AFC Stanley defeated Totaalvoetbal 1-0 to keep the title race alive going into the final three games. Ike Dyer had a chance to put the visitors in front but shot tamely at Hessbo and this would signal the start of a frustrating afternoon for Totaal who would out-chance their hosts 3-1. It was to be Stanley, though, who would open the scoring. Matts Wallman took charge from a free-kick situation to thump an effort past Keizer and into the net. It would be enough to see the hosts go in ahead as Pierre van Diemen’s bicycle kick was saved by Hessbo at the other end. The second-half saw just one effort and when Ger Wattamaleo‘s header came back off the bar, the visitors' chance was gone. Stanley proceeded to give a defensive master-class to stifle much of Totaal’s play and collected, what might be, three priceless points in their quest for an RM Invitational title. They now sit five points off the leaders and are due to meet ThunderCats on Tuesday in a game which could decide the ultimate destination of the title. Meanwhile, Robin Meeblind claimed his side ‘played okay’ before praising ‘a big strong’ Stanley side and wished them luck for the season’s end.
ThunderCats F.C allowed Stanley to close the gap due to being held 1-1 at F.C. Greatness. It was Greatness who got off to the more confident start and they might have taken the lead after two minutes but for a disappointing finish from Mario Balotelli. Faust Baronchelli would make up for this on 15 minutes, though, as he drilled in a fantastic strike from distance to leave Magro sprawling across his goal, unable to make the ground up quickly enough. Magro then went off injured to continue the visitor’s disjointed start to the game. They did pick up soon afterwards, however, as Jake Sephton and Leonardo Borja both had efforts in quick succession. Cristian Dagostino went off for the hosts to disrupt their rhythm and ThunderCats took full advantage. Cidade and Sephton went close before the latter was, finally, able to bring them level by defeating Rachao from distance with a quality long range effort. The second-half didn’t live up to the standards of the first, though, and despite there being a chance each there would be no further goals. Meelas will still be comfortable with his side’s position and he knows if his side can avoid defeat against Stanley the title will be all but theirs. Darrencalvert was concerned with the injuries his side keep picking up and will be hoping they don’t have a detrimental effect on their upcoming change report.
Santos moved to within six points of ThunderCats with a comprehensive 6-0 win over a relegation-threatened Reggae Reggae Sauce. In fairness, the score could have been doubled as Reggae Reggae Sauce put in an inept display to give up thirteen chances and create none. Giving up 68% of possession as well, the visitors were always up against it and so it proved. Adriano Ribeiro headed home a twelfth minute opener for the hosts. Despite having to replace Asmar Golkas through injury, Santos remained focused and would take a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to a Rogerio Franca penalty. The second-half saw Franca go on and complete a hat-trick as he scored from distance on 54 minutes before heading in on 74 minutes. In between, Sonny Ozzinho headed a Ribeiro cross powerfully home as Santos ran riot. Creating chances at will it was no surprise when they added a sixth late in the day when Fredrick Winnerljung headed in again as Reggae Reggae Sauce’s defence gave up completely. With Santos now primed in third they will eagerly await the result of Stanley’s match with ThunderCats to see whether they also have a realistic shot at the title. As they also still have the leaders to play we could go into the final round with three sides all having a realistic chance of glory. Reggae Reggae Sauce look nailed on for relegation given this performance. With just a point separating them from Milan in tenth, they have an inferior goal difference although a match with bottom club Omer might give them a vital chance to get their season going again.
Yorkshires Amateurs surely secured their safety with an important 3-1 home win over Tranmere Rovers. In an open and entertaining first-half both sides created several chances as they looked for the points. Tranmere had gone close but fell behind on six minutes as Hugo Smallwood found his range from distance to beat Larkin. Vince Brightwell struck the woodwork from long range as the open nature of the game continued. Upson and Seibert caused a few uneasy moments in the home defence as Tranmere continued to trouble them but it was the Amateurs who went in ahead at the break. Despite an injury to Tiarnach Casey the Amateurs extended their advantage as Brightwell’s free-kick effort found the net after the super defender curled his shot past the wall. However, this two-goal lead would only last two minutes as Karsten Seibert got fair reward for Tranmere with a clinical strike following a corner. Tranmere had chances to get level with their hosts but the all-important fourth goal of the game went the way of the Amateurs on 84 minutes. A breakaway move which illustrated how the Amateurs can play when on form secured the win with Raymond Simmons finishing well from a Micky Cox pass. The win sees Amateurs move six points clear of the relegation zone and, with three teams between them and danger, they look good for survival after what has been a testing season for Danlufc13’s men. Tranmere still have work to do but have a three-point lead over Milan with a very winnable game against wayward Marseille coming next.
Hun Haters and AC Milan served up a treat of attacking football as the Haters edged it by the odd goal in seven. Both sides enjoyed plenty of chances in a game which saw defensive football thrown out of the window. Nigel Bruggink had put the hosts ahead with a shot in the penalty area only for Milan to bounce back on 16 minutes with a Brando Pisano shot after a corner. An own goal by Craig Elliston looked to have given Milan a first-half advantage but Iain Emery ensured parity at the half with a fine header from an Ashton Crosby centre. The second-half continued in the same vein with both sides enjoying, and also wasting, chances. Andrea Pirlo was the next player to be unfortunate enough to score an own goal to give Hun Haters a 3-2 advantage on 49 minutes. This proved a crucial moment in the game as, just three minutes later, Bruggink added his second of the game with a super header to put the hosts 4-2 up. Milan, to MarkieRich’s credit, kept going and forced openings in an attempt to get back into the game. They duly pulled a goal back on 68 minutes as Elroy Burns completed a fine breakaway move to shoot past Boruc and give the team fresh hope. A fourth goal would, however, be a bridge too far for a Milan side who fell into the relegation zone on the back of the result. You imagine, though, if Markie can keep them attacking in such a fashion they should have too much for relegation. Hun Haters’ win will have proved a big relief for Celticchris who saw his side move four points clear of their beaten opponents and he knows one win in their final three games should see them survive in the RM Invitational.
St Omer continued to impress as their season draws to an end with a 1-0 home success over Marseille. Omer were given the perfect platform when Roberto da Luz headed in a cross from Kamol Jitbut on just two minutes. Marseille did look like they had equalised this effort, though, when Stanko Marincic shot home in the penalty area on 34 minutes but it was disallowed for, what turned out to be, a clear offside. The second-half proved to be quiet until a lob from Rafaele Di Muri rattled the crossbar on 85 minutes for Marseille. As the ball bounced away so did Marseille’s chances and Omer could have extended their lead with a more accurate header from Edgar Passinha two minutes later. The sides look destined to meet next season in Division One as Marseille are set to join Omer as relegated over the next game or two. With Cathal promising a return to full-time duty soon it is hoped he can salvage the team while ConyTottee’s troops look set for a much-improved season next time out.

