the visiting goal. The second-half proved as competitive as the first but it was the leaders who grabbed the decisive third goal. Clyde Nageswar was the hero as he rose well to meet an Adan Donahue cross. White Hawk will look to take Division Two by storm next season while wortley will look to improve on their first showing in the league.
Southampton sealed promotion in second place as they overcame a slow start to defeat Charlottenburg FC 1-0. The home side created the only opportunities of the opening period as the game struggled to burst into life. Southampton were to be much improved after the interval and took the lead when Leopold Beazley fired in. Further chances came and went but one goal proved enough as the Saints marched up a division. Hardinho was already looking ahead to the new season apprehensively, "I am glad I got promoted although I kinda wish I didn't. Next season I could be the arse kicking boys." Charlottenburg, meanwhile, will feel they are in a much stronger position to push for promotion as their players progress.
Belly Tubbies were promoted following final day heroics at home to These Charming Men. Needing a win to secure Division Two status for next season Belly Tubbies always looked to have the edge on their struggling opponents. Dave Whittingham scoring a penalty in the 37th minute to relax the nerves and encourage the supporters to celebrate. Belly Tubbies were the dominant force after the interval and promotion was secured when Mark Lysenko netted from inside the area. These Charming Men will need Grimeslufc to unearth a few gems over silly season if they are to push for promotion next season while Belly Tubbies will hope to make a similar impact on Division Two as they had on Division Three.
The Fracture gang were the unfortunate side to finish in fourth after demolishing Carthage FC 4-0. Going into the final round still harbouring hopes of promotion The gang played with a passion suggesting they believed it would happen. After a half-hour they were 2-0 up following goals from Darren Houghton and Elton Mills. The chances kept flowing for the away side as you sensed the home had packed up in preparation for the new campaign. Stephen Lorimer made it three with a fine header and another was to follow in the same fashion when Ferdinand Tattershall rose highest to nod past Cumbo. Both sides will expect to be pushing next season following their fourth and fifth finishes respectively.
Much is expected of Morley Town F.C. for the upcoming season following another victory, this time over The Posh by a 2-1 scoreline. Dustin Wotton opened the scoring for the visitors as they opened up the home side at will. The crucial second goal came after 61 minutes with an Angres Kafka breakaway goal. Jack Lightbody did cause a little unrest when he pulled one back for The Posh but it wasn't enough to prevent Morley Town from chalking up the win. Morley News reported that, "Morley can be expected to see some action before next season starts" regarding new signings. Exciting times for Morley with The Posh hoping their youthful approach to this season pays dividends for next.

ConyTottee Takes On Glasgow Rangers
ConyTottee today became new manager of Glasgow Rangers as preparations for Season Three gathered pace.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience CT should be able to signal a more successful period for the ailing club who have fallen on hard times this season following promotion the season before.
"I wasn't planning on bringing in a manager for this post from the outside but ConyTottee has changed my mind." said Meeblind.
"I think he will be an asset to the league and look forward to him joining up with the club."

Totaalvoetbal Crowned Champions
Totaalvoetbal came from behind to defeat EASTHAM FC 2-1 earlier today. Their result coupled with Yorkshires Amateurs' stunning 4-1 success at home to Hun Haters was enough to crown Totaalvoetbal RM Invitational Champions.
The home side got off to the worse possible start when Miquel Oriol headed into his own net after just six minutes.
With EASTHAM looking dangerous Totaal looked anything but champion material. However, a cool breakaway move saw Johan Juffing equalise after 25 minutes.
Just before half-time came the goal that would win Totaal their very first top division title. Horacio Metelo crossing beautifully for a superbly timed Shirsh Vajpayee header to beat Larkin.
Totaal were to be much improved after the break as they tightened up and still continued to make chances. They couldn't add to their lead, however, as they missed several chances including a Pierre van Diemen penalty.
It wasn't to matter as the celebrations began as word came through that Amateurs had conquered HH.
"What a performance from the boys this season." said Meeblind.
"They've gone unbeaten for a second season and that's a massive achievement.
"We looked shaky for a time today but again we've shown great belief and come from behind to get a result. We deserve this title."
Midfielder Abbas Erol was delighted to retire on a high,
"I've had two amazing seasons here at Totaal and ended up with a Championship medal. Dreams do come true. I leave with nothing but love for this club."
Horacio Metelo once again proved an inspiration,
"I delivered a couple of decent passes, that's all. The whole squad have worked hard for this success. We now enjoy it with a party or two."
An embarrassed Pierre van Diemen vowed to give up penalties after another miss threatened the victory,
"Metelo wanted to take it anyway. I think i've taken my last one for a while. Who cares though? We are champions!"
Indeed, a great ending to a great season for Totaalvoetbal.

