chances

''We are having a terible season this year but now it looks that we might have some chances to get out of those last three places, but looking for points tomorrow is not going to be easy,'' was the answer of the manager on the question if AC Milan will avoid degradation from first division.

BONKERS!!!

The Lcub managed has officailly been committed to a mental hospital this week until further notice. The club announced that after the game against those welsh boys, the manager went into some wierd kind of trance and collapsed on the field. He was rambling on and on about tactics, positions and team selections. To tell the truth, maybe the players should have been committed as well. What a terrible game, total domination was seen by the Bonkers team, until in a short 3 minute stint the team let in 3 easy/soft goals to let Cradiff win the game. The home team support left stadium, and as there were no Cardiff supporters allowed in the stadium (yes, Bonkers are crazy enough to not let away teams have supporters) the home team foudn themselves loosing the will to live as the stadium emptied. The owner of the team has decleared that there will be major shake ups to come this week and hopefully this will allow the team to get out of relegation. Bonkers.

In the Red

Santos poor run of form continued with two losses to Kirkbride and Vikings. Their first 2 game losing streak of the season, Santos will need to get three points at home against Thundercats. Fortunately for the side, the relegation spots have remained virtually unchanged, however it is still in the best interests for all teams involved to compete in all remaining matches. Added to the problem is getting match experience for youth players, it will be an interesting end of the season.

Sean7 was encouraged by his midfield play. but is looking for his forwards to carry the team , as they have under-performed this season. Match fitness and lack of goal instinct has hurt the team.

Controlling the Cocks

The Pink Bus press room was throbbing with excitment as the RIders boss held his latest press conference. Today, the gaffer could be seen wearing a ladies leotard accompanied by some gentlemans slip on leather shoes. He looked sophisticated...yet sexy.

"Look, you bunch of nobheads, stop pissing around and listen to what I have to say" bellowed the muscle-bound boss.

"I read with interest the press statement released by Ithaqua this week" he continued "Yes, I was arrested the other night after a night on the town with Ith and my sister Kelie_gets. I pounded a waiters face with a mallet. This was totally justified. Why should he get away with asking me if I wanted butter on my knob?" mused the sweat ridden manager.

"I was already in a bad mood that night. I had to endure Ith and my sister flirting all night...and at one point, I am sure Ith slipped her a length when he thought I wasn't watching. The dirty bastard!"

"Anyway, onto more important matters. As Ith announced this week, the RMI Commonwealth Games have started. I was invited to be guest referee at the first round Cock Fighting match between Cocks18 and SuperGaySchlongMan. I was expecting to see some old fashioned battles between 2 hgihtly trained, feathered birds. What I encountered was very different."

"I arrived to see the two protagonists already in battle, however every Cock Fighting rule in the book had been thrown out the window. The 2 giant GayLords had a hold of each others cocks, yanking them hard in every direction. Feathers flying everywhere"

"Cocks18 and GaySchlong were squeezing each others cocks so hard that the veins in the cocks started to bulge. The heads of the Cocks started to go purple, presumably due to lack of oxygen. It was a ghastly site" mused the gaffer

"Then, out of nowhere, Cocks18 threw GaySchlong and his cock onto the canvass and jumped straight onto the head of the cock. The cock had gone all stiff, I can only presume this was due to fear! He started to bounce up and down on his cock so hard GaySchlong screamed in anguish. Presumably his cock was starting to ache and get sore as Cocks18 bounced on it with a gleeful look on his face"

"To counter this attack, GaySchlong grabbed Cocks18's cock and bit down on it as hard as he could. Cocks18 must have shared the pain experienced in his cock as he released a painful squeal" continued the gaffer.

"I had no choice but to grab both cocks in my hand and give them back to their respective owners. I disqualified both contestants for below the belt tactics."

"In conclusion, I feel I made the right call. These 2 homo-sexual bugger-boys should evidently be banned from being anywhere near a cock again. They cannot be trusted"

The Pink Bus boss then leapt to his feet, sent a sexually charged text message to Barfin's wife and ran sprinted from the room at speed, touching his private parts as he went.

Massive game up next

Yorkshires Amateurs are running out of games now as they seek to cling on to their top flight status. Two narrow 1-0 defeats have meant that survival looks unlikely but it would surely be impossible if they fail to beat White Hawk in their next game.

Vikings need to rewrite history

Viking Land News

The Vikings are still top of the table but Totaalvoetbal are pushing us hard and will surely take advantage of any slip ups. However manager Eaglesrjh is looking no further than the next trip to face recently rebranded Arsenal DB.

We have never won a game at this ground and really if we are to try to win the title this year? we need to try to change that. 2 draws and 2 defeats is what we have had here but we go in trying to nick all 3 this time. We will of course be keeping an eye on the Totaal game though as they face a tricky trip to Kirkbride Strollers, and then of course the clash of the titans will happen at Viking Land on Friday.

Way Forward?

Arsenal boss DomBrown is left wondering which direction to take for the run in of his debut season in the top flight.

Brown can either player his strongest team and aim for a good 3rd place in his debut season or he can ensure all his youth players get the games they need and end up mid-table or just above the drop zone. Arsenal are confident they can stay up but with 3 out of the 5 games left coming against the 3 teams above them in the league Brown is left wondering what to do.

Brown would like a good result against the teams above him and push for 3rd but there are many youths that need games and doubts he can push the top teams with so many youth players needed in each game.

3-0 Win Makes it Three-In-A Row

Town News

Morley made it three wins on the bounce with a routine 3-0 win against Tottenham, Morley had a measure of control throughout the game and perhaps should have scored more than just three. Helder Velez continued his excellent season by scoring the opening goal with a fine headed goal from Cullips corner.

Two minutes later and Cullip set up Arnautu to see Morley go two up after only 12 minutes, Morley wasted chance after chance for the remainder of the first half, the second period was a much quieter aafair but Morley added a third through Arnautu before Huddlestone was given his marching orders to compound Tottenhams misery.

Next up for Moley is a trip to the Gents WC to face Pink Bus Riders FC (formally 1863 Munich).

All Square at Irregulars

These Charming Men were content with a point in a closely contested game at home against Dream Team.

A closely contested game saw Chano Delgado on target to take an early 7th minute lead for TCM, however Ronald Ready made it all square with a 30 yard rocket on the half hour mark.

RDCM seemed pleased after the game and was content with a point from a difficult game.

can we cling on?

A defeat by Anime Allstars on Friday again puts promotion hopes on hold, the next game is very difficult as we play leaders Espada and if we lose and Anime win then we will be down to only 1 point ahead and it will be really nervous times ahead to see if we can cling on.

Sunday League Football?

Gooners played the Special Ones in the last round of the RMI, things got very heated in Highbury as the visitors came with only one thing in mind and that was to wreck both clubs seasons. FMR was livid and digusted with the obviously colour blind referee, who handed out seven yellow cards to the visitors and many are under the impression he must have left the red one in his other shorts!

Gooners still managed to put together some good football and never once rised to the bait, they led comfortably for most of the game but Special Ones would get lucky in the dieing minutes yet again and grab an undeserved equalizer final score 2 -2. Special Ones are on a good run of luck recently and will need that to continue as the manager continues to see his players suspended and injured without a care for their well being and the clubs immediate future.

Gooners boss had this to say:
"It is a bit of a joke really... I dont know what he came here looking to get out of the game, maybe to just injure our players? Quite possibly. Or maybe he is not content until all his best players are on long term suspensions and injuries? Whatever his motives I dont think they could hope to get anything other than a draw whatever the tactics he chose, and if you look at their table position they are not going anywhere and are not really being threatened with relegation.... so it seems quite amateurish to me, last game they lost Forrester who will suffer badly and the blame is only on the manager. Atleast he didnt try his long ball tactics minus... the long ball, so some credit is due. Thankfully Dennis is ok but a long term injury at this stage of season may have wrecked all the good work we did with him over the last two seasons.

In other more interesting news we have been busy on the transfer market and got one of our long term targets in Leonardo Borja, we are very happy to announce the signing. Diaby has gone in the other direction and joins Adams at Pop Punk. I think this is good business for both clubs and our differing needs have been met in my opinion. We hope to help Borja find the goal scoring form he had at Thunder Cats and Borja has stated his intentions to return to the top flight with Gooners.

Things are now starting to take shape player wise and we are only a few signings away from completing next seasons team. There are some players we are not currently happy with and Wiltord and Seaman may yet be shown the door this season for me they have not been playing at a division one standard and need to show something between now and the end of season.

As for the title we are still struggling to complete some players seasons but I hope after the next two games we will be in a good position both in the title race and more importantly in a position to field our strongest eleven. I feel that we have been playing at half strength for sometime and are still here, I hope when called upon certain players will deliver us the results we need and if so we may yet see ourselves promoted or division champions. Everything rides on how consistent the young players can be in the next two games though and we are still putting said players first, I think each line recently is proof of this.

The table gets more exciting every week and aslong as we are still in the mix by the time we can field a very strong eleven then we reamin a real threat! Next up is Kings and we are out for some revenge.. we don't have a good record against them and we look to find the result we need in that game and maybe the goals that will make the difference come the final day."

Stand Up To The Bullies

PSV going against all odds managed to secure their fair share of the points against the league leaders. Extraordinary young forward Avila was called upon to lead the line ahead of Callauto. It would seem this young PSV side are talented but lack the compuse which comes with experience to finish off games. They conceaded the equaliser just 2 minutes after taking the lead. Head Coach Kadri responded by saying
"I quite agree, we got carried away witht he goal and lost concentration. I expect this, due to their age they will have to work twice as hard to secure points which is why we probably enjoy it twice as much as anyone else."
"The season so far is good, all the average forms of our players are good. I know due to the law of 'impossible things' not every squad player will make a visible squad upgrade even tho they ought too. But all we can do is put them in the best possible position and so far we're doing well.

Greatness Go For Youngster!

Greatness have announced the signing Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, the 17 year as been taunted as the new Robert Carlos. Known for this free-kicks and his stylish play. Manager Darren Calvert as been know to turn out good youngster is this the guy that come in to replace a defense that is aging. Moreira is highly rated in Brazil and as already played again Recoba in a under 21s game.

3 Points

Arsenal took all 3 points as they beat Kirkbride Strollers 3-1 at home. All 3 strikers got in on the act and bagged a goal each in a game that saw Arsenal mantain there strong home form.