Strolling to Promised Land
West Brom Strollers won promotion to the RM Invitational with a 1-0 away success at S.S. Manfredonia. West Brom had to withstand several second-half chances to secure the three points which will, ultimately, see them return to the top flight next season following just one season in Division One. The opening half saw Willie Johnston go close before putting the visitors in front. A Derek Statham pass found him in space and the midfielder beat Ikhala with the minimum of fuss. Manfredonia had an immediate response but Tryggvi Valsson’s effort was stopped well by Tony Godden. Pasquel Arellano had an eventful second-half as he led Manfredonia’s charge to bring themselves level in the game. Twice he came within inches of netting a crucial equaliser as West Brom found themselves defending against a determined home team. Unfortunately, Arellano was then to be forced off with an injury but, despite this, Manfredonia remained the dominant side. Tomas Tiribochhi missed the target on 90 minutes but was to have one final chance from a free-kick to give the hosts what would have been a deserved point. As it turned out his effort struck the woodwork and Manfredonia had fallen to a somewhat harsh 1-0 defeat. Dinkydave beamed, ‘I’m chuffed with the outcome’ before adding that his team would ‘remain professional’ in the three games left as other issues get decided. Manfredonia find themselves two points adrift of safety but will be buoyed by the impressive performance of his team and will hope they can repeat them, albeit with some goals added on, in the three remaining games.
New York City produced a solid home performance to defeat Kirkbride Strollers 2-0 to strengthen their grip on second-place. They nearly got off to the perfect start but Lukas Buhr was foiled by an excellent Ally McLoud save in the very first minute. Eugene Kameni Idriss was the next to test McLoud as New York continued their strong start to the game but, once more, the 'keeper was equal to the test. Despite this start, the Strollers did give them a mighty scare when Cristian Trifan hit the bar with a powerful header. Two injuries then marred the remainder of the half as Rufus Bignell was replaced for City and McLoud had his excellent game cut short. The second-half saw the power of City take its toll. They had gone close through Henk van Huijksloot before taking the lead courtesy of a Peng Man header from a Zenon Zagajewski cross on 61 minutes. A free-kick on 75 minutes saw the lead doubled as Idriss found his range to crack an effort past Potter. This proved more than enough to see off Jazza’s Strollers and put New York five points clear of fourth-placed Manchester United. Jimmy was happy with his side’s win and admitted he thought it would be a ‘closer match’ before turning his attentions to Dinkydave who he claimed was ‘very lucky.’ The Strollers remain comfortable in mid-table and will be looking towards next season as their time to stake a claim for a place amongst the elite.
Three Lions FC moved into third with a 1-0 away win at The Vikings. With both sides still harbouring hopes of promotion it was the home side who started the better. Forcing two early free-kicks, Aris Almanidis brought two saves out of Izu Casillas as The Vikings looked for an early goal. Three Lions would also serve early warning of what they are all about as a breakaway move led to Fernando Mello rounding the ‘keeper and slotting home but he was rightly brought back by an offside flag. Justin Portway then went within inches for the hosts as The Vikings reasserted themselves. However, it would be the visitors who would take the lead. A lobbed effort from Izu Kaka on 34 minutes saw Lees beaten in goal and the Lions with a 1-0 advantage. Lewis Branston headed straight at the goalkeeper to keep the frustration mounting for the home side and this didn’t improve in the second 45 minutes. Justing Portway thought he’d equalised for them on 73 minutes but his beautiful strike was called back for an offside which was, at best, doubtful. This would be their final chance and it would be the Lions who would take a step nearer promotion. Izu was quick to praise Eaglesrjh who he called ‘an excellent manager’ and then added his team are ‘in a good position to win promotion’ with three games remaining. Eagles congratulated Izu on a ‘good victory’ before saying his season was now all about ‘a good change report.’
PSV Eindhoven continued their upward momentum with a 2-1 win against bottom club Goals Aloud. Aloud shocked the visitors with an early goal as Furgill Bhagirath headed home a Dustin Digby corner on two minutes. However, the lead wasn’t to last long with Kenny Dalglish finishing in identical fashion for the visitors on nine minutes. Dalglish then went on to put PSV in front. Rory MacFinlay found him in space some twenty-five yards from goal and the midfielder unleashed a superb effort which left Butcher with no chance in goal. PSV had chances to extend their lead with Frans Haggbring and Albert Riera both going close in an excellent spell of pressure. In fairness, Aloud themselves had chances but were to find Pepe Reina well-placed and in good form to repel them. The second-half saw PSV edge it but, despite chances for Reiera and Nanmeng, they couldn’t extend their lead. It wasn’t to matter, though, as their 2-1 lead was enough to take the three points which takes them up into eighth-place, two points above the last relegation place. It continues a remarkable turnaround for Kadri who came into the job with the side at the bottom of the table and looking like they were heading down and quickly. If they manage a win against Pahang in their next match they will be as good as safe. Goals Aloud, meanwhile, look destined for the drop and with Popepius struggling to make an impact the club will be hoping for better things next season.
Also showing tremendous fighting spirit at the bottom end of the table are Newry City who put in a superb display to defeat promotion hopefuls, Manchester United, 2-1. Despite giving up the majority of possession in the first-half it was Newry who looked the more dangerous in possession. Raimundo Solari went close as early as the fifth minute and a free-kick from Santino Petsiara brushed the post as Newry pushed for the opening goal. Manchester United briefly went forward with Eric Cantona forcing a save out of Wellens in goal. The pattern of the half quickly re-established itself, though, as Newry attacked once more and, this time, managed to take the lead. A cross from Antony Cowdrey was met by the head of Petsiara and he made no mistake in guiding it past Kuszczak. Newry shot themselves in the foot at the beginning of the second-half to put the visitors right back into the contest. Ljubisa Novak was overcome with panic in front of his own goal and placed the ball beyond Wellens to bring parity back to the game. United nearly capitalised on this when Darren Fletcher headed in but the referee, rightly, spotted a handball. This seemed to breathe new life into the hosts and there was no mistaking their goal with Petsiara notching his second with a fine strike in the area. This proved too much for United and saw them drop out of the top three. Pakya will be looking for an instant reaction when his side visit Juventus next; with only three games to go they cannot afford many more slip-ups. Newry have given themselves a good chance of survival and will travel to Kirkbride in good spirits on Tuesday.
Pahang United dropped into the relegation zone despite a hard-fought point in a 1-1 draw with Juventus. The first-half saw both sides create three chances each but only one of those was taken. Pahang went close through Benjamin Johannsen, Kilian Strongbow and Rudi Steffens but some wayward finishing and decent ‘keeping from Fuentes kept them scoreless. They would go behind to a 29th minute strike from Adalberto Di Cintio as he ghosted in unmarked from a corner to beat Hussain. Juventus had further chances to extend their lead, with Alberto Morante and Mairthin Foley going close but they had to settle for a 1-0 half-time advantage. The second-half was quieter in terms of chances but the one which did come Pahang’s way was buried. A Calus-Dieter Eilts cross was met perfectly by Steffens and his header proved too much for Fuentes. This proved to be Eilts’ last action of the game as he was forced off through injury and Pahang had a let-off when Foley struck the post from a free-kick. Ultimately, both sides took a point out of a contest when they might have wanted more. The result sees TrueBlue’s side slip a point behind Newry with a massive clash against PSV coming up on Tuesday. SuperJuve’s side are still flirting with danger after being sat in mid-table for most of the season. With a home match against Manchester United to come the task won’t get any easier for the Italian side.

Rothion to be King?
AJ Rovers produced an impressive away display to keep themselves a point ahead at the top of the Division Two table. In an ill-tempered match which saw six bookings, Rovers overcame Los Samgeles Kings with some impressive play. Creating the better chances in both halves, Rovers were able to keep their noses in front from the moment Eldur Gottskalk opened the scoring on 12 minutes. Bentley provided the ammunition for the raiding midfielder to time his run perfectly to head past Ersberg. They doubled their lead on 32 minutes as the finishing remained of the highest order. Deane advanced out of defence to provide a superb through ball from which Phil Marsh benefited by netting past the ‘keeper. LS were seeing a fair amount of the ball but weren’t able to create the chances as their opponents were doing. However, from their first chance of the match they did halve the deficit to give themselves hope of a comeback. A fast breakaway culminated when Will Deckard was slid in by Kopitar and made no mistake with a calm finish befitting a match of high quality. The pattern of chances in the second-half followed that of the opening 45 minutes and AJ extended their lead to two goals once more when Gottskalk scored from some 30-yards to leave the home fans stunned. LS, to their credit, kept working hard and fashioned their second chance of the game on 90 minutes. Again they showed real composure with Michal Handzus finding a way through Mortimer from outside the area to give Rovers a few late nerves. They managed to hold on, however, to enjoy a six-point lead over fourth-placed Madrid. Rothion will be keen to instil in his team that three wins and the title will be theirs. Stripy’s LS now sit uncomfortably just two points ahead of the relegation zone while still harbouring outside hopes of promotion in this incredible Division Two season.
Kensington are now their nearest challengers as they saw off Southampton 3-1 at St Marys. They were boosted by an early goal and always looked the better of the two teams in a fiery clash. The goal came on five minutes as Maurice Jacobs finished off some fine approach play from Rooney. The remainder of the half was marred by five yellows and a red with an injury along the way. Jeffrey Balbi was the unlucky player to be injured as both teams set about each other. Aaron Winder saw red for the home side to add to their misery as they went into the half-time break without creating a single opening. The Jacobs-Rooney combination came good once more for the away side after the break with the latter calmly finishing to double the lead. KBC were enjoying much the better of the game now and added a third when Adrian Gray let fly from distance to defeat Lima in goal. The second-half saw two yellows and a red to add to the first-half tally with Aubrey de Vere evening up the players for each side by getting himself needlessly sent-off for KBC. This allowed Benos Hardinho some space to head home a corner for a consolation goal for the hosts but they were soundly beaten by a side with an intense focus. Patrik will not want his side to get carried away with this result, though, as they now move onto a crucial clash with third-placed Tubbies as they look to put the seal on their promotion. Southampton and Hardinho will now be able to prepare for life as a Division Three side as they look for a positive change report which will have made this season worthwhile.
Belly Tubbies are in third following a point at Morley, which they scarcely deserved. Morley set about their visitors from the off as they looked for vital points in their relegation battle. They struck the woodwork twice in the opening eight minutes as Kafka and Love both had chances to give them the perfect start. Love then went on to miss a penalty which may prove crucial at the end of the season. Farrell also brushed a post as Morley, in all, created six openings in a completely one-sided first-half which, ultimately, ended all-square. Morley began the second-half on the front foot also but Kafka couldn’t seriously trouble Sahlberg in goal. Morley then forced a chance through Farrell again, only this time he made it pay. Sedgemore fashioned the opening for Farrell who beat Sahlberg to the obvious relief of the home crowd who began to believe that the great escape was on. However, these hopes were dashed with Tubbies very first effort on goal. Phil Fieldwick provided an illustration of the difference between the top and bottom with a lobbed finish of immense quality to stun the home team. Morley news reported that the team left the ground ‘wondering how they only managed to draw’ a game they dominated but also that their confidence is now ‘sky high’ following such an impressive performance. Being five points from safety with just three games to go, though, it remains to be seen whether they can escape. Fitzy admitted his side were fortunate before adding a word or two of sympathy for Morley who he said ‘luck’ had deserted this season.
Real Madrid FC find themselves three points off the pace following a 1-1 draw at Internazionale. Madrid did enjoy the perfect start as Kevin Gabriele hit a powerful shot from range into the net to stun the home support. In truth, the game had few chances but Inter gradually recovered from this nightmare beginning to force their way back into the game. Neal Stapleton had gone close from a free-kick before Mortimer Wainman equalised on 36 minutes following a corner delivered by Stapleton. Madrid had the better of the second-half but couldn’t make either of their chances count. Both Aren Garabedian and Samvel Aivazian found Benjamin Hawke too sharp for them in goal as both sides took a point out of the encounter. This leaves both looking at either end of the table as the season reaches its climax. Madrid are three points off Tubbies in third while only four points ahead of White Hawk who occupy the final relegation spot. Inter, meanwhile, are four points from the top three while being just three ahead of White Hawk. It’s hard to know whether the managers would take safety right now or whether promotion remains the ultimate goal in a season of such unpredictability.
Carthage FC picked up a crucial win to distance themselves from the fight at the bottom while rekindle thoughts of promotion as they overcame Charlottenburg FC 3-2 at Carthage City. Paul Scholes went off on 16 minutes for the visitors and the pain doubled for Potsdamerplatz’s side when Eric Fray headed the hosts in front two minutes later. Charlottenburg did manage to recover from this, though, and were to score from both of their chances during the first-half. Rob Lee headed in the equaliser from an expert Alan Thompson centre on 24 minutes to give the visiting following a boost and things were to get better on 39 minutes. Ferdinand showed real quality in striding out of defence before sliding in Lee to illustrate that he can score with head or feet as he left Aurelius with no chance in goal. Carthage managed to retain their confidence despite going in 2-1 down at the interval and produced a super second-half to turn the game round. They were to score two goals in the opening twelve minutes of the half to stun Charlottenburg. Their equaliser came on 50 minutes as Marcus Spillane shot home after a corner. If this wasn’t bad enough for the visitors they, failed to learn their lesson and, once more, left a player unmarked from a corner. Ad Herbal benefited from the space to shoot past Robinson on 57 minutes to put Carthage 3-2 up. Both sides had chances in an entertaining second-half but no more goals were scored despite Guido Eliseo being sent-off for the hosts. The win lifts Blakey’s side to seventh and level on points with their vanquished foes. If they can defeat Madrid next they may find themselves with the unlikely opportunity to win promotion when it has looked, for long periods, that survival was their main aim. Potsdamerplatz’s side has fallen four points off the promotion pace after leading not so long ago. Their next match against Morley now takes on extra significance with defeat unthinkable for the Charlottenburg gaffer.
White Hawk FC gave their survival hopes a major boost with a comprehensive 3-0 home win over Kroklund Kings. All the action took place in a determined opening 45 minutes for the hosts. Creating four chances to their opponent’s solitary effort, White Hawk were able to open up a match-winning advantage to renew their hopes of surviving in Division Two. Ryan Dharmsingh scored the first goal as he connected sweetly from long range to defeat Tolvanen in goal. On 20 minutes it was 2-0 following some football which you would normally associate with the top of the league rather than a struggling side. Dean Kouakou produced the final ball after some quick passing in a breakaway move of real pace. Matts Perman was the beneficiary as he raced onto the ball and deposited it in the back of the net. With Kroklund looking overmatched in most departments it came as no surprise to see White Hawk extend their lead to 3-0 on the stroke of half-time as Dharmsingh added his second goal by finishing a well-taken corner by Charly Chan Jet Soe. With the second-half a non-event it was left to the home supporters to celebrate a crucial three points which sees them move to within a point of Kroklund and safety with three matches still to play. Bossebong will be hoping his Kroklund side can take advantage of a home match with Southampton to distance themselves from the battle as they have slipped down the table ominously in recent matches.

