Kirkbride ensured the title race would go right down to the final day as they edged West Brom in the battle of the Strollers on Christmas Day. Brian Wills stoked the fires early in the game with a calmly executed lobbed finish over Godden to put Kirkbride ahead on three minutes. However, Cyrille Regis had a lob of his own to answer on 16 minutes and both sides had shown a clinical nature in front of goal with their first chance. Mark Blacklock would then have a shot saved by Godden before Wills headed in his second of the game to put Kirkbride back in front. West Brom were indebted to Godden again before half-time as he denied Wills a hat-trick goal from a well-placed header. West Brom responded after the break but found their touch in front of goal had deserted them. A free-kick saw Billy Bassett force Hill into a decent save and the ‘keeper would be in action again three minutes later to save at the feet of Regis. Regis would be denied once more on 76 minutes as his side-footed shot was blocked by Hill and the home side had the points they craved. Jazza knows that his team did everything that could have been asked of them and they will be looking to defeat Stanley and hoping that Manchester United can do them a favour in their match against West Brom. DD had an uneasy look on his face following the match but he’s experienced enough to know that a point will still clinch the club’s first ever RMI title.
The Vikings’ title hopes look to be all-but over as a narrow victory over Sanity Clause left them with a massive goal difference to overhaul even if results did go their way. They would be shocked early in the game as Lenny Melaugh rounded Raasch on five minutes to slot home for Clause. The Vikings would get into their stride and saw Aris Almanidis hit the bar with a thumping free-kick on eight minutes. The defender would have another go on the stroke of half-time and this time he managed to beat Widlund and avoid the woodwork to bring the visitors level. They took this momentum into the start of the second-half and Marcus Young’s powerful low strike gave them a 2-1 advantage on 57 minutes. Sten Stille headed wide for the hosts before Ginel Aluna also failed to put his drive on target as Clause desperately looked for a way back into the contest. However, it would be The Vikings who nearly added to their tally as Benjamin Foran narrowly avoided scoring an own goal before Almanidis had another free-kick thwarted. Viking Land News reported that Eaglesrjh was ‘looking at what might have been’ as his side realise the title is just out of reach. Crismorena will again be happy with the competitive nature of his side and he will be hopeful they can make the next step and start winning games when Season 6 begins.
ThunderCats delivered an excellent away performance to keep up their good work under Baz leaving Manchester United beaten 4-0 at Old Trafford. Silvio Falcao began the away side’s dominance by finishing well after a corner on five minutes. Jake Sephton would then see his lob saved by Kuszczak before Eric Cantona forced Magro into an outstanding stop from United’s first chance of the day. Carlos Partini would then double ThunderCats’ lead with a precise header and substitute ‘keeper Ursu protected it by saving from a Fabio da Silva lob. Falcao was unlucky not to score his second of the day with a chip which hit the bar while United responded with a Darren Gibson free-kick which was some way off target. The second-half saw ThunderCats dominate and they scored an early goal as Paulino Ornelas steered home a fine shot in the area on 46 minutes. Nelson Queimado hit a wild shot a minute later while another Gibson free-kick at the other end was off-target. Falcao saw a header tipped over by the ‘keeper before a bicycle kick from Sephton went wide as the visitors upped the tempo. Sephton would get his goal on 63 minutes with an excellent header to put his side in cruise mode. They did have late chances with Borja hitting a free-kick wide before having another chance punched away by Kuzszcak. United’s day got worse when Severin Gran was sent-off for arguing and they nearly topped it off as Micky Wyatt came perilously close to putting through his own goal. Baz will be hopeful his side can finish on a high in a big match against The Vikings on Tuesday but whatever the outcome they look in good hands going into next season. Pakya returned to the helm on Saturday and he will have prepared his side for their important final game where West Brom will be looking to clinch the title.
Santos and Bryan Adams Athletic were involved in an exciting game at Estadio do Deus with the home side prevailing by the odd goal in five. With plenty of chances the fans wouldn’t be short-changed this Christmas Day and an early free-kick saw Eadbhard Liffey go close for Athletic. Simon Teske would then put a header over before Santos had their first chance; Asmar Golkas heading home to give them a 31st minute lead. Robbie Mitchell then produced an excellent diving header which in turn produced a fabulous save from Sapienza. The second-half would see even more excitement and a lob by Miles Madeley fired a warning to the hosts before the same player hit a post after beating Rodenas with a neat effort. Simon Teske would finally level matters with a lopping header on 51 minutes but Santos responded immediately and Mitchell side-footed in to restore their advantage. Adriano Ribeiro would then head straight at Sapienza before Mitchell hit the angle with another header as the home side began to find gaps in their opponent’s rearguard. However, the game would twist once more on 68 minutes as Teske shot in for his second of the game to tie the contest. Mitchell was having a standout day, though, and he wouldn’t be denied a winning goal; launching himself to meet a Ribeiro cross he connected sweetly with a diving header which left Sapienza well-beaten. Still Athletic might have gotten something out of the contest but a header from Marten Wessman went over the bar and the points belonged to Santos. Sean will be hoping his side can finish fifth with a last day win but he will also want more consistency next season as his side search for that elusive first title. SLS called it a ‘nice win for Santos’ but explained that the match was a success for his side also as they ‘got a few players up or closer to 100% ME.’
AFC Stanley enjoyed a 2-0 home win over Hun Haters in a comfortable performance. Tyrone Stanley lobbed a 12th minute header over before Dijedon Betimaj had a further header saved by Boruc. Iain Emery would see his lob bounce unluckily off the angle and from this point on his side would play second-fiddle to a determined home team. Cal McMac scored the first with an excellent lob from outside the area on 44 minutes and they would continue to be the better side after the break. Per-Elvis Granander made it 2-0 with a fine header on 49 minutes and he saw a half-volley saved by Boruc as he looked for a quick-fire double. This would prove the last chance of the day but it would be a satisfactory one for Markham. The manager explained that his side have given ‘youth a chance’ and this ‘can only bode well for next season’ in what promises to be the toughest RMI to date. Celticchris will be leading his side in Division One for the very first time but with cash to spend and an experienced man at the helm this may just be a blip for one of the RMI’s founder members.
Underdogz United coasted to a 2-0 home victory over Totaalvoetbal to draw level on points with their beaten foes. All of the action took place in a first-half which saw United dominate their young opponents. Alfred Calascione was unfortunate not to put them in front on three minutes as his lob header hit the woodwork and United suffered more bad luck as Robin van Izu’s powerful low shot struck a post four minutes later. Cristiano Izuldo would give them a deserved lead on 15 minutes when he precisely headed past Leemans. Leemans would make a comfortable save from a Zlatan Izuhimovic header on 24 minutes but the ‘keeper couldn’t prevent van Izu getting his goal from another header four minutes later. Totaal would create a chance of their own but Shirsh Vajpayee’s diving header brushed a post and they went in two goals adrift. The second-half was played out with little or no incident and United emerged triumphant with three points. UU News called it a ‘decent win over a young Totaalvoetbal’ while Robin Meeblind simply said, ‘roll on next season.’