Greatness Become Champs!
Final game of the season, top vs second the battle to become champion. AFC Stanley have a two point lead, so F.C. Greatness have to go for the win and with the home crowd behind them, the game can go anyway.
Before the game started there was an award celebration for Enok, the super-swede gets the golden boot award for the division and another one for the league. Which was presented by Manager Darren Calvert. The crowd had massive banners of the swede saying come on champs, the fans are fully behind the team at Cedar Road.
Both teams come out, to do battle for the league with huge cheers from both crowds.
And Greatness didn't dissapoint on the 12min mark, Fabrizio Colluato cross from the corner put of all players through Dennis Gyllenhlem to smash a volly into the back of the net, the star player as to the best player in the league. What a player he's been at the back and like a world class player scores in big occation. Greatness pushing for the title can AFC Stanely come back.
In the second half Fernão Rachão got injuried from a corner, was that an accident? Greatness have no reserve goalkeeper and striker Ronaldo Soares as to but on the gloves, how more tense can this game be.
But Fabrizio Colluato is controlling the game, the memories of the last game these two teams played his 89th min own goal must be motivating the young italian. And on the 70mins Fabio Cannavaro slots in the winning goal and Manager Darren Calvert is on his knee's. Voted buy fans as the worst player of the season as become an instant hero. The whistle blows and the Greatness fans come running on to the pitch celebrating with the team and staff, a great sight for a great ending for Greatness!
Gazzetta Sport speak to a happy chairman Vince Kennedy McMahon:
"I cant believe it, its the greatest day of my life and in Greatness history...................... I have to thank the players and the staff and lettering Manger Darren Calvert do his magic, what a Manager, he's put together a great punch of players, old and young and come up trumps....................................................The Fans have been the awesome and are the greatest fans in the world!"

Patrik Press - Interview 1
RM Invitational news caught up with Darren Calvert at the very last day of the season to speak to him about a player that is becoming something of a legend at Cedar Road.
Dear Mr Calvert
It is now only a few days until Enok "Greatness" Vahlström officially leaves Cedar Road. I am aware that at the moment you are quite busy preparing for the all-decisive match against AFC Stanley and thank you for your time.
Q: “I understand it must be hard for you as your second best goalscorer of all time goes on to less green pastures. Explain the feeling right now and any thoughts on who will be able to replace him, goal-wise?”
A “It is a shame about Enok, been fantastic for us, which is a big miss for us against AFC Stanley. Benfari is our all time top goal scorer and after two impressive seasons, they'll have to keep an eye on him. 17 year old Recoba showed against Leeds with his free-kick, that he's the new kid on the block.”
Q: You signed Enok to FC Greatness on the 15th of January he and made his debut against Newry City on the very next day, sealing the win with two fantastic dead-ball situations and one can tell he already has a really big red heart for the club, did you early on realise what it was that you had signed to the club and what Greatness would be achieved through his golden boots this season?
A: “Of course him and Benafri would have gone toe to toe and make a great partnership.”
RM Invitiational news also managed to bump into Enok while recovering from his injury and got a few minutes with Mr Greatness himself
Q: Now, Enok Vahlström, How can you explain your excellent form this season? 14 goals in 14 matches?
A: All down to the great manager giving me this chance, its easy to score with such good players.
Q: The last match in your career against Newry City will, sadly, be remembered not only for your stunning shot in the 24th minute, but also the horrible injury that occurred only 20 minutes later. Can you tell us about the injury? Was that a reason for retiring at this moment in your career?
A: I would have retired last year, but early talks with the Manager Darren Calvert, saw great potential in me and how the club will have success.
Q: Any final words you would like to share for your adoring fans?
A: "You Really Are The Greatest Fans In The World!"We wish both Mr Calvert and Mr Vahlström great luck in the future.

Markham33 vs DarrenCalvert For The Title
Tuesdays game see's AFC Stanley against F.C. Greatness, in the title decider. Last time these two teams met AFC Stanely won with a 89th mins own goal, of the operning start of the season.
AFC Stanely have look solid all the way threw the season, solid at the back and not leaking weak goals. And have players in x pert eleven in each weeks. F.C. Greatness, Manager as brought in top class player, to solid the back and sign the super-swede two games into the season which as as been scoring for fun. His annousment of retirement as shock the world, as he was the leading scorer but threw injury as to hang up his boots earlier and AFC Stanely as avolded the Swede his season, which could be key.
But F.C. Greatness have to go for the win to win the league. But sure both managers would been well happy the the siuation before the season started, getting promotion and battling for the title, in a story like ending, but which team will end in a fariy-tale!

I need a pair of drawers..!
"I NEED A PAIR OF DRAWS by total and hun haters!" said manager meelas when interviewed before the final game of the season..the thundercats who started of well looked as they could just grab the title this season; however a slip in the eastham game playing an underage team has had him quaking in his pants everyweek for bad results for totalvoetbal and hunhaters...however he hasnt got nothin yet..both teams are still ahead of him by just TWO points..manager meelas had this to say" THIS SEASON WAS NECK AND NECK THROUGHOUT! THE COMPETITION ISNT OVER YET WITH ONE MORE MATCH TO GO! I MUST SAY I AM NERVOUS! IM SHIVERING! I CANT TAKE IT NO MORE! I NEED A PAIR OF DRAWERS!"
Jackbaggie in at 23rd
With 23rd Professionals manager Nick leaving last night, the club wasted no time in appointing a new boss.
The club have taken a chance on a youthful appointment and both them and admin Robin Meeblind are hopeful Jack will repay their faith,
"He is a young man who came to me as he wanted a new challenge.
"I am happy to give him that opportunity with a good set of players.
"I hope he enjoys meeting the managers in the league and when the time comes, competing in it as well.
"I wish him luck."