The goal came on five minutes as Maurice Jacobs finished off some fine approach play from Rooney. The remainder of the half was marred by five yellows and a red with an injury along the way.
Five-Star RDCM
These Charming Men easily made it two successive defeats for Wandsworth FC as they demolished the league leaders 5-0. Knowing a win would keep their mathematical chances of the title alive, These Charming Men played as though their very season depended on it. In a dominating first-half performance the visitors created five chances and managed to net four of them to leave Wandsworth stunned. Jordi Rodri started the rout with a clever finish that capped a breakaway move in which Lientur Rial excelled. They were 2-0 ahead on 15 minutes as another move of quality was given a clinical finishing touch, this time by Juan-Jose Galiano. With the hosts unable to stem the flow of the These Charming Men’s chances or, indeed, create any sort of threat at the other end they were fighting a losing battle. Two goals in quick succession sealed the win for a rampant away team. Stuart Cooksey scored the third on 20 minutes as he shot home in the penalty area. It was then 4-0 just a minute later as Gregorio Jonay hit home from distance with the young Mizumura in goal wishing he was anywhere but in the firing line. The second-half didn’t provide the same excitement but Cooksey added his second of the game on 53 minutes to complete a 5-0 win. RDCM was in professional mood afterwards saying his side ‘did what (they) needed to’ and spoke of making it ‘5 out of 5’ and then relaxing for the last couple of matches. Wandsworth, meanwhile, are paying the price for playing an under-age side following their promotion. Whether it, ultimately, costs them the title remains to be seen.
Alsancak F.C opened up a four point lead on fourth by defeating Northwich Victoria 2-0 at Mosquito Alley. Enjoying a massive 70% of possession over the course of the match, Alsancak were never troubled by their massively disappointing visitors. Albert Scully gave them the perfect start by shooting home after a corner from Max Jekyll. Stephen Julius then had two free-kick chances as Alsancak turned up the pressure; one was saved well by Sigurdsen in goal while the other crashed back off the bar much to the midfielder’s pain. They did make it 2-0 on 42 minutes as Julius teed up Brad Kavanaugh for a stunning half-volley which flew past Sigurdsen. The second-half proved a frustrating one for the hosts as chances for Julius, Benedict Janney, Kenny Acton and Eliott Burbank all failed to bring a third goal despite the side’s utter dominance. It wasn’t to matter, though, as the three points were never in doubt against a side who have under-performed throughout the season. While they languish in eleventh, Alsancak know that two wins will have them playing Division Two football next season.
It was wortley who would lose ground in the promotion race as they were held 2-2 at The Champs in a game of many chances. The first-half was dominated by wortley from the moment Walter Willock struck the bar with their opening chance. Following a near-miss from Quincy Bowey, wortley did manage to take the lead as Curt Pryor headed in a Nigel Krippner cross on eleven minutes. The Champs stunned their visitors, though, by netting from their very first chance just three minutes later; Seth Alker providing a slide-rule finish to a slick breakaway. Despite the parity, the away side continued to be much the more progressive of the two sides. A Pryor effort hit the bar and was followed by close things for both Willock and Krippner as they strived for their second goal. They eventually managed to regain the lead after shaking off a nasty injury to Fabian Damjanovic. Jake Shiver provided some excellent wing play to allow Bowey to head home on 36 minutes to ensure they would go in with a deserved lead at the break. The Champs were better after the interval and both sides enjoyed chances during an even second-half. It was the home side who would make one of them count as Oliver Garcon headed in an Ellefson cross to bring them level for the second time in the match. Neither side could go on and force a winner much to the frustration of Thegreatlordbags who sees his side drop four points off promotion pace. With just three games remaining they will realistically need to win them all to force their way into the top three. The Champs' promotion hopes are now an unrealistic dream with Wylie909 wanting to ‘see more consistent performances’ next season.
Glasgow City saw any lingering promotion hopes disappear as they were beaten 2-0 at Grey Area. In a tight contest, Area won the day due to a cooler head in front of goal. It was City who got off to the better start as Isak Bergendorff forced Kerrigan into some decent handling in goal before Petrus Normqvist was unfortunate to see his volley strike the post. Area, eventually, found their attacking groove and were equally unfortunate to see Diego Maradona hit the bar with a lobbed header. They were then hit by an injury to Vedin Sinanovic but managed to shrug it off to take a lead on the stroke of half-time. Maradona showed some trickery before crossing for Allan Bound to head home powerfully. Maradona could have stretched the lead but couldn’t direct his header well enough while Bergendorff had a goal disallowed for handball at the other end. City were not enjoying the best of fortune and this continued when a looping header from Edward Stoneley hit the crossbar. Maradona put City out of their misery and finally got the goal his play merited in injury-time. Frederik Smit crossed well for Maradona to head over Longton and into the net to give Area a 2-0 triumph. Area manager, Carfin, was quick to praise Maradona, who he called ‘simply unplayable’ when on his game. Much more will be expected of both Carfin and Maradona next season as they have helped transform the ailing club since the former's takeover. Moonboy will have to prepare his side for another assault on promotion next season following a promising first season in the league.
Another side seeing their hopes of promotion disappear were Glory Hornets who succumbed to Dream Team 2-0 at the Stadium of Dreams. Dream Team were the better side throughout in an open encounter and might have taken an early lead but for a Rinaldo Lupatelli free-kick striking the crossbar. Both sides enjoyed chances with Robins joining Lupatelli in going close for the home side while Eaves, Bachmann and Draper all went close for a spirited Hornets team. The hosts managed to take a 39th minute lead as the Hornets couldn’t deal with a corner, allowing Rufus Guy time to sweep in a Tumer delivery. It could have been worse for the Hornets but Cambiel and Lupatelli missed narrowly as the half came to its conclusion. The second-half was a quieter affair but Dream Team did manage to double their lead early on as Dudley Barrowcliff drove home a daisy-cutter from distance to leave Rosbotham floundering. This seemed to knock the Hornets out of their momentum for a long period and although they enjoyed a late chance through Eaves they never seriously threatened to get back into the game. Mucca will now prepare his side for another crack at promotion next season following a very competitive first. MrJames called it ‘another strong victory’ for his team before clinging to the hope ‘their average’ form ‘changes a lot’ in preparation for the report.
Wiltshire Warriors continued their upturn in fortunes under Big K with an emphatic win over bottom club Here For The Beer FC. Dominating chances and possession the Warriors turned on the style for their support with the season reaching its climax. Bob Black shot home in the penalty area on six minutes to put them 1-0 up and just three minutes later it was 2-0. Steven Milford provided some fine approach play to feed Craig Elliott who also produced a sublime finish. Milford then turned scorer after some shoddy marking from a corner allowed him time and space to beat Mendoza from close range. Their blistering start to the game was complete when Dante de Matteo scored his first goal for the club on 20 minutes to leave the visitors demoralised. Wiltshire enjoyed more chances during the remainder of the contest but only added one more goal, through Elliott again as he finished a corner in style. The win will leave both Big K and the supporters eager for next season as they look forward to a brighter time for the club. Here For The Beer will hope for the same for their team as they look to end a horror campaign with a point or two before its finish.

Three to go
The last three games of the season cant go quick enough for the players, fans and I.
It's been such a bad season for the team on the south coast that the form isn't really getting high enough to give us the big change report we need.
Only time will tell but if the season update isn't kind we may need to re-think our approach.

Once again we found ourselves on the wrong end of a 5-goal thriller against Carthage FC and a point now against Morley Town FC on Tuesday is now essential if we are to avoid the prospect of dropping into the relegation zone later this week.
"We've tried attacking football away from home and it doesn't work, so we will be going to Morley Town looking for a point which should keep us in midtable" said Potsdamerplatz.

Area Sweep Aside Glasgow City
Goals from Alan Bound and Diego Maradona proved enough to secure a two goal victory for Carfin's boys.
Carfin said "I was particularly pleased with the movement of our front pairing today. When on form Diego is simply unplayable."
Maradona in addition to his goal, setup up Bound for his strike.
Area now look forward to having an impact on the promotion race after all with a trip away to Wortley AFC and then These Charming Men in successive games.

