Vikings lose out at Goals Aloud.
The Vikings lost this game despite feeling they could have won it going into the match up with huge form across the team.
Clint Bonavia was still in good shape following his recent hat-trick and forced the Goals Aloud keeper into a save as early as the 4th minute. Almandis then hit a stinging freekick on 19 that Harper in the Goals Aloud net just managed to get enough on to keep it out. Gourmas again tested the keeper on 22 but again Harper was up to the job. Nyberg then headed Goals Alouds first chance over on 37. 0-0 half time
Harper in the Goals allowed net was frustrating the Vikings as he saved an effort from Crouch on 48. De Melo then hit the bar with a freekick for Goals on 67. The game seemd to be grinding it's way to a goalless draw that might have been a fair result until De Melo got free on 90 minutes and slotted the ball home much to the away fans disgust! 1-0 at full time.
"We deserved at least a point" said Eaglesrjh at the end of the game, "but these things happen in football and the important thing is to pick ourselves uo and look to win the next game"
