Nice Start

In a season where I expect us to be strong relegation candidates, it was a good surprise to kick off with a home win. Even though the team is visibly stronger from last year. The division too is strong.
Congrats to Inshigami who kicked off with a debut goal.
It seems we have now 1 too many strikers. I really dont like having more than 3.

Gooners Enjoy Opening Day Victory

Gooners got off to a cracking start against the Cats, a 1 - 4 away win was more than FMR could have ever expected. Busquets stole the show and the match ball scoring his first hatrick in a Gooners shirt, many fans questioned the signing last season... when Busquets failed to make an impact on a title winning season. Today though he showed he has everything in his locker and some!

He was not the only young talent attracting attention as Overmars and the ever impressive Fabregas made their presence felt in midfield also (with Cesc grabbing a goal himself). FMR obviously thinks that young Cesc is ready to take on alot more responcibility and decided to play him in the attacking role, and the young lad loved every minute of it. Everyone put in a decent performance bar Seaman and you have to wonder how long it will be before Akinfeev gets a crack at the number one shirt.

The Gunners looked fantastic today, and that was not only because of their new strips... they were given plenty of time and space to play and made very good use of it. Something that FMR knows will be harder to come by in their next game against the men in Orange.

FMR had this to say:

"It's fantastic, and thats just being here.. just to be one of the teams chasing the elusive RMI cup is an honor, there are some fantastic teams and managers in this division and we are just happy to be part of that.

Today was a fantastic result for us as looking at our next few games, it was important to keep the form levels high and mauintain a nice average throughout the team. Losing would have meant all the money we spent during pre season was wasted and already our change report would have been looking very bleak. The outcome form wise couldnt have been anymore perfect and every player either held or went up in form... averages are very high!

As for the game itself, it was nice to see the young lads put in a shift and take some pressure off the more established guys. Just the fact the likes of Cesc and Overmars were really up for it.. is fantastic news! Talking of pressure we knew Henry would be marked and played him in the hope of giving Busquets more space in which to play... obviously after last season it was a lot of responcibilty for the lad but.. he handled it admirably an looks a lot more settled now. His record at Bristol speaks for itself and for a player like this with his qualities he needs to be fully settled in the team, the time and effort spent on such a player will be worth it in the long run.

Next are the men in Orange and we feel we have an advantage... we have everything to gain and not a lot to lose.. we are not expected to win therefore the pressure is on them to get the result at their place. In all honesty I would have preferred the Santos fixture next and I hope we maintain enough form for that fixture... after we play Totaal. As always I will leave no stone unturned in finding a way to give us at least a chance but then its down to the players to make the most of those chances.

These are very tasty fixtures over the next few weeks and it is an exciting time for us... as always we are here to just enjoy what we do. It's good to be back to business and other results that interested me around the league were Anime, Strollers and Bristol.."

Goalkeeping shocker!

Even though Bonkers played very offensive, Milan still limited them to just 6 shots but they still scored 3 of them after Milan's goalkeeper and a very off day.

Milan were very poor and will be hoping for a great improvement in their next game on Friday.

Assistant coach gets sacked

Ajtrader100 loses his patience with his female assistant.

Tess Tickle was sensationally axed after tinkering with tactics before todays opening game against Morley Town FC. The side suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat despite fielding players in obviously incorrect positions. Sources say Tess was seen drinking in the local boozer before heading to the stadium today.

Trader was away scouting a youth player and left the formalities to Miss Tickle, he left clear and concise instructions which were blatantly ignored. The teamsheet showed four players out of position and the narrow defeat could have possibly been avoided if she blurry eyed coach had managed to read the guide.

Tess was initially placed on gardening leave, but was seen drunkenly digging up the pitch as she mistook her situation. The board called an imediate meeting and once Trader returned to The Reccy they decided it was best to sack Tess Tickle with immediate effect.

An insider has revealed Trader may be trying to bring youh coach Ithaqua of Crimea River to the coaching staff. He has impressed The Special Ones manager with a succesful change report at his Division 3 side.

The Ones manager stated:

"He's a bit wayward, but with my knowledge, experience, guidance and superior tactical know-how he could become a quite average manager. I'll obviously speak to the Chairman, and see if we can afford his wages. His people are asking for a large deal. We have responded with what we feel is a fair offer. I personally feel he will accept the offer on the table; 2 bottles of buckfast, a haggis supper and a year pass to Alton Towers is a fair package for someone of his talents. The ball is in his court, hopefully we will get our man."

The season begins

Well, these African imitators are certainly not putting on the best show at the moment. Striking the ball on target seems to be a major issue and yet even the new boy can't do it for them... what to do. White line fever strikes again... next thing you know the whole team will be suffering of Kwashioko or Cholera or Malaria. Who knows but the future is still dim...

Start as you mean to go on

Arsenal Reserves started the season with a defeat from OAP Pop Punk. Brown knew they would lose and is resigned to the fact they will go down this season. With 90% of their team gone and replaced with youth the next few seasons will be about training them and making their way back to the top flight

Brown is also considering selling 15mil rated Fabregas but he is still on the fench

Season opener

Barnsley Chop FC open their new season tommorrow with a home game against the Legends and are hoping to get some form of a result from the match."We have a fully fit squad for the exception of Carlos whose whereabouts are still unknown its a tough opening game for us but we are all looking forward to it" quoted new manager Steve.

Totaal Struggling?

It has been reported over the last week that Totaalvoetbal have been struggling for morale and drive over the past few weeks with fans becoming increasingly worried with the quiet at the club.

With a massive season on the horizon those very same fans will have to keep the faith that Totaal's fire will be lit by the return to competitive action. Otherwise, they could be in for a very tough season.

Another season of survival

Less than average change report leaves manager looking to yet another difficult campaign.

Afetr selling off the club treasures on his arrival the manager was hoping some of the young starlets would improve rapidly to provide him with a squad that could cope in a very competitive division.

However the most recent change report left the manager bewildered with a less than satisfiying change report. Despite good levels of skill increase overall very few players actually budged, meaning he will have to wait another season before the real benefits of an expensive training routine is forthcoming.

Closing in on Opening Day

As the eighth season of the RM Invitational approaches, Santos FC have been struggling to hit players on top form and accumulate training funds. Santos news talked to the manager about being champions, and of things to come.

"That last day of fixtures when all was said and done, I was ecstatic. Then I watched Inception...Wait, have I done this before?"

Sean7 walked away in a daze, a confused look on his face. The fans will hope he's not dazed come opening day. Though we wouldn't be surprised, the tosser.

Its time!..

The season is just 2 days away and the manager is now doing last-minute shopping..The talking will stop and the on-field action begins...With 2 games a week its a test of endurance..Bench Strength will definitely come into play..A good start is important and the manager hopes his players perform well.It will be a tight season as there are so many talented mangers

Happy

Chop manager is happy the way his players have performed in the pre-season friendlies we`re now looking forward to the first match and we`re confident of contending for the race for promotion. Meanwhile the board have employed the services of two private investigaters to find out the whereabouts of Roberto Carlos who has done a disappearing act "we need him back he`s a influential player" manager Steve quoted.

Sean Speaks on Santos' Super Season

We managed to sit down for a chat with busy Santos manager Sean7. Find out what he had to say about the triumph of last season and things to come.

1. How did it feel to be crowned champions last season and what contributed largely to that success?

That last day of fixtures when all was said and done, I was ecstatic. Then I watched Inception, and debated on creating a totem for myself…was I dreaming? It was a historic moment for the club and a great honour to achieve this. I would say in any season, challenging for top honours requires both skill and luck. In the first half of the season, we were mid to bottom table, but a winning run in the second half helped towards obtaining the title.

2. Only ThunderCats have successfully defended the title. Could Santos replicate this? Is everybody ready to go?

We’ve still got the team partying! Maybe that’s why form is so low…Going for two consecutive titles is a hefty challenge, especially now when teams in the lower divisions are building their squads for long-term competitiveness. We’ve also got some of the top sides re-tooling their squads for an even stronger challenge. The targets are on our back, and everyone will be gunning to take us down. We need to be ready and sustain that winning mentality.