Final Day Thriller On Cards in RM
Hun Haters, Totaalvoetbal and ThunderCats F.C will go into the final round of the RM Invitational all harbouring hopes of being crowned champions after winning their respective games.
Leaders Hun Haters attacked Doncaster from the start as they set about trying to improve their goal difference. Ted Caird headed in the opener after 35 minutes before they suffered a nasty injury to star forward Iain Emery. David Mailer looked to have settled the game with a quality strike after 63 minutes but when Niall Sefton headed in for the visitors you could feel the tension set in amongst the home support. Anything less than a win would have been harsh on the hosts as they created numerous opportunities to score more goals but they will hope to be more clinical in their final game with Yorkshires Amateurs.
Totaalvoetbal kept themselves in the race by edging out Crystal palace 2-1. Once Pierre van Diemen had thumped home from distance you sensed it was a case of how many they would win by rather than if they would win at all. However, a succession of missed chances and a good away side contributed to a very competitive game. Palace looked to have all but ended their championship hopes when Mark Bright curled home from distance. The hosts were to show tremendous character by coming straight back. Abbas Erol hitting the bar before van Diemen produced an exquisite lob to win the game. Meeblind was a relieved man, "It was tight at the end but i've got to be delighted with the points."
ThunderCats F.C thumped 23rd Professionals to stay alive also but will be looking for slip-ups if they are to become champions. With the away side in turmoil due to an awol manager, who would resign post-match, ThunderCats set about them showing no mercy. Juliano Leite scored a brace to add to goals from Leonardo Borja, Nelson Queimado and Fabricio Cidade to put the hosts 5-0 up at the interval. ThunderCats seemed to be saving themselves during a quiet second-half and settled for another Cidade effort to complete the victory. With a superior goal difference, draws from the top two along with a win for ThunderCats will see them crowned champions. 23rd Professionals, meanwhile, will hope for a brighter future under Jackbaggie2000.
EASTHAM FC delivered a fine performance to defeat Yorkshires Amateurs 3-0. Creating the better chances EASTHAM netted through Terence Sutherland and a Samuel Maricon brace to leave their visitors shell-shocked. Defeat did not sit well with Amateurs' boss Danlufc13, "I don't like losing and I will be making some more changes for our next game. I think our performances the last couple of games highlight the lack of depth in our squad, something I will need to deal with at the end of the season."
AS Roma thumped Glasgow Rangers in the day's other game. Captain Sid Peyton started the rout with a fine header and a Rafaele Di Muri brace settled the game before the interval. Stanko Marincic added another goal as Roma created chances at will before Geomar Zanchi scored an undeserved goal for Rangers. Roma manager Cathalio admitted to being a bit nervous ahead of the change, "The change report for me a week ago looked great but now I fear that it will be quite disappointing."

Goals Needed for Aloud
Goals Aloud stunned Santos FC with a wonderful performance at Estadio do Deus. Defeating the home side 4-1 they kept their slim hopes of avoiding relegation alive. In a very open game Goals Aloud were 2-0 up after 32 minutes. Trevor Fazackerley heading in before Dustin Digby poked home after a corner. Santos managed to get one back before half-time through Adriano Ribeiro but that was as good as it got for the Brazilians. Fazackerley added his second after 65 minutes and when Howard Harrell headed in after 80 minutes the game was settled. Goals Aloud will need to score plenty in defeating Joga and hope Juventus suffer defeat at Tropical Thunder to have any hope but the up-turn under Ocs18 has been remarkable. Ocs was quick to thank the fans for their "fantastic support." Despite the defeat Santos were confirmed as promoted as Newry City failed to win.
Three Lions FC were the team who ended Newry's promotion hopes with a welcome return to form. Luca Tonizu scored a breakaway goal before both sides suffered an injury at an important time of the season. Three Lions maintained their stranglehold on the game and sealed a deserved win when Tonizu added his second with time running out. Both sides will be looking to push for promotion next season after performing admirably during this.
Tropical Thunder had their relegation confirmed following a 1-1 draw with FC Joga Bonito. It was an encouraging performance by Thunder who more than matched their visitors for chances. Lauro Poggi had put the home side ahead before the magical Demetrio Delpiano equalised to ensure the teams would go in level at the interval. A late penalty miss by Geovany Dainelli proved costly as the home side surrendered their chance of winning the game and relegation was confirmed. News coming out of Thunder was upbeat however, "The season has been hard going for Thunder, but they now need to look at improving and ensuring that next season sees them return to the first division."
AFC Stanley remained at the top of the table and set up a title battle with F.C. Greatness after defeating Juventus 3-0 at Garden Street. An early penalty from Enrico Fuentes laid the foundation for the win and when he headed in a second after 58 minutes you sensed the game was up. The superb Garry Molseley added a third to ensure they would go into their big match in good form and spirits. Markham33 was seen on the forum showing his class by saying, "May the best team win."
Greatness warmed up for the game with a thumping win of their own over Leeds United. Fabrizio Colluato scored two quick breakaway goals to put them 2-0 up at the interval and with Leeds barely threatening you sensed the game was over. Paolo Serena added a third before Alvaro Recoba, deputising for Vahlstrom, hit an excellent free-kick as Leeds toiled. Experienced defender Bernardi spoke with local press after the game, "A great result for us, it was a must win game and we played good football."

