West Brom Strollers hit 5 to sink Juventus.
West Brom flew out of the blocks Willie Johnston (a late addition to the starting 11), scoring twice in the opening 3 minutes the first a scorching long range drive, the second a deft header from a Lee Hughes cross.It didnt take long for Strollers to extend the lead further, Richard Sneeks heading past the keeper in the 17th. Things calmed down for the remainder of the first half and Strollers went in 3-0.The second half wasa much more even contest but it was again Strollers who tool their chances 'Super' Bobby Taylor scoring from close range. Juventus grabbed a deserved consolation Goal in the 85th, Orlan Cantino letting fly from way out to stun the stranded Carson.Willie Johnston finished where he started completing his hat trick in the 89th.
Johnstone the wing wizard spoke to the press "it was only a few minutes before kick off i new i was playing, Cunny (Lawrie Cunningham) should have started, but the gaffer changed his mind and asked me to do my stuff"
Dinkydave commented "something just wasn't right, it was playing on my mind. Cunnys a great player with a massive future at this club, but i just felt at the last minute we needed a bit of experience, obviously my decision was justified. Its another good win and its nice to see us scoring"
Strollers had 5 players named in the division X11 Midfield trio Robson, Sneekes and Hat trick hero Johnston, Super Bob and the ever present Darren 'Big Dave' Moore.