Up next is the biggest challenge of the season as Arsenal host the league leaders The Vikings. Brown is fully aware of what they can do, the question is, can he beat them? With a good record at home this season many would fancy Arsenal's chances but ths is not a game to take lightly

Another loss

Another loss brings Kensington at the brink of relegation but PatrikPatrik has mixed emotions. "I fell I'm lucky, cos everytime we lose, i.e every time we play, I look at the table to see how far down the relegation zone we are and we're always a head above it. Now we're only 3 points from absolute bottom, so that's close but maybe we'll make it even though we don't deserve it."

Ian Wright Bags a Brace on Debut

Real Madrid FC picked up their first win in 9 matches as Wright and Raul were on target to give the Spaniards a 3-1 win over OAP.

"We knew of his reputation as a great goal scorer. I think he'll be an instant fan favorite with his brace tonight" said a smiling Fred Rizzo about his newest signing Wright.

Planning

With only a few weeks left in the current season, St Omer manager Cony Tottee is already planning for next season.
Once again he hopes to do some wheeling and dealing in the transfer market, but may decide to go with a much smaller squad but train them hard.

Allstars bounce back in style

After coming undone at the hands of the current league leaders and champions elect acording to Joshy, his side faced FCR Cressex at The Hayao Miyazaki Stadium. But how would the Anime Allstars handle defeat for the first time in 3 weeks ?

Simple they would walk out onto The Hayao Miyazaki Stadium turf and give it 100% much to the delight of Joshy...

From kick-off Anime Allstars FC would set the tempo and it would be a fast pace. FCR Cressex simply could not keep up in the early exchanges. Just 3 minutes in and Anime Allstars FC were off to a dream start making it 1-0. Kugen Tenko headed home for the hosts following a dream cross from Misaki Kurehaa. Anime Allstars FC would continue their assult on goal and on the 7th minute the home side doubled their lead making it 2-0. Again Kugen Tenko finding the back of the net as Luna Gusuku set her up on a swift counter strike. Anime Allstars FC continued to run the show in the first half as it finished 2-0.

Anime Allstars FC started the second half just like the first half and 4 minutes into the second half they made it 3-0. This time Chobits Chii set up Colin Crouch who unleashed a fine ranged shot. Anime Allstars FC continued to press and on the 66th minute they made it 4-0. Now Colin Crouch set up Johnny Douglas who drilled home the 4th goal for the home side. FCR Cressex fluffed their only real chance in the second half and Kugen Tenko missed a few good chances to grab a hat-trick. When full time sounded FCR Cressex looked happy to walk off as it finished 4-0, had the host brought their shooting boots the score could of easily been double. Later on a pleased Joshy gave these comments and a shock announcement...

" Its very pleasing to bounce back following our first defeat in 9 games. We bossed this game from start to finish and to be honnest i was expecting more from FCR Cressex but you have to give manager Villan_RAS credit few managers would be brave enough to try a 4-3-3 offensive style away from home. As sweet as this victory is our greatest challenge this season is before us not behind us as we face the most important match of the season so far. We have to travel to the Hoppitop ground and face a strong team in the form of Crimson Tigers. If we can overcome them then we have a real good shot at promotion but if we draw or loose its game-over for promotion. If manager Paulc333 thinks we are going there to play for the draw he better think again for we have nothing to loose as they are expected now to be promoted.

On a sad note i have the sad job of informing our fans and supporters that Kugen Tenko decided she wants to retire at the end of the season. We got wind of a young talent and Kugen Tenko offered her slot in the club to the young gun who jumped at the chance. Kugen Tenko made her mind up following our 4-0 victory, saying she wanted to end her career on a high she will be missed but will continue to help the club train for the remainder of the season but is no longer in the sqaud.

Guti Piles on Misery for RMFC

Club captain Guti Hernandez, 34 years of age, has announced that he will not extend his contract and hasdecided that he will retire.

The news comes as a blow as the club aren't in the best financial situation and will need to find a cheap solution for a replacement for the experienced midfielder.

Thunder and Vikings Strike Twice

ThunderCats produced a strong home performance but had to settle for a point against a resolute The Vikings. With the visitors having opened up a three-point gap at the top they were keen not to slip-up bit they had to withstand a positive home display. Justin Portway got the visitors off to a perfect start with a thumping long range shot on five minutes. Aris Almanidis would then go close with a free-kick before Luca Tonizu wasted the home side’s first chance by shooting wide. Portway was back on the attack moments later but his shot was thwarted by Magro and ThunderCats might have capitalised but Tonizu’s free-kick struck a post. Tonizu had a further effort on 32 minutes but Raasch made a save before Portway put a chip over at the other end. Matias Rascao would fail with a low strike as ThunderCats tried to level before the break and Tonizu wasted the last chance by hitting a free-kick too close to Raasch. The second-half saw the home side continue to create chances and Tonizu came close to levelling but saw the ‘keeper turn his effort round. The equaliser finally arrived on 61 minutes with Tonizu getting his goal from the spot but minutes later they were behind once more as Portway curled a powerful shot in from some distance. However, the home side wouldn’t be disheartened and Carlos Partini saw a mishit shot strike a post as they went back on the attack. Juliano Leite did level on 74 minutes, though, as he connected sweetly with a diving header and only Raasch stopped it from being 3-2 to the hosts by tipping over a Tonizu looping header. The Vikings’ day got more difficult on 85 minutes as Portway saw red for a piece of brutal play and Placido Polo might have made them pay but mishit a shot when ideally placed. Nevertheless, the two-time champion side had produced a fine display against the champions-elect to earn a point. Baz78 will have been delighted with the performance of his side and will expect nothing less than this as the season ends as they bid to secure third spot. Eaglesrjh was happy that the retirements caused him ‘no trouble’ and will now focus on securing the title for his men.

Totaalvoetbal moved back to within a point at the top with a 4-0 victory over Real Madrid. Having stumbled in their last encounter the home side went into this one knowing nothing less than a win would suffice if their title hopes were to remain alive. Pierre van Diemen brought an excellent reflex save out of Adan early on from a brilliant volley before Antonello Ballarin did give the hosts the lead with a fine penalty on seven minutes. Edwin Hayter might have added a second moments later but saw his header strike a post while Shirsh Vajpayee’s header was held by Adan. Madrid did see Esteban Granero volley too close to Leemans but they would be 2-0 behind on 25 minutes as Ballarin curled home a free-kick. Pablo Sarabia would also have an effort for the visitors but his chip missed the target and they went in with it all to do. The second-half continued on the same pattern with Ballarin netting his hat-trick goal with a clinical header. Striker van Diemen would see another volley saved before a breakaway move ended with Ballarin chipping in his and his side’s fourth of the day. Ballarin might have added a fifth but his shot brushed a post and Totaal finished on a downer as Johan Juffing saw red for elbowing. Nevertheless, Totaal had secured an important three points although Robin Meeblind still said ‘The Vikings are in the driving seat, no question.’ FredRizzo will be hopeful of more than this as the season enters the final straight and they will need better performances if they are to avoid the drop.

OAP Pop Punk recorded a vital win at the bottom end of the table as they edged Yorkshires Amateurs 1-0 at George at Asda Pop Punk Park. With both sides having shown strong form recently a close encounter was expected and it delivered nothing less. Cedric Roussell gave Pop Punk an ideal opening by lobbing home on eight minutes to the despair of the visitors. Habib Bowser would also try to lob in for the hosts but his effort struck the angle and the score remained 1-0 at the break. The Amateurs would be better after the break but Hugo Smallwood headed wide before Andrew Potts put a free-kick off-target as they slipped to a damaging defeat. Paddy declared that his side ‘could finish as high as third’ but he will also be keeping a watchful eye on the relegation zone. Danlufc13 will be disappointed by this defeat but if they can find a couple of wins over the next few games they could still escape the dreaded drop.

Kirkbride would also pick up an important win down near the bottom of the table as they outplayed Santos to come away with a 2-0 win. With both sides uncomfortable in their position they were eager not to give ground to the other but it would be the home side who would emerge as the dominant force. The game would have a quiet opening but Kirkbride did breathe a sigh of relief when Robbie Mitchell’s mishit shot was disallowed due to a dubious offside decision. Mark Blacklock would then be presented with a chance at the other end but he too mishit his shot before Richard Weston chipped over before the break. Kirkbride would find a more clinical nature to their finishing after the break, though, and took the lead on 59 minutes when Weston placed beyond Rodenas following a smart breakaway. This looked to have become two on 72 minutes with Billy Maneater looping home a header only to have his celebrations cut short due to another strange offside call. However, they would get their second goal with time running out as Blacklock produced an excellent chip in the area to seal the win for the home side. The win will be crucial to Jazza’s hopes of keeping his side up and they face an important trip to Arsenal on Tuesday. Sean7 was recently reported to have a desire for his side ‘to go back to the offensive football that fans are accustomed to seeing’ but it remains to be seen whether they can do this against The Vikings on Friday.

West Brom and Arsenal were involved in a tight 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns as things remained close in the top division. With neither side safe from the drop points were all-important and would result in a cagey encounter. A free-kick on six minutes saw Jesse Pennington bring a fine save out of Aitkin in the visiting goal but the defender would get his revenge on 25 minutes by thumping another set-piece beyond the ‘keeper to give West Brom the advantage. Arsenal would recover in the second-half to create a chance of their own; Francesc Fabregas shooting home in the area following a corner. This goal would be enough for a point and pleased DomBrown who had played some youth players in the encounter. DD will look to keep his side in the division before hoping for a return to glory next term.

White Hawk and Stanley were also involved in a draw in the days other match as they shared four goals at White Stadium. Having endured a troubled week, Stanley were looking for three points to ease relegation fears while Hawk were waiting for the inevitability of relegation after finding themselves some points adrift. A free-kick on five minutes saw Matts Wallman curl an effort high over the bar before Luke Riou powered in the opener from distance to give Stanley the lead. Hawk’s response was an Adan Donahue free-kick which needed saving by Hessbo while Urby Jerome had a powerful finish ruled out for offside. Ryan Dharmsingh did level on the stroke of half-time, though, with a looping header from a fine cross and the sides would go in at 1-1. Stanley would look to reassert themselves after the break but Riou saw a lob come back off the bar rather unfortunately. Riou would get a second goal on 66 minutes with another clean strike from distance but Dharmsingh quickly levelled once more with a clinical strike in the area two minutes later. Per-Elvis Granander had a shot saved for the visitors while Wallman put a free-kick well-over as Stanley tried to hit the front once more. Meanwhile, Donahue had a couple of free-kick efforts at the other end but was denied comfortably by Hessbo and the sides would go away with a point each. Hooraymee will be planning for life in Division One unless a miracle occurs while Markham33 will be happy to have picked up another point and will look to put relegation fears to bed with a win against the Amateurs on Friday.