Lions raid Viking Land
Three Lions FC are once again in the promotion zone after a close 1-0 win over The Vikings at Viking Land. The hosts had the first chance of the game as their visitors gave away a freekick in the 2nd minute. However, Izu Casillas hardly had to move as Aris Almanidis fired his shot right at the keeper. Almanidis did slightly better in the 4th minute but Casillas managed to get the ball away yet again and launch a quick counter attack for his side.
The hosts managed to stall The Whites, though, and it wasn't until the 9th minute that Fernando Mello managed to slip through the Vikings defence, get round Vincent Lees and fire into the back of the net. However, Robert Nixon got it right as he ruled Mello offside. Justin Portway then had the next chance of the game as he chipped the ball over Casillas in the 14th minute. Casillas just got his fingertips to the ball, and a good thing he did too, as the ball bounced off the crossbar and dropped into the keeper's grateful arms.
Almanidis then earned the first booking of the game as, frustrated by his inability to get past Casillas from his two freekicks, he smashed an elbow into the face of Carles Izuyol while trying to get a good spot to defend against a Lions corner. Izuyol had to have minor treatment to stem his nosebleed, but Izuka decided to leave the senior defender on the field. The visitors then had a good chance to take the lead in the 18th minute as they earned a freekick in a very promising position. Robin van Izu struck it well and it was destined for the top corner before Lees, flailing wildly through the air, got a hand to it and pushed it out. His more experienced teammates took care of the rest. Receiving word that West Brom Strollers had pulled ahead at Stadio Miramare, Izuka knew one of the promotion spots was more or less taken and told his team to turn up the pressure.
The Vikings soon had problems, though, as Clint Bonavia had to go off with a light injury. Ted Tolley came on to replace the star forward but the damage was done as The Vikings were now more or less helpless up front. Izuael Clichy was shown a rather harsh yellow card for the incident, as his bit of elbowing was totally accidental, Bonavia crashing into him while going for a Damon Strachan cross.
Then came the goal as José Bosingwa bombed down the right wing from defence and cut right into the penalty area. Lees came out to meet him but Bosingwa passed the ball back to Izu Kaka, who had only to lob into an empty net from 25 yards to score his third goal of the season. Minutes later, Izuka relayed news to his team that Newry City had just pulled ahead of Manchester United. Three Lions FC were now determined to win the game, and fell back into an 9-1-0 formation, Zlatan Izuhimovic now the only one going forward with light support on the wings as even Mello and van Izu found places in the centre and left of defence. Lewis Branston had the last chance of the first half, and the whole game as Almanidis chose to cross the ball instead of shooting for goal. However, it was all in vain as Branston headed lightly into Casillas' arms.
Cristiano Izuldo picked up the third and final booking of the night with a hard tackle to prevent a possible goal as Portway tried a shot from long range. Izuka then received news that Manchester United had earned an equaliser through an own goal only to concede a second, and that New York City had scored against Kirkbride Strollers. Knowing that his side could move into third with a win, Izuka ordered Izuhimovic to do the best he could as he moved the Swedish forward into defence. Mello soon picked up an injury, though, and Izuka brought on the flexible Luca Tonizu rather than Ricardo Izalho to cover up the hole at the right of defence.
Ted Tolley then proved himself good for something as he set up Portway for an excellent goal, but Nixon got it right again as he ruled Portway offside, though some may still have doubts. The Vikings manager Eaglesrjh brought Leo Idle for Murray Irwin in injury time, but he might as well have not bothered as the game finished three minutes later.
"Eaglesrjh is an excellent manager and he caught me offguard with a few of his choices today. However, the players were able to perform well under pressure and we're in a good position to win promotion now since we've played all our big games while Manchester United still have their last match of the season against Kirkbride Strollers, whom I think are one of the most underrated teams in the league," said Izuka to reporters after the game. "Meanwhile, we have matches against two teams in the relegation zone and a team just above it coming up, though even those games are in no way guaranteed wins."

Back in the Big Time
West Brom Strollers are celebrating tonight after confirming their place in next seasons RM Invitational.
They stumbled over the finish line with clumsy 1-0 win over S.S.Manfredonia.Far from the free flowing football we've become accustomed to of late, Strollers produced a tense, nervous performance and at times were second best.
The only goal came in the 19th minute, Willie Johnston racing free of the defence before beating the keeper. Strollers then held out despite strong pressure from Manfredonia in the second half.
The travelling West Brom fans flooded on to the pitch at the final whistle to celebrate with their heros.
Manager Dinkydave commented after the match "Obviously i'm chuffed with the outcome, we've achieved what we set out to do at the start of the season. I don't want to take the shine off what we've achieved but i'm a little dissapointed with the performance tonight, but credit to our opponents, they've given us 2 very difficult matches this season and i wish them luck in their relegation battle"
In spite of Strollers performance 6 players made it into the X11 Williams, Statham, Brown, Godden, Taylor (c) and Moore made an unprecedented 19th appearance. Could he really go 22 games in the X11???
Strollers have the ideal opportunity to turn promotion into Champions as they face bottom club Goals Aloud at the Hawthorns in the next round. Where a win will se them crowned champions of Division 1.
Dinkydave signalled his intent for the remainder of the season "We've got 3 games left, against teams who are fighting relegation, we have to be fair to the other teams and remain professional. The tempataion is to rest players and not play those on 2 yellow cards but we've still got a division title to win so we wont be letting up"

The tempataion is to rest players and not play those on 2 yellow cards but we've still got a division title to win so we wont be letting up"
Totaal Hit Wall
Totaalvoetbal fell victim to a sucker-punch as they out-chanced AFC Stanley 3-1 but were still on the wrong end of a 1-0 score-line.
The visitors started in troubled fashion with bookings for Raymond Putnam and Ger Wattamaleo within the first six minutes. Despite this, they still managed to create the first opening as Ike Dyer shot tamely at Hessbo in goal.
In a quiet, and often tame, first-half the sides struggled for superiority and chances. This being the case it came as a surprise when Matts Wallman fired Stanley into the lead. Following further indiscretion from the visitors, Stanley were awarded a free-kick from which Wallman cracked a super effort past Keizer to give the hosts the crucial breakthrough.
Totaalvoetbal did attempt to strike back on the stroke of half-time but Pierre van Diemen’s bicycle kick forced the best out of Hessbo who produced a stunning save.
The second-half began as the first ended, with Totaal having an effort on goal. A well-weighted cross from Horacio Metelo was met with a looping header from Wattamaleo and the young midfielder had every right to curse his luck as the ball crashed off the bar and to safety.
The rest of the half saw Stanley nullify any threat from the visitors to protect their lead and get the three points which catapults them back into the title race.
Meeblind was philosophical after the defeat:
“I’d say we played okay today. We didn’t finish particularly well but Watta was unfortunate.
“Stanley are a big strong unit, though, led by a quality manager. Fair play to them and Wallman for taking his chance. I wish them the best of luck in their quest for the title.”

Tubbies Fluke Draw
Morley Town left Scatcherd Park wondering how they only managed to draw a game they dominated against a distinctly average Tubbies side. Town even missed a penalty early on but took the lead on 57 minutes as Roger Farrell broke through the Tubbies defence and beat the keeper to the ball and score his second of the season.
In a dominant first half Morley hit the post twice the crossbar once and forced the Tubbies keeper into action numerous times, even the penalty miss didn't dent the confidence flowing through the Morley side.
Tubbies struck the sucker punch on 75 minutes as Phil Fieldwick's hopeful cross looped over Zubeldia and into the back of the net, the only "shot" Tubbies had all game.
Morley go into Tuesdays must win game against Charlottenburg with confidence sky high and a resolve to help their team avoid relegation.

Relentless TCM steamroller Wandsworth
TCM made short work of making sure Wandsworth did not become Champions of Division 3 for at least another 4 days. Wandsworth went into the home game needing only a point to seal the championship, but after 21 minutes were 4-0 down after some lethal finishing by an on form TCM side.
TCM signalled their intent with the first goal after 8 minutes, a quick counter saw a a neat pass from Lientur Rial put Jordi Rodri through with only the keeper to beat, a neat sidestep helped him round Alex Mizumura leaving a simple tap in to make it 1-0.
Wandsworth were all at sea, and nothing they could do could penetrate a solid TCM side, a second nearly came courtesy of recalled record signing Loran Rajabi 2 minutes later, but his neat strike smashed against the left post. The second did come on 15 minutes from one of TCM’s three man strike team; Juan-José Galiano, another counter with a pass from midfield dynamo Jordi Rodri put the striker through who placed a wonderful shot passed Mizumura.
The three man strike force of TCM Juan-José Galiano, Loran Rajabi and young Stuart Cooksey were terrorising the Wandsworth defence, the young striker made it 3-0 with a strong shot in the penalty area, the increasingly disheartened Mizumura barking orders at his defence to no avail.
A minute later it was 4-0 Gregorio Jonay making the most of his rare appearance in the side with a 30 yard stunner.
The rest of the half was fairly uneventful; TCM knowing the job was done, Wandsworth having nothing up their sleeve to get back into the game.
Second half; RDCM had obviously told his side to push forward when possible but not to take any unnecessary chances, Young Cooksey got his second 8 minutes after the break with another neat pass from Jonay who was obviously pushing for an extended run in the TCM midfield. Cooksey nearly got his hat trick a couple of minutes later, but smashed a great shot against the woodwork. Job done TCM made the most of a nice afternoon in the sun, Wandsworth with nothing left in their Armoury.
“We did what we needed to” was RDCM’s opening statement, “The lads have been on top of their game since the Alsanak game when we failed miserably. Since then 4 clean sheets and 18 goals, Just 3 more points and we are up so I can have a smile on my face tonight.” “Lets make it 5 out of 5, then we can relax for the last 2 games”
Next up are the Champs whose chances of promotion virtually slipped away with a draw today against wortley.

