Sting In The Tail For Area

Grey Area used the array of bets against them in the xpert pools as added motivation to put on a performance away to Glory Hornets and found themselves unfortunate not to come away with all three points from the Yellow Brick Road.

"This is the best performance since I arrived at the club." said Area gaffer Carfin, The new boys seem to be settling in quite well and it was unfortunate to see young Smit take a sore one as he had hit the ground running.

The enforced signing of a replacement keeper was far from ideal and all Snape had to do all afternoon was pick the ball out of the net as Hornets scored with their only chance on target. Let's just say I'm far from happy with the goalkeeping position just now.

Our goal was well worked and big Geoff got up well to nod home. I'm pleased for the big guy as he has been leading the way in training since I got here.

And can I say that I'm pleased to get the manager of the round award despite not getting all three points. We knew how the Hornets were going to setup and were ready for them. Now we need to kick on and go and get three points at Northwich Victoria. We are more than capable."