Ben Brace Boosts Bonkers

Bonkers produced the standout performance in Division Two as they edged Smurftastic Smurfs by the odd goal in seven. With both sides having enjoyed a victory in their last outing confidence was high that the contest would be an exciting one. The game enjoyed a breathtaking start as Benjamin Hawke blasted home a penalty to put Bonkers ahead. Ernie Ormondroyd was quickly into the action at the other end, too, but he couldn’t direct his free-kick on target and the chance passed. Meanwhile, Joel Weymouth hit the bar with a fine looping header for the hosts and they paid for this missed chance as Ormondroyd levelled from the spot for the Smurfs on 13 minutes. Jimmy McGinnity would then complete the turnaround by heading home accurately five minutes later although Weymouth quickly shot home for the hosts to square things up once more. Incredibly, Innocenzio Filippinetti would place beyond Bogefeldt to put the hosts 3-2 ahead on the half-hour as the contest showed no signs of slowing down. Finlay MacCleir couldn’t head the Smurfs level a minute later and they would then see Pietro Di Fabio hit a free-kick off a post at the other end as Bonkers threatened once more. The second-half saw Bonkers pushed back for large periods but they would strike first again with Hawke netting his second penalty of the day to open up a two-goal lead. Ormondroyd immediately set about trying to get his side back into the match and he had already put a shot over by the time he cracked home a free-kick to make it 4-3. There was still time for the Smurfs to have chances to level the contest but Ormondroyd headed narrowly wide before Rory Derek mishit his shot when well-placed and saw it trickle off-target. Ultimately, the points belonged to the home side with GarethLloyd admitting his side were ‘in a good stride at the moment.’ Smurfs News declared that the side ‘wasn’t playing like they deserve promotion’ at the moment.

Splott Rovers couldn’t capitalise on the Smurfs slip-up as they were defeated 1-0 at AJ Rovers. With Rovers enduring a two-match winless run they were keen to get one over on the champions-elect and they would deliver a fine first-half performance to earn the points. Their first chance came on 18 minutes and Donovan Bronach wouldn’t disappoint with a clinical strike to give Rovers the lead. Bronach would fare rather more unluckily with his next two efforts as a powerful shot smashed the woodwork before a precise header brushed a post as Rovers had to settle for a one-goal half-time lead. Splott were better after the break and saw Frank Punisher go close with a powerful low shot on 55 minutes. However, they were then stunned by a red card to Kurt Nightcrawler for dangerous play although they would recover to force a couple of late chances. Eddie Venom would shoot wide when presented with an opportunity before Reed Fantastic’s free-kick was gathered by Hodges. This would prove their final chance as Carbonmonoxide’s side slipped to defeat but he will still be in confident mood ahead of the season finale. Rothion will be confident of promotion too as his side sit just three points behind third spot and have shown they are more than a match for anyone in the division on their day.

Pahang United kept hold of third with a 2-0 home win over Carthage FC. With both sides harbouring promotion hopes this match would be crucial to them and both would create chances in a fairly open encounter. Carthage would have the first chances but Amin Mansourian’s header would go wide before Hasdrubal Gisco’s half-volley unfortunately struck the bar. Pahang would then stun the visitors by netting from their first chance; Kilian Strongbow arrowing a free-kick into the top corner to beat Dido. Romeo Hogg would see a volley go over before Strongbow brushed a post with a powerful shot moments later as Pahang looked for more goals. The second-half began with a Strongbow free-kick which Dido caught comfortably although Hamilcar Barca couldn’t capitalise as he put a header off-target at the other end. Caleb Spencer would also put a chance over as he got too much on a lob and their finishing woes would continue with Mansourian’s diving header being tipped over by Hussain. They would be dealt a further blow when Delis Eribenne was sent-off for stamping and Pahang sealed the win when Tom Hording rounded Dido to slot home for 2-0. Dirk Heller would see a late curled shot go wide but Pahang had done more than enough to secure three points. Strongbow met with press following the win to state his belief that they ‘have the better team and player form’ as they enter the stretch. Blakey’s side continue to be marooned in mid-table with the chance to be involved at either end; a home match against AJ might give us more indication as to which it will be.

F.C. Greatness made sure the pressure remained on the sides occupying the promotion slots with a 2-1 away win at Cardiff City. With City needing the points for differing reasons to Greatness a keenly-contested encounter was anticipated but it would be the visitor’s first-half showing which would win the day. A free-kick in the very first minute saw Faust Baronchelli blast Greatness ahead and immediately quieten the home crowd. City would respond with an ambitious bicycle kick by Evandro Lemos but Calvert would save comfortably to ensure the visitors remained ahead. City would have the next chance too with Chano Paya blasting an effort against a post while Peyton saved well from a Dunstan Valenzia chip at the other end. Peyton could do nothing to prevent Greatness from going 2-0 up, though, as Baronchelli powered in another stunning strike on the stroke of half-time. The second-half would start slowly before Osorio Sao headed home to bring the hosts back into the contest on 62 minutes. However, it would be the visiting side who would react better to this goal and Baronchelli was only denied a hat-trick by a good save from Peyton. The striker would be denied once more late on as his powerful shot was kicked away but, nevertheless, he had proved the match-winner for the promotion chasing side. Darren Calvert will be as confident as always that his side will eventually break into the top three and secure promotion but they face a tough match next as the leaders come to town. Uwfb has more concerning problems having slid into the bottom three making their match at Bonkers on Friday crucial to their hopes.

AC Milan renewed hope of beating the drop as they won 2-1 at African Imitators. Having won their last game, Milan travelled in good heart and their confidence would be well-placed as they earned a hard-fought victory. The first-half would be a relatively quiet affair with just a chance each; Gregorio Scalabrini’s mishit shot striking a post for the visitors before a free-kick saw Fabian Delph hit the ball wide of the target for Imitators. After the break Milan took the initiative with Paddy McCarthy flicking a header home although their joy would be short-lived. A penalty was awarded by Al Reddy and Sayeef Handez duly netted to level the contest once more. The Imitators then looked to turn the game on its head but Savo Milosevic saw his powerful low shot strike a post and Milan gained in confidence from this moment. Vittorio Cornacchini would force Handez into a fine save from a powerful header but there was nothing the ‘keeper could do to prevent Lorenzo De Gasperi from looping home a header in injury-time to deliver three critical points to the visiting side. Xmensch will be delighted with his side’s fighting spirit and confidence will be growing in the camp that they can pull off the great escape. The Imitators will still have promotion hopes but Gravitons will know his side need to perform better in the coming matches.

Bumerang picked up a vital point in their battle at the bottom as they shared four goals in an entertaining game with Kensington Boys Club. With Kensington also nervously looking over their shoulder this game took on great importance at the bottom of Division One. A penalty on three minutes gave Rikard Lind the chance to fire Bumerang in front and he wouldn’t disappoint. A period of quiet followed before a breakaway saw Guy Dalton place the ball just wide for the visitors. Dorian Lonsdale would fare better, though, as his excellent effort from distance defeated Stancu to ensure the sides would go in level at the break. There would be more action after the break with Lind putting a free-kick narrowly wide for the hosts before another set-piece effort saw him beat Lorentzen to restore Bumerang’s advantage. However, KBC would fight back and a thumping low drive by Adrian Gray levelled the game on 75 minutes. Yves Vairelles tried to put Bumerang back in front but failed to direct his header well-enough while Lind put a free-kick too close to the ‘keeper. Joseph Heffer would go closest to winning the game for the home side but his half-volley hit the angle and KBC escaped. Indeed, Dalton might have won the game for them but put his chip over the bar and the sides had to settle for a point each. Coolbooy will be relatively pleased with his side’s point but will know they need to keep on performing to give themselves any chance. Patrik has come under increasing pressure recently but the fans retain faith that their talented manager will lead them to the promised land in the not too distant future.

Billy Bobs in to Beat Bully Boys

Division Two continued to tighten up as the top sides enjoyed differing fortunes. Leading side, Bully Boys would suffer a 2-0 reverse at FC Bayern Munchen to put their leadership under severe threat. With a defeat last time out the Boys knew their lead was getting slimmer but they were powerless to prevent another loss as Munchen eased to a much-deserved triumph. The home side started positively but Billy Bob’s powerful shot was saved by Kangashaka. However, they would hit the front on 21 minutes as Uncle Sam blasted home from a tight angle to the delight of the sold-out home crowd. Billy Ray Bongle would then strike a post as they looked to kill off the visitor’s hopes. They needn’t have worried, though, as the Boys only effort was an Aatu Vuokki goal which was chalked off for handball on 49 minutes. Munchen would seal their win on 61 minutes when Bob rounded Kangashaka to slot home. The win keeps Dimentis’ side in promotion contention and after three consecutive wins they will be positive about a happy ending. Cath recently admitted to putting priorities into ‘form’ but he will be feeling the pressure as the season enters its crucial phase.

These Charming Men would draw level on points at the top with a 0-0 home draw against Abu Dhabi United. With Abu Dhabi in stunning recent form, TCM knew this was going to be a tough contest and they received nothing less. TCM did have the better of the first 45 minutes but Linus Streicher would head wide before he also put a lob off the angle as their attempts at scoring met with frustration. The second-half saw Abu Dhabi come more into the contest and Jack Wilshere put a driving shot high over the bar from their first chance. Mathew Bower would respond for the home side but his powerful low shot was kicked away by Rossell and Abu Dhabi had the chance to win the game. It would come via a set-piece move but John Butcher couldn’t direct the resultant header on target and the spoils were shared. RDCM declared himself ‘happy with that’ and will now concentrate on picking up the relevant points for promotion and even the title. Talinmer will be delighted with the run his side are on and will look for more points against Crimea on Friday.

Gooners would capitalise on the top two dropping points as they secured a 3-1 win at Juventus. Having enjoyed a good recent run, Gooners’ focus has sharpened and they knew nothing less than a win would do at Juve. They would never look in danger of failing either as Dennis Bergkamp powered in a header on 10 minutes to put them in front. David Rocastle would put a header of his own over moments later while a third headed effort was saved by Tonetto from Thierry Henry. They would finally double their lead on 20 minutes, though, as Rocastle produced a stunning diving header to beat Tonetto. Juve would pull a goal back from their first chance as Jacobo Chacros rounded Seaman to make it 2-1 on 24 minutes. Alberto Morante looked to have levelled on 37 minutes but his goal was rightly chalked off for offside and they would go in a goal behind. The second-half saw Gooners look to re-establish their two-goal lead and Nicolas Anelka had a header disallowed on 65 minutes before Bergkamp volleyed wide. Bergkamp would make it 3-1 on 74 minutes as he flicked a header home to give them some breathing space. Chacros would waste a chance to bring Juve back into the contest as he mishit a shot wide and they fell to defeat. FMR declared that the ‘table looks great fun’ ahead of what is sure to be an interesting run-in. SuperJuve has his side in the bottom three and knows nothing less than victories will give his side the best possible chance of survival.