3. Will you be looking to make a start early and fly out of the blocks, or just concentrate on what you do bit by bit?

Bit by bit. Form is low. We have little funds. But we’re still Santos. We want to take it game by game, not look too far ahead. Maximize our home advantage, and take at least a point on away games. At this stage in the RMI, it’s almost impossible to win a game by more than 2 goals. I expect many close games.

4. Who do you feel will be the main competitors for the title this season?

All of them! Honestly, this season looks to be the toughest, you’ve got Totaal re-tooling for the strongest team in the top division, RDCM, Darren and FMR promoted, and a bevy of others looking to nick points away. Anything can happen when you’re in the RMI.

5. What do you think of the promoted teams? Could they pose any real threat to the title race?

They very well could. Teams like West Brom and Vikings had large success in their first season in the top flight, it shouldn’t be any different this time around.

6. Are there any matches you're looking forward to in particular?

Definitely looking forward to the Brazil-Netherlands games in mid-season. I know Robin’s chomping at the bit for some unfinished business, and I welcome it. There’s also been some outstanding games between myself and Markham, there's always drama in each fixture, from late goals to improbable comebacks. Both of us go all out, and it’s always an entertaining affair for all.

7. Who will be the key players in your team this season?

I actually feel our defence will be the crucial element to our success. Close games are now a norm in the top flight, making a high skilled defence important. All things considered, we’ve never had a problem scoring goals, but often tend to concede many. Sandström, Maicon and Lukic should be our key players.

8. Anything else you expect from your players this season? Tighten up at the back, score more goals up front? Any targets for individual players?

I feel it’s essential to develop our youth players in midfield, Pino and Robinho, especially when Afonso eventually retires. Defending a title while looking towards the long-term is a difficult task, especially when you consider that recently promoted sides often have younger squads.

A personal goal within the team is to make our forward line the highest scoring in the RMI this season. Adriano has under-achieved the last two seasons, battling alcoholism and fitness issues. However, he’s had an outstanding pre-season, and I’m expecting a top 5 finish from him in the goal scoring charts.

9. We saw Totaalvoetbal's Jaap Cruz retire last season. Are any of your players thinking of doing the same in the near future?

We’ve got at least one player over 33 years of age in each position, and I feel that this may be the last hurrah for many of our defensive players. Sandström, Pragurd and Rodenas may be the ones most likely to retire. Sandström is still a high level player and the lynchpin of our defence. However, as we saw with Cruz, regardless of skill level, player’s minds can change in an instant.

10. What are your thoughts on the development of the RM Invitational league?

The RMI is truly an outstanding league. Every team has a distinct personality, from playing style to their press releases. It’s been a joy to watch the growth of this league and definitely it will continue to attract high quality managers and colourful personalities. Things are kept light-hearted and drama-free. I personally prefer the number of the divisions as they are. It allows each manager to create rivalries with other managers, and participate more in the forum and scribble. Overall, the admin staff have done a wonderful job of keeping things organized, professional, and most of all fun. Long live!

No change for RDCM's men

Having failled to generate significant transfer funds from player sales during silly season, it seems that These Charming Men will be entering their debut RMI season unchanged.

Despite the lack of activity the boss is still upbeat and positive going into the opening game against title holders Santos FC.

Splott win the Cup

After a season to forget in the RMI, Splott showed exactly what they are capable of with a superb win in the RMI cup. with some lucky home ties and a bye in the first round Splott powered into the final and took a 6-3 lead against the Vikings. The Vikings however were not to lay down and a 3-1 2nd leg win nearly saw them pinch the cup, luckily for Splott Shuttlewood scored a vital goal to claim the aggregate win. Splott can now add this unofficial title to their two league titles and the fans can go into the season on a high, expecting more than a relegation battle this time around

New Signing

Manger @peace has made his final signing of the season Hugo Alaniz a ten skill forward which has one sq greedy. The only other signings hes made in the preseason was Jody Nutley a midfield age 20 skill 6 sq tough and header which is a signing for the future as theres a few in his midfield that are coming to the end of there careers and are in there 30s and can help Jody Nutley and the rest of the young stars in midfield devlope in to better playyers .@peace is very happy with the new signings but needs one more player a defender and went to the chairman asking for the funds to sign one but the chairman has said the funds are not there and told him if he wants to sign a defender he will have to sell a playyer .@ peace understands and has been very happy with the chairman so far put fills if he could just have 5m more for a defender he could take the team up this season with a very good chance of topping a very hard division.@peace will have to turn to the youth department for a defender but still has 15 days till he can take on a youth and will not know if he be able to cut it in division 1 but will take that chance. @peace would like to take this chance to wish all mangers good luck with the coming season and welcome all the new mangers

Izuka recognises Greatness

Flare United manager Izuka yesterday told the press that F.C. Greatness were a worthy addition to the top flight. In a recent friendly at the Sunburst Arena, La Furia Roja narrowly defeated Greatness by a 2-1 margin. Defender Philipp Bitzer was on target for the hosts in the 2nd minute while veteran forward Iain Emery scored the winner in the 20th minute. Experienced midfielder Finlay MacCleir showed that he can still perform at the top level at his age as he provided the final ball for both goals.

However, the chemistry and understanding between the Greatness players showed as a blind pass from Mario Balotelli found Paolo Serena in space on the wing and the midfielder's return cross just seconds later landed right on the oncoming Balotelli's forehead in the 11th minute.

"F.C. Greatness have been around since season 1 and since that time, they've only had one manager. They've got about 6 players who've been around for ages and have played over 100 games, and a few players quickly closing in on that milestone. Their teamwork, their chemistry, it's got to be just amazing. They could be playing in the dark and they'd know exactly where everybody else would be. I think they may very well cause a few upsets this season," said Izuka to the press at the club's training ground yesterday.

humbled

Possibly the worst tactical game ever played by the manager saw his crazy team loose 5-2 away at those pesky africans. "They drummed us!!!", was the managers summing up of the game. True, but that is not the point of pre-season, it is about getting game time and form up so that the team can hit the season running hot. Lets hope that is really happening. Next up, revenge, hopefully a hoem game against those pesky africans so we can teach them how to really slaughter someone.

Keep The Faith

Gooners will make no big money signings this pre-season and will not be selling any players either, FMR has been busy working on a plan to both win the RMI and improve his team in the long term... and belives he now has a winning formula.

During last season the Gooners boss spoke out many times about their goal keepers and saw this as their major weakness, but with Seaman's end of season performances it would have been a heartless decision to let him go. As for Akinfeev there is significant improvement season upon season and FMR has promised him atleast the chance to prove he can be world class.

Gooners will then start the new season, almost as they finished the last... they are as always looking to add more youth to their numbers and have been evaluating many options although obviously have failed to find that special something they are looking for. Laurent Koscielny was added to their ranks and is very much part of the bigger picture, Gooners are still tracking players on this path and have made offers.

FMR has hinted that players may be sold during the season, we think this refers mainly to Busquets who is the clubs record signing. He looks much more settled now but will need to be working hard on the training field as goals alone wont be enough after last season disaster. Akinfeev is another who will need to work harder than others if he is to remain at the club. FMR himself is still confident and had only positive things to say;
"Yes the season is almost upon us and there has been no big signings but we are confident and optomistic as ever, development is key to our immediate success but at the same time we feel capable of competing well this season. On paper obviously some are already saying we are not up to the task, the game has never been played on paper though and I am looking forward to the challenge... very much so.

The board have asked only that we survive this season...but I have set my sights higher! I have looked at the coming season in some detail and I feel that we can maybe get some unexpected results in the first half for sure. We play away an awful lot and this will remove a lot of pressure and also allow us to try some different approaches. A good start could make a massive difference and we are in the best shape we have ever been in before a season, the first game is also one I feel we are more than capable of winning also.

The squad is very small and without many alternatives, so avoiding injuries as always is key for us. That said we do have plans in place to level the playing field when needed and we are happy there will be adequate playing time for the fringe players also. We also have some options during the season if early on we find certain players struggling for form we will not hesitate to list them and that alone could have dramatic effect on things. We hope that that is not an option we are forced to use as the preferred plan is to acheive success with every player we have on the books curently.