Vital win for Amateurs
Yorkshire Amateurs came away with a massive victory in their relegation six pointer against Marseille. The Amateurs had the best possible start when Vince Brightwell scored a stunning free kick on eight minutes. Kit Bigelow gave the Amateurs more breathing space when he met a cross from Vince Brightwell to make it 2-0.Marseille staged a late rally but the Amateurs held on for all three points. The Amateurs are now unbeaten in five and a win in their next match against Tranmere Rovers might just be enough to secure another season in the top flight.
up and down season
The champs were playing glasgow city this week and a win would have kept them in the title hunt but again a sloppy game saw them lose 2-1 which have now left the champs and glasgow city on the same points. the manager has urged to see more consistent performances
Omer Go Down Battling
St Omer put in a determined performance as their relegation to Division One was, eventually, confirmed following a 1-1 draw with Santos FC. The first-half saw the majority of the chances but neither side, particularly, had their shooting boots on. Santos were dominating possession but couldn’t take their chances as Alshammar, Franca and Golkas all fluffed their lines. Omer had chances of their own with Beckett and Bruce being their culprits. Carlton Bruce, though, was given the opportunity to make amends following the award of a penalty by Will Takyabribe. Bruce stepped up confidently and made no mistake to give Omer the lead. The lead was to prove short-lived as Santos didn’t dwell on being behind. A free-kick, awarded four minutes later, led to Alshammar smashing it directly into the net to ensure parity going into the break. It could still have been better for the hosts as Richardo Ferrari beat the goalkeeper to his left but watched on in dismay as his shot came back off the post. The second-half saw the chances cut down, however, Santos had reason to feel aggrieved. Alshammar, once more, beat Frost in goal only for his effort to be wrongly disallowed due to an offside which never was. Omer held firm for a well-earned point and ConyTottee’s side will leave the division having made a lot of friends for the way they play the game. Sean7, meanwhile, has seen his side slip eight points off the title pace and they will need to be perfect from here on in to stand any chance of the title and even then it probably won’t be enough.
ThunderCats F.C dealt with a determined AC Milan side as they continued their march towards the RM Invitational title. The finishing of the sides in the opening 45 minutes was excellent as they combined to put away three out of the four chances created. Silvio Falcao put the hosts in front on 15 minutes as his long range shot proved too good for Speroni in the visiting goal. The Milan response was impressive to say the least as a minute later Elroy Burns produced his own cracker from distance which defeated Amarante. ThunderCats have shown all season, though, that they are a team who can deal with most situations and losing the lead didn’t faze them in the slightest. Indeed, on 19 minutes they had re-established themselves in the box seat. Leonardo Borja combined well with Izet Hadzic for the latter to put them 2-1 on top after a breathless opening twenty minutes. The second-half only had one opening as ThunderCats seemed happy to soak up Milan possession and attempt to hit them on the break. They did suffer a blow, despite coasting through the half, as Falcao received his marching orders from referee, Travis Tee and will now miss their next match. However, with Meelas’ side now sitting seven points clear of their nearest rival they shouldn’t be too fazed by Falcao’s absence. Indeed, the title will be just rewards for a side who have been there or thereabouts in every season since the RM Invitational began. Milan, meanwhile, have it all to do at the other end as they have fallen into the relegation zone following the defeat. MarkieRich will keep his side calm, though, as they realise one win could see them move up several places such is the tightness from sixth-place down.
AFC Stanley are ThunderCats' nearest challenger following a 3-0 win at Reggae Reggae Sauce. Stanley were at it right from the start as they put Sauce to the sword in a dominant display. A fourth minute free-kick from Matts Wallman set the tone for the afternoon as Stanley attacked Sauce. The visitors opened up the home defence four times in the opening 45 minutes and duly added a second goal on 18 minutes. Olli Kaskinen produced some excellent wing play before centring for Alan Martindale to head home and leave Sauce with a mountain to climb. It wasn’t all plain sailing for the away side, though, as they had to make do without Mitchell Arkwright who went off injured on 22 minutes. This injury wasn’t to alter the course of the game which continued to see Stanley the much more progressive unit. They capped the win on 74 minutes as Martindale added his second goal of the match, this time connecting well from distance to deceive Reggae-Sauce in goal. Despite the win, Markham33 conceded the title to ThunderCats before stating that his main concern now ‘is to get as many players up to 100% match experience’ as possible. Reggae Reggae Sauce have dropped to eighth following their latest defeat and their poor run will be causing concern to Xpertelevener with just a point keeping them from the bottom three.
Yorkshires Amateurs helped themselves to a crucial win as they took advantage of Marseille’s lack of cohesion with a 2-1 away success. Amateurs were the major player in the game as Marseille couldn’t come to terms with their attacking 3-4-3 style. The Yorkshire side had as good as wrapped the game up in the first twenty minutes as they struck twice without reply to leave the hosts staring down the barrel once more. Their first goal came from classy defender, Vince Brightwell, who struck a perfect free-kick past Rossell in goal. Their second followed twelve minutes later and, again, Brightwell had a major say in it. Finding himself in unfamiliar territory on the wing he wasn’t fazed and delivered a fine cross from which Kit Bigelow beat the defenders to the ball to find the net from close range. Amateurs had further chances in the half but couldn’t add to their tally. The second-half saw the Amateurs appear content to knock the ball around without really going in search of more goals. As it was it would be the home side who would score the only goal of the half. It came from a free-kick involving Sid Peyton and Jonathan Boulding and ended with the latter finding the net. It never threatened to bring them back into the game and while they look doomed the three points send the Yorkshire side into sixth. Manager, Danlufc13 spoke of being ‘very happy with the result’ and hoped his side would be ‘more consistent’ as they look for safety.
Tranmere Rovers were also big winners down at the bottom end as they defeated Hun Haters 3-1 at Prenton Park. It was nothing more than they deserved as they put in a display of attacking intent which left Hun Haters wanting. Tranmere opened the scoring on six minutes as Akinlabi Iwelumo headed home an Aaron Armfied corner. Despite creating the majority of chances, though, Tranmere were to find themselves pegged back on 24 minutes as Dougie Gunn found himself unmarked from a corner to shoot past Larkin. Almost immediately Hun suffered a blow as Iain Emery was forced off with a knock and he took with him a lot of Haters’ cutting-edge. Tranmere eventually got the advantage their first-half play merited as, from another corner, Zack Whittall rose highest to beat a stranded Boruc. With the lead fuelling their confidence the home side held firm in the second-half while creating three good chances. They put a bit of gloss on the score after 86 minutes as the ever-reliable Joe Urpani netted from distance to cap a successful day. The win moves Baz’s side onto 24 points, two clear of Celticchris’ Haters but both will know they have lots of work to do if they want to play RM Invitational football next season.
Totaalvoetbal and F.C. Greatness played out a 1-1 draw in a game with not a lot riding on it other than match experience. Greatness suffered an early blow as Martinus Benfari suffered an injury and their woes were to increase as the hosts took the lead. Shirsh Vajpayee was the hero for the home side as he rose well to meet a Richie Chalmers corner and power a header past Rachao. The second-half saw Fabrizio Colluato follow Benfari off the pitch with an injury. Both sides were looking dangerous in attack and went close to adding to the one goal in the game. It would be Greatness, though, who would get the second goal. Youngster Mario Balotelli was the scorer as he met an Arnaldo Sifredi cross expertly to defeat Keizer and ensure a share of the spoils. Darrencalvert spoke of it being a ‘good game’ and called Balotelli a ‘super-teen’ as he looks forward to seeing his prize asset develop. Robin Meeblind, meanwhile, was speaking about the all-important ‘match experience’ and it being ‘much more important than results’ at this stage.

DD Sees off Viking Raid
West Brom Strollers edged out The Vikings 2-0 to, once more, take a stranglehold on the Division One title race. The game got off to an explosive start as Darren Moore left his mark on Leo Idle, earning himself a caution and ending the game early for the Viking player. Both sides had free-kick chances as the game was hotly contested. Almanidis forced the home ‘keeper into fine work as Bryan Robson hit the post with his effort for West Brom. It was to be from a free-kick that the home side would take the lead; Bryan Robson flashing an effort past Connely to give them a 1-0 advantage. This seemed to stun the visitors and ten minutes later Bobby Taylor powerfully headed in the second goal from a Lawrie Cunningham cross. Clint Bonavia threatened to get The Vikings back into it but his effort was thwarted as was his team-mate Almanidis’ strike. To make matters worse for The Vikings, Paraskevas Maladenis was sent-off late on as they succumbed to defeat. The only bad news for West Brom was the injury which Maladenis inflicted upon Moore through the challenge. Eaglesrjh saw his side drop three points off the promotion pace and ruefully noted that he couldn’t ‘believe DD played bruise with a h7 ref and I’m the one with a player sent-off!!’ Meanwhile, Dave was delighted with the six-point lead his side have over second-place with WBS news reporting they ‘have one foot in the proverbial door to the RM Invitational.’
Manchester United and New York City played out a 1-1 draw to give hope to the chasing pack in the quest for promotion. United edged both the possession and chance stats but couldn’t transfer this onto the scoreboard. Indeed, it was New York who would take an early lead as Rufus Bignell shot in after a super corner was delivered by Elivs MacCaran. United created several chances in the first-half and at the beginning of the second but paid for a lack of presence up front. It was left to 17-year-old Carlos Tevez to lead the line and the youngster appeared somewhat overawed by the magnitude of the occasion. United did manage the equaliser on the hour-mark as Ryan Giggs combined with Darren Fletcher for the latter to emphatically finish a breakaway move of startling pace and quality. Both sides might have had a winner but, ultimately, a point each was what they would have to settle for. United also have an injury to Gary Neville to deal with as they look to cement their place in the top three over the last four games of the season. Pakya will be hoping they can take advantage of a game against relegation-threatened Newry City next. Jimmy, prematurely, congratulated Dave on winning the title after the result which he said ‘gifted’ him the crown. However, he will be keen his side retain their focus to avoid any sides overtaking them in the next fortnight.
Three Lions FC moved menacingly into position with a tough 1-0 win over Kirkbride Strollers. The early part of the game was littered with fouls and yellow cards and, therefore, it came as no surprise when the first chance came courtesy of a penalty. Carles Izuyol made no mistake from the spot to give the Lions a crucial lead. The Lions’ other chance of the half came via a free-kick but Cesc Izukas couldn’t make McLoud work in goal. Despite this, though, they managed to keep the Strollers quiet at the other end to take their lead into half-time. It was the home side who would make the more positive start to the second-half but, although they enjoyed some decent chances, they found McLoud in fine form. Gradually, the Strollers worked their way into the contest. However, while they found a way through the Lions rearguard, they couldn’t find a way past Casillas. Cristian Trifan, Jordan MacIan and Mitsuhiro Sinoda all had efforts in a five-minute spell but Casillas was alert enough to deny all of them with some fine shot-stopping. With Strollers now dispirited the Lions finished the game on top and ran out time on a tight 1-0 win. Izuka’s side are now just a point back from Manchester United and face a crunch clash next against The Vikings. Jazza’s Strollers appear to have fallen too far back to force their way in but are sure to be a very competitive side in the division next season.
At the bottom end of the table, PSV Eindhoven won their crucial battle against S.S. Manfredonia as they produced one of their best performances of the season. While the first-half was dominated in terms of possession by Eindhoven they couldn’t translate this into chances and a couple of openings was the best either side could manage. PSV were able to score from one of these chances, though, as Kenny Dalglish calmly finished a breakaway move involving several players. The second-half saw an ultra-confident home side look to take their relegation rivals apart. A 56th minute strike from Yang Sheng Nanmeng gave them the security of a two-goal advantage and they never looked back from this point. Manfredonia were enduring a miserable evening and it got no better as Jake Minto went off injured before Luca Scolza was sent-off for a poor challenge on Dalglish. This also proved to be Dalglish’s last action in the game as he had to go off with an injury due to Solza's attentions. Eindhoven got a deserved third goal as Nanmeng struck after a corner. While Kadri has not yet manoeuvred his side out of the relegation zone the side are transformed from the one he took over and only goal difference is keeping them under the dotted line. Manfredonia are now reliant on being six goals superior but Ekkjonqos knows this will not save his side unless they pick up points also. Their next task? West Brom Strollers on Friday.
Newry City made it six goals in their last two games as their great escape act gathered pace. The first-half was memorable mainly for a nasty injury to Inge Kallqvist and both sides' inability to take their chances. Creating six openings between them they lacked the quality in the final third to finish off the moves and, ultimately, they both had to settle for a 0-0 score when they might have hoped for more. Newry looked the more confident side in the second 45 minutes and showed this as they took the lead courtesy of a Godfrey Revell header on 56 minutes. By the time Antony Cowdrey had hit the net from long range on 62 minutes, Newry were much the better of the two. Even when Juventus managed to get in behind the visitors they still found Wellens too much to beat in goal as the experienced cat put in a man-of-the-match performance. The win was completed on 89 minutes when Revell added his second goal of the game. Following in the footsteps of Cowdrey he picked his spot from distance to leave Fuentes helpless and Juve pointless. Mickeymoose now has got his side in position to move out of the bottom three as they sit just a point off eighth. They have a tough-looking match against Manchester United next but, in current form, who would be brave enough to back against them? Juve, meanwhile, will be starting to get somewhat nervous after letting a big lead over the bottom three slip to just two points. SuperJuve will not need telling of the importance of their match-up against Pahang United on Friday as they look to safeguard their survival.
Goals Aloud and Pahang United played out a tight 1-1 battle at Hoppitop Ground to leave both sides with work to do to avoid relegation to Division Two. Despite Aloud not setting any substitutes they looked the more prepared side in the opening half. They enjoyed one more chance than their visitors in the first 45 minutes and were to make it count. A cross by Rowley Kinsella was met well by the head of Dan Ruffer and Aloud had a crucial one-goal advantage. The second-half proved to be even tighter than the first with only one chance being created. However, Pahang were to make this chance count as Benjamin Johannsen speculated to accumulate from distance and hit the jackpot by defeating Butcher in goal and drag them level. Neither side looked like forcing the pace to pinch a winner and the draw leaves Goals Aloud five points from safety. Popepiusx2 certainly has his work cut out if he is to keep his side in the division and you would think they need to take something from their clash with PSV to have any hope. TrueBlue, meanwhile, was happy with his sides ‘better defending’ but vowed to ‘focus more on attacking from now on’ as they bid to secure the points which will keep them safe.