Dream Team kept themselves in the promotion hunt with a powerful performance and a 2-0 home victory over The Kings. Having slipped up in their previous two games, DT were under no illusions as to the important of victory from this home match and they wouldn’t disappoint. From their first chance Warren Wish saw a half-volley saved by Fitzsimmons before Adrian Heath headed dangerously close to his own goal just before the break. DT would force even more pressure after the break and Kris Krafty hit the bar early on with a fine chip. The Kings did see Heath bring a comfortable save out of Delirious before DT exerted more pressure. Krafty would put a powerfully curled shot wide before Wish had a shot saved by Fitzsimmons as the pressure grew. Torgny Dahlqvist would be the next to try his luck but his header went centimetres wide. However, they would get their reward late on as Garry Gain found a stunning goal from distance to put them 1-0 ahead. Jamie Sinclair then saw red for a tackle from behind to make The Kings’ task even harder and they were punished when Dudley Dream curled home a free-kick deep into injury-time. @peace will be quietly confident of a strong finish to the season but a tough match awaits them next as they travel to TCM. Hitman10’s side are in poor form at the moment and they desperately need the three points against wortley on Friday.

Wortley, themselves, would fall to another heavy defeat as they were outplayed at Special Ones MKII. With Special Ones responding to their new manager this always looked a tough ask for wortley and so it proved. Ricky Routhledge would have an early header tipped over by Gareth before he shot just wide moments later. Routhledge would be denied once more on 11 minutes as Gareth gathered at his feet but Alf Ackroyd did put the home side ahead with a neat finish following a flowing breakaway. Rai Kike would see a header saved for wortley while Brandon Hiller hit over as they briefly threatened a comeback. However, it wasn’t to be and Rowley Forrester blasted home a free-kick before the break to make it 2-0. The second-half was one-way traffic as Special Ones looked for more goals. Freddy Kennedy would volley narrowly wide before Robin Barratt did make it 2-0 with a driving shot following a corner. Ackroyd would then see a lob go over before a free-kick by Forrester did make it 4-0 on 77 minutes. AJ was disappointed by an injury to Forrester which he said was ‘a big blow to our title chances.’ Thegtreatlordbags will recognise the need to start picking up wins and The Kings match on Friday becomes a definite six-pointer to both sides.

Crimea River picked up a win in the divisions other game as they defeated PSV Eindhoven 2-1 at Phillips Stadion. Having endured three games without a win, Crimea were eager to pick up three points so they could keep track on the sides above them. They would always look the more progressive side in this contest with Alex Song going close from distance on 17 minutes. Samir Nasri would put them ahead on the half-hour with a thumping strike from inside the area and they would keep this lead at the break. Fran Merida would quickly have them 2-0 ahead after the interval with a fine lob from distance although Claudio Colluato had the game back in the melting pot just after the hour with a stunning free-kick. Albery Mojnar had a curled shot pushed round as the visitors looked to assert themselves once more while Andrey Arshavin was wayward with a free-kick. Nevertheless, Crimea had secured a vital win and will now travel to Abu Dhabi looking for more points on Friday. Crimea News was happy that the side had ‘finally managed to finish a match with the same eleven that took to the field’ and they will hope for similar consistency on Friday. Kadri will already be looking forward to next season where he will, hopefully, reap the rewards of his development work.

Diego Spurs EspAda to 3 Points

EspAda kept their lead at the top of Division Three by marching to a 4-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur. Having hit the top a few games ago, EspAda haven’t looked back with consecutive wins and their run wasn’t to stop there. Patric Torebring would waste an early headed chance and would then suffer further misfortune as his chip struck the bar. However, Diego Maradona would curl them into the lead on 26 minutes before Andreas Sommer saw a header saved by Gomes. Maradona would go close to making it 2-0 before the break but his shot went over and they had to settle for a slender goal advantage. This didn’t dent their confidence, though, and Sommer had an early free-kick brush a post. A period of quiet followed but Tottenham’s day got worse when Wilson Palacios was sent-off for arguing and Sommer capitalised by making it 2-0 moments later. EspAda then struck again with Torebring placing home an accurate effort before Sommer rifled a free-kick over. The last word would be left to Maradona who added his second of the day by rounding Gomes before slotting home. Crismorena’s side have nearly clinched promotion but having hit the heights of first they will be looking to clinch the title as well. Ocs will be hoping his side can avoid the wooden spoon at the end of the season but their next match looks tough as they travel to Morley.

Morley themselves would keep the pressure on EspAda with a comprehensive 6-0 win against St Omer. Morley were hoping to continue their recovery from a mini-blip a few games ago to maintain hope of winning a first ever league title. Maart Kuiper gave them the perfect start by blasting home from distance before Helder Velez side-footed straight at Rain. Zacharias Ashe would force Rain into another fine save after a super strike from range but they would have their second goal shortly afterwards as Mitchell Pennock lobbed home from inside the area. Ashe would steer a shot wide on 25 minutes before Omer wasted a chance to get back into the game with Cony Tottee having a penalty saved. Morley would capitalise with Ashe producing a diving header out of the top drawer to make it 3-0 before Kuiper placed home a header of his own on 34 minutes. A penalty allowed them to make it 5-0 before the break as Florian Arnautu comfortably blasted home and Angres Kafka might have added another but saw his header saved. The second-half proved much quieter although Sankharib Rafou did have a goal chalked off for the visitors due to offside on 50 minutes. Morley would have the final say, though, as Arnautu lobbed home a header in injury-time to put the seal on a 6-0 victory. Leeg21 was already looking ahead to making ‘it three wins on the bounce against Tottenham’ as they look to win the title. CT recently explained that he is ‘just hoping that (he) can get all of (his) young players up to the 100% required’ and that will remain the plan for the remaining few fixtures.

Crimson Tigers maintained their grip on third with a keenly-fought 2-1 success at Alsancak. Going into the game on the back of five straight wins the Tigers were in fine form but they needed to be to hold off a competitive home side. The Tigers began by seeing Dan Ruffer head wide before they did take the lead on 17 minutes courtesy of a Miroslav Burkhart penalty. However, this lead would be short-lived as Rory Burston delivered from the spot for the hosts to level matters. Kendrick Osmond tried to restore the lead for Crimson but saw a header blocked by Frost before Andrew Taylor had a free-kick saved at the other end. Mark Noble would then waste an opportunity for the hosts before the break by blasting a shot wide and the sides would go in level. The second-half began with Taylor putting another free-kick just wide before the Tigers assumed control once more with Ruffer chipping home to make it 2-1. Burkhart would put a chip just over as they attempted to seal the win and they would then come under a little bit of late pressure. Taylor would see another free-kick miss the target before Noble steered a shot well-wide as Alsancak came up short. Paul declared himself ‘happy, happy, happy’ with the win before explaining that ‘any kind of result against Anime on Friday should guarantee promotion.’ Wienersnitzel will be more concerned with his player’s averages before the all-important season update kicks in.

Anime kept their hopes of promotion alive with a comfortable 4-0 success against Cressex. Coming off a defeat last time out, Anime knew they couldn’t afford any more if they were to maintain their chance of an impressive promotion. In truth, it never looked in doubt with Naru Narusegawa striking the woodwork early with a fine looping header. They would take the lead on three minutes, though, as Kugen Tenko flicked home an accurate header and only four minutes later the same player chipped home a second goal. Johnny Douglas would strike a post as they looked for more goals and a diving header by Colin Crouch needed saving by Martinzon. The second-half saw more Anime pressure with Sonsaku Hakufu chipping just over before Crouch made it 3-0 with a stinging strike from distance. Tenko saw a chip turned over before Douglas curled home a powerful shot on 66 minutes to make it 4-0. A free-kick saw Tenko shoot just over while Douglas mishit his shot terribly when well-placed. Cressex’s sole effort came courtesy of Tomas Tiribocchi but he shot well-over and they ended up comfortably beaten. Joshy will be pleased with the win despite recently admitting he ‘highly expects the top 3 clubs to be promoted.’ Villan_RAS will be hoping for a strong end to the season before embarking on an important silly season.

AFC Boo Boys moved up to fifth with a 2-1 home success against Rolling Thunder. With both sides coming into the contest on the back of defeats they were looking for an improvement in fortune in this clash. A penalty gave Boo Boys the ideal start with Michal Handzus stroking home coolly to put them in front. Jovan Gagic, though, would volley in a spectacular equaliser just five minutes later as the game exploded into life. Thunder would then see Erland Hangeland waste a lobbed chance and they would find themselves behind for a second time as Ross Scott powered in a thumping strike from distance. The second-half would only see a chance for either side; Ludo Cappellacci hitting wide for the visitors before Derek Armstrong ballooned a header over at the other end. However, the home side wouldn’t be disappointed by this missed chance as they held on for three points. Skoolyou will be wanting as positive a finish to the season as possible to put them in good spirits ahead of next term. Vehusheia will be stressing the important to his players of maintaining good form ahead of the update which will, hopefully, put them in a stronger position ahead of the new campaign.

In the other game of the day Reggae Reggae Sauce drew 1-1 with Pink Bus Riders FC at Sauce Bottle Arena. With both sides at the wrong end of the table a classic wasn’t expected with Sauce putting out the familiar no-subs line-up. The visitors had the first chance with Eliott Malloy striking a post with a powerful strike. They would enjoy more luck from their next effort, though, as Fabrizio Gualtieri met a cross with a diving header to put them 1-0 ahead. The second-half would see PBS continue to see more of the chances but they would be hit by a sucker-punch. A free-kick on 46 minutes saw Stephane Aoudou hit a post for PBS before Gualtieri put a shot over the bar. Sauce would then strike from their only chance as Kevin Campbell toe-poked home in amongst some shoddy defending. Still, PBS had the chance to win the game but Costas Abadiotakis fluffed his lines and the game finished level. However, upon his arrival in the league Killie_gers had explained he doesn’t ‘give a toss about football, my team or results’ so this failure to pick up three points shouldn’t unduly worry him. A similar reaction is likely to be found at Xpertelevener’s office as he looks forward to next season in the hope he will remember to pick a team and subs.

riot act read

The smurf has made it clear to the Smurftastic Smurfs players that recent performances have not been good enough, all players have been forced to watch video replays of some horror moments in recent matches in the hope that it might make a few of them sit up and take some notice and start playing like they deserve promotion cos at the moment they are not!