My target is to do as well as I can this season but we are already looking toward the two seasons after and feel that may be our best chance to win the RMI. So again it is key to push our more experienced players harder than ever... Henry had a troubled season last time around so he has some catching up to do, but we are happy with the work done with Bergkamp and Lang and feel we can push them up a level as early as this season! Im sure Cesc can improve so if we can work some miracles with Borja and he stays on I feel we can at least match some of those more established teams for a short period.

It is a diffcult balance to maintain but I feel that with my current plans it will not harm the club to keep players such as Lang, Bergkamp. Henry and Borja on til retirement. I feel they will bring us success and I feel confident there will be enough here after their departure to rebuild upon in a short period of time."

Friendly match

Flare United will host newly-promoted F.C. Greatness at the Galaxy Arena later today in their final game of the pre-season. F.C. Greatness are returning to the RM Invitational after a 3-season absence. Prior to that, they spent two seasons in the top flight, failing to avoid relegation in the second of those seasons in the final relegation spot, after which they were almost relegated from Division 1 as well.

Izuka expects his side to give F.C. Greatness a taste of the top flight in this upcoming friendly as they shake off the last of their rust from the pre-season. United have been in good form this pre-season after taking part in the RMI Preseason Cup where they were knocked out by Santos FC on the away goals rule.

Experience Added

With the capture of 29 yr old Yasutoki we've added some experience in our ranks. Div 2 will be much tougher for us where we're one of the favourites for relegation. A bit of experince means we can put up a bit more of fight.
Also wit Claudio unable to raise his skill bar in the last CR we needed this injection of quality.

Fans are a bit skeptic as the last asian player we had was a disastrous ineffective player. Hopefully that changes.

Anime all ready for new season

With the clock ticking down to the start of the new season manager Joshy decleared his side ready !
Anime have been busy in the transfer window too buying a giant midfielder who is also a dead ball specialist. Joshy had this to say...

" The new season is almost here and we cannot wait. We have already put behind us the dissapointment of going out of the silly season cup so soon. It would of been nice to put up a greater defence of our title following a bye into round 2. Thats done and dusted now and we are expecting to be pushing for promotion again. "

Holgate add experience

Holgate Pathetic are gearing up for a promotion plus with the signing of veterans Guy Gardner and Ben Grimm to strengthen the team. Grimm is a no nonsense defender who should add steel to the back line. Gardner will play as the teams holding midfielder and will be player coaching helping the young players in the squad develop. Further activity is expected through the early part of the season with Rayner and Banner both expected to move on.

New Faces..

Classic 11 chief Sir Linkinparkrocks has is keeping an eye on the transfer market..With less than 10 days away the boss knows that it is time to bring in fresh blood..The defence definitely needs more skilled players and the manager has already sold a couple of 4 skilled defenders..With 2 games a week the side also needs backup as there is neglgible time for recovery. The manager is confident his side can turn in a good display

Waiting Game

Totaalvoetbal have been working hard in pre-season training but little else as manager Robin Meeblind took some time away from the game.

With the long-standing coach suffering from X11 burnout the end of the season has come at a good time for the club.

However, despite the manager's lack of attention the players are still rumoured to be attaining the required levels before the season starts on the 17th.

Almost there

Barnsley Chop new manager Steve reckons his squad are almost ready for the upcoming new season they play their last friendly tommorrow when they visit Bayern Munchen. "We want the squad to give us all they`ve got this season so we can challenge for promotion and return to where we belong. Our start will be hampered by the disappearance of Roberto Carlos whose decided to do a vanishing act for 18 days"

Season Build Up Continues

Silly season continues apace for the young guns of Crimea River. After a narrow 5-0 defeat at the hands of These Charming Men River nearly squeaked into the second round of the cup until the admin error was discovered and Men were restored to the draw.

A 1-1 draw at home to fellow youth side Ely City FC. Despite still giving up a year or two to their opponents River gave a reasonable account of themselves and offered hope that they may yet for a reasonable side. In about four years real time.

A final friendly against division three promotion favourites .sopranos. saw the River youth squad slump to a 2-0 defeat. Probably a result likely to be repeated many times over the coming season.

Times are a changing?

With Needarests participation in the pre-season cup over for this year, plans can be focused on the coming season.

"Yeah the cup was a distraction but I got an idea on what way the team would perform against somewhat more difficult opposition. And moral of the story is that we would get tanked. So for the forseeable future youth is the key."

Izuka done with pre-season deals

Izuka and Flare United are done with their transfer dealings for this pre-season. Izuka has worked towards strengthening only the team's midfield with the addition of veteran Juan-María Lima and promising young talent Jean Holten. However, Craig Elliston had to go the other way in exchange for Lima, while Malaysian youth team players Faizal Ganeson and Mohd Alafi Jalumin also left the club shortly after joining the senior team. Ganeson was given the sack immediately, but Mohd Alafi attracted the interest of several clubs, including a few from within the RM Invitational, but Izuka ultimately chose to sell the youngster to a club in their homeland, Malaysia.

Need More Money

So I thought I would do a quick press so another one of my player's can have the magic green arrow!

The team is looking good and prepared for the new season, no ins and no outs. Surprising, right?

2 absolutely terrible youths which have left me annoyed but whatever. Good luck to all in the new season!

/Cath

Finale

As you might have read Splott Rovers and we will not have no real break during previous and next season. Well that's the dark side of the success but it's much more important for both teams to win this cup because the award might be very helpful in next league matches!

Both teams played last year in RM Invitational but they were able to grab ticket for next one and we didn't. They also have strong squad and their 40-years old goalkeeper! So we think that part of favorites is on Splott Rovers.

Cup Knockout

Santos were eliminated in the semi-final cup by a solid Splott Rovers team, ending their ambitions of a double triumph. Goals by Mr. Fantastic and Guntekin Can put Santos in a hole that they could not overcome, falling on away goals. Nonetheless, manager Sean7 remained upbeat about the upcoming season.

'Reed Fantastic really did us in today, a Fanastic Four like performance. He wasn't MOTM for nothing. Moving onwards, we're looking at raising average form. Our form has been a wreck after last season, and we'll be undergoing some intensive training to get back to top levels. The targets are on our back now, and we have to be ready.'

In transfer news, youth defender Paz Iturralde was sold for 1.2 mil econ. The manager's hopes to develop the player did not go as planned, and both sides felt there were better opportunities for the player elsewhere.

'Paz was always a hard worker on our team, good with practice and shined in the rare playing time he got. With George Ling coming in, we felt opportunities for playing time would not be enough to raise his skill level. It's only fair that he be given the chance to shine elsewhere. With his time here, we hope he's developed a winning mentality, and wish him the best of luck.'

Not a lot happening

A quiet silly season is continuing at These Charming Men whilst RDCM assesses his options, he has made it clear that he feels his side are fit enough for the new season and is not accepting any friendlies.

Ion Avellino is still on the transfer market as the gaffer tries to raise funds for his sides debut RM Invitational season.

good warm up

The Bonkers came out of the latest warmup game to the season with more smiles. A 6-1 win gave them all the confidence of a mongoose on steroids. Even the goalie got in on the goal scoring fun. But on a more serious not, they are looking more solid and hopefully have a good season ahead of them. the league looks pretty even so it will come down to form, tactics and a bit of luck.

first game

in two weeks time, the league will begin. so Rovers currently are preparing their team in order to compete in division 1 this season. the target for this season is to qualify for the Premier League. In order to achieve that, Rovers might bring in another two or three players to strengthen the team. The first game which be held on 17th august is to travel to face Carthage FC.

Nearly there

With only a couple of weeks until the new season starts, St Omer manager Cony Tottee is hopeful of doing some more wheeling and dealing in the transfer market.

Cony has several players for sale and is hopeful he can bring in some much needed cash to ensure training for all his players.