Division One D-Day
White Hawk remain top of Division One after a tough 0-0 draw with fellow promotion hopefuls AC Milan. The game would be a closely matched affair throughout as both sides chased the all-important points. Bernard Lormor looked to have put Milan in front on 16 minutes but a wrong offside call would ultimately prove costly. Savino Piovanelli would shoot wide with their next chance while Ryan Dharmsingh did likewise at the other end. Piovanelli would struggle with his accuracy again with his next effort while Hindle kept Milan level by gathering at the feet of Somaroe. The second-half would see just a chance each and neither side would be able to make the crucial breakthrough. Quigley Addison wasted a free-kick opportunity for Milan while Dharmsingh was unfortunate when his header hit the woodwork for Hawk. The point leaves Hooraymee’s side at the top of the table and they know a victory over the Amateurs on Tuesday will leave them celebrating the title. Xmensch said that his side ‘are very satisfied with the second-half of the season’ but they will still be going all out for a final day win with promotion still mathematically possible.
Yorkshires Amateurs put in a Christmas Day special for their fans to defeat PSV Eindhoven 4-0 and set up a showdown with White Hawk. PSV started quite brightly but a lob from Rene Maslovsky didn’t really test Bicanco and the home side took control. Andrew Potts delivered a brilliant free-kick to make it 1-0 on 14 minutes. Micky Cox had a header saved by Reina before the break but the Amateurs would come out much more purposeful after the interval. Potts had another free-kick but it was saved by Reina this time while Hugo Smallwood put a header well-wide. Cox would beat Reina but see his shot go wide but they would be gifted their second goal as Jose Fonte put through his own goal. Amadeo Caviedes would then make it 3-0 by rounding Reina following an excellent counter and a diving header by the front man made it 4-0 on 90 minutes. Danlufc13 knows that ‘a win guarantees us promotion’ and was in confident mood saying ‘I expect my players will rise to the occasion.’ Kadri admitted that his side had ‘ran out of steam’ in their battle against the drop but added that he had ‘high hopes for the midfield and defence’ ahead of the new season.
Bonkers moved into the final sought-after promotion place with a dramatic 3-2 home win over F.C. Greatness. The home side would gain an early boost as Edip Bayrak powered in a shot from distance after just six minutes. Bayrak might have made it even better for the hosts but his chip hit the angle while Chris Sutton put a header over the bar. Stefan Beelenkamp forced Rachao into a decent save in goal as the home side created all the openings in the first-half. Greatness were a much-improved side after the break and Agostino Bernardi immediately levelled with a lob in the area. A free-kick by Faust Baronchelli incredibly put them 2-1 ahead and if Martinus Benfari’s lobbed header hadn’t been saved by Hawke, Bonkers might have been in serious trouble. As it was Bayrak chipped in the equaliser on 76 minutes to the relief of the home fans and better was to come as Garry Maynard headed home brilliantly from a Larsson cross. This proved to be the winning goal but GarethLloyd will have to get his side’s feet back on the ground quickly as they face a make-or-break clash with Milan on Tuesday. Darren Calvert will be thankful his side showed some fighting spirit in the second-half but ultimately this season will not be remembered fondly at Cedar Road.
Kensington Boys Club may rue missed chances as they slipped out of the top three following a 1-1 draw at AJ Rovers. Taylor Grape chipped home on 17 minutes as Rovers looked to safeguard their Division One status. A free-kick by Maurice Jacobs would force Mortimer into a fine leg save while Lorentzen kept the Club close with a save from a Phil Marsh chip. Aubrey de Vere would see a lob go over the bar before Samson Lockwood hit a post as Kensington pressed. Charles Tilly looked to level the game on the stroke of half-time but his fine volley was saved by Mortimer and they went in a goal behind. Further chances would come their way after the break but Alfie Whitley could only put a header wide. Barry Painter was unlucky with a powerful low shot which struck a post but Kensington would find their equaliser as Tilly shot home emphatically from a tight angle on 85 minutes. Patrik will now bank on a win at Pahang in their final game being enough to secure promotion but this will be no easy task as their opponents need the points for an entirely different reason. AJ News reported that ‘Rovers are still not safe from relegation’ and they will need to take care of business against PSV in their last game.
Real Madrid go into the final round of matches with their promotion hopes very much alive as they defeated Hicktown Hillbillies 3-2 at Bucket Bowl. The home side saw Buddy Bailey half-volley straight at Hogardh while Teige Aran was denied by Syvaluoma at the other end as both sides looked to attack. Aran would put a diving header over for Madrid before Vahe Kasparian smashed a post with a fine free-kick. They would then receive a setback as Uncle Sam despatched a penalty for the hosts to give them a half-time lead. Aran would level up swiftly after the break with a cleverly steered finish while Bob missed a header at the other end. Madrid would then strike the front as Pasi Lintu lobbed over the ‘keeper on 67 minutes while a toe-poke from Kevin Gabriele narrowly failed to double their advantage. Chuck Ewing would have the game back in the melting pot following a brilliant header on 77 minutes but Gabriele replied in kind to re-establish Madrid’s advantage six minutes later. Leroy Shepard just managed to avoid scoring an own goal but nevertheless his side would fall to a defeat which leaves their Division One status hanging by a thread. With this in mind it surprised everyone when Gary_C just upped and left his side in their hour of need and it remains to be seen whether this will help or hinder the players on Tuesday against Villarreal. FredRizzo will be focusing his side on beating Greatness and only then will they look at whether that is enough to secure their promotion into the RM Invitational.
Pahang picked up a point in their battle against relegation as they drew 0-0 at Villarreal. Pahang would completely dominate the first-half but their finishing would let them down. Franck Saur mishit a shot against a post on 11 minutes while Kilian Strongbow also hit the woodwork with a fine free-kick. Tajo Cuevas would have a half-volley saved by Rossell and the ‘keeper would also deny Jeremias Lindeman as Villarreal held on. The second-half would see their roles reversed as the home side became the more progressive side. A free-kick saw Jonathan Boulding force Hussain into a good stop before Bernardo Almeida also had a set-piece saved by the cat. Jonny Douglas would see red for stamping but one final chance would fall to the home side; Ritchie Morgan heading wide when well-placed. Pahang would then see Tom Hording sent-off for brutal play but this had no effect on the outcome as Paine blew for full-time. MrT has a tough looking final fixture against Kensington as they look to secure their Division One status but they will be in confident mood after a recent upturn in results, with the manager saying ‘there’s still hope.’ Cathal’s season finished a long time ago but he can have a major say on the relegation battle by defeating Hicktown in their final game.