Strongbow Confident

Said to press just now, Strongbow was very confident that his team Pahang United able to grab the 3 points against African team in their next fixtures.

From my point of view, we have better team and player form compare to them. The promotion chances still open for every team and I'm put some hope on that. FC Greatness and AJ to close and tomorrow is the time for us to create some barrier.

Storngbow now leading the top scorer for div 1 and hoping that he can get at least 1 goal tomorrow.

Triumph and Disaster for Totaal

Totaalvoetbal enjoyed a strange week as they continued their chase for a second RM Invitational title.

A 5-0 home win against AFC Stanley was the perfect way to begin the week in a dominant performance. Edwin Hayter, William Ralph Dean, Johan Juffing, Pierre van Diemen and Antonello Ballarin all netted in a strangely one-sided game against old friends.

Totaal would fare less well against another of their friendly rivals on Friday, though, as Yorkshires Amateurs dug deep to secure a hard-earned point. Despite creating all of the chances Totaal would see the woodwork, poor finishing and some dogged home defending cost them two vital points.

They would return to form against an under-prepared Madrid side on Tuesday, though, to move back to within a point of first. The hero was Ballarin who netted four times to secure a routine win for the Orange men.

However, this win was marred by an injury to Dean which will see him miss three games and a sending-off to Juffing which rules him out of their next match.

We caught up with Robin Meeblind to find his thoughts on events:

‘Well, it’s still advantage Eagles and The Vikings from what I can see,’ he began.

‘I believe they have the easier run-in and our match is to be played at Viking Land where they have an incredible record. Add to that the injury to Dean, who has been our most consistent performer this season, and we still have it all to do.

‘I’m sure Eagles will be concerned by Portway’s absence too and youth he needs to play so it is a case of swings and roundabouts there I guess and we will both have our concerns.

‘Maybe a little luck will swing it one way or the other. We’ll see.’

Gooners Gossip

It's that time again when we grab the thoughts of the Gooners boss and get his thoughts on all things Gooners & RMI!

Q: As we enter the last phase of the season and after recent results, how do you see things unfolding in division two?

A: That is a very tricky question; I think there will still be a cruel twist in the tale of this season, previously I have been quoted as saying Dream Team would be in the mix for a top three finish. I still believe this to be true although their next game is very tough, but for them to even be in a position to break the top three is some achievement in itself considering the points deficit the manager had to regain. The other surprise package is Bayern they have been very strong at home and have a real chance if they can find something massive in their last two games of the season and stay consistent. It is an exciting time and everything will be decided in the big fixtures between the top five, every week two teams will be under immense pressure it will be whoever deals with that best, first up is Charming and Dream Team is a very tough one to call.

Q: So you’re saying the current top three will not be the same three promoted at the end of the season?

A: That is correct, I said from the start it will be the teams that can deal with everything a season can throw at you and we are still a long way from the end and cracks are beginning to show. At Gooners for instance we are struggling with experience as we already began preparing for next season. I think the same can be said for all of the current top three, the teams lining up in recent games are not the same dominant forces we saw at the start of the season.

Q: Looking at the remaining fixtures and your current position, after being written off some time ago many now have Gooners down as favourites to win. How would you assess your chances?

A: I would agree the fixture list now favours us, having already played Charming and Bullies... normally I would look down that fixture list and say Dream Team is the only major hurdle to get over. As I said though we are very much an unknown currently, Lipscombe, Anelka and Diaby who has yet to kick a ball will all feature in almost every game. If they can find the kind of performances we need and we manage our form well maybe we can stay with the pack or even challenge for silverware, the best way to explain it is my influence is now limited and it will be down to the eleven on the pitch to be at their best.

Q: Do you consider this season to be a successful one?

A: Very much so yes, we had a fantastic start to the season and got some fantastic results along the way! Obviously we lost the odd point here and there but we are still in the race because of the results in the big fixtures, Bayern away and Bullies away stick out in my mind, this along with our consistent home record has made the difference. Results aside I think Gooners is now in a terrific position, the development of our more experienced players is looking very good! It is important to us to remain one of the strongest teams in the league whilst bringing new talents through and in this aspect I feel we have made big advances this season. Also for the first time since arriving here we have a healthy bank balance and we have done some very good business during the season with regards to transfers. Lastly when you look at the young players we have brought in this season alongside those I kept here, I think it is obvious that we are looking for that something extra special in our players that makes this team so exciting.

Q: Can you talk about any transfers you may be making in the near future?

A: Of course yes, it is no secret we still plan to make some very big changes! As mentioned previously we now have some funds from sales etc and the board has agreed to spend big this summer. As for players leaving, this will be the last season for Ljungberg we are looking to bring in another player very similar to Fabregas ... by that I mean young, highly skilled and with a lot of qualities. We also seek another more experienced midfielder and currently have been enquiring after Borja at Pop Punk, talks are ongoing but those would be the kind of players we are seeking currently. We also have no dead ball specialist currently although Bergkamp can hit them; we are making it a priority that both players have this quality. Obviously some players will need to go to make space and now is the time they need to put in performances if they wish to stay! As for adding more youth to the squad it is not something I’m keen on currently although my hand may be forced to add another defender or two. So as you can see the objective for us is to add more strength while maintaining a good balance of young players, unlike some other teams who seem hell bent on dismantling their teams completely we are only interested in taking steps forwards!

Q: Any other teams or managers or players that have impressed you this season?

A: Where to begin... top of the list has to be Crimson Tigers they have been fantastic to follow this season and I wish them all the best as they attempt to finish on a high. I think Abu Dhabi also deserve a mention although I don’t think they can get amongst the promotion places they have had an excellent season under Talinmer. Dhabi’s future now looks bright under Talinmer and I will certainly be following them next season with great interest. I think the major Kudos has to go to Eagles and the Vikings though that is a very tough division and Vikings are certainly not the strongest team so to have led this long is quite amazing. Whether they can hold on with Total hounding them every step is another matter, but I hope so it would be unexpected and good for the league possibly. As for players, my view maybe be biased but Dennis Bergkamp has somehow found another gear and for me he is the best player in the league by some distance, I sometimes dread to think what he may have been like now had the previous manager taken proper care of him!

Thank you for your thoughts FMR, until next time and good luck with your remaining games.

BONKERS

Yes, we are Bonkers. We are into a good stride at the moment. We beat those blue fellows, the smurf-a-lots, today. Taking us out of the relegation zone. As usual we created havoc with the poor managers heart. Top player was Sutton, why? he hasnt played a good game all season. but he played well but didnt score or assist. But two good goals from the penalty spot did help a lot. and scored by the goalkeeper, well done to him. But training is still full ball as one slip up will put us in the relegation zone again, where as more wins will drag us up to mid table. Lets hope it is mid table, who would have thought.

The Game's Afoot, What's On?

Crimea River finally managed to finish a match with the same starting eleven that took to the field in a 2-1 triumph over table bottomers PSV Eindhoven.

Samir Nasri and Carl Spegel grabbed the goals for the visiting side while freekick missing machine Andrei Arshavin missed his squajillionth freekick of the season. Claudio Collauto grabbing the consolation for the home side from, yes, a freekick.

But the real talking point was the Crimea River post match conference...
"Yes, there were a few harsh statements by some slavering nutjob stating the patently obvious bandied about pre match," intoned the Crimea River head coach, "but to those people I can only recount the old tale of the Easter Bunny."
"Once upon a time the Easter Bunny put all his chocolate eggs in one basket. Unfortunately, due a disastrous clerical error, Santa delivered all the chocolate eggs for Halloween. Proving that a bird in the hand is indeed worth two in the china shop. Which should hopefully clear everything up."
"But I am not here today to talk about rumours of any relationship with fellow manager Kilie_gers sister, Kelie_gers. Though I can confirm we did spend a wonderful evening at the Cock in Hand. Chaperoned by Kilie_gers of course. Well, at least until the unfortunate incident where our waiter, upon serving a small ball of assorted fine breads, suggested that Kilie might like a knob of butter. Police may or may not have been involved but I think it is safe to assume Kilie will be out of jail in no time."
"Kilie and I did, however, have some opportunity to discuss some matters regarding goings on in the RMI and came to the conclusion that this is a league full of Collosi. Titans. Olympians you could say. MANagers here strut around like they own Mount Olympus itself.”
“Kilie and I both feel that these MANagers should test themselves against each other in a series of sporting events and, inspired by the recent Winter Olympics, which we are proud to announce the first ever RMI Commonwealth Games."
"The inaugural games will be held soon and, as is tradition, the ceremony will open with the throwing of a caber. Kilie and I discussed this at length and both agree that the honour of lobbing the first trunk should fall to the biggest tosser in the league, Ajtrader100."
"Following the opening ceremony MANagers will participate in a spelling bee which, to reflect the multi-nationality of the league, will include words from all languages. Translated into English. Certainly an event to get all the cunning linguists out there a little hot under the collar."
"Next up a harrowing trial to test the mettle of all in the Urinating Up a Wall competition. An event where bookies favourite Cathalio11 should find himself pushed hard by the challenge of up-and-comer FMRealism. A man himself making RMI Commonwealth Games history as he represents both Gooners and Dream Team in all events."
"And to round things off the eagerly anticpitated Cock fighting competition where, controversially, gold medal contendors Cocks18 and Supergayschlongman have been paired against each other in the opening round. While this pairing may have been the purists choice for the final the air is heavy with the sweat of anticipation as crowds look forward to seeing these two proud, and slightly effeminate, men strut to the ring with their magnificent cocks clutched tightly in their hands."
"At least I know I am," concluded the River head coach.

And with that Ithaqua left to whisk Kelie_gers away to parts unknown muttering something about “landing a Martian probe on Venus.”

Meanwhile reporters were taken to the Theatre of Tragedy training grounds for a sneak peak at recently bailed Kilie_gers Games preparation with several reporters reduced to tears at seeing the big man taking on and beating off some of the Crimea River youth side.

Wortley accused of deforestation

Global action to be taken against the Division 2 strugglers - Wortley feel the pressure of world leaders.

President Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy, Gordon Brown and many other members of the climate change committe today slammed Thegtreatlordbags following the actions at todays encounter with Special Ones MKII.

"It is an act that we had hoped was in our past" commented Obama.

World leaders met urgently under the terms of the Copenhagen Agreement, a rare occurance which saw the heads of state fly into a secret meeting in Barcelona. Insiders say that the threat of sanctions against the side were likely as they had "breached and violeted strict terms of the agreement".

Many had reckoned that the side could be expelled from the league, as Xpert 11's Swedish owners strive to maintain a strict envirnmental policy.

Tonight there was no comment from the Xpert 11 bosses, but wortley can be sure that if they find anything untoward about the sides actions contravening their green policies the retrobutions would be devastating.

Special Ones manager, ajtrader, made a brief statement after the match.

"I think it has been a misunderstanding".

"The fact that Forrester was hacked down, and remains in a pretty bad condition, does not amount to deforestation, however laws are laws and if wortleys actions are deemed as inappropriate then I'm not going to stand in their way."

"It took the edge off another great victory for the side today, hopefully the lad will be back to face Crimea, he's out for some time which is a big blow to our title chances."

Keeper Rain's Goal Flooded

Town News

Five first half goals and a solitary second half strike saw Morley hammer St Omer in an almost totally one-sided encounter, it took Town just a minute to open the scoring and put their mid season slump behind them.

Maart Kuiper has hardly set the Division alight since his 5.2 million econ move to Scatcherd Park in the close season but he looks like he is finally adapting to life in Morley and is starting to repay his manager with the goals he was bought to score.

It was Kuiper who opened the scoring, his long range thunderbolt giving Rain no chance, Velez and Ashe missed glorious opportunities before Mitchell Pennock grabbed his first of the season with an exquisite lob. Town ‘keeper Gaughan kept Morley’s two goal advantage with an excellent penalty save to deny Cony Tottee.

Morley made the most of their good fortune and soon added a third, the increasingly impressive Kuiper turned provider as his cross was headed past Rain by Ashe, Maart Kuiper headed a goal of his own four minutes later to take Morley into an unassailable 4-0 lead.

Town won a penalty of their own but this time the result was to be expected as Arnãutu continued the deluge of goals into Rain’s net as he converted from the spot, after the excitement of the first half the second period was a huge let-down. Only one chance was created and it took until the 91st minute for the chance to be created and it was the excellent Kuiper who set up Arnãutu to round off the scoring.

Morley face Tottenham on Friday and Leeg21’s men will be hoping to make it three wins on the bounce especially as Tottenham will be without Wilson Palacios and will have to give a late fitness test to influential defender Ledley King.

Arsenal manage draw

Arsenal DB managed to walk away from WBS with a point after a game with very few chances. WBS managed 2 shots while Arsenal managed just the 1 shot that resulted in thier goal.

Brown kept to his word and fielded 2 youth defenders, it was an uphill task from the offset with 2 youths in defense but Arsenal managed to hold off a strong WBS side and take the point.

The Vikings raid White Hawk RMI P1

The Vikings secured a win that was tougher than the result suggests against White Hawk FC. Anastasios Tassiopoulos fired The Vikings ahead in the 21st minute and a 79th minute Aris Almanidis free kick sealed the points for The Vikings in a game where White Hawk edged possession. Victory sees The Vikings extend their lead at the top. After eight consecutive victories Eaglesrjh said he was "delighted with the run we have been on"

Final score: White Hawk 0-2 The Vikings

Arsenal DB stole three points from Real Madrid thanks to Faustino Asprilla. His goal from a corner coming in the 16th minute. Despite Real Madrid having many shots Arsenal managed to withstand the pressure and seal the win. Real Madrid then saw Raul Gonzalez sent off late on which would have added to their woes. Real Madrid have signed Ian Wright and hope that he scores the goals that turns their recent run of results around. DomBrown has decided to "commit his focus on the youth players to ensure a bright future for this club."

Final score: Arsenal DB 1-0 Real Madrid

A bore draw between Santos FC and West Brom Strollers saw both sides gain a point in what is a very tight division. Santos will be the more unhappy of the two sides having created the only chances of the game and being unable to take them. Sean7 hoped his side would start to turn some of their draws into victory to stop them becoming the "new Underdogz United"

Final score: Santos FC 0-0 West Brom Strollers

Thundercats managed to keep third place in the league with victory over Kirkbride Strollers. Kirkbride took the lead in the first minute through a Malcolm Graham strike but the wake up call seemed to motivate Thundercats who equalised in the 21st minute, Raimundo Lange scoring from a corner. The winner was scored in similar fashion this time through Nélson Queimado but didn't come until the 92nd minute. Breaking Kirkbrides heart and pulling off what was a deserved win.

Final score: Thundercats FC 2-1 Kirkbride strollers

Leonardo Borja's 5th minute goal was the difference between OAP Pop Punk and AFC Stanley. Pop Punk dominated possession and created six chances to Stanleys none but Borjas long range shot was the only thing to separate the sides. The result saw Stanley stay in 5th place and Pop Punk rise to 8th.

Final score: AFC Stanley 0-1 OAP Pop Punk

Yorkshires Amateurs and Totaalvoetbal played out a fairly uneventful draw, Totaal creating all the chances but meeting a resolute Yorkshire defence. The result hampers Totaal in the title race seeing them drop 3 points off the pace while the result sees Yorkshire stay second bottom, still a few good results away from safety.

Final score: Yorkshires Amateurs 0-0 Totaalvoetbal

What is a hot splott not?

Cardiff City find themselves teetering above the relegation zone after defeat to Smurftastic Smurfs. Billion dollar player Ernie Ormondroyd proved to be the difference in this game opening the scoring with an unstoppable 56th minute free kick. Ormondroyd then showed that he isn't as good at penalties as free kicks as he missed a 69th minute penalty but then he redeemed himself and proved my point in the 86th minute with another impressive free kick sealing all 3 points. After this victory Smurfs find themselves sitting comfortably in second place and Thesmurf said he hopes that if Ernie Ormondroyd and a few other key players can stay fit that it would be enough to see his side return to the top flight. Ernie Ormondroyd is surely too good to play at this level for much longer?

Final score: Cardiff City 0-2 Smurftastic Smurfs

AC Milan gave themselves a chance of avoiding the drop with a hard fought 2-0 win over Carthage FC.
a 31st minute Bernard Lormor header put them in front and then a 63rd minute Paddy McCarthy penalty saw AC Milan take the victory in a tight game. With Milan now within 4 points of safety surely a few more results like this one could see them reach safety?

Final score: AC Milan 2-0 Carthage FC

Kensington Boys Club manager used his hatred for old players as motivation for his side as they beat African Imitators 1-0. A Maurice Jacobs penalty in the 2nd minute was the only thing to seperate the sides in what was a scrappy clash with lots of bookings. Kensington Boys Club know a few bad results could see them in the relegation zone but a few more results like this one will see them in the promotion spots. A crucial time in their season beckons. African Imitators still stand a great chance of promotion themselves but can ill afford too many more results like this one.

Final score: Kensington Boys Club 1-0 African Imitators

Bonkers hit top form and brought themselves to the edge of safety and leapfrogged their opponents with victory over Bumerang. In a dominant Bonkers performance it was Bumerang who took the lead through a 39th minute Dorian May penalty. Their lead didn't last until half time however as Stefan Beelenkamp smashed a long range shot into the Bumerang net to bring the sides level. Beelenkamp would then hobble off injured and his replacement Innocenzio Filippinetti would seal the points in the 82nd minute, scoring from a corner.

Final score: Bonkers 2-1 Bumerang

FC Greatness brought themselves level with third placed Pahang United with an impressive victory over AJ Rovers. Agostino Filippinetti scored the only goal of the game with a penalty and then marred an impressive performance by being sent off in the 75th minute. Rothion expressed disappointment with an "inconsistent performance" and vowed his side would produce better next time out in order to grab a promotion spot.

Final score: FC Greatness 1-0 AJ Rovers

A headline grabbing performance saw Splott Rovers retain their 6 point lead at the top of the division with victory over promotion chasing Pahang. Pahang took the lead in the first minute Kilian Strongbow catching Splott sleeping to fire his side ahead. Rodney Shuttlewoods first goal for the club brought Splott level in the 14th minute and a 23rd minute Frank Punisher penalty sealed the points for an impressive Splott side. Defeat sees Pahang retain their promotion spot only on goal difference and with the chasing pack so close they will need more wins to stay in the promotion reckoning. Carbonmonoxide said after the game that "it's going to take something special to stop us" and TrueBlueFC said he was disappointed with the result but conceded that Splott deserved their win.

Final score: Splott Rovers 2-1 Pahang United

Who you Gooner call?

Dream Team were mugged at home against Abu Dhabi United. Abu Dhabi have fashioned an effective side and the pulled off an impressive smash and grab raid away to Dream Team. Dream Team dominated possession but Abu Dhabi caught them on the counter attack many times. In the 51st minute Abu Dhabi would earn a penalty which Ger Wattamaleo proceeded to miss but just four minutes later Steve Worthington would fire Abu Dhabi ahead as another of their counter attacks worked, this time producing a goal. A 76th minute header from John Butcher seemed to have sealed the points for Abu Dhabi but an 81st minute header from Kris Krafty meant that Abu Dhabi couldn't relax for the last ten minutes of the game.

Final score: Dream Team 1-2 Abu Dhabi United

Gooners just edged a close game against promotion rivals Bully Boys. In a game where possession and chances were even between the two sides Gooners made their chances count and pulled off an impressive win that could have gone either way. A 7th minute Dennis Bergkamp header put Gooners into the ascendancy and when Thierry Henry's long range strike went in just two minutes before half time it seemed to be plain sailing for the Gooners. Ike Dyer made it uncomfortable for the Gooners when he scored a debut goal for Bully Boys in the 68th minute, surely a sign of things to come?
but in such a close game more chances were hard to come by for either side and the score remained as it was. FMR said despite an impressive result keeping them in the promotion hunt his focus was still on his younger players rather than promotion.

Final score: Bully Boys FC 1-2 Gooners

A tight game saw Crimea River lose ground in the promotion race to rivals and in form side, Bayern Munich. Crimea took what was a deserved lead through an own goal from Josh Redneck in the 60th minute. Their lead would only last a minute however as a Chuck Ewing header rescued Munich. Munich then became the stronger side and sealed the win with a 78th minute breakaway goal from Billy Bob.
Crimea boss Ithaqua said after the match that youth development was a priority as he was planning for long term success.

