Patrik press interview 4

RM Invitational Press met up with a pleased manager in Lotharistvan. Making his debut in RMI he is so far unbeaten and as if that wasn´t enough, his team Wandsworth FC is the only team to manage the feat of not conceding one single goal in the four matches played so far in RM Invitational.

Q: You are still to concede a goal, any explanation as to this amazing start of your debut season?A:No not really. We had no idea what the opposition was going to be like once we entered RM invitational and there is no given winner in division three since most if not all the teams are almost equal in strength and motivation. We don’t focus solely on our defence to keep teams from scoring against us; au contraire - winning is about scoring more goals than the opponent and like someone much wiser than me once said, “The best defence is a good offence”. Although I must say that Kris Heckinbottom is, at this time, one of our most important players. Not just as an outstanding goalie but also as one of our older team members being like a big brother for our younger players.

Q:You fired Scottie Rossall and as yet you haven´t replaced him. Now you are left with Heckinbottom as your only goalkeeper, are you hoping for someone to pass through the youth ranks or do you have a signing in mind for the near future?
A: No that would be utter madness. We are constantly searching for new young talents that would be of value for us and I can indulge you with some relevant news regarding this. We have just signed a contract with Alex Mizimura to be our new goalkeeper. That doesn’t mean that Kris won’t be playing any more matches though. But it’s always nice to have a backup goalie.

Q:You are currently on top of the league, after playing four games and possibly have had the time to eye your next opponent, is there any particular teams that you feel will trouble you in the season ahead?
A: Aye most of them. Both the Gunners and Wortley are in my opinion worthy opponents. And I would also like to mention Chelsea. Chelsea might not have anything to do with the fight for being one of the top three teams this season but most of their results so far are based on bad luck. They are also the youngest team in our division and I see a lot promise in their future when the young talents grow more experienced and are able to "fill their shoes" so to speak.

Good luck and great work so far in division 3, LotharIstvan.
Thanks