Out of cup

Kensington Boys Club were shot out of the cup by Bully Boys but..
"At least we are undefeated in the pre-season" as Patrikpatrik put it.
Following the cup failure, all blame was put on Guy dalton who was sacked as soon as the club could manage it. Now follows a period of gathering resources for the season to come. Stay tuned.

bonkers team

yes, we lost. yes, i think we deserved to win. How? Well, higher rates for every part of the team, defense, attack and midfield. More possesion in the game, so more chances on goals. We had a win bonus, they didn.t we were prepared, they were not. We were at hoem, they away. Yet we lost. This team has got to have the most random win/lose factor ever. One minute brillinat, the next aweful. Hopefull we can have a longer streak of brilliant this season and enjoy it as both a manager and team.

Aims for the season?

OAP Pop Punks spokesman Rolf Harris in association with the clubs sponsors Ovaltine and Werthers originals today revealed the clubs aims for the season:
"After a tricky time for various reasons last time around we feel we're actually weaker than last season, therefore the manager and chairman have sat down and come up with realistic aims for the season, we hope to avoid relegation, which we know will be a tough ask, Paddy has the utmost respect for managers like Izuka and Carbonmonoxide and he knows it will be a tough ask to compete with their sides and doubts they will struggle again this season, so its tough to judge who will be embroiled in a relegation battle"

"Our other aim is to injure as many Totaalvoetbal players as possible, game 4 and 19 have already been marked down in the calendar and a bonus will be issued to the player who injures the most Totaal players. We've already planned to play bruise and are working on an intensive course in the most effective ways of being violent and causing injury on a football pitch, we may not be able to challenge for the title but we aim to stop our hated rivals Totaal from being able to even field 11 players in the games after the ones with us."

It is believed the bad blood between Pop Punk and Totaal stems from a clash between the two managers during a recent encounter. Paddy Mckeever was knocked unconscious by RobinMeeblind with what Paddy described as a "lucky punch". Paddy has reportedly been training with Mike Tyson and taking steroids in preparation for the matches with Totaal.

Arsenal Out of Cup

Arsenal were sent out of the cup after a 3-2 defeat by the hands of The Vikings. Brown knew there was little chance of progression after 85% of the team was sold and replaced with youth.

Arsenal will now move their attention to the up coming season and the biggest challenge they have faced as they try to stay up with the youngest and weakest team in the top flight. It will be a long hard fight for all in the Arsenal camp

Who the duck is Djoxy?

Finally speaking since his return in an exclusive interview with Nucking Futs magazine, Paddy Mckeever had this to say:

"I was so quiet previously because I was always told if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all! But I'm ignoring that advice and coming out of hiding because of our upcoming friendlies with AC Milan. AC Milan as you should all know are managed by Djoxy. The general consensus from most people is that he's a fantastic manager and a lovely guy and in fact we would not have played any more games this pre season if the opportunity to play against a side managed by him hadn't arisen. But I just want to make one thing clear, Djoxy, we're coming for you. You might have everyone else fooled but not me! I know what you're really like you monster! You may even have me fooled as my friend and assistant in the CPU but here in the RMI, its on! and we will show no mercy to AC Milan!"

The transers contuine as Arsenal turn to youth to provide a future for the club, some stars have gone and replaced by youth. Brown has managed to find a double under rated player, he was up as an 18/3 but looking closer he was infact an 18/5, a great bit of business for the club

A History of Carthage FC

With the new season being created tomorrow, we take a quick look back at the history of Carthage FC from it's creation way back in season 2.

The Background - Day 1
Carthage FC was founded on the 28th December 2008 and was first called Lonsdale FC by a manager called Mcneilis, the manager however soon left 2 weeks later in some kind of sick joke. Lonsdale had been a mockery, and the club was shamed, someone needed to tell Mcneilis that a football club is for life, Not just for Christmas. Enter Blakey0500 a 'messiah' according to some legendary tales, a 'saviour' in others. Whoever this Blakey0500 was at the time. He was deemed my most as the unknown prospect....

...and so the story began.

Season 2 - 13th January 2009 - Pre Season.
Day 1 of Blakeys reign began, the team previously known as Lonsdale were reformed and reincarnated as Carthage FC, and as of this day, everything changed.

The club started life at the very bottom, division 3, with little prospects of promotion with a weak squad. However there was one little bright spark. A certain 17 year old with an incredible talent for football and his name was Emmanuel Edgehill, a true young talent of the old school days. In order for the club to progress this fine talent was sold for 17 000 004 econ which still to this day is a record that hasn't been broken. From here two veterans joined the fray Hannibal Barca and Marcus Spillane together with some great youths.

From here Carthage FC posed a threat, they finished 5th in their first season, and with the division shake up this earnt them a promotion into season 2, perhaps a little too soon for the team.

Season 3 - The Dark Ages
Season 3 began, and the team was still developing, even with 2 great talents, Blakey0500's side entered the dark ages of Carthage's history, the team was feeble and weak and finished 10th/12.

This meant one thing....

Relegation.

Blakey0500 was shamed as a manager. The team had gone backwards and were clearly not ready..

Season 4 - Hope
Times were changing in season 4, old greats were falling, previous champions were dwindling and one thing was certain. Carthage FC were finally ready. Oh boy were they ready and more determined than ever, Blakey0500 declared that he would take no prisoners, and so it was.

The season went on and no-one could stop them, victory after victory, that any Carthaginian would be proud of and in the end, the team prevailed. They had stormed to 1st position and were declared champions. That is when the legend was born, and the unknown became the known.

Season 5 - The Golden Age
With Carthage now promoted to Division 2, they maintained their momentum, the squad developed and they were impressive finishing 2nd place and promoted to Div 1

Was this success all too soon? Was the team strong enough for Div 1? Where would it all end? Some of the questions that have been left unanswered and merely carried on in legends.

Season 6 - The Waiting Game
Blakey0500 entered a period of patience, slowly building up his side, slowly catching up with his rivals with every change report. Season 6 proved the toughest challenge yet for Carthage FC, they finished 9th narrowly surviving relegation.

Blakey0500 patiently bided his time.

Season 7 - Battle Formations
This season marked the full intent of Carthage's ambition, going against some of the strongest sides to date, the all time greats of the football world, Blakey0500 pushed on, throwing everything they had at their rivals, however it wasn't to be enough and eventually they slipped away and narrowly missed out on promotion, finishing 4th.

All was not lost however, Carthage had been pushing and pushing slowly climbing up the tables. Never really setting the footballing world alight but gradually getting closer to the best teams of the past and this leads us to the present.

Season 8 - Let Slip the Dogs of War
2nd August 2010 - present day.

Carthage FC and Blakey0500 now enter season 8 after 6 seasons in charge. The team have have replicated their first season by selling their exceptional youth talent for 12 200 000 econ and are again bringing in 2 veteran stars to improve the team. The side have slowly progressed from the bottom of Division 3 and now fully expect promotion to the Premiership. The team have caught up with all the rival teams and at the start of the season will be guaranteed to have the Highest squad value of any team, and one of the strongest teams ever seen in the RMI. A worthy challenger to any team.

Blakey0500 has dedicated 6 seasons of hard graft to get this team to be the best. What was once an unloved joke of a team that nobody had heard of are now a fully flourishing side.

Legends say that Blakey0500 had it all planned from the beginning, others say that he made it up as he went along, but one thing that we don't need ancient legends to tell us, is that Carthage are top dog now and who knows what success is just round the corner.

Gooners News

Nothing new to report from Gooners camp for a change! Is a very quiet pre season with many players in high form... Gooners decided to sit out the pre season and train the few players that needed topping up! In their only pre season game Gooners beat Legends (at the time strongest squad in league) 3 - 1.

Youth department delivered the usual crap and the only signings currently on the horizon are ones that are cheap with potential to see a good return in cash whilst not needing so many games. Theres still time for something to happen and FMR is biding his time and saving what little funds he can!

Quarter Finals up next

Needarest are up against Splott Rovers in the next leg of the pre-season cup.

Not much is known of Splott Rovers by the Needarest manager, not because of Rovers being a new team or anything like that, its just that the Needarest gaffer hasn't done one iota of research or scouting for this game. When questioned about it he just had this to say ...