Final score: Crimea River 1-2 Bayern Munich

These Charming Men kept themselves a point off top spot with a comprehensive win over PSV Eindhoven. In a dominate performance Chano Delgado opened the scoring with a 33rd minute header. Any chance PSV had of getting back into the game went with René Maslovský missing a penalty in the 52nd minute as just two minutes later Shaun McFadden would strike to increase These Charming Men's lead. Cameron McMahon made sure of the win with an 83rd minute penalty and Stuart Cooksey then struck to make it 4-0 a minute from time. Kadri said the defeat had been "expected" and RDCM said that after this win his side were still "in the running" for the title.

Final Score: These Charming Men 4-0 PSV Eindhoven

The Kings were leapfrogged in the table by Special Ones MKII thanks to their player Alf Ackroyd who had a hand in all three of their goals. Ackroyd set up Ricky Routhledge for a 16th minute strike to put his side ahead and Ackroyd then doubled his sides lead in the 54th minute with a towering header to put them 2-0 up. The score was made 3-0 in the 86th minute when man of the match Rowley Forrester scored from an Ackroyd corner. Ajtrader100 spoke after his sides win and said that his side were now hunting down Crimea River and blamed Crimeas poor form on AJ's arrival in this league unsettling Crimea manager Ithaqua.

Final score: The Kings 0-3 Special Ones MKII

Wortley AFC gave themselves every chance of pulling out of the relegation zone with a definitive victory over Juventus. Paulinho Santos free kick on 11mins put Wortley ahead as they then proceeded to create chance after chance. The result was only assured however in the 71st minute with Brandon Hiller scoring from a counter attack to make it 2-0. After this result Wortley find themselves one point away from Juventus who sit in 10th and within only 3 points of 8th place so they have everything to play for.

Final score Wortley AFC 2-0 Juventus

Tomas masters St Omer

Sorry for the delay in producing this rounds reviews. Luckily for everyone RobinMeeblind will be back shortly to resume the reviewing duties.

Tottenham pulled themselves away from bottom spot in the division with an impressive victory over St Omer. A poachers goal from Tomas Master in the 5th minute set Tottenham on their way. Marcos Young then made it 2-0 in the 64th minute, heading in from a Michael Dawson flick on. Dawson would then blot his copybook just a few minutes later by being sent off for a second bookable offence. Despite being down to 10 men Tottenham held on and even managed to sneak a third late in the game through Wilson Palacios. Cony Tottee said after this defeat and with the season drawing to a close he just hoped to get his young players up to the experience required to improve.

Final score: Tottenham Hotspurs 3-0 St Omer

Rolling Thunder find themselves near the bottom of the division after a defeat against the continually impressive Crimson Tigers. In a straight forward victory two goals in a minute sealed the win, the first coming in the 60th minute from Miroslav Burkhart and the second coming just a minute later through Dan Ruffer in his 99th appearance for the club. Paulc333 was quoted as saying "everything is coming up Crimson"

Final score: Rolling Thunder 0-2 Crimson Tigers

It was a tale of two corners as Pink Bus Riders brought themselves to within three points of their opponents AFC Boo Boys with this solid win. The first goal came from a corner in the 49th minute, Eliott Malloy rising highest to head home for Pink Bus. Then late in the game another Pink Bus corner saw Malloy again rise highest to head home and seal the points for his side. Pink Bus Riders boss Kilie_gers was too busy writing homo erotic press releases and discussing male nudity in the scribble to comment on his sides victory.

Final score: Pink Bus Riders 2-0 AFC Boo Boys

Morley Town kept themselves within a point of top spot whilst sending Reggae Reggae Sauce back to bottom place with a comprehensive victory at Scatcherd Park. Morleys dominance showed in the 58th minute when Maart Kuiper opened the scoring with a volley after a parried corner. Hélder Velez doubled their lead just a minute later with an impressive long range shot. Then in the 88th minute Velez turned provider to help Gwilym Cullip get in on the act. Leeg21 mentioned in the press that he was pleased to see his side "return to winning ways"

Final score: Morley Town 3-0 Reggae Reggae Sauce

Anime Allstars failed to make it nine games unbeaten as they were just edged in a scrappy game away to Espada. Espada made the breakthrough in the 77th minute when Geoffrey Stiles managed to score from a break away. Joshy85 said Anime would be looking to bounce back in their next game against FCR Cressex.

Final score: Espada 1-0 Anime Allstars

FCR Cressex were involved in what many are describing as the game of the season against Alsancak F.C. The game was determined by one wonderful half and one poor half for each side. Cressex raced into a four goal lead with Cabbar Saatcioglu opening the scoring with a header in the 14th minute, which was followed up by a close range Dan-Åke Rothflod strike just three minutes later. Another header this time from Tomas Tiribocchi made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute and then ten minutes later Lauro Poggi made it four with a typical poachers goal. The second half was a different story with a Mark Noble header quickly grabbing one back for Alsancak in the 59th minute then John Burston salvaging some pride for Alsancak with a scrappy 72nd minute goal to make it 4-2. With time running out and Cressex seemingly holding Alsancak at bay it looked set to stay that way until out of nowhere in the 87th minute Burston doubled his tally with a fantastic long range strike making it 4-3. Surely it was too late for Alsancak to pull off an amazing comeback and grab a draw? Gabriel Baldwin didn't think so. His 90th minute free kick sealing a draw for Alsancak. Who would have expected that at half time?

Final score: FCR Cressex 4-4 Alsancak F.C.

Youth Players Given The Nod

Arsenal boss Brown has decided to give his youth players a good run in the team for the rest of the season.

With games running out Brown feels his team in its current state has no chance of catching the top boys this season. So he has decided to commit his focus on the youth players to ensure a bright future for this club.

tough game coming up

Splott visit AJ Rovers tomorrow night and carbonmonoxide admits this will be their biggest test for a while: "I have looked at their home record and it is very similar to ours in that they don't lose at home, so we will have try and do something about that. They are a strong team so I won't be taking them lightly, luckily we play them at a time where they have a few suspensions so we will try and take advantage of this. Their manager is obviously trying to play some mind games, saying his last PR that they lost at home because that isn't the case. It will be interesting to see what formation they play as 4-4-2 is their preferred but I don't think they will risk that with their midfield crisis at the moment". CM was in bullish mood having gained revenge on Pahang thanks to a 2-1 win at home. Shuttlewood scored his first for the club and Punisher fired in the winning penalty. The win keeps Splott top and the winning run goes on, it's going to take something special to stop us.

inconsistent performance

AJRovers lost their last matches at home. and this week, Rovers is once again will face Splott Rovers, who is currently a league leader. this time, Rovers will use different approach in order to get another 3 points and guarantee the place for promotions.

Stanley News

Bad week at the office for stanley, things need to pick otherwise the club are in danger of being relegated , next up is a away match at White Hawk where nothing more than a win will do for manager Markham33

Morley Return to Winning Ways

Town News

Morley returned to winning ways after their recent slump in form with a 3-0 win against Reggae Reggae Sauce. Sauce have now hit rock bottom thanks to Leeg21's side, it is unsurprising though as they failed to feild any substitutes and also failed to muster a chance on goal in the whole 90 minutes.

Maart Kuiper opened the scoring firing in Cullips corner on 58 minutes, a minute later and town were 2-0 up, Helder Velez's long range shot sailed past Mullen in the Sauce goal, Town wrapped up the win as Cullip finished from Velez's pass.

Santos FC Season = Underdogz Utd 2010?

After drawing yet another game, this time with West Brom Strollers, pundits around the league have been comparing Santos season with Underdogz United's campaign last year. Underdogz, known more for their cautious approach than their offensive prowess, picked up the most ties in RMI last year. After Izuka left the team, the footballing gods decided for the curse to be transferred to another club. And what better irony than to curse a (former) offensive superpower in Santos FC? Indeed, looking at the all-time standings at RMI shows Santos with the 3rd most league goals scored, making it all the more puzzling of Santo's lack of success.

Many have mentioned the toughness of the new league, indeed Sean7 mentioning several times of the competitive nature of the league. Title favourites RMB and Eaglesrjh, who have pulled away from the rest of the league, have also mentioned about the strong teams and astute managers.
Not confident with his team, manager Sean7 has decided to try cautious approaches to games, resulting in one points gained for most of the season. However, a mere 4 points away from the drop zone, with OAP Pop Punk and West Brom chasing their tails, it will be tough to overcome relegation with simple one point "wins".

The team recently discovered that manager Sean7 had disappeared from any interviews with the press, in an effort to fix this hex of the 'draw team'. Word has it that deep in the Himalyan Mountains, there lies an ancient yogi who sat under a frozen Bodhi Tree for 50 years before discovering the meaning of life....
and also how to correctly answer the question 'do these jeans make me look fat? to their girlfriend.

Manager sean7 will seek to get counsel from the wiseman on how to reverse this hex, and go back to the offensive football that fans are accustomed to seeing. Stay tuned.

Cloud Nine Anime denied

In a quite season for Joshy and his Anime Allstar chicks plus a couple of guys Joshy has been very quite indeed only once prior to this press release speaking to the media this season so why so shy ? he blamed a busy life-style
So we took the chance to get him to chat with us once again...

You went 8 games unbeaten and were undone by the last team to beat you in the league how did that feel ?

" Well we lost at home 1-2 letting 2 goals in on the 86th and 87th minute so i knew we would have our work cut out for the away clash. As we faced EspÅda ® in the Hucö Mundö stadium i knew one of our forms would suffer and it was us again as we lost 1-0 in a spirited display we sure made them work for their 6 points. "

Your now 7 points away from the promotion trio do you still think you have a chance of promotion with 7 games left which is 21 points on offer ?

" 7 points in quite a gap but this is football and anything can happen. We are 4th and still 2 points clear of 5th place even though we lost 1-0 to the league leaders. But honnestly i think we are now out of the race i highly expect the top 3 clubs now to be promoted. "

If funds get tight would you be prepared to sell a young tallented player to boost your funds ?

" nope never unless they were a gift from the youth system but that will never happen. "

Turning our attention to division 2 for a moment if you are not promoted this season who do you think will be joining you next season ?

" well at the moment PSV Eindhoven look doomed, promoted wortley afc are struggling at the moment and the 3rd team could be anyone from a handful of teams. It is tight and with 7 games left even a mid-table team could get sucked into the dog fight. "

Reflecting again on your 8 games unbeaten run what do you think was a key factor to this ?