Rovers Rise to Division One
Splott Rovers secured promotion by defeating BitterSweeters 3-2 at Ta qali although they had to overcome a sluggish start to do so. Winston Badger had ballooned an early effort over the bar for the visitors and they would go to sleep as Ladislav Nagy slotted home from a breakaway to put the hosts 1-0 up. Luc Robitaille powered in the second on 10 minutes and it looked as though the visitor’s promotion dream was turning into a nightmare. However, they would dig deep and create more chances of their own. Matt Daredevil’s header didn’t unduly worry Ersberg although the ‘keeper looked on in worried fashion moments later when Paul-Phillip Ravage smashed a shot against a post. Fahrettin Inal had the chance to make things worse for Splott but he couldn’t direct his driving shot on target while Winston Badger toe-poked wide at the other end. Splott would come out after the break a rejuvenated side and saw an early free-kick by Reed Fantastic saved by Ersberg. They got the goal they craved on 61 minutes courtesy of a well-placed header by Daredevil. A free-kick on 65 minutes saw Fantastic level matters as he blasted through the wall and you could sense the confidence flow through the visitors. Fantastic might have done better with a diving header which was saved before Eddie Venom put a header into the roof of the net to seal the victory for the title chasers. Although promoted Carbonmonoxide is sure to be gunning for the title but a point might not be enough given their nearest rivals play St Omer on the last day of the season. BitterSweeters saw Xelaalex quit the club following the defeat although they moved swiftly to announce Bond4 as their new manager and they will hope he can lead the club onto better things.
Carthage all-but guaranteed their promotion to Division One with a 4-0 defeat of RRS. The home side were rampant in the first 45 minutes and created chances at will. Hanno The Elder steered an early shot wide while Hamilcar Barca headed over as they attacked from the off. Another header by Barca in the third minute saw Mullen block the ball before the forward directed another shot off the post as Carthage searched for that all-important first goal. Barca would be denied by Mullen again on 10 minutes as the ‘keeper tipped his header over the bar but the front man would have his revenge seven minutes later as he flicked a header beyond the cat for 1-0. Mullen would save from an Amin Mansourian free-kick on 27 minutes but a powerful low shot by Barca did make it 2-0 on 35 minutes. Barca continued to be a threat right up until half-time and had lobbed over before he managed to complete his hat-trick with a well-placed shot on 45 minutes. Barca would begin the second-half with a diving header which needed saving by Mullen while Todd Osborn had a goal disallowed at the other end. Carthage would score their fourth on 64 minutes as Delis Eribenne delivered a brilliant bicycle kick to complete a comfortable day for Blakey’s side. The gaffer said that the result and promotion was a ‘nice Christmas present’ and even had a cheeky look ahead to next season by saying ‘2 promotions in a row, let’s make it 3.’ Xpertelevener can only dream of such success but he will be hoping next year will be start of a resurgence from his side.
The Lone Wanderers kept a hold of the third promotion place with a solid 3-1 home success against Futsal. The home side would create all the chances in a one-sided first-half with Albert Scully hitting the first one wide on 17 minutes. Marco Busquets would also miss the target with his half-volley before Dragos Ceaun had a header excellently saved by Roberts. Despite not being able to take the lead the Wanderers would come out after the break still full of confidence. Futsal had seen Rowley Forrester hit the bar with a clever free-kick before the Wanderers finally opened the scoring; Frans Fleischer placing the ball beyond Roberts on 53 minutes. Two minutes later and it would be 2-0 with Busquets producing a delicate chip to the delight of the home fans. Busquets’ next effort wouldn’t unduly trouble the ‘keeper while Graeme Haynes’ flick header at the other end brushed a post. A half-volley by Niall Hedges would go close to making it 3-0 before Fleischer was also denied by a brave piece of ‘keeping as Roberts dived at his feet. Ceaun would put a free-kick over for the dominant hosts and a lob by Mart Rosbottom made it 3-0 on 79 minutes. Albert Scully hit a post with a fine strike through the legs of Roberts before an injury-time free-kick at the other end saw Forrester blast a consolation goal for Futsal. Ultimately, though, it was a case of job done for HH’s side who now know three points at Kroklund will result in a fantastic promotion. The manager said ‘I know my boys have got the right attitude to win’ ahead of the massive fixture and the fans will be hoping he is right. Futsal are starting to worry about Jake’s whereabouts and they will be hopeful of his reappearance soon.