Top Three Thrive on Promotion
The top three in Division Two all won as they secured their respective promotions to Division One for next season.
Kirkbride Strollers had the toughest task on paper, facing a Liverpool side led by the impressive Buttons. It proved every bit as tight as had been anticipated with both sides knowing how much was at stake. The game became more stretched after the interval with chances for both sides. The winning goal wasn't to arrive until the 81st minute, and a brilliant goal it was too. Fraser Symington scoring his fifth goal of an excellent campaign to condemn Liverpool to Division Two football next season and ensure promotion for the Strollers. Buttons was magnanimous post-match, "Oh well, Division Two football next season, had a good run. Well done to all who got promoted."
Manchester United made sure of promotion by outplaying Kroklund Kings 2-0. Kroklund suffered two early setbacks when they had to replace Curt Elliott and Michel de Nostredame because of injuries. United took advantage scoring in the 35th minute after fine work by Jahangir Ridwan allowed Abdul-Salam to head in. United continued to press for more goals and eventually were rewarded after 80 minutes. Exciting young talent Mohammed Khadduri scoring from a free-kick to complete a 2-0 victory. United were promoted as a result of the contest but the fate for Kroklund was at the other end of the spectrum as they were relegated. The news didn't surprise bossebong, "Relegated! But that was expected." the Kroklund manager said simply.
In another promotion-relegation encounter The Vikings won 2-1 against Kensington Boys Club. The Vikings were the dominant side throughout the game, creating many chances as they looked to finish the season as a Division One side in waiting. Kensington shocked them approaching the hour-mark, though, as Algernon Bunbury fired in from a corner to leave them dreaming of an unlikely escape from relegation. The Vikings kept playing their football despite the shock of going a goal behind and equalised shortly afterwards. Forward Justin Portway timing his run to perfection to finish well. Portway was to go on to win the game for the home side when he, again, found space in the area to beat Gardiner and get the party started in Viking Land. Despite winning promotion Eagles had sympathy for Buttons after his was the side to miss out, "I have a lot of respect for Buttons and his team and am sure they will challenge again next season but at the moment I just want to revel in my first promotion."
AJ Rovers took matters into their own hands to avoid relegation by defeating Real Madrid FC 2-1 at Bernabeu. AJ saved one of their best performances for when they needed it most to defeat the home side despite going behind. The goal scorer for Madrid was Willie Rhodes as they took advantage of their only opportunity of the half. Rovers weren't behind for long as Elling Jarnoy delivered a long range shot of some quality to ensure parity at the interval. The winner coming shortly after the break as Gordon Hogg scored only his second goal of the season to ensure survival. FredRizzo clearly has match experience on his mind as Madrid's season winds down with Madrid News reporting, "With survival already assured for next season, the manager can take risks such as these (playing reserves) in order to further develop his players."
Pahang United defeated Los Samgeles Kings by the odd goal in five as two sides with nothing to play for met in an exciting game. Pahang attacked throughout the game and got their reward in the first-half. Jeremias Linderman, Thomas Bienert and Holger Pfitzner all scoring before the break to give Pahang a 3-0 lead. Los Samgeles have been galvanised under Stripy8 and put in an improved effort after the interval. Two late goals from Ricky Hoffman and Ralph Marnoch caused a few late jitters among the home team but it was Pahang who held on for a deserved win.