" Well we have a tight defence despite some young faces in the mix. We have only let in 5 goals in the last 7 matches which includes our home defeat to EspÅda ® which works out less then one goal per match over the seven matches. Thats promotion form almost but we need to turn draws into wins if we want to claw back the 7 point gap which like i said i think is beyound us now. "

one last question what are you thoughts going into your next match at home against FCR Cressex ?

" I think we have a good record against this team since i took over here. They have let in 16 goals in the last 5 matches which is good news for us and we need to bounce back from our first defeat in 9 matches. "

Thank you for your time Joshy...

Promotion? Less Hope

Its very unconsistent performance shown by the Pahang United squad whereby they lost to top leader with 2-1 goal.

Its very dissapointed where we lost to them. I realized that they have better squad plus ntelligent manager but we desperate to win that matches. We really need the points. But they much deserve it. They played well in front of their home fan and scored 2 gol until final whistle. Said the manager.

We got to win the balance fixtures if looking for promotion spot next season.

Amateurs revival still makes no headway

Yorkshires Amateurs made it 7 points out of a possible 9 with a hard fought draw against Totaalvoetbal earlier this week.
Although the Amateurs have recorded some excellent recent results they still find themselves five points from safety with games running out. Their next game is against OAP Pop Punk, a game the Amateurs can really not afford to lose as they hope to force their way out of the bottom three.
Confidence is high after wins against Arsenal DB and Santos FC but manager Danlufc13 knows that they must realistically pick up points in just about every remaining game to stand any chance of avoiding the dreaded drop.
This looked a formality only a couple of weeks ago though so at least the Amateurs have now given themselves a glimmer of hope.

Still in the running

TCM gave a convicing 4-0 home win against division bottom club PSV Eindhoven,

Goals from McMahon, Capdevila, Cooksey and Delgado secured the victory in a fairly one sided game.

Eindhovens René Maslovský missed a penalty on 57 minutes when the game was still just 1-0, however the missed set piece inspired a young looking TCM lineup onto victory.

The game saw debuts for the 2 players recently promoted from the youth academy, Vicente and Bowers.

Whats New

We were soundly beaten but that was to be expected. The problem was that they predicted our tactics well and duely took advanatge. When that happens and your playing a much stronger team away from home, 4-0 defeats are too be expected. Unfortunate for us Drsko picked up an injury, thankfully its not long term and shouldn't have any major impact on his average form.

Ian Wright Completes Move to Bernabeu

34-year old striker, Ian Wright, put pen to paper last night as he arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu. The player was brought on for extra firepower after Real Madrid's current slump of 8 win-less matches.

"He has been in great goal scoring form, and he was for sale, so we decided to pick him up for the remainder of the season." said Fred Rizzo at the player's presentation.

The player has been signed on for the remainder of the season, with an option to extend his contract for 1 season based on performances.

still holding on to second

The Smurftastic Smurfs are still holidng onto second place in the league, a decent week with first a draw and then a good 2-0 away win with goals for the returning Ormondroyd. We hope that if he and a fe wother key players can stay fit till the end of the season that that should be enough to see us slip back into top league football next season,

Back to winning ways

Arsenal returned to winning ways as they proved to be more effective in front of goal as Real Madrid. Brown knew they would come and park the bus with a 5-4-1 formation and using wing plays, Brown stated he wanted to play 3-4-3 to breakdown their 5 man defense but Arsenal have youths that need games so they went for 3-5-2.

Brown was amazed Real managed 8 shots on goal with that formation and tactics but is glad they never resulted in a goal.

Up next is what seems to be a sleeping giant this season, Arsenal are hoping they don't wake up till after their game.

Crimea sold down the River

Special Ones close in.

Ajtrader looks like he may get the last laugh this season as his side are now unbeaten in three and are edging away from relegation and quickly hunting down Crimea River, who's manager mocked the Special One at his arrival in the league.

A curse was set after the poetic Ithaqua joked about the Special One's capabilities, resulting in one of the worst set of results in Crimea's history. While trader has discovered some great form Crimea have not one since the Ones arrival.

"It nerves, the boys in his team don't have the bottle. Ithaqua has tried to get them fired up with talk of getting us relegated, but deep down they are quivering. We haven't even played them and we've already piled on the pressure just with my presence in this league"

While Ithaqua bemoans injury and poor luck, Trader is sure its more than that.

Meanwhile the arrival of Kilie_gers has stirred up anxiety amongst the league admin, with statements of intention to investigate the goings-on at the RMI, The Ones manager has vowed to support his learned colleague.

"Now Kilie's here, the three of us MSE rebels have been re-united, and as much as I mock Ithaqua we will stand united for whatever we believe, quite what that is yet, I'm not so sure. However we already have insider information on quite a few managers here so expect some interesteing revelation over the coming few days as we begin to find out exactly what is going on here in the RMI."

18-4

Viking Land News

18-4 thats the goals in the last 8 matches for the Vikings, 18 scored and only 4 conceded, this has lead to 8 consecutive victories and a rise from what the manager thought was going to be midtable mediocrity to a real stab at a title challenge. Theres still no room for complaceny in the squad though, we now have a 3 point lead after Yorkshires Amateurs managed to get a draw at home against Totaalvoetbal.

The manager said

?Well we are delighted with the run we have been on and we never expected to be top of the table, we are happy now to have a three point gap after Totaalvoetbal dropped 2 points against Yorkshires Amateurs as they fight for survival.

However we still have seven hard games to come including a home game against Totallvoetbal and there is still no talk about clearing any space for the silverware just yet!

River Damned

Crimea River's recent horrific run of luck continued as a youthful looking home side crashed 2-1 to FC Bayern Munchen and managed to rack up their 6th injury in 7 games. In injury time. Oh the irony.

Even more amusingly the home side actually failed to score with their 60th minute goal coming courtesy of a terrible backpass from Munchen defender Josh Redneck. A lead that lasted less than 60 seconds as Chuck Ewing headed home a Billy Ray Bongle centre.

A simple through ball from Bob Country on 78 minutes split the River defence and Munchen forward Billy Bob sprinted free to calmly slot the ball under the advancing Lukasz Fabianski.

With rumours gathering pace of two more of River's over 30's being sold this evening discontent continues to grow among a dissatisfied River support now openly questioning the wisdom of the clubs choice of coach.

"I think FMRealism said it best," began the River head coach post match, "I'm not sure exactly what it was he said, he was rambling on a bit. Somewhere amongst all that wetting himself over Dream Team there was something about youth development being a priority I think. Anyway, if that was what he said then I agree."

"Obviously you have two choices, short term success or a more long term plan. Or just team hop to a side someone else built for you and then lap up all the credit. Anyway, I digress, the priority at the moment is to at least try and recoup some funds from players likely to retire, though we might take a chance with Desailly."

"And yes, I can confirm that Peyton and Silvestre are definitely leaving this evening. Obviously we'd prefer slightly higher fees than are on the table but we should still be able to snap up a few youths in the coming silly season."

"Results? Relegation? I think recent league inductee kilie_gers said it best when he said '...it is backs to the wall time when I see him around.'."

FMR: Nothing Changes

After todays result, many expected manager FMR to go back on his words and halt any plans of settling for another season in division two. Interestingly though if you were one of the many, you would be amongst a large majority that is very much mistaken, as Gooners prepare to ship out yet another fans favourite in the form of Iain Wright. Madrid is the destination and the player who is among the best and most experienced strikers in the league said goodbye to the fans in a moving press conference earlier today. Wright a legend in these parts has quite an amazing record when it comes to scoring goals, and one would have thought his experience was much needed at this moment when Gooners are so close to both promotion and silverware.

An emphatic 2 - 0 away win against tile leaders Bullies has had no effects on the Gooners bosses plans and it seems that FMR was not playing mind games with the other two managers involved when he suggested his own ambitions this season where on hold. Many have been calling for FMR's job and others think him plain crazy, we caught up with the coach who is never far away from a headline recently to get his point of view.
"The result today was fantastic, to take all six points from Bullies obviously means alot to the players and myself after everything that has gone on this season. There were many things that stood out for me today, but I must speak about the defence first... especially Sol Campbell a player who was not performing and did not figure in my future plans. Just recently he was for sale well under his market value, the lad was told to start fulfilling his potential if he wanted to stay and the turn around is nothing short of amazing. He has put in the best performances of his career consistently and is playing at the top of his game! Having sold a player of Adams calibur was a risk but Sol has filled those boots immediately and made the changes work in our favor.

The only downside in todays game was the injury, Patrick is a great player and many over look his contributions over the years with so many talented players in the middle of the park. This being his second injury this season it may spell the end of his career, wether he has time enough to regain his form remains to be seen... for sure we havent given up on him and he still has an important part to play as we enter the latter stages of the season. We hope he can develop further this season and continue to play his football here.

As for our priorities, the win over Bullies changes nothing, we stated our intentions clearly with the sale of Adams and those intentions are now reinforced with the sale of Iain Wright. Today is a sad day for everyone at the club and the decision to sell Wright was one not made lightly and I am sure it will take the team sometime to come to terms with the loss of such a large character. It may take even longer for the fans to forgive me! We have a long history of signing special players here and Wright certainly falls into that category and I am sure Madrid will feel the same way about him.

So what are our intentions and my feelings about the season so far and where we are heading? It is simple really... firstly I never once said we cannot win the title, I think had we not taken on young players and focused on winning we would be some points clear now. I had a feeling after playing certain teams on very low form and still asking questions of them we might find ourselves back in this position. In my opinion the two above us will still lose more games before the end of the season.

The team we have now after the sales of Wright and Adams, should not be winning a title and when you look at Dream Team and compare their youth and ours... I think we should not be promoted either. That said we will play to the best of our abilities whilst giving the young players every game they need, the problem we have is three of these youth are strikers. Along with the sale of Wright our oldest striker, things are going to be difficult to manage upfront. If I look at a game and think we may lose by playing certain players or need to change formation to suit match experience, I will do this without hesitation.

Of course we try to manage the situation best we can and now is the time I really earn my pay cheques! So lets be clear... we play as best we can under every circumstance as it arises, I think if we win or are promoted it will be because the others didnt want it bad enough and certainly not because we had the stronger team,

In my mind it is simple the teams are very close in skill and titles will be won and lost in the future through the next few change reports. We also have key players such as Henry, Bergkamp, Lang that are at critical stages of development and need to get maximum results. Then you need to look at potetnial, Winterburn, Lipscombe, Overmars, Bould, Akinfeev, Fabregas and then next couple of players we bring in will give us massive scope for improvement. We must focus on these things first!"