These Charming Men did what they had to as they kept alive their promotion hopes with a 2-1 home success over Juventus. Both sides would see chances in the opening 45 minutes but neither could find the killer touch in front of goal. Mauricio Capdevila had a header saved by Fuentes before the ‘keeper punched away another headed effort from the midfielder as the hosts started the quicker. Juve did see Kristoffer Lindfors go close with a header on five minutes before Capdevila hit a post with another header for the hosts. The final chance of the half fell to the visitors but Morgan Janney could only lob over the bar and the sides went in level. Lindfors forced Avellino into a fine early save at the start of the second-half after getting in a shot from a tight angle. Scottie Gillan would eventually make the breakthrough but it would come in a rather fortunate way as his shot was terribly mishit but it managed to wrong-foot Fuentes and find the net. Jacobo Chacros had a chance to level almost immediately but his free-kick went over the bar before another set-piece from the forward proved easy for Avellino. TCM would have a chance make it 2-0 on 71 minutes but a free-kick from Jorge Carril was gathered by Fuentes. However, they would find their second goal on 77 minutes as Bryan Higginbottom headed in emphatically. They would still endure a nervous final 10 minutes, though, as Capdevila saw red for dangerous play and Chacros then pulled a goal back as he lobbed home. Juve wouldn’t be able to force any more chances, though, to leave RDCM’s side alive going into the final day. RDCM wished ‘HappyHibee1991 all the best’ for the final round but he will be hoping Kroklund can do him a favour by beating the Wanderers. SuperJuve has had an eventful season and will round it off with a home match against the Tubbies and the fans will already be looking forward to more excitement from their entertainers next season.
Arsenal UK saw their promotion hopes die despite a 3-0 home win over Belly Tubbies. In truth this would be a one-sided affair as the visitors continue to struggle without their manger. Mikael Silvestre opened the scoring with a neat lob in the area after just 10 minutes and the result was never in doubt. Eduardo da Silva put a diving header just over before Sid Peyton headed wide of the target. The second-half saw more home chances and ultimately more home goals. Andrey Arshavin had a header kicked away by Fitzsimmons before da Silva lobbed an effort over the bar. Fitzsimmons would also collect a Theo Walcott header before the second goal arrived courtesy of a da Silva diving header. Arshavin would then be denied by a brave Fitzsimmons save at his feet before da Silva lobbed in the third on 90 minutes. This rounded off a comfortable win for DomBrown’s side and Arsenal News reported that their excellent manager has ‘now won MOTS for the second time in only his second season.’ The club are most definitely in safe hands. The same cannot be said for the Tubbies who will need saving in the off-season.
Kroklund Kings had a comfortable evening as they saw off St Omer 5-0 at Five Percent Stadium. Much of the damage was done in a dominant first-half display which saw them take a seventh minute lead as Tero Perotie fired into the net. Curt Elliott had a header saved by Rain before Aatu Vuokki hit a shot over as the hosts searched for more goals. Elliott would then see a toe-poke saved before finally adding the second by placing beyond Rain on 28 minutes. Vuokki would chip just over the bar before Berti Behrends made it 3-0 with a confident finish from a free-flowing breakaway. The second-half saw both sides enjoy a couple of chances but it would be the visitors who would finish better. Vuokki placed a header brilliantly beyond Rain for 4-0 on 61 minutes while Dennis Bogarde wasted Omer’s first chance by heading well off-target. Elliott added his second goal on 69 minutes to give his side a 5-0 advantage and Jorn Schone was denied a consolation at the other end as Tolvanen turned his header over the bar. Bossebong will be playing the role of spoiler in the final game of the season as his side entertain promotion hopefuls The Lone Wanderers and the manager will be hoping this time next season it will be Kroklund in a promotion spot. ConyTottee spoke of hoping his ‘side might actually start winning in 2010’ but one thing we know is that Omer are in patient hands.

