Talk about leaving it late! Hun Haters were 1-0 down going into the final 5 minutes of the match and the only noise that could be heard was that of the FC Greatness support. They thought they had won a fairly even game against one of the most consistent performers in this league over the past two seasons but it was all to change.
Some of the Hun Haters fans were leaving the stadium as Jimmy Meire came forward with the ball. He took the ball just over the halfway line before playing a magnificent long ball aimed at Iain Emery. Emery was standing 10 yards out and took the ball on the chest before rifling the ball home past the helpless Rachao. The supporters who left had missed one of Emery's best goals he has ever scored.
From the re-start Hun Haters took control and you could sense that the Greatness fans would be happy with just holding onto the draw. Then the linesman held up the board and revealed there would be 6 minutes added on due to the injury to Ted Caird. Hun Haters continued to pile on the pressure and in the 95th minute Ashton Crosby stormed forward. He ran 20 yards before playing a good one-two with Emery and slotting home from inside the box.
This result showed the resilliance of the team and we hope to build on this comeback and show how good we are in the games to come.