Belly Eat Up Ground at Top
Belly Tubbies made the most of a home match with bottom club Southampton as they won 3-0 to move into second-place in the table. Enjoying a massive advantage in possession the Tubbies managed to create three openings in the first-half; although they only took one as the Saints remained doggedly in the contest. The goal came early on as Phil Fieldwick finished off a breakaway move which involved some clever play from Stuart Kendrick. An injury to Phillip Patterson forced them into a reshuffle but didn’t stop them maintaining the upper hand in the contest. This would continue into the second-half with Fieldwick quickly adding his and his team’s second goal of the game after being given too much room from a corner. Once more the goal was followed by an injury with Jules Vallade following Patterson off the pitch. Southampton did enjoy a couple of chances in the game but were, in general, over-matched and under-aged to make any real impact. The Tubbies rounded off the win as Kendrick turned provider by delivering a cross for Chema Jota to head home. They now sit just a point off the top spot with Tubbies news reporting they ‘seem to be coming into form at just the right time.’ Hardinho admitted it was the average age which cost him but reaffirmed his desired to ‘build for the future.’
AJ Rovers returned to the top of the table with a 4-0 win over Kroklund Kings. The Kings never got a look-in against a super-determined home side who scored two goals in each half on their way to a comfortable win. AJ were in clinical mood during the first-half as they scored two of their three chances to overcome an injury to Justin Mortimer. Their first goal came on 14 minutes as Eldur Gottskalk connected well enough with his effort from distance to beat Tolvanen in goal. They gained some breathing space on 26 minutes with a Patric van der Gouw strike in the penalty area. With Kroklund non-existent going forward it was no more than the home side deserved going into the interval. It was to be the same protagonists who would work wonders for the home side after the break. A long range shot from van der Gouw extending the lead to 3-0 on 57 minutes before Gottskalk finished accurately in the area on 78 minutes completing the rout. Once more they were hit with an injury as Gregory Rowling had to be taken off with a problem which threatens to ruin the remainder of his season. Rothion has now masterminded his side back to the top albeit just a point clear of their rivals. While promotion will remain his main goal he will also be looking at a title triumph and the glory which accompanies it. Kroklund are four points clear of the relegation zone with four games to go as bossebong fights hard for survival to give himself the opportunity to move his squad onto the next level.
Kensington Boys Club dropped to third after a hugely entertaining 3-3 home draw with relegation-threatened White Hawk FC. Neither side could drag themselves clear of the other in an end-to-end 90 minutes. Maurice Jacobs had put the home side in front from a header only for Glenn Rijssel to equalise on eight minutes. Kensington were creating much the better of the openings but were unable to get back in front and paid the price on 39 minutes as Hawk soared into the lead for the first time. A corner was well-delivered by Ryan Dharmsingh and met, equally as well, by Matts Perman who headed past Barnett. Kensington did manage to strike back, though, with Adrian Gray continuing his good recent form with a fine strike from distance just four minutes later. The second-half did tighten up somewhat but still saw two goals in the first twenty minutes of it. Giovanni Jap A Joe struck from range for Hawk before Gray, again, pulled them back with a breakaway goal of stunning simplicity as a couple of passes completely opened up the visiting defence. Neither side could force a winner which would have been so crucial in their respective battles but a point will have been gratefully received by both. Patrik bemoaned his side’s defence as they fell a point behind Rovers, calling it a ‘terrible shame’ to concede three goals. He moved on to underline the importance of their next game, saying ‘it is quite imperative to get a good result on Friday.’ White Hawk, meanwhile, are three points away from Carthage and safety with their next match against Kroklund now taking on added significance in their battle against the drop.
Real Madrid stormed back up to fourth-place with a 3-1 win over Los Samgeles Kings. After being winless in their previous three games, Madrid showed a cutting edge that had been missing as they scored three of their four chances in the game. Willie Rhodes set the tone for the day’s finishing as he executed smartly in the area following impressive work from Mao Wannasathit. Indeed, it was to be Rhodes who would prove the difference between the sides as he scored a super hat-trick. His second was a penalty on 31 minutes as some slack defending led to Al Beback awarding the spot-kick. Los Samgeles were performing well themselves and got a deserved goal through Luc Robitaille on 37 minutes. He finished well after a corner from Ron Pottinger found its way to the midfielder. Both sides endured injury problems as Rob Blake for the visitors and Ashod Marderosian for Madrid went off in either half. The Kings did have chances to add to their solitary goal but, unlike Madrid, they didn’t have someone in the form of Rhodes to take advantage. Rhodes it was who added the clinching third goal with a sensational distant strike to also seal himself a match-ball. The win takes Madrid to within three points of Kensington in third and FredRizzo will be in determined mood for his side to kick on from this win. Stripy8’s Kings sit only a point further back with the manager insisting, ‘the players have been training hard so we can at least make the top 3.’
Charlottenburg FC and Internazionale both remain in the hunt following a 0-0 draw at The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Arena. Inter seemed very intense as the game opened and might have opened the scoring but for a wasted Garry Maynard strike. Inter’s aggressive play manifested itself in other areas, though, as they seemed to become riled following an injury to Elton Hills. Bookings to Bert Keith and Lambert Trott quickly followed as Inter attempted to keep calm. Their quest to do so wasn’t helped when they had, what appeared, a seemingly good goal ruled out for offside when replays showed he was, perhaps, level. Inter began the second-half in similar fashion with another couple of bookings and a wasted chance. Eventually, Charlottenburg woke from their slumber and could have opened the scoring but for a Dean Ashton header hitting the bar. The hosts would finish the stronger as Bayrak saw red for Inter but they couldn’t find a way past the impressive Hawke in goal. The managers, Potsdamerplatz and Jamesmclaughlin, will still be keeping an eye on the top three as the season moves into its final four games. The Charlottenburg manager was even happy to announce a strong looking ‘average score of 13.64’ though as he prepares to nurture his squad through the change report and, whether promoted or not, they are sure to be a force for many seasons to come.
The remaining game in the division saw Carthage FC give their survival hopes a shot in the arm while denting Morley’s at the same time. Morley suffered an early blow as Gwilym Cullip was forced off and endured further frustration when Christopher Love’s shot was turned round the post by an athletic Aurelius in goal. Carthage edged on top for the remainder of the half and, after going close through a free-kick, they were to take a 34th minute lead. Ad Herbal’s clever pass gave Guido Eliseo enough room in midfield to look up and drill a low shot past Zubeldia. The second-half saw Carthage look to protect their lead although that could have proved fruitless after only two minutes. A free-kick was aimed at Adolf Munzberg and the midfielder planted his header past Aurelius but also back off the post. The near-miss seemed to sum up Morley’s unfortunate season in one piece of action as with a bounce of the ball in their favour in a couple of games they could have found themselves in a much better position. As it is, this was to prove their final chance of the game and they now sit five points from safety with Morley news reporting that ‘survival looks to be an uphill struggle.’ Blakey will be delighted with the three points as they seek to open up a decisive gap between themselves and White Hawk.