Morley Miss Out on Glory
Morley Town’s 3-1 defeat to 1863 Munich meant the promotion race was over for the Yorkshire club. Going into the game knowing nothing less than a win would do they found themselves up against a determined home side. A chance on 13 minutes fell to Munich and a brilliant free-kick by Stephane Aoudou left Morley with an uphill task early on. Zacharias Ashe looked to have levelled with a powerful low shot on 26 minutes but saw it disallowed for a foul and they would go in behind. The second-half saw the hosts become the more progressive side. Aoudou had another free-kick go close before Dustin Wotton hit a shot over the bar for Morley. Their task doubled when a volley by Turlough Daly flew past Gaughan on 63 minutes although they did reduce this deficit fairly quickly; Adolf Munzberg heading in confidently to give them hope. Despite this goal they wouldn’t force any more openings in the final 20 minutes as Munich regained control. Alex McQuillan was unlucky not to make it 3-1 as his flick header hit a post but it wouldn’t matter as Daly produced a sensational diving header to beat Gaughan and seal the win. Anderson’s side are up to fifth on the back of this result and with just one game to go the club will have plans in place for further improvement under their excellent coach. Leeg21 has ‘set his players a target of a good change report’ following their failure to win promotion.
Gooners moved to within touching distance of the title with a 4-0 win over Mighty Mojos. It would be an open game which surprisingly didn’t see a goal in the first 45 minutes. Marc Overmars had a shot blocked by Housham before Iain Wright curled a wild effort off-target as the home side started positively. Mojos saw their first effort easily saved as Ferdinand Quinn hit a free-kick straight at Seaman before Gooners responded with a flick header by Wright which was kicked away by the ‘keeper. Another free-kick saw Quinn fire wide for the Mojos while Robert Pires had a shot caught by the ‘keeper at the other end. A free-kick by Dennis Bergkamp flew wide as the sides went in goalless. The second-half would see goals accompany Gooners’ attacking intent as they overwhelmed the visitors. In fairness Abraham Axhorn had a chance to put the Mojos in front but he shot wide and just three minutes later Bergkamp powered in the opening goal for the hosts. Kevin Campbell lobbed in a second goal on 57 minutes and a minute later Lee Dixon produced a diving header of rare quality to make it three. Quinn would waste a third free-kick opportunity for the visitors while Bergkamp had a free-kick of his own at the other end which Housham did well to stop. The scoring was completed on 69 minutes when Wright powered in a low shot from distance while Quinn had a free-kick saved at the other end. The win realistically leaves Gooners needing only a point for the title going into the final game. FMR did admit that he was ‘still struggling with a few players ME’ but he will surely be a happy man as his side close in on his first title. Joshy graciously said it was a ‘good match for FMR’ before admitting his side ‘lost it in a 3 minute spell.’ Nevertheless the future remains bright for the Mojos with Joshy in charge.
Wortley sealed promotion with a 5-0 home victory over EspAda. Walter Willock got the party started early with an accomplished lob finish from a breakaway move after only eight minutes. Curt Pryor narrowly missed making it two as he side-footed wide but Willock would score another lob on 44 minutes to ensure a 2-0 half-time lead. The second-half saw the home side continue to dominate and Newell would be lobbed for a third time as this time Pryor deceived him. Sidney Motter nearly put through his own goal as the visitors buckled under the pressure. Alfred Naples nodded home number four and Rai Kike nearly added a fifth with a placed shot on goal. EspAda did see Patric Torebring have a shot saved by Jenning but the home side had the last say as Willock looped a header in for his hat-trick goal to leave the fans celebrating promotion. Thegtreatlordbags might still harbour hopes of the title but he can be very happy with the job his side have done and they can now look to establish themselves in Division Two next season. Malteseexpert’s future as EspAda boss must be in serious doubt as he remains inactive at Huco Mundo.
Dream Team saw their title hopes die as they were held to a 0-0 home draw with Alsancak. In a tight game the home side had the first chance but Frost was the equal to Ronaldo Ready’s curled shot. Alsancak responded well but Danny Rose and Richard Stearman missed the target with their respective chances. The second-half was a similarly even contest but Dream Team were nearly given an early boost as Stearman headed dangerously close to his own goal. Rory Burston saw a powerful header blocked by Delirious while Warren Wish hit a powerful shot over as both sides struggled in front of goal. Mark Noble would also lack enough accuracy with a chance for the visitors but it would be Dream Team who nearly pinched the win in injury-time; Ready placed home an accurate header only for a 50/50 offside call deny him glory. MrJames was a bit harsh on himself at the end of the game when he declared ‘I suck’ and his thoughts were similar towards the late goal his side were disallowed. This point is another sign of Alsancak’s progress and after performing so well with a young squad who knows what they will be able to achieve next term with more experience.
Rolling Thunder received a nice Christmas present with a 5-1 home victory over Norfolk N Chance. Francois Rouland lobbed Clemens in the third minute to put the home side on course for a comfortable victory. This lead was doubled by a precise Erland Hangeland header and a diving header by Jon Obi Mikel had them 3-0 up on 19 minutes. Danilo Bauza had an acrobatic bicycle kick go close before Norfolk nearly gifted them a goal as Crofton Scyles headed dangerously close to his own goal. It would be 4-0 on 40 minutes as Bauza confidently blasted home a penalty to leave Norfolk with a half-time headache. It was quickly 5-0 at the start of the second-half with a fine lob by Juan Yepes beating Clemens. Norfolk did score with their only chance of the game as Zoli Denes produced an excellent volley but it proved insignificant as Thunder coasted to victory. Vehusheia will be satisfied with a win he will have expected but he will also know the hard work starts as soon as the current season finishes. Howemiester will be hopeful of a new start in the New Year as his young players gain a year, and hopefully a skill bar or two.
FCR Cressex were 2-1 winners at Jammas AllStars in Division Three’s other game. In a game free of tension both sides would enjoy chances; Dan-Ake Rothflod having the first for the visitors but he mishit it and it brushed a post and went safe. The AllStars were quickly into the action too and Elliot Vasa could count himself unfortunate as his header struck a post. At the other end Emil Rojas hit a free-kick too high before Rothflod did head them into a 41st minute lead. Lauro Poggi had a late header saved by Frezzolini as the visitors went in on top. AllStars were an improved attacking force after the break but Kieran Corpe’s drive was well-held by Clooney. Teobaldo Bispo headed woefully off-target while Rojas had a header saved at the other-end as the game had an explosive finish. Poggi would then see a powerful header saved before doing better with his next attempt as he beat the ‘keeper to put Cressex 2-0 ahead. Bispo quickly tried to respond but saw a header saved while Vasa shot with a lack of accuracy. Rothflod put a chip too close to Frezzolini and when Vasa placed the ball home it looked like Cressex would have to withstand a late flurry. However, there wouldn’t be enough time and the visitors claimed all three points. Villan_RAS has seen his side finish the season in good form and will be hopeful they can start the next campaign in similar fashion. Jamma will need to get to work in the transfer market if he is to turn his side into a more competitive side next time round.