"We're goosed, its a long weekend here and its just been a haze of curry and booze"

The Vikings

After The Vikings got other manager during the second half of the season there was almost impossible to save the team out of the degradation. But majority of club's fans agree that manager stays in next season too and some results has already came in pe-season cup. The Vikings passed first two round and now in 3rd round there is waiting Arsenal DB and that means our promotion would be a suprise.

Shock score for Splott

Splott made it to the last eight in the cup thanks to a shock 8-2 win over FC Greatness. With both teams going for the win the first half was end to end, with new James Gränström going close on a couple of occasions in search of debut goal. At 2-2 the game was either teams to win, but it was Splott who put the result beyond doubt 7 minutes into the half thanks to a superb hat-trick from Gränström who was obviously just warming up before. With Splott dominating the goals continued to fly in, with nearly every shot resulting in a goal. Gränström ended up with the match ball and man of the match in his first game and the player looks like a really classy signing from CM. Splott fans are hoping they can go all the way in the cup after the lousy season just gone.

Bristol City out of cup, but not beaten

Bristol City manager Stevenson is disappointed to be knocked out of the cup in round one but feels in the long run it could be the best for the club. 'A cup run would have been nice but assuming we did not win it, my players form could be a problem when a loss finally came. At least this way I can continue to train the players and focus on making one big signing this summer'.

Vlad the Impaler off to fight new battle

Holgate Pathetics transfer dealings will continue today with veterans Les Dawson and Vlad the Impaler leaving the club this evening. Evil despot Vlad is spiked poles apart from 70's comic legend Les as a person however they have both had a major impact on the holgate dressing room over the last season. Les has laid on a number of improvised stand up routines to keep spirits up while Vlad has done his bit by killing the first born of any player who has underperformed.

Santos Offseason

As celebrations have dwindled down, Santos FC are keen to re-tool for season 8 at the RMI. The change report was satisfactory, although some of the youth players haven't developed as well as the manager thought they would have.

George Ling, a speedy fullback, has been brought in to accelerate the development on defence, considering this may very well be Felix Sandström's last season in the top flight. Ling was a costly purchase, and Santos have limited funds to spend on anymore players. For this week at least, Sean7 will stand pat as the team prepares for Flare United in the RMI cup.

Rebuilding..

Classic 11 boss Sir Linkinparkrocks has begun the rebuilding process of this new side..The season is 2 weeks away so the manager wants his side to have some strength in all aspects..The manager will surely bring in new players and he might fancy a friendly just before the start of the season..It will be a tough 1st season..

TCM bow out of the cup

After a 5-0 first round win against Crimea River, TCM bowed out of the cup following a 2-0 loss at home to Kirkbride Strollers.

RDCM was keen to ensure his men exitted the cup early to allow his side to concentrate on the coming season in top flight.

Reserve keeper Ion Avellino has been slapped on the transfer list as the gaffer tries to generate funds to strengthen in other key areas, he is hoping for at least 4.5 million econ to ensure he gets the players he needs.

United transfers

This pre-season, Flare United have made only one transfer deal so far in the form of Craig Elliston's departure to a small Welsh team. However, a United official has leaked a little bit of info to the media which has caused quite a stir.

"Izuka has got a couple of big deals lined up, two huge names, a defender and a midfielder. He may leave the club broke if the deals go through, but those deals should carry us through the season as well," said the anonymous official to a reporter in a secluded corner of a bar yesterday.

Meanwhile, United are still going strong in the RMI Cup, though a coming match against Santos FC may well prove to be their downfall.

Marino Causes Stir at Metelo

Totaalvoetbal spent the past week attempting to finalise their squad for the upcoming season.

First in the door was experienced defender Raimundo Tena from Bristol City. Bringing in no little talent to add to his experience it is thought that Tena will provide a direct replacement for the now retired Jaap Cruz.

Totaalvoetbal were then boosted on Thursday as their youth coach informed them of a special talent waiting to join the first team. Marino van Buren made the step up and is rated as an 8m superstar already with a penchant for hitting wonder free-kicks. His arrival certainly captured the imagination of the fans who flocked to the training ground to catch an early glimpse of their new player.

Then, earlier today, Geraldo Ayala came in to provide cover for Ard Leemans in goal. A steady ‘keeper, Ayala is coming into his prime, and will give reliable cover should anything happen to the number one cat.

Changes

Arsenal are undergoing some major changes as Brown ships out 90% of the team and replacing them with youth players.

The aim is to try and stay up while building a youth team, the team will more then likely go down but its something to aim for. Many fans are questioning this choice but Brown felt the team was going nowhere and needed some fresh young faces.

On the plus side of things, Arsenal are having a decent cup run, they are through to the last 8 but have a tough game against the Vikings next

Change Report More Than Expected

Manager celebrates the development values.

With many of his players hovering around the 15 mark for development it was almost a certainty as to which players would increase in skill, with only one having to wait another season before seeing any benefits of the training programme designed by the patented Crimea River Train-U-Matic training system.

After spending millions of Econ on training and constantly trying to keep all his youth talents involved the manager was not surprised at a significantly above average change report.

"It was always going to be a bit of a test this season. The new development value was pretty easy to manage, even with so many young players that needed game time. And there was a level of concern that the reduction of the base form for a young player would adversely affect the side’s development. Luckily we didn't hamstring ourselves with any concern for staying in the division and stuck with our long term plans to develop this unimpressive side."

Change report less than expected

Manager bemoans the development values.

With many of his players hovering around the 14 mark for development it was a roulette as to which players would increase in skill, and which others would have to wait another season before seeing any benefits of the training programme designed by the manager.

After spending millions of Econ on training and constantly trying to keep all his fringe players happy and youth talents involved the manager was not surprised at the less than average change report.

"It was always going to be a bit of a test this season. The new development value was difficult to manage, especially with so many young players that needed game time. We had to think about survival in this division along with the long term plans to develop this unimpressive side."

Promising run out

Barnsley Chop FC had a promising first run out under new manager with a 2-0 win over division one newcomers FC Bayern Munchen with goals from Raul and De la Red. New manager Steve was reasonably happy quoting "We worked the ball well created enough chances but should have converted more we have another game lined up against Carthage FC which will allow to look at some more of the squad.

Latest from Carthage FC

Welcome back to Sky Sports News (coming soon in HD), with me the sexy Georgie Thompson... hubba hubba.

We have the latest news from Carthage FC highlighting some of the upcoming changes to the team.

Blakey0500 has been busy in the transfer market, with their 20/7 up and coming goalie being sold to Man City for an extortionate 12.2million, a phenomenal fee for such a player who only cost the side 1.5mil the season before. this has ultimately led to a change of plan for Blakey0500.

"well we were going to bring in one talented defender with that sale however we believe we can stretch to bringing in two fantastic veteran defenders instead. Some of the dead wood defenders will make way, and we've already placed a bid on a promising defender."

"our youth striker will also make way to fund the training costs, and then that'll be our business done for the season, of course it depends on whether we can bring that right players in, but we're pretty optimistic."

"expect us to have one of the strongest teams in the whole of the RMI, promotion is now looking a great shout for Carthage FC and anything less will be a huge disappointment, bring it on."

*Blakey0500 blows a kiss to Georgie* mmmm meow :D

Sales?

Cony Tottee today placed three players on the transfer market (including two keepers) as he looks to raise funds for training.

Being lazy though he couldn't be bothered to post up the players names, instead suggesting people have a look at the transfer market.

Arsenal have decided to sell most their players and bring in youth. they are hoping that keeping their main stars and bringing in new youth players they can hold on in the RMI and devolp a new team, one that has a future and some direction.

K-Boys against B-boys in cup

Kensington Boys Club are through to the next round after a fantastic result against young side AC Milan.

But they fail once again to live up to expectations. Despite being superior strength-wise they let AC Milan into the game early on and conceded two fine goals in 20 minutes before turning around to beat the Italian side.

This does not look good for the home game against rivals Bully Boys who have been clearly beaten by the Boys Club in seasons past but now are a fierce competitor to recieve promotion next season with a team that according to Patrikpatrik
"..looks extremely good. I mean, really good. They look fantastic. Sulo Tolvanen's hair is among the greatest in the division."

