Amateurs record hard fought win

The Yorkshire Amateurs managed to bounce back from their defeat to FC Greatness with victory against AC Milan at The Thorp Arches.

Star striker Amadeo Caviedes saw little of the ball as he was shackled tightly by the Milan defence. The Amateurs took a slender one goal lead into the half time interval after good work from Gabriel Mohan allowed Murray Davis to slam home the opener.

Milan equalised soon after the restart with an expert finish from Ron Aldinho. Murray Davis once again exploited space in the opposition half when he teed up Freddie Roos to restore the Amateurs advantage. Davis then capped a fine performance by releasing Gabriel Mohan to slot home on 67 minutes to wrap up the victory.

Next up is a tough looking game against Tranmere Rovers. Danlufc13 told the waiting press, “The league is much tougher this season already, good sides are getting beat and managers seem to be much more clued up and so coming away with a victory in your home games is vital. We’re enjoying the challenge and I am happy with the way the squad are performing so far”.