Draw
1 point for Pahang United and its enough for their team to move away from relegation zone and give some hope for the team to maintain in division 1 next season.
There's still hope and we have to keep on giving our real strenght for a few more matches now. Next we will meet KBC team and they look very good everyday. Hope 3 points be with us.
Cheers,

Thats Gooner hurt
Going into this match Gooners were looking to confirm themselves as league champions after a string of impressive results promotion looks set for them, the visitors Mighty Mojos were looking to bulld on their 3-1 victory over Jammas AllStars.
As the action got underway the home side soon started to create chances and play the style that has got them where they are today. MIghty Mojos in the early stages soaked up some strong pressure from the home side. Mighty Mojos defence was holding out and they even looked dangerious upfront themselves Gooners were given a few warning shots from the mojos but for the first 45 minutes the visitors kept the Gooners at bay.
The second half soon shaped up like the first half and Mojo's were starting to look like a tough nut to crack. So cue a Gooner ledgend, Dennis Bergkamp answered the call and gave the Gooners the lead on the 55th minute via a Marc Overmars acute pass. This proved to be the huge turning point in the match as the visitors were to find themselves 3-0 down in the space of free minutes. The madness continued on thr 57th minute when Kevin Campbell made it 2-0 from another Marc Overmars pass. Just one minute later and Iain Wright's corner kick found the head of defender ace Lee dixion who made it 3-0 to the Gooners. Joshy watched on staring into space he looked lost in thought. 11 Minutes later and Iain Wright made it 4-0 this time Robert Pires's tidy pass allowed the French man a long ranged effort on goal. Clearly beaten Mighty Mojos still carried a thret going forward but Buta was kept very quite the lone striker was well guarded throughout the 90 minutes and it finished 4-0. After the match Joshy had this to say...
" Up until the 3 minutes of madness we were doing fine. We hit the self-destruct button and it was gameover for us. Gooners are a fine side and we did well to hold them at bay for 55 minutes and i think strongly that Gooners will do just fine in division 2. Up next is our last match of the season as we host FCR Cressex who have hit some form at the end of the season so it should be a good match to end out on. Now i look forward to the end of season team review. "

Stanley News
Stanley ended there home campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Hun Haters .
The goals either side of half time from McMac and Granander sent the home fans home happy.
After the match manager Markham33 told the press " We started off the season well but hit a brick wall half way through the season and never recovered and in the end i decided we needed a change in focus and released a few of our older players and give youth a chance which can only bode well for next season

Tight Finish
One thing is for sure, the end of season battle for promotion is hotter than the surface of the sun. Hopefully we can scrape the 3 points off a stubborn team to beat at their home ground.
Whilst I remain by my statement about RDCM being a great manager, I also stand by my statement about my team being put first. We have an injury crisis to deal with in what is our most important match since I have become the manager. Hopefully the lads can perform well, but of course if we don't the lads at BitterSweeters will be eager to impress new manager Bond4.
The finish will be tight, but I know my boys have got the right attitude to win in what promises to be the most exciting set of fixtures in the division and perhaps all of the league system.

Clinging on to TLW's coattails
A 2-1 victory against Juventus saw TCM stay in the promotion hunt.
With just a point separating 3rd placed The Lone Wanderers and These Charming Men, boos RDCM must hope that his side can overcome Bittersweeters and that Kroklund Kings can do his side a favour against TLW.
RDCM was keen to wish HappyHibee1991 all the best for the final fixture.

No Christmas Cheer for Totaal
Totaalvoetbal picked up one point over Christmas week as their continuation with a young side failed to be rewarded with performances.
A dour 0-0 draw with Sanity Clause was followed up by a 2-0 defeat at Underdogz on Christmas Day.
Christiano Izuldo and Robin van Izu were the scorers as Underdogz received a Christmas treat.
As for Meeblind he is rumoured to be putting the final touches to his shopping list as he seeks to strengthen his side with some January bargains in the sales.

Next Season
Town News
Morley have failed in their bid for promotion after a poor draw with Mighty Mojos and a home defeat to Gooners, the board have set a target of promotion next season as a priority for manager Leeg21, before next season though Leeg21 has set his players a target of increasing their form to acheive a good change report.

Santa drops by Surprise Stadium
Underdogz United will have a final chance to improve their league position in the final round after a decent win over young Totaalvoetbal on Christmas Day saw them draw level on points with their opponents and AFC Stanley, retiring Cristiano Izuldo and veteran forward Robin van Izu heading in crosses in the first half to earn the hosts a draw over their Dutch opponents. Among the three, United have the easiest game with a visit to Sanity Clause while AFC Stanley and Totaalvoetbal play Kirkbride Strollers and Bryan Adams Athletic respectively.
manager should be happy!
Viking Land News
The Vikings manager Eaglesrjh knows he should be really happy with the teams position this season. Guaranteed to finish no lower than 4th in their debut season in the top flight when a battle for relegation was expected should mean the manager is all smiles.
But the competitive side of the boss means he is looking at what might have been and at a couple of results that could have gone better. An early draw at man utd could have been better but needs must and matches for the youths were more important.
one more game to go and with a decent change report the team must be looking to improve again next season!

PSV Relegated
The inevitable has happened. We are relegated. I think we put up a good fight till the last quarter of the league when we ran out of steam. On paper we are one of the weakest teams (if not the weakest) in league 1 so it comes as no surpirse. We have to concentrate on a good change report now. As well as looking to rebuild our forward line which had an unfortunate series of injuries that im sure would ensure no improvement. I do have high hopes for the midfield and defence in particular.
A very simple equation
Yorkshires Amateurs and White Hawk FC go into their final game knowing that a win for either side, barring a bizarre sequence of results will see them promoted to the top division as champions.
The division is so tight that six teams all still harbour hopes of promotion and ends to the season do not get much more nail biting than this. White Hawk FC were held to a 0-0 draw against the divisions form side AC Milan leaving Milan with a chance of returning to the top flight at the first time of asking.
The Amateurs themselves recorded a solid 4-0 victory against PSV Eindhoven which means that the Amateurs destiny is still in their own hands. The win means that the Amateurs goal difference of +15 is worth an extra point and this could prove crucial come the final game of the season.
Amateurs boss Danlufc13 will not want to rely on result going their way though, “A win guarantees us promotion and it is the win we will be going all out for. Some very important players returned after injury and suspension last time out and our result against PSV demonstrated how important these players are. I will have a full squad to select from for our final game and I expect my players will rise to the occasion”.

another draw
AJ Rovers draw again in their last match against Kensington Boys Club. Both teams are levelled at 1-1 each. It Rovers who take a lead before Kensington Boys Club managed to equalize in the last minutes of the game.
with the draw, Rovers are still not safe from the relegation zone. only 2 points separate them.