KBC have a lot to do tomorrow in order to win the coveted cup trophy after so many seasons of failure and mullets.

Post season analysis

Looking back over last season, despite only just surviving on the last day, it doesn’t look all bad for the future of Splott, Manager CM spoke to the press in preseason training and said “although we finished where we deserved, looking back we were fairly solid – only losing 6 games and conceded 25 goals, a lots less than some of the teams above us. Our problem was scoring and that’s why we only won 4 games all season. After a decent change report and the signing of new striker James Gränström we hope to improve this time around.” Focus now goes to the cup and a difficult match against FC Greatness.

"Coutinho" New Star At Greatness!

Philippe Coutinho Correia (born 12 June 1992), also known as Philipe Coutinho, is a Brazilian footballer. He is currently at F.C. Greatness. In the summer of 2008 he signed for F.C. Greatness for €3.8 million, although he remained on loan to Vasco de Gama until June 2010.
Philippe has just finished his loan at Vasco and has been officially signed by Greatness and will began the 2010/2011 season with his new team. Coach Darren Calvert has been quotes saying that "Coutinho is the future of Greatness" and that he looks very promising. He will most liekly play alongside up front in the trequartista position or Benafri will push forward into his natural position while Coutinho will play behind the front two. Coutinho is expected to achieve big things with Greatness and some even say he may even start Inter's first pre-season game against Splott Rovers tomorrow.

Naughty! Naughty! Cardone!

Recently Massimiliano Cardone behaved like a real jerk when out clubbing and was seen touching several of the female guests. Someone had a camera and the next day the photographs were all over the front page of the local paper. Fortunately Massimiliano Cardone is one of those guys who does not care much about what other people think

Takeover bid successful

Real Madrid have released the following press statement
"On 28/7/2010 the board have relunctantly been taken over by a consortium of Yorkhire butchers who have renamed the team Barnsley Chop FC and have appointed a whippet trainer as the new manager". A spokesman for the consortium said "We believe and trust Steve and we know he will bring success to the club. We have arranged a friendly for Friday and the consortium will provide free pies for all the fans"

Welcome to all our latest recruits!!

Welcome to our 2 newest managers......

STEVE532000 who has taken over Real Madrid.

Linkinparkrocks who has taken over a brand new club Classic 11.

The new season will be created on or around August 3rd, I cannot create any earlier than 2 weeks before the season start date unfortunately :)

Milan fal short in epic!

Milan put in an honourable display against Kensington in possible the game of the round. Milan went down 3-2 and may feel a little agrieved at the result after being 2-0 up, but a fine even game saw the better team win just about.

Milan take confidence from the performance especially as all but 2 of the players had forms under 8.

Milan will now concetrate on other friendlies in their pre-season preperation.

straight

OUT! Bonkers proved that DV was worse than thought, and the cup an impossibility. We got our .... handed to us. But that is fine, we have a young team and we just ahve to keep playing well and putting in the training. But next up is some friendly chaos agains those funny, weird africans. I have to show them that SA world cup was all about the spainish bonkers.

Fernão Rachão Retires!!!!!

Fernão Rachão born 11 August 1966, is a former Portugise goalkeeper who played more than 600 competitive matches in Portugal. He played for FC Porto where he became the first £1million goalkeeper in Portugal football and also won the Goalkeeper of year 6 times. Rachão then left to spend six seasons at Madrid as a understudy. He went on to win 96 Portugal caps. After joined F.C. Greatness, following three seasons. He is currently the goalkeeping coach at Greatness coaching new signing Robert Simunovic.

Robert Simunovic born 8 January 1979 in Split is a Croatian goalkeeper who currently played for Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow and the Croatian national team, for whom he made 20 appearances.

Simunovic made his Croatia debut as a 17-year-old against Denmark in 2008, winning plaudits for his cat-like reflexes and shot-stopping. Simunovic has blossomed, making full use of every centimetre of his 1.93-metre frame and possessing a far greater assurance when dealing with difficult high balls. Now with a 2.3m signing reported will be pushing Darren Calvert for first choice.

Ready for Promotion

Blakey0500 has declared Carthage FC finally ready to achieve promotion. After coming up from division 3 a few seasons back, Blakey's side have developed perfectly. After a fairly successful change report the team are looking strong and finally have their average age up which shall make a huge difference.

Blakey0500 hinted at selling his double jumping goalie to raise some funds. If all goes to plan, we will also look to spend our budget on that one special player, most likely a high skilled veteran defender. Our squad is shaping up nicely, we still have young players developing and with one star signing the team will be major contenders in the promotion race.

The transfer markets a bit volatile at the moment, but we have experience in this area. We can bring in exceptional stars, Blakey0500 stated that "we're a big name team, soon to be one of the biggest, we'll get our player before the season starts".

Carthage FC play Totaalvoetbal tomorrow in round 1 of the cup. A tough challenge for any team, but one we'll relish.

Bristol City board back manager

The board of Bristol City have backed the manager despite the team being relegated to division 2. In a statement to the press, the board confirmed that they had encouraged the manager to develop the teams youth players and accepted the risk that they may get relegated. In a leaked report produced by the board, they consider a season in division 2 as a good team building opportunity and fully expect the team to be promoted straight back to division 1 next season. Manager Stevenson was unavailable for comment other than the following written statement:-

'It will be a good opportunity for us to further develop the youth team next season without having to field the strongest possible team week in week out. The players will flourish and we will come back stronger next season'.

Fond Farewell

Tonight David Rocastle will retire from Xpert eleven, Only signed two seasons ago by FMR and Gooners... David had a massive influence in both their promotions and title winning seasons. This season he scored four goals but they were big match winning goals and it was his experince that saw Gooners through troubled times.

His best performance at Gooners found him rated as 12... which is quite astonishing as he has only ever been a 7 skill player since arriving.

His career in RMI/Gooners was a good one playing 34 games in two seasons, collecting 12 points along the way and scoring 7 goals. The pacy right sided midfielder will always be remembered as one the players that made history in a Gooners shirt...

Signed two seasons ago for 1 million econ, the manager was quoted as saying:

"we got all the return we expected from david on the pitch and imo it was money very well spent and we wish him all the best whatever he decides to do".

Cesc Fabregas is expected to be Davids immediate replacement on the right, whilst Borja is the man expected to provide the experience needed for the younger players to get enough match experience. Although FMR has made previous comments about tracking a certain midfielder... no one is currently sure wether it is experience, youth or skill he is looking to add to his current crop.

Lemochi Sacked

29/6 defender, Lemochi has today been sacked.

'We thank Lemochi gratefully for his contribution to Bully Boys FC. We respect him very much. He knew he would take part in the training and only be a reserve but he did a great job in his 3 games to help out the side. We wish Lemochi the best of luck in his future'

Eclectic Shock

The season might have ended as it began, with defeat to Holgate Pathetic, but the real story of the week for Crimea River was securing perhaps the most least expected result of the season as the home side saw off manager-less Crimson Tigers 2-0.

Jing Xuan Ang and Carl Spegel grabbed the goals as the River kids secured the result that served up a giant slice of humble pie to the boss that boldly claimed pre-season his side would finish win-less, goal-less and point-less at the end of the season.

So division 3, or the land of the youth teams, finally beckons and River are firmly expected to be one of the sides in the hunt for the coveted 12th spot in the table.

Izuka gets to work

Flare United manager Izuka has been busy managing his team all season, but now that the season is over, he has finally found the time to get all his players together and evaluate them to get a true idea of their position in the team.

"All season, I've been playing them like the previous managers did, but over the next few hours, myself and my coaching staff will evaluate the players from every possible aspect to get a true idea of their skill, and quite a few players who thought they were guaranteed a spot in the squad might find themselves on the transfer market!" said Izuka to the press earlier today. "This is an exercise I carry out every pre-season to get an idea of how each player has grown throughout the season, I like to call it a 'change report'," he added.