Whittingham Stuns Saints
Southampton manager Hardinho was left stunned as his side performed admirably but still found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline at Belly Tubbies. "More possession, more chances, MOTR and I lose 3-1...what?" mumbled a baffled coach after watching his side come unstuck. It started well for the Saints as Aaron Winder enhanced his growing reputation with a lovely free-kick. A much improved second-half display saw Belly Tubbies roar back into the contest. They were level when Derek Hammond headed in a corner and the stage was set for Dave Whittingham to take over. Performing admirably at the back the defender went up to transform the game with two superb free-kicks. The first one after 68 minutes gave the hosts the lead and when he hammered in after 77 minutes the game was sealed. With Belly Tubbies just two points behind Southampton and The Fracture gang a further point behind the Tubbies the stage is set for an amazing final day.
The Fracture gang remained in the hunt by beating wortley afc 2-1. Emmanuel Capwell had given the visitors a great start by finishing off a free-kick move as they set about controlling the first-half. The managerless home side stormed back after the break and when Capwell went from hero to zero by putting through his own goal the scores were level. The gang continued to force chances but left it late to seal the win. Darren Houghton picked the ball up from deep before hitting a priceless winner home. There was further good news for The gang wen they appointed a new manager in Jamesmclaughlin to give them renewed optimism in their push for promotion.
White Hawk FC put in a dominant performance in brushing aside These Charming Men by a scoreline of 3-0. The hosts never looking back after taking a sixth minute lead through Clyde Nageswar. Playing with a confidence that comes with knowing you've finished head and shoulders above the rest White Hawk pushed TCM back for large periods. The did suffer a massive blow after 58 minutes when Clarence Ong A Fat suffered an injury that will keep him out until March 15th. It is hoped it won't have too much bearing on his change report figures. The win was sealed with two second-half goals, the first from Ryan Dharmsingh after a precise ball by Kouakou. Adan Donahue fired in after a corner wasn't cleared to end the misery for the visiting side.
Morley Town F.C. continued to show promise of things to come with a good showing in a 3-0 win over Charlottenburg FC. In an open contest Morley had to recover from the shock of a penalty miss after 29 minutes by Roger Farrell. All the goals came in the second-half as the game was almost all-out attack. Art Boyle headed in for the opener before Anfres Kafka scored direct from a free-kick. An injury-time shot for Kadir Bereket completed the win with Morley News reporting, "..after a shocking first half of the season Morley look like a totally different team and will hope to take their good form into next season."
Carthage were the division's other winners as they kept The Posh at the foot of the table. Hannibal Barca netted his sixth of the season with a quality header as the home side took the lead in the second-half. When Amin Mansourian scored from a set-piece move you sensed it was game over but The Posh showed a lot of spirit to force their way back into the contest. Gianmarco Siligardi netting to set-up an exciting finale. A late penalty miss by Barca didn't alter the result as Carthage held on to move into the top five.

The Vikings 2 - 1 Kensington Boys Club
Viking Land News
Major celebrations as Vikings clinch promotion.
Vikngland is bouncing today with the news that the team will be playing first division football next season. The Vikings win coupled with Liverpools loss to Kirkbride means promotion is now assured even though for large parts of the game it looked like the Vikings forwards were going to draw blanks again!
The Vikings could have been wondering if it was not going to be their day as early as the 10th minute when Papakostas' excellent bending free kick beat the Kensington keeper but not the upright. The team had been told to be positive and Strachan had a header blocked on 23 as they prodded for openings. Another free kick followed on 25 but this time Papakostas got the ball inside the posts but the Kensington keeper did excellently to turn the shot round the post. Ahlm then wasted a golden opportunity on 41 heading straight at the keeper when left unmarked. 0-0 at half time, the Vikings bossing possession and creating chances but again failing to turn this into goals.
At this point the Kirkbride-Liverpool game was also goalless and if results had stayed like this then a very nervous last game would have followed.
Early in the second half Papakostas continued to exasperate his manager with another free kick which was aimed straight at the keeper. And then it happened, Kensington forced a corner and when the Vikings defence failed to deal with it Bunbury showed what a prolific striker should do and scored with his first (and his teams only) chance.
With the other game still 0-0 at this moment the Vikings had dropped out the top three and would not have had their destiny in their own hands. The manager was seen on the touch line bellowing instructions and telling his senior players to get hold of the game, however it was the managers earlier decision to start with young high form Justin Portway that was to make the difference.
Portway levelled the game on 71 lobbing the ball over the advancing Gardiner as Milic had slotted him through with a great ball. This was Portways first goal for the club and one he and his manager will never forget. Papakostas then again practised hitting free kicks straight at the keeper on 73 as the Vikings looked for the winner that would at least ensure that they had control over their own future. Then on 81 minutes a roar went round the ground as news filtered through from the bush that Fraser Symington had done for Kirkbride what Papakostas was failing to do for the Vikings and had scored from a free kick to put kirkbride ahead.
The roar seemed to lift the home team and 2 minutes later Papakostas decided to pass rather than shoot and laid the ball off for Portway who finished with a maturity belying his 17yrs. The home fans celebrated the goal as if winning the championship itself as realisation dawned that if results stayed as they were then the Vikings were up!
An eternity went by as the Vikings looked to see out the win and where the ref found a full 5 minutes of injury time we will never know!! The final whistle had gone at the bush as well and it was official the Vikings had done it and were promoted.
Richard Humphries had a huge smile on his face as he greeted the players coming off the pitch but he reserved extra special attention for Portway who had repaid the managers gamble of putting such a young player into such a big game with the two goals that put the team up.
The manager was understandably happy after the game which he felt his side definitely deserved to win with 60% possession and 8 chances to 1. He however did have some sympathy for buttons the manager of Liverpool, "it's been clear for a while now that one out of 4 teams was going to have the heartbreak of missing out this year" said the manager "and I have a lot of respect for buttons and his team and am sure they will challenge again next season but at the moment I just want to revel in my first promotion"
"The last game of the season will now feature every player not yet at 100% match experience even if it means playing a stupid formation and having an average age of less than 26 throughout the team" said the boss "the game now has no bearing on promotion or relegation so I feel I can do this with a clear mind."
Get through this game, get the change report and prepare for life in division 1 seemed to be the managers theory. All in all happy times for Humphries and the Viking team.