Arsenal UK 3 - 0 Belly Tubbies
Arsenal picked up an impressive home win over Belly Tubbies, the win keeps them on target for their top 5 finish and a game in which manager DomBrown picked up another manager of the week, this means that DomBrown has won manager of the season for the 2nd time in only his 2nd season.

Today it is going to be cruical match which will decide if we will have chances to get to the RM Invitational league next year. We will face White Hawk FC which are leaders at the moment but our five wins in a row should give them some nervousness!
But even if we don't manage to get there we are still very satisified with the second half of the season!

Merry Xmas
Merry Xmas to all managers...
Hopefully today i managed to beat Kensington Boys Club in order to survive in Division 1. However, it is hard than its looks since AJ Rovers managed to score only 17 goals from 20 matches throughout this season. Something has to be done to correct it.

Strollers Christmas Special
West Brom moved to within one point of title glory as they destroyed Hun Haters 5-0 at The Hawthorns and results elsewhere went their way. The contest was never really in doubt from the moment Lee Hughes toe-poked past Boruc for the opening goal on six minutes. Tony Brown was denied the team’s second when Boruc dived at his feet to gather but it would prove to be only a temporary reprieve with Billy Bassett placing the ball beyond the ‘keeper on 16 minutes. A free-kick by Bassett on 20 minutes made it 3-0 as the midfielder continued his incredible campaign while a shot by Brown on 34 minutes defied a tight angle to make it 4-0. The second-half would see Finlay MacCleir put a header over for Hun before Cyrille Regis’ shot was saved by Boruc. Regis would get his goal on 91 minutes as he chipped Boruc and the fans were in jubilant mood at the final whistle with the title in touching distance. Dinky will now hope his side can finish it off by taking at least a point at Kirkbride on Christmas Day but he did say his side ‘would be playing our usual brand of passing attacking football’ as they look to ‘give the fans a title present.’ Celticchris travels to Stanley on the same day no doubt wishing the end of the season would come as quickly as possible.
ThunderCats and Kirkbride made each other’s life difficult as they drew 2-2 at Thundera Grounds. Kirkbride made a strong start to the game as Stephen Robinson delivered a textbook free-kick to put them 1-0 ahead. Leonardo Borja steered a shot off-target for the hosts before Keith Ellison brushed a post for the visitors. Mark Blacklock lobbed over for Kirkbride while Placido Polo also put an effort over at the other end as the game remained open. Ellison would be unfortunate not to give Kirkbride a two-goal lead going into the break as his toe-poke brushed a post but they could still be satisfied with their half’s work. They would be on the front foot at the start of the second-half and Mike Bell had already headed over by the time Ellison powered in a header for their second goal. ThunderCats have not been champions for the last two seasons for nothing, though, and they fought back in brilliant style. A precise header by Fabricio Cidade had brushed a post before he also smashed a post with a shot that had Hill beaten all-ends-up. They got a deserved goal on 74 minutes when Izet Hadzic powered in a header and the comeback was complete on 86 minutes with an excellent chip by Polo defeating Hill. This would be the last chance of the game and it seemed fitting that two of the very best in the league had ended even after a pulsating game. Jazza admitted losing a ‘2-goal lead was particularly disappointing’ but added that they ‘will be looking to continue (their) 100% home record’ when they play West Brom. Baz knows the title race is now out of their reach but the manager will surely be pleased with how things have gone since his arrival at the club and can look forward to next season with fresh confidence.
The Vikings kept their outside hopes of the title alive with a thrilling 3-2 home victory over Manchester United. A storming start saw Anastasios Tassiopoulos toe-poke home for the title hopefuls but there would be plenty of chances at either end in a frantic game. Darren Gibson lashed a free-kick just over before Wayne Rooney headed in a precise equaliser for United. Vassilis Papakostas curled a shot straight at Kuzsczak while Rooney couldn’t repeat his earlier headed glory as the game continued apace. Owen Hargreaves would see a flick header palmed away by Raasch as United continued to threaten and Darren Fletcher made it tell by shooting them in front on 20 minutes. Thorbjorn Lind would quickly equalise with an excellent header on 26 minutes and this would be the score as the sides headed into the break. United saw Hargreaves head in just after the break but the goal was disallowed for a foul in the build-up while Tassiopoulos lobbed over at the other end. A header by Paraskevas Maladenis brought an exceptional save out of Kuszczak on 61 minutes as the home side looked for the winner which would keep their title hopes alive. The game took a sour turn on 76 minutes as Rooney was dismissed for arguing with the officials but they still threatened to net again although Fletcher couldn’t control his header. An Aris Almanidis free-kick proved no trouble for the ‘keeper while another effort was also saved by Kuszczak as the visitors looked to hang on. However, they would be heartbroken on 97 minutes when Tassiopoulos showed an ice-cool temperament to round the ‘keeper and roll the ball home for the winning goal. Eagles was left to wonder whether he should play his injured forward in his next game with his faint title hopes still alive. Pakya has been absent for a little while now and the fans will be eager their manager returns to keep their progress going next season.
Bryan Adams Athletic kept up their recent revival with an impressive 2-0 home victory over AFC Stanley. The home side would frank their recent improvement with a very good first-half showing although they did not get the goals their all-round play deserved. Benito Villas would see a header saved by Hessbo before a driving shot by Simon Teske flew over the bar as Athletic dominated the attacking play. A free-kick by Christiano Olias would be blocked by Hessbo just before the break but more chances would come their way following the interval. However, first Stanley would dominate the beginning of the half as Dijedon Betimaj saw a free-kick saved before Sapienza also held well from Eddy Jack’s volley. Per-Elvis Granander would then put a header wide of the target and the home side would reassert themselves. Leroy Upson would see a header hit the woodwork before Joseph Gerault toe-poked in the first goal on 80 minutes. Miles Madeley would follow up by brushing a post with a fine shot through the legs of Hessbo before their second goal arrived courtesy of an Eadbhard Liffey shot following a breakaway move. Liffey would go on to strike a post with a mishit effort but it wouldn’t matter as they had done enough to secure the three points. SLS spoke of hoping his run continues next season and the feeling remains that if he had come in a few games earlier Athletic might still have a chance of survival. Markham will have his focus on things to come as he plots a route up the table for his club next term.
Santos enjoyed an excellent away day to defeat Underdogz United 1-0 at Surprise Stadium. United would start the faster but Luis Carlos Almeida shot wide when well-placed on two minutes. Santos would take full advantage of their let-off and took the lead as Rogerio Franca converted a penalty on 14 minutes. Torbjorn Alshammar had a toe-poke easily saved by Casillas before the home side looked to strike back; Robin van Izu hitting a free-kick just wide. The second-half saw Santos enjoy the better of proceedings but there would not be any further goals. A free-kick by Robbie Mitchell hit a post when it deserved better while van Izu also struck the post from a set-piece at the other end. Alshammar would continue the theme of striking the woodwork as his thumping drive hit the bar while Mitchell would put yet another free-kick just wide. Santos would prove good value for their win and they will hope to secure sixth with a couple of wins to finish the campaign. Izu looked ahead to a Christmas Day match-up with Totaalvoetbal after the defeat saying, ‘this should be fun.’
Totaalvoetbal and Sanity Clause would be involved in a dour 0-0 draw in the other game at Metelo Park. The home side would enjoy marginally the better of the contest and had the only chance of the first-half. William Ralph Dean could do nothing with it, though, as he shot embarrassingly wide. The second 45 minutes saw a chance each with Pierre van Diemen forcing Widlund into a decent leg save from a powerful strike while at the other end Sammy Shepherd’s diving header was theatrically saved by Leemans. Robin Meeblind admitted he ‘was getting used to his side not scoring’ and was looking forward to the off-season to see how he can improve his club. Crismorena continues to be tough to beat and they will sure to be even tougher next season following some strengthening in the silly-season.