Interview with Stripy8
Good afternoon Stripy8, manager of Los Samgeles Kings in division 2.
Q: You are currently in seventh place after a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid and in division 2 season 3 this means you are in the title race. With just a couple of games to go it might be decided in the very last dying moments of play. Do you feel confident in Los Samgeles Kings upcoming fixtures and how would you sum up your season so far?
A: Even though we are currently in 7th place, we are only 5 points off top spot. So it is still possible. Our season has been up at down so far. We had a very good unbeaten streak at the start of the season which lasted 6 games but we ended that fantastic run with a 5 game run without a win.We need to get some good results in upcoming games, especially against AJ Rovers. But we have confidence in this fixture as we drew 0-0 with them at their ground so we look forward to hosting them in the next game.
Q: Indeed, you´ve got a big match coming up against Rovers who are currently at the top of the league. With Ron Blake injured, how do you feel about such an important match? How do you prepare for matches normally and is there any difference now with four games to go?
A: We have watched Rovers over the last few games and we are prepared for this big game. The players have been training hard so we can at least make the top 3. But league champions are not out of the question yet.
Q: With a lot of players risking suspension you have a famously sadistic referee in Frank Redkard who has been known to like the attention of a crowd despite the fact that it is usually negative. Is it something you are considering when talking to the lads before the match, to ease up on the tackling?
A: Players risking suspension is not an issue for me. As long as they are playing well and have good form, They will play regardless of the risk of suspension. We will do whatever it takes to win and if players get suspended by doing so, we can replace them in the next game.
Q: Dustin Brown is clearly your greatest star with fourteen nominations in the xperteleven but is also part of a golden generation growing more silver for each passing season. With most of your quality players over or near 30, are you happy with just the one retirement?
A: Most of my older players (if not all of them) were already kings players when I took this job.I Started with an old team who were already relegated and had a very poor budget so we had no choice but to keep our experienced players and its turned out ok so far.Eventually they will be replaced. With the exception of Dustin Brown and whoever earns the right to stay.
Q: What are your thoughts on the age factor of the game?
A:I like to have a reletively young side usually with a couple of "Golden Oldies" but I have not yet had enough time or money to build the side I would like.Make do with what you've got is something I like to say. I stuck around when most managers would have bowed out when they saw the state the club was in.
Thank you Stripy8, and good luck on Friday!

Wortley Woe for Wandsworth
Wandsworth FC finally succumbed to their first defeat as an RM Invitational football club as they were undone by a Matty Heath goal at wortley. With wortley still vying for promotion it was vital they picked up something from the game with their rivals winning elsewhere. The goal came early in the piece as Heath picked up a pass from Salomao Godiz before lobbing Heckingbottom from some way out. In truth, Wandsworth were slow out of the blocks as they began mistiming challenges to accompany their one-goal deficit. Rowley Forrester was booked for one such challenge which saw Walter Willock injured. The good news for home fans being that it wasn’t reported to be too serious an injury. Wandsworth did force a couple of chances in an otherwise tight first-half but Ryan Prisk hadn’t brought his shooting boots with him and failed to hit the target on either occasion. The beginning of the second-half nearly saw wortley double their advantage as Brandon Hiller crashed a free-kick off the bar. They needn’t have worried, though, as with Darcy Hording hopelessly misdirecting a shot it was clear it wasn’t going to be Wandsworth’s day. The win keeps wortley within two points of the promotion places and such a performance can only boost them going into the final four matches. Wandsworth still need a point to confirm the title and will want to erase this defeat from their psyche before a table-topping clash with These Charming Men.
These Charming Men warmed up for that particular match with a hard-fought 1-0 win of their own over Glory Hornets. The home side had a contrasting start to the game as they suffered an injury to Jon Turnball before forcing a couple of early chances. Chano Delgado missed the target with his effort and Constantino Gris crashed an effort off the bar as the Hornets held on. Indeed, the Hornets had a hard-luck tale of their own as Lionel Monk did the same thing with a powerfully curled shot as the sides went in level at the break. The second-half was a slow-burner as a Tord Jakobson free-kick in the 53rd minute flashed over and preceded a period of uneventful play. The breakthrough came somewhat out of the blue in the 78th minute. A breakaway move of real pace led to Juan-Jose Galiano lobbing Rosbotham to give the hosts a crucial advantage. It would be an advantage they would hold as the Hornets missed their chance when Eliott Malloy fired off-target while they also suffered an injury to Raphael Dearden to cap a frustrating day. These Charming Men remain four points clear of fourth but RDCM warned that ‘the promotion spots are still there for the chasing pack to catch’ ahead of their big clash with Wandsworth. Glory Hornets are now eight points back of third and, with games running out, it would appear a promotion place is just out of reach.
Alsancak F.C kept a hold of third-place with an expected win at Here For The Beer FC. Alsancak put in a devastating opening half of football to put themselves out of sight by the interval. This would come after the sides traded early goals. On twelve minutes Kenny Acton headed home from a corner only for Terrance Maxfield to find the net from range two minutes later. Maxfield then caused further damage to the visiting side by injuring Duncan Lumsden with a wreckless challenge. This seemed to serve as inspiration for the visitors, though, as they scored four goals in a blistering ten-minutes spell. It was to be Acton who would inspire the spell of football as he scored two goals to complete his hat-trick and set-up another in a brilliant individual display. He found space from a corner on 25 minutes to restore the visitor’s lead before sliding though Deano Elmes three minutes later for his fellow forward to stretch the lead to 3-1. Elmes then returned the favour a minute later by feeding Acton who finished with some aplomb. The home side were under siege by this point and it came as no surprise when the fifth goal came, courtesy of a Nana Adella header after a Max Jerkyll corner. The second-half was a non-event in comparison to the first but Alsancak still maintained control. They did this despite suffering a late sending-off as Samuel del Valle received his marching orders. To cap off the home side’s misery, Alsancak even managed another goal while they were down to 10-men as Adella added his second of the game in similar fashion to his first, by heading in a corner. Despite remaining in third with a two-point cushion over wortley, Wienersnitzel explained to reporters that they were going to ‘run the risk of not getting promotion in favour of match experience.’ Time will tell whether they are able to pull both off. Here For The Beer FC, meanwhile, continue their excruciating season with the mercy being it only has two weeks left to run.
Glasgow City defeated The Champs 2-1 to leave both sides six points off the promotion pace with four games to go. City had the perfect start when Izuki Ito deposited a penalty awarded by Constance Paine. Their lead did briefly disappear just before the half-hour mark as, following good work from Randy Alker, Bruce Collinge found a finish too accurate for Longton to stop. However, City were still playing well and had their lead restored just four minutes later as Petrus Normqvist and Dan Parkinson broke from the midfield for the latter to find the net with a cool finish. Glasgow could have added more goals in the first-half but wasted up to four other chances as their final touch often let-down their progressive approach play. The Champs, for their part, did do their utmost to get back into the game after the break but couldn’t find the clear-cut chance which might have given them the leveller. The result leaves Wylie and Moonboy both looking for the other promotion chasers to slip-up as they sit six points behind. The Champs can change the face of the battle in the next match, though, as they meet wortley in a must-win encounter for Wylie’s side.
Grey Area put in a solid performance as they defeated Wiltshire Warriors 3-1 at Doon The Park. Pressing Wiltshire back for large periods of the first-half, Grey Area managed to create six chances while netting two of them. Their first goal came on 30 minutes as a Norman Cederhag cross was met by a quality header from Diego Maradona. The same combination put the hosts 2-0 up as Cederhag set Maradona up from a free-kick as the young forward netted his sixth goal of the season. The Warriors were a much improved side after the break as Big K sought an improvement. They did, briefly, threaten to produce a stunning comeback as Steven Milford connected with a Bob Black corner to halve the deficit. Their hopes, though, were killed off by one of their own players. Wade Fairchild inadvertently put the ball past his own ‘keeper on 77 minutes to restore the two-goal advantage for Grey Area and deliver them the three points. The win will have come as a boost to Carfin who was busy restructuring his squad before last night’s transfer deadline. The big news was the signing of Herbert Stigsson from Totaalvoetbal with Carfin explaining that ‘the young lad has a bright future ahead of him.’ Big K stated that ‘sloppy goals’ had cost his team but expected to right the wrong against Here For The Beer in their next match.
Dream Team continued to show promise of a brighter future as they defeated Northwich Victoria 2-0 at Victoria stadium. They dominated possession and chances from the start as they looked, by far, the superior outfit. Dream Team took the lead on 16 minutes as Kenneth Caster headed in a Dudley Barrowcliff cross to punish some slack marking. They had further chances but couldn’t add to their one-goal lead during a first-half which saw both sides lose players to niggling injuries. The second-half saw the visitors step up their attacking intent but, again, some lacklustre finishing and some inspired ‘keeping from Sigurdsen kept the score respectable. Barrowcliff did, eventually, add a second goal, though, as he let fly from distance to deceive the cat and give them a deserved added cushion. Seeing his side climb into tenth, MrJames was in a happy mood and plotting his route through the RMI by declaring that sides can ‘expect me in the top divisions in a few seasons time.’ Northwich remain disappointing considering the obvious talent of their young manager MadMagpie.
Alsancak To Concentrate On Experience...
Alsancak swept aside Here For The Beer away from home 1-6 in a very one-sided game.
Alsancak's goalscorers on the day where N Adella (2), D Elmes and K Acton (3), assists came from M Jekyll, N Adella, D Elmes, N Shipton and K Acton (2), Man Of The Match was K Acton.
"On paper are in with a chance of promotion but with several players lacking some experience I have decided to run the risk of not getting promotion in favour of match experience and playing less strong sides for the remainder of the season" Wienersnitzel said.
Next up Home to Northwich Victoria.

Six goal draw
What would seem to be a tight game on paper turned into a six-goal-bonanza on grass as Kensington Boys Club failed to grab the vital three points needed to fight for promotion.
"This was probably an entertaining match for the neutrals, but conceding three goals is a terrible shame at this level of football. Our midfield provided some excellent chances despite poor Max being heavily marked for some reason but Darryl really had a bad day in goal. There were some tactical mistakes which I take full blame for but in the end, this is division 2 football in a nutshell. Sadly, AJ Rovers proved that they belong in first place by a crushing 4-0 win and that´s the kind of game we need to provide in order to compete."
Kensington now face Southampton who are fighting relegation with a really young team while Rovers and Real Madrid have a tough schedule ahead of them. Hopefully Kensington can show they are division 1 material in the coming fixtures.
"Aubrey de Vere is expected to return but it will have to be seen whether he can return to his glory days form-wise. It is quite imperitive to get a good result on Friday as the mighty Belly Tubbies await us next week and I must say they look the stronger at the moment and will be fierce competitors for the crown."