Diemen Sets Up D-Day
A brace from Pierre van Diemen led Totaalvoetbal to a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace and made sure that the title race would go right down to the wire.
The striker had set the hosts off on the right foot after a powerful long range shot after just 4 minutes.
Crystal Palace proved a determined opponent, however, and equalised through Mark Bright with just sixteen minutes left on the clock.
With time running out it was left to van Diemen to again beat Flahavan from distance to complete the victory and set up a thrilling climax to a superb season.Palace came with an edge to their play and set the tone with a first minute booking for Bernie Molseley.
Totaalvoetbal have seen this approach before and didn't let it effect them as they took an early lead. Horacio Metelo, often at the heart of the best of the home side, produced a good ball to free van Diemen. The forward quickly had the ball under control before rifling a shot into the net to ease the tension in the crowd.
Following another booking Palace pressed their hosts back for a spell in a show of defiance. Shefki Kuqi heading over when he, perhaps, should have done better.
Palace 'keeper Flahavan took a knock and would have been relieved that a Metelo free-kick didn't fully test him.
The early stages of the second-half saw Totaal have to reshuffle as Alexeij Ogliarki was the victim of some robust treatment and had to be replaced by Kenneth Timmer.
Forward van Diemen was in sparkling form and had another shot flash just wide.
Metelo had a free-kick effort go close as Totaal looked to extend their lead and settle nerves.
The away side weren't done, though, and Kuqi had another header go close, albeit under pressure from the excellent Oriol.
Within minutes Palace were level following a splendid strike from Mark Bright. Seeing nothing on in front of him the forward decided to hit a shot, the swerve deceiving Keizer and ending up in the goal.
Far from being disheartened the home side regrouped and attacked Palace again. Abbas Erol nearly producing a piece of magic with a lob that hit the bar.
They got their reward after 83 minutes after skipper Cees van Nisterooy slipped a pass through to van Diemen for the forward to lob Flahavan who had been caught off his line.
Totaal tried to extend their lead with a free-kick that found the head of Johan Juffing who in turn grazed the bar.
This was to be the last action as the home side held on for their victory and remained in second spot behind Hun Haters.
"We did what we had to." said Meeblind.
"Only just though. It was tight at the end but i've got to be delighted with the points.
"The division has got the final day it deserved really and may the best side win, be it ourselves, Hun Haters or ThunderCats."

Jamesmclaughlin was today appointed manager of The Fracture gang after a busy hour or so for admin Robin Meeblind.
Meeblind explained how events unfolded during the evening,
"I prepared my side for a tough encounter and watched us edge a win over Palace.
"Then I was able to have a chat with MadMagpie and get him and Northwich all signed up.
"After dashing across to manage my Belgium side in Hardy's league I have come back and been delighted to find James wanting to take up The Fracture challenge.
"They have had a good season and I believe James will enjoy the challenge he now faces.
"I am happy to have him here and wish him luck."

MadMagpie brings in Northwich Victoria
The RM Invitational can today welcome a very good young manager in MadMagpie.
He brings in his Northwich Victoria side in the bottom league for next season and will bring some more quality to a league getting stronger by the day.
"This application took me by surprise but i'm happy to have MadMagpie join us." said an excited admin.
"He is a very accomplished manager and will no doubt show off his talents by building a successful side.
"I'm sure the rest of the managers will join me in wishing him the best of luck and a long and happy stay in the RM Invitational."

Jammas Up N Coming Join League
Jammas Up N Coming joined the league ahead of Season Three as the league looked to get managers in place for a swift beginning.
Having recently lost The Fracture gang's manager the news of Jamma99 joining the league pleased admin Meeblind,
"He is another big name boss for our league and one who will add undoubted quality.
"I'd like to thank Hardinho for the recommendation once more and wish Jamma the best of luck with his team. I'm sure he'll find a few friendly faces in the scribble and I hope he has a long and successful stay in the RM Invitational."

The Vikings 0-0 Pahang United
Viking Land News
Toothless Vikings stumbling onwards.
The Vikings drew a blank against Pahang today as promotion is still very much in the balance.
Pahang started the brighter and had a shot on 7 that was saved by the Vikings keeper. The Vikings hit back on 12 but the pahang keeper was equal to Toursounidis's header. This was the end of the first half chances as The Vikings bossed possession with 57% but could not create enough chances.
An early second half freekick gave the Vikings fans hope but the set piece move finished harmlessly wide. 61 minutes and Strachan toe poked wide as the Vikings still struggled against a resolute Pahang side. Pahang had a rare chance on 81 but the Vikings keeper watched it sail over the bar. 0-0 full time
The Vikings manager had some harsh words for his forwards, 3 of them played and despite good form not one played to their skill level!!!!! the manager will be looking for a reaction from the forwards as it is now clear. 2 wins and promotion, anything less and who knows!!!!!
The manager is however aware that Kensington will be tough as they are fighting relegation and Los Samgeles Kings have a new manager and nothing to lose.
The Vikings manager is also now hoping that Kirkbride will play strong against Liverpool as he is happy to concede the title to strengthen promotion hopes!!!!