No Stroll In The Park

Gooners overcame all odds yesterday when they completed an almost unthinkable season by beating West Brom Strollers to grab the first silverware in the clubs history. Just getting through the last six games was deemed too much by many, when @peace was asked his opinion his response was "impossible, you will need a miracle!” Then to get so close to the trophy... only to have to beat recent league champions West Brom (managed by Tal, under FMR's recommendation) was simply to agonizing for many a Gooners fan.

Gooners had promised a DV focused line up, but FMR had made some last minute changes due to playing style and the match referee. Gooners players looked focused and up for the task ahead... Gooners would have been hoping for West Brom to send out a second string side and saved their pennies for next season rather than slap on a win bonus with nothing at stake. It was not the case though and it seems Strollers were totally set on winning the game and no favours were forth coming.

As the game got underway it became apparent Gooners squad had been sent out with orders to hold nothing in reserve and take no prisoners... As we had seen earlier in the season against Bristol City, Gooners seemed to be getting the benefit of the doubt though and ironically most of the decisions went in Gooners favour. In only the third minute Gooners were awarded the first free kick of the game... Borja managed to fire on target but Valdezuka was equal to the effort. Gooners continued the offensive early on maintaining possession; in the twelfth minute Henry had a clear cut chance that somehow managed to find the crossbar rather than the net.

Although it was Gooners who were leaving nothing to chance in the tackle, it would be Brown who picked up the first booking... the Strollers faithful were far from impressed! Gooners kept possession well and in the 25th minute Bergkamp’s searching pass found Borja, once he had collected the ball the after burners were on and the moment he found the extra yard the trigger was pulled and Valdezuka was found wanting. The celebration was short and sweet as Gooners were more than aware one goal was never going to be enough and with plenty of time still on the clock, it was only going to make things harder. Straight away Strollers responded controlling possession and forcing Gooners back. On the 31st minute young Steve Bould made a lunge in his own box and without hesitation the ref pointed to the spot!

Tony Brown looked the obvious candidate for taking the penalty, but after some intervention from the manager Darren Moore was given the nod. FMR was now pacing and chewing like a man possessed... as the ref blew FMR dropped to his knees and closed his eyes.... Seaman who was reportedly playing his last game for Gooners guessed right and tipped the ball over, the stadium went silent for the next few seconds before the fans roared in delight. Not so many miles away Greatness had taken the lead against Carthage and nothing other than a win was going to be enough for Gooners, Highbury was now at boiling point and all those in red were in full voice.

Strollers now controlled the game but were unable to break Gooners down; Rocastle who was only picked in the dyeing minutes over Silva took one for the team and was booked in the 40th minute. He shrugged it off as if laughing at the ref... This was his last game before retirement and he was totally focused on going out on a high. West Brom were relentless though and had a freekick awarded in the 43rd minute, with no renowned dead ball specialist on the pitch Moore stepped up again but low in confidence and without much power behind the shot Seaman again made it look simple. Soon after the ref blew for half time, score from the other game was now one all after Carthage equalised... it did not change FMR’s half time talk and win at all cost was the message!

Gooners attacked from the whistle in the second half taking the game to West Brom, in the 46th minute Fabregas tried to lift it over the keeper who dealt with it easily. Early signs were good though and in the 51st minute Henry broke free, Valdezuka came off his line early again and this time Henry made sure... hands were on mouths as they waited for his lob to drop and when it did, the noise from the home support was immense! Rocastle though had left his pass too late and Henry had wandered offside... goal disallowed, FMR was now a worried man and knew the last 40 minutes would be anything but comfortable. Gooners had given everything they had and could not maintain this pace much longer.

Strollers found an opening five minutes later through Regis...whose header was off target, the game had opened up massively now and it was becoming end to end. A roar had gone up from the home support as news filtered through of a Carthage goal... this meant they would win whatever the outcome against Strollers but FMR knew there was still much time for things to change and began pacing ever harder and pushing his troops onwards. On the 61st minute Regis was stretchered off and it seemed as if Strollers goal threat was lessening, Gooners began to control the majority of possession again and the home support was now in full song as if the celebrations were already underway.

Kyle Lang in his 100th appearance for the club had the chance to kill the game off in the 83rd minute but miscued completely, Lee Hughes for West Brom saw his header saved in the 86th minute and Seaman was looking like the player of old before injury wrecked his career. Strollers finished the half the stronger of the two teams but Gooners defence remained strong, the ref played an extra three minutes of time before finally putting the Gooners fans and FMR out of their misery!

News in the other game was that Carthage had beaten Greatness and Gooners would have won whatever the outcome, although to finish the season in the fashion they did will mean everything to these players! Tears of joy were found all around the pitch... many had simply collapsed where they stood... which is more than understandable because this is a team that won due to giving everything not only in this game but every time they took to the field, it is a story of a massive under dogs and there will not be another set of supporters prouder than those that packed this stadium today!

Holgate set sights for new season

Holgate Manager Riverside Shep is preparing for a new season where promotion is seen as a must by the clubs fans and board. Following Shep's arrival the club dropped just 2 points in nine games and with four games to go had managed to make a late bid for promotion. It wasnt to be this year but with the few final games devoted to development the club are looking forward optimistically to the next season.

They are not however looking optimistic to a cup game with Bayern Munich.....

Cath Content With Season

It has been a good season, our DV is alright and we finished in a nice position. Next season, we aim for higher but we get to that later.

Well done to RDCM, Daz, fmr for promotion. RDCM was quite consistent this season and deserved his promotion, Daz has been a passionate manager in this league for so long and deserves it and fmr...well im not gonna say too much, after my promotion, it was deemed 'a fluke' so i'll keep quiet because I AM gracious.

Aside from that, we look forward to next season as we steadily make our way up with a very successful side.

Our main threats for next season are Carthage and Legends but other threats will be there. I'm not looking forward to playing Kensington at all! Blakey is just ****ing dangerous. I hate being in a division with him after last season while Legends will be looking for revenge after failing to be promoted a season ago after we beat them...

Special congratulations to Sean7 who deserved the title this season. He is a great lad and has taken his team from the foot to the tip of the mohawk of this league (which was carefully applied by hair specialist, RDCM along with the stylish new League Logo).

Next season in the top division will be a tough one but if Totaal don't go all youth I feel it is theirs but Rob and his Totaalidiots side will always be aware of other threats, especially Santos who seem to nearly always beat the shit out of Totaal, ah well :D

Heartache No Cruz for Jaap

At the end of a week which saw Totaalvoetbal take four points from their two games, Jaap Cruz slumped to the ground in the knowledge that it hadn’t been enough to claim the club’s second crown.

An equaliser two minutes from time for Splott on Tuesday meant that Totaal were in third going into the last round of games and would need favours from both Stanley and Kirkbride whilst winning themselves to be crowned champions.

William Ralph Dean and Antonello Ballarin would ensure that the victory over Pahang would never be in doubt and, for a brief moment, it looked like it might be enough.

However, while Stanley were defeating ThunderCats, league-leading Santos were faring better in their crunch clash. Buoyed by a disallowed Kirkbride goal, Santos would take the lead on 29 minutes from the spot and they would never be pegged back.

It would all be too much for Cruz who had hoped to leave Totaal a champion. However, he would leave broken. He might well have been looking back to that fateful clash with Santos where he put through his own goal with under 10 minutes to go. This would give the Brazilians a crucial boost and see them embark on a startling run.

The fans won’t blame him, though. In 47 starts he had been given team of the round honours no less than 31 times and has been a model of consistency in a strong defensive unit. It will be scant consolation for the colossus but he should look back with pride on his time at Totaal when he dons his slippers and pipe in the coming years.

For now, though, this leader of men waved away reporters and sought solace with his teammates with whom he has stood shoulder-to-shoulder all season.

He left the speaking to Robin Meeblind:
“Of course I’m disappointed but more proud of their efforts,” opened the coach.
“It just wasn’t to be and we can accept that. We have been beaten by a champion side and a quality manager. We wish Sean and his Santos players the very best of celebrations tonight.

“Us? You can be sure we’ll get together and give Jaap the send-off he deserves. He’s been superb for us and we’ll miss him.

"Thank you and see you all next season."

Promoted!

A 2-1 victory at home to White Hawk FC ensured that These Charming Men were promoted to the RM Invitational.