Area Complete Business In Nick Of Time
The paperwork was lodged at th RMI FA headquarters with barely five minutes left on the clock for the transfers of Dempsey & Coccia (out) and Herbert Stigson (in).
Carfin was happy to see Dempsey go. "Julian had an aversion to training and if you can't do it in practice conditions what chance does he have doing it for real? I wish him well for the future."
On Coccia, "The old head just couldn't settle into his new surroundings so we have taken the decision to allow him to return home."
"I've saved the best news until last with the signing of young defender Stigson. The young lad has a bright future ahead of him and I can see him becoming a rock at the heart of our defence for years to come."

Focus on attacking
Last matches shown that Pahang United still in struggling maintain their form and place where they just got draw 1-1.
The games ;
Minute 1: Card: Henning Gassner, yellow card for hand ball, Pahang United.
Minute 6: Chance: Lob header by Jeremias Lindeman, Pahang United.

We now lack of attacking. We got better in defending. I've to focus more on attacking start from now on. I sold a good player due to give a chance for youth to have more games and experience because they have better prospect in future. I also can't waste extra 130 000 econs for subtitutes players.

The match started badly for TCM, Defender Jon Turnbull having to leave the field due to injury not long after kick off, Calvino Arribas taking his place.
Chano Delgado had an opportunity soon after but Hornets keeper Ashton Rosbotham just had to watch the shot fly high over his goal.
In form defender Constantino Gris broke forward for TCM o 22 minutes, set up with a delightful pass from Jordi Rodri, the rocket shot bounced of the woodwork before being safely caught by Rosbotham, The groans ringing out around Irregulars Arena.
The Hornets nearly stung a couple of minutes later when Lionel Monk drilled the ball against the TCM woodwork.

The Hornets tried to fight their way back into the game and came close with a shot from Eliott Malloy.
End result 1-0 to TCM and RDCM was happy with the 3 points, “We made it 3 out of 3 as expected, but the promotion spots are still there for the chasing pack to catch. A superb result for wortley today leaves them well in the mix, let’s see whether we can delay the Wandsworth FC celebrations and make it 4 out of 4”

One foot in the door!
West Brom Stroller have one foot in the proverbial door to the RM Invitational after their victory over The Vikings.
Bryan Robson scoring from a cracking free kick after half an hour. !0 minutes later Bob Taylor notched his 13th of the season, nodding home Lawrie Cunninghams perfect cross.
The win means Strollers sit 6 points ahead of New York City, 8 points above Manchester United and 9 points ahead of Three Lions. There superior goal differnce must surely mean they need only 3 points from their remaing 4 matches to gain promotion.

Deadlock at MVB
A late equaliser cost Totaalvoetbal two points as F.C. Greatness made their point at the MVB Arena.
The game got off to a troubled start for Greatness as they saw Martinus Benfari go off with an injury which will keep him out of action until early June. His replacement, Mario Balotelli, the young forward who has made such a name for himself this term, would go on to make a massive impact in the game.
In what was an extremely tight opening half-hour the only chance came courtesy of a free-kick as Faust Baronchelli found Robert Keizer more than his equal.
Totaal were awarded their first chance when Dennis Gyllenhielm was booked for an act of cynicism in bringing down Pierre van Diemen. The resulting free-kick saw Horacio Metelo bring the best out of Rachao. Moments later, though, the home side would take the lead. A corner was forced after a period of pressure following the free-kick. Richie Chalmers produced a delivery of gold standard from which Shirsh Vajpayee flicked a header into the far corner.
The second-half brought more chances as the game opened up. Cannavaro immediately forced Keizer into more smart work and, although, Colluato went off injured it was Greatness who looked the more threatening. Indeed, Faust Baronchelli then demanded Keizer punch his effort away after the forward connected sweetly with a drive.
It wasn’t until the 71st minute that Totaal had their opening chance of the half; Pierre van Diemen sending a header well over.
Chances were now coming at either end and following a Cannavaro lob, which brushed the bar, the play went straight back down the other end as Shivan Preetnav went close with a flicked header. Totaal could have extended their lead minutes later but Vajpayee couldn’t direct his chip on target either.
They immediately paid for this miss as Greatness marched down the other end to equalise. In a stroke of fortune it was Balotelli, who wouldn’t have been playing but for the earlier injury, who headed a Sifredi cross past Keizer.
Vajpayee did force Rachao into another save but neither side could force a winner and had to settle for a point apiece.
The final whistle was met with an understated response from Meeblind as he met the media this sound bite:
“We have done okay but this season now is just about getting the match experience up. Richie and Watta have gone some way towards doing this and it is much more important than results.
“With four games to go we’ll pretty much finish where we are but if we can get everyone progressing in the silly-season we can be much stronger next season. Good luck to Darren in his quest to do this also.”

Sloppy Goals
Big K was not to down hearted after the defeat tonight by the Grey Area we saw the best of the ball with 54% possession but allowed them to many chances and conceeded some sloppy goals one from a set piece and another was an own goal the 4-4-2 formation was risky away from home and not the right tactics tonight.....so it's back to the drawing board before we entertain Here for the Beer next match and with them planted at the foot of the table Big K will have no where to hide if we don't claim all 3 points.
Going Down Town?
A string of woeful results has left Morley deep in relegation trouble, their latest result being a 1-0 defeat to Carthage FC, and with Morley still to face four of the top five, survival looks to be an uphill struggle, though the only consolation for Morley is that three of their remaining four games are home fixtures.
First up is a home fixture against second placed Belly Tubbies, and with Tubbies news recently declaring that they have only lost two of the last thirteen games Morley will have to be on top form to gain any kind of a result.
Morley will then face Charlottenburg in their second home fixture, Charlottenburg are challenging for promotion so will surely be going all out for a win, Town then travel to Kensington Grounds for their last away fixture of the season, Kensington are currently third in the table and fighting for promotion with Morley's final opponents Real Madrid.
Town are currently five points from safety and pundits are speculating Morley will need three wins, and with the teams Morley have to face, Town can make or break their own and possibly the seasons of their four opponents.

Promotion looking possible
Belly Tubbies had a fine 3 0 win over bottom of the table Southampton.
The team have now lost just 2 of the last 13 games and seem to be coming into form at just the right time.

Another new song doing the rounds
This evenings match at The Hawthorns should be a classic. Hopefully some good football but the terrace banter should be good too.
The West Brom faithful have been heard chanting
"Hark now hear, the west brom sing, a king is born today.
His name is Bobby Taylor and he's much better than Portway!!"
Lets hope the fans aren't left looking stupid!!
A win for Strollers would almost guarantee promotion.

New song doing the rounds
Viking Land News
Viking Land News can report that after Justin Portways recent scoring record that a song dedicated to the striker has been doing the rounds on Vikings discussion groups and fansites.
Roughly to the Blackadder theme tune it goes
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he is a goal machine
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, though he is only eighteen
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he seems to know no fears
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he'll leave your team in tears
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he'll always hear our cheers
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he could lead the line for years
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he should never be sold
Portwaa-ay, Portwaa-ay, he is turning into gold!
Manager Eaglesrjh smiled when he heard the song and said "It's good that the fans have taken Portway to heart and he is a great young player with bags of potential, but my job is to keep his feet on the ground and ensure he continues to put in the hard work. Oh and scoring back to back hat-tricks does not guarantee him a place next game!"

Stanley the draw specialists?
Stanley have drawn 3 out of there last 4 matches , not exactly title winning material?
Manager Markham33 told reporters at todays press conference " i`m highly delighted with our performances this season in what is a tough league where any team can beat the other , to be in third place this far into the season is more than i expected at the start of the season , we have drawn 3 out of the last 4 games but we did not lose them and we still remain a difficult team to beat and i believe we have the best defence in the league"

big victory
With the champs desperate to get into the promotional spots at the top of the table they need to keep winning and this week a big victory against the grey area saw them move to within 3 points of jumping into 3rd.
PSV Eindhoven 3 - 3 The Vikings
Viking Land News
Vikings slip from 3rd in entertaining draw.
The Viikings slipped out of the promotion places after an entertaining draw in possibly the most exciting game of the day.The Vikings seem to be having an injury prone season and in the 4th minute Irwin felt a twinge and came off to be replaced by Leo Idle. Voronin then took advantage of the defensive reshuffle as he found space and curled a long range effort into the goal on 7 minutes. Recalled striker Clint Bonavia then hit a post for the Vikings on 10 minutes with a good header. Bonavia was then forced off with a slight injury after a brutal tackle by Dalgish that earned the midfielder a yellow card. Last games hero Justin Portway came off the bench to replace Bonavia. Fonte then sent a 16th minute freekick over the bar as Eindhoven continued to press. The game was very back and forth and Crouch had the next chance heading over from 10 yard on 21. Dalglish then must have regretted his tackle on Bonavia as the replacement Portway raced clear of the Eindhoven defence onto a Gourmas through ball and calmly chipped the advancing keeper to level the game on 29. Eindhoven then also had to make a change as Babel limped off and Nanmeng came on. Voronin then unleashed another shot on 35 but Lees handled the ball well. McNally then headed over on 37 for Eindhoven. Dalglish then hit the corssbar on 40 minutes as Eindhoven may have felt they had done enough to deserve to be ahead at the break. Strachan did have a header saved on 44 as the Vikings reminded Eindhoven they had come to play too. 1-1 half time.
Eindhoven retook the lead on 54 minutes as Fonte found McNally in space and he shot home from range. The Vikings are a detirmined bunch though and again Portway levelled the game as he again ran onto a throughball from Veziridis and slotted past Reina. The Vikings kept coming and Papakostas volleyed just wide on 62. Portway was once again showing other forwards how to play the game and forced Reina into a good save on 76 from his diving header. Dalglish then clipped the outside of a post for Eindhoven as they looked to retake the lead on 78. Eindhoven were then caught with too many players upfield on 79 and once again a clinical breakaway saw Portway latch onto a ball from Strachan and nutmegged the keeper to put the Vikings ahead and seal a second succesive hat-trick. Just when the Vikings felt they had nicked the game Eindhoven were awarded a 84th minute penalty that was converted by Agger. Neither side could then create another chance and the game finished 3-3.
After the game Eaglesrjh said "Well what a game that was! They played more offensively than we expected so the game was always going to have chances, but 3-3 wow! In some ways i'm relieved to get a point after being behind twice in the game but to be pegged back by the 6th penalty given against us this year is pretty sickening! As for Portway, what can I say about the lad, 1 hat-trick is special but successive hat-tricks, one coming off the bench has to be classed as exceptional. Whats more given the situation with match experience for other strikers I cant even guarantee him a spot in the 16 for the next game!"