ThunderCats Blow Title Race Open
A contender for game of the season took place at Thundera Grounds as ThunderCats F.C overcame Hun Haters 5-4. Before the game, Celticchris had said, "By the end of tonight ThunderCats could either be out of the race or it could be blown back open again." These words turned out to be prophetic as an incredible game unfolded. An own goal from Craig Elliston gave the hosts the perfect start before Don MacArthur fired the leaders right back into it a couple of minutes later. Alexandr Prohazska got his first of the afternoon after 16 minutes as Hun looked to end their hosts title chances. An equaliser wasn't long in coming as Silvio Falcao cracked home as the game continued to seesaw. Hun Haters grabbed an edge just before the break as, midfield inspiration, Finlay MacCleir headed in to give them a 3-2 lead. The action continued apace after the break and it wasn't long before it was 3-3. Paulino Ornelas heading in a corner to put the game back in the melting pot. Hun continued to attack with intent and following a quick breakaway Prohazska restored their one goal advantage. With time running out ThunderCats hopes looked bleak but nobody informed Falcao. For the second time in the game he found Boruc wanting from distance to level matters. Then, picking the perfect time to go in front for the first time, Ornelas found enough space to fire in and send the home fans wild and dreaming of a title victory.
In a game of less excitement, Totaalvoetbal missed the opportunity to go top as they were held 0-0 at AS Roma. After having a Johan Juffing goal disallowed for offside, Totaal suffered further disappointment when Abbas Erol headed off the bar. The point continues Roma's knack for denting the promotion hopeful's title chances after they beat ThunderCats and drew with Hun Haters. Following a second successive 0-0 draw with Totaalvoetbal, Cathalio11 had this to say post-match, "I have a huge feeling that Totaalvoetbal v AS Roma is going to be a tense fixture in the seasons to come." Meeblind tried to put a positive slant on the point, "It's a point that has taken us level with HH. Therefore, it has to be looked upon as a point gained."
Picking up a win that ensured their safety were Crystal Palace after a 4-2 success over Yorkshires Amateurs. Palace got off to a great start when Justin Morgan, unfortunately, put through his own goal. Amateurs hit back through a superb Hans Riegler free-kick as the game remained open and entertaining. Lou Stamp restored Palace's lead before half-time as he finished good work from Paul Ifill. Murray Davis scored his fifth of the season to level matters late in the game but Palace were to hit back. Paul Ifill shooting home before Victor Moses added some gloss to the final scoreline. Amateurs manager, Danlufc13, gave his thoughts post-match, "The boys have done me proud this season. Having avoided relegation on the last day of last season we have made huge strides....I expect us to be challenging for the title next season."
The relegation places are decided after Doncaster Rovers lost 1-0 at home to EASTHAM FC, condemning them to second tier football next season. Ray Hearts was the man who relegated the home side with a brilliant strike after 20 minutes. Despite an even game with plenty of chances there was to be no more goals. Doncaster's recent efforts were rewarded with the full backing of their home crowd as they trooped off at the end of the game. EASTHAM will be looking to make further strides next season as they continue life in the top flight of the RM Invitational.
The other two relegated sides were involved in a seven goal thriller at Kepong. Glasgow Rangers eventually coming out 5-2 victors over 23rd Professionals. Geomar Zanchi headed in to put the home side in front before a penalty from Evald Thastrom and a header from Nathaniel Marshland turned the game on its head. Rangers put in a dominating second-half display, however, to finally win out. Franco Zoppetti netting a brilliant hat-trick, with Cesar Monparlet heading in another to ensure they gave the home side's support some joy after a hard season. Both sides will be looking to regroup next season in the familiar surroundings of Division One.