An 19th minute goal from Tord Jakobson gave TCM an early lead, however it took White Hawk just 5 minutes to get back on level terms.

The winner however came from a 40th minute Jorge Carril freekick, to ensure TCM fans would be celebrating a second successive promotion.

A Vida é Bela!

One by one, the players stepped onto the stage, surrounded by a buzzing crowd anxious to see the celebrations commence. At the stadium’s west end, a sea of yellow were dancing and jumping, chanting the infamous.

First stepped Santos goalkeeper John Lukic. A former youth prospect from Gooners, the shot stopper would soon be etched into Santos folklore as the man who won the game against Kirkbride Strollers, stopping freekicks and a denying crucial breakaway to seal the victory and the title. Not called on many occasions over the course of the season, the young man would be burdened with Santos quest for the RMI title, as veteran keeper Alvar Rodenas lost form over the latter stages of the season. Lukic kept two clean sheets in crucial games, commanding the box with authority.

Next up were Felix Sandström and Maicon, Santos’ greatest and most valued defenders. The lynchpin of the defensive corps, the established X11 man gave a calming presence and Maicon slotted in at the heart of defence to form a formidable partnership, and setting an accomplished undefeated run at Estádio do Deus.

Per-Anders Fajersson was next to the stage, followed by Robbie Mitchell. The 33 year old’s first season with Santos was inspired, providing crucial goals and quality up top to shoulder opposition tactics. Robbie Mitchell’s breakout season was rewarded with a career best 12 goals, good for 3rd in the RMI, and the adulation of Santos supporters worldwide as an RMI legend in the making.

The away supporters roared when Rogério França’s name was called. The midfield prodigy began his football career within the modest confines of Santos youth academy in RMI’s first season, as a mere youth with promise. Six seasons later, his skill was on a meteoric rise, as he lead the squad to an offensive force, winning the accolades as top point man in RMI season 6, yet falling short of the golden goose that was the RMI title. 22 matches later, the 29th minute would be the defining moment of the trequartista’s life, encapsulating drawn breaths of supporters, a career, a club’s success into a single kick.
Was there any doubt? França’s 5th goal of the season would be the most important of his career, giving Santos the lead, the win, and the title. Tears streamed down his face, the joy of a boy who someday dreamed of making it on the big stage.

Chants of ‘o capitão’ were sung, as Santos first and only captain, Marcelo Afonso was the final player to receive his medal. Part of the original eleven when Santos were created, Afonso had been through all the hardships and successes of Santos. From nearly winning the top division in season 3, to scraping through a relegation battle in season 6, the captain was the embodiment of Santos FC as a football club and institution. Watching old friends Asmar Golkas and Fredrick Winnerljung leave, the captain would lead a young but energetic core in the midfield. Fortune would be bitter to the Santos man as he was forced to leave the game early in the first half due to injury. However, his entire effort was capped off with the moment of his life. Needless to say, when asked the first name they think of when they hear Santos FC, Afonso is that name.

Quietly in the shadows, Sean7 the Santos manager stood. From relegation dogfights to last minute heartbreaking losses, now vindicated with the great victory of winning the RMI top division.

‘It’s been a journey, but this is what all the training sessions, the tactics prep, the winning bonuses is all for. I want to give a special thanks to Kev and Baz, certainly made it a challenging and nerve-wracking affair. Tactics, form, and a lot of luck were needed to reach this far. Thanks to all the supporters for sticking with Santos, this one’s for you! By the way, has anyone seen Panu Sarapää?’
The reporters chuckled, as Panu was brought in for 6 million econ as a 9 star MF, only to quit a season later to stalk Lady Gaga and form a dancing troupe.

The crowd noise reached a crescendo, as the chairman handed Marcelo Afonso the RMI trophy. Arms raised, sweat and blood staining the golden yellow jersey, the captain swung the trophy in the air, streamers of blue and yellow sailing in the wind, the jubilation of faces around him, eyes staring forward into the future, yet fixed in the present. It’s not easy playing Xpert Eleven, but rewards like these make the experience worth it. Santos FC!!!!

Another Defeat

Arsenal were left feeling down as they lost again. Going from leading the pack to being 10 points from the top is a tough one to take. Brown is thinking about selling anyone under 20 and starting again. He has invited offers for all his players as he plans a mass clear out

Great Season Over

PSV fans cheered their team through out the 90mins as they finished their season on a high with a home victory despite being 1 man down after Collato was sent off. Going into the game my only aim was to avoid injuries and weve just done that. I see that Juventus were teasing us leaving us 3 points off them. Im happy none the less, the best team won the league as always and we finished a deserved 2nd. Being a very young team, this is a fantastic season which will be topped off with hopefully a good Change Report,. PSV fans have also voted Petrur their player of the season. The young defender has been an ever presence figure in the team all season. A well derserved accolade,

Milan say goodbye to a Legend!

AC Milan said goodbye to Paddy McCarthy this evening and he put in a performance to remember for his last game for the club. McCarthy put on a masterclass in defence to earn his side a clean sheet against one of the strongest teams in the division.

100 and out is the way McCarthy descirbed his game, he'll be in the clubs hall of fame next year and will not be forgotten.

Exciting end to the season

Only a win will give Splott Rovers any chance of survival tomorrow night against Arsenal DB, and even that might be enough. Quite simply we haven't been good enough, we never replaced the quality of Badger and Punisher and have had an average age of well under 26 for most games this season. Whether we survive or not the manager has pledged to bring in some experienced heads next season.

Welcome to all our new managers!!

Apologies for a slightly belated welcome to the following managers over the past few weeks.......

Mr.J who joined ALLORNOTHING.

Lampard250 who joined Pahang United.

DaXtremist who joined London Gunners.

Manupoo who joined Crimson Tigers

and finally welcome to our latest manager

deanmagoo who has taken over AFC Boo Boys .

Good Luck to all with your new clubs for the new season :)

in or out?

With good performance and some luck we were able to beat Pahang United in pre-last season's round. With thosethree points we came to a situation which gives us hope to avoid degradation! But it won't be all up to us. All possible scenarios that leave us there are begining with our win with Flare United, further rsult are not up to us...

what

Ok, I am really struggling with this development value in this league!!! Is anyone else sturggling as well. In other leagues, I have found the development value ot be very useful, but here, I just cant seem to get enough games. I have 20 year olds playing 15 odd games and yet have DV less than their average form. Are my old palyers that crap, and the teams I am playing against less skille,d I don't think so. So I do not expect a good change report at teh end of the season, sadly. Maybe it will have to be smaller squads here from now on.

Holgate ended the season early

Holgate Pathetic manager Riverside Shep was largely unconcerned by today's defeat at home to Legends. Holgate's outside chance of promotion dissapeared two games ago and the end of the season is being used to blood youngsters and prepare for next season.
Todays line up included three 18 year olds and a midfield with only one player over 20, It bodes well for next season when promotion is a definate target.

In my defence your honour....

there is, well, nothing!

After todays match Special Ones manager was left scratching his head, as he picks his starting eleven for the next match. In fact even one of his prize strike duo is also abscent after the side collected five yellow cards in the last game.

3 of these five players were already one card away from a booking, which means ajtrader is forced to pick a half-arsed side against possibly the strongest side in the league.

"The timing couldn't be worse, the three goal hammering that the lads got today is going to be nothing compared to the next match. I've already submitted a request to the RMI FA that I am allowed to play six goalkeepers just to keep the match fair and the result at least semi-respectable. I'm awaiting their response."

A game to forget!

That was the only way AC Milan manager Djoxy1983 could descibe his feelings after seeing his team go 3-1 down to Espada. Despite controlling all the possesion the teams lack of shots and key injries to their 2 best players in the first half meant they had little inspiration left in the team and without any leaders they crumbled.

Espada may well have planned to take out Milan's 2 best players but there was certainly no evidence of this. Milan are now cursing them though as their defender they had hopes for a skill increase come the end of the season but the players dv has now gone below 15 following the massive drop in his form and injury sustained in this game.

Milan will now take it easy and give which ever players need an extra game the chance in the final game of the season against Morley Town on Friday.