Stanley, Greatness to Dine at Top Table
AFC Stanley continued their brilliant season by winning promotion to the RM Invitational following a 1-0 win at Tropical Thunder. Fighting relegation, Thunder had everything to play for but couldn't match Stanley's quality. Despite creating seven chances Stanley only managed one goal although it ultimately proved decisive. Garry Molseley scoring his eleventh goal for the club with a lovely long range effort. Stanley did suffer an injury to Hans Hessbo but nothing could dampen Markham's mood, "We will have a few drinks tonight." exclaimed the coach before adding with a serious tone, "it's then back down to business....our fans deserve a piece of silverware for the support they have given us." Tropical Thunder remain in with a shout of avoiding relegation, to do so they must beat FC Joga Bonito and Juventus in their remaining fixtures.
F.C. Greatness joined Stanley in winning promotion with a 1-0 victory of their own at Newry City. Once again Enok Vahlstrom proved the vital factor as he finished well in the penalty area after 24 minutes for the crucial goal. Newry, entertaining promotion hopes of their own, couldn't dent an impressive Greatness backline and will need a slip-up elsewhere to realise their dream of promotion straight back to the RM Invitational. The sting in the tail for Greatness was the news that Vahlstrom will miss the remainder of the season due to a nasty looking injury. The hitman has made a stunning impact at Greatness, though, and is likely never to be forgotten. "Vahlstrom did it again, but sadly I have to announce his injury will stop him taking any part in the rest of the season....14 goals in 14 games is simply amazing." beemed Calvert.
Occupying the third promotion spot are Santos FC, who themselves ground out a 1-0 win over FC Joga Bonito. Joga more than matched their hosts and with a touch more fortune could have got at least a point out of the encounter. As it turned out a breakaway goal from Richardo Ferrari after 18 minutes was the game's only goal meaning Santos need just a point to win their second successive promotion. Manager of FCJB, Jimmy190, was disappointed post-match, "More chances again, and a loss again." However once the season is dusted and he looks back on his impact at the club he will be proud of his efforts and look forward to the new season with renewed optimism.
Goals Aloud continued their improvement under Ocs18 with a deserved 3-1 win over Three Lions FC. Two goals in a brilliant opening half saw Goals Aloud take control of the encounter. Trevor Fazackerley shot home after 14 minutes before finishing off fine work from Dan Ruffer just before the break. Three Lions, to their credit, came back strongly in the second-half and when Cristiano Izuldo netted a comeback looked likely. It wasn't to be, however, as Constantino de Melo scored from distance to complete the win.
Juventus boosted their survival hopes and ensured Leeds United would remain winless after a 3-1 win at Delle Alpi. Mairthin Foley scored early to ease any anxieties the home side may have been feeling. The game was settled in a three minute period during the second-half when Orlan Canito shot home and Adalberto Di Cintio finished off a free-kick to put the hosts 3-0 up. Leeds managed a consolation with their only chance in the 93rd minute through Sixten Berglund but a lot of hard work awaits them if they are to turn into a competitive football club.

Kirkbride Resist Kings
Los Samgeles Kings, under new manager Stripy8, gave Kirkbride a thorough test before succumbing to a 1-0 defeat. Los Samgeles put the title chasers under pressure right from the start, forcing the better of the chances. As with any aspiring champions, however, Kirkbride soaked it up and made the most of their fortune. A miss-hit shot by Jack Ness finding its way past Mehta to give the leaders the advantage on the stroke of half-time. Los Samgeles remained competitive after the break and continued to more than match their more illustrious visitors. Try as they might, though, they couldn't find the equaliser and despite goalscoring hero Jack Ness being sent-off Kirkbride held on. Kings new boss, Stripy8, was in upbeat mood post-match, "...morale is high because they now know how well they can play as a team." In the opposite camp, Jazza1958 was remaining focussed on their goal, "Our next match is against Liverpool....and will be a very difficult opponent. Strollers won't go into the match thinking that a point is enough and will look to keep up our impressive form with a win."
Liverpool suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of an in-form Manchester United side. The damage was done in a first-half display that blew Liverpool away. Talal Shamil and Nenad Ljaljic scoring headers as United opened Liverpool up with seven chances against the visitors' none. Buttons' Liverpool are made of stern stuff these days and they put in an improved second-half display but couldn't force their way back into the game. Another header, this time from Sture Kiltorp, made sure that United would remain in second and on course for promotion. The reports coming out of Liverpool were that "Buttons got all his tactics wrong and will have cost Liverpool a chance of promotion." Despite this they still remain just a point outside of the promotion places and with two games to go there is everything to play for.
In third spot are The Vikings after a tough battle with Pahang United ended 0-0. Eaglesrjh reported his nerves to the team's supporters before the game, "I've studied the opponents likely tactics about 10 times, swapped my tactics many times and am still not happy." As it turned out it was an even game against a Pahang side who can give anyone a game on their day. Eagles was in positive mood after the draw, "Well I guess at least promotion is in my own hands with two games to go. Two wins and we're up!!"
At the other end of the table Kensington Boys Club gave themselves a chance of escaping the drop with a 1-0 win at Real Madrid FC. In a game that saw good chances for both sides it was left to Dorian Rooney to score the decisive strike. He was later to go off injured but had already done the damage and they now sit just three points behind AJ Rovers with a match against them in the very last game of the season.
AJ remain in trouble after drawing 1-1 at home to Kroklund Kings. With chances at a premium in the game the finshing actually proved to be of a high standard. Trundell Conway heading home to give the visitors the lead after only nine minutes. AJ secured a vital point when Sonny Vickerman hit a delightful free-kick past Isachsen. The draw sees Kroklund all but relegated but they will be confident of an improved second season while AJ will be hoping to secure their safety before that match-up with Kensington.