Hawk Hit League Summit
White Hawk hit the top of Division One following a professional performance in a 2-1 away victory at F.C. Greatness. The title chasers looked to start in positive fashion and created an opening for Jazmique Lattizze only for the defender to head over. Ryan Dharmsingh wouldn’t fare any better as he chipped too high but they would take the lead as Adan Donahue struck home from the spot after some clumsy home defending. Cianan Cathan swiftly doubled that advantage by heading home on 34 minutes and they would go into the sheds fully in control of the game. The second-half saw more chances come their way and they were unlucky not to make it 3-0 as Matts Perman brushed a post with a cute finish. Perman would also have a headed opportunity but put it well-wide before a free-kick by Donahue proved easy for Rachao. Unbelievably Greatness were gifted a way back into the contest as Luke Bribe awarded them a penalty; Fabio Cannavaro coolly sending the ‘keeper the wrong way. Hawk had chances to further their lead again but Dharmsingh’s shot was caught by Rachao while Clarence Ong A Fat hit the bar with a lob. They were nearly made to pay for their profligacy but Mario Balotelli’s half-volley proved tame and Jeso held comfortably in goal. Hooraymee’s side are now in the box seat and with two home matches to come promotion looks well within their reach and maybe the title as well. Darren Calvert’s side are now flirting with relegation as they sit just three points above the trapdoor and things don’t look like improving on Christmas Day as they travel to Bonkers for a tough looking match-up.
Kensington Boys Club won the big battle at the top of the table as they overcame Yorkshires Amateurs by the narrowest of 1-0 margins. Aubrey de Vere hit an early free-kick just wide for the hosts before a lob header by Antony Wallwork would go over at the other end. These proved the only couple of chances in the first-half but the second 45 minutes would see more action. The home side would score the crucial goal with the first attack of the half; de Vere heading past Bicanco to send the home fans into raptures. Wallwork tried to drag his side level but saw his shot saved by Lorentzen while de Vere hit a free-kick wide for the hosts. Glyn Arnold would put a header over the bar while Hugo Smallwood did likewise as the visitors struggled badly with their finishing. Ultimately this would cost the visitors and they would be overtaken by Kensington in the table. Patrik is a determined man at the moment declaring he is ‘going to be promoted like it or not’ and this will have gone a long way to help matters. Despite the defeat the Amateurs still occupy a promotion place and a home match against PSV will be looked upon as a must-win game at this stage of the season.
Real Madrid boosted their own promotion hopes while denting Bonkers’ aspirations in the process with a 3-1 victory at Santiago Bernabeu. In a fairly open contest Madrid had the first chance with Mao Wannasathit shooting through the legs of Hawke to put the home side in front. Aren Garabedian’s header then brought a fine save from Hawke before a lob by Joel Weymouth went over at the other end. Madrid would force further chanes before the break and Garabedian might have done better with a shot before Kevin Gabriele headed them into a 2-0 lead. Samvel Mortanian then powered in a header on 37 minutes to make it 3-0 to leave Bonkers with it all to do. Edip Bayrak missed a diving header which might have given them hope and they went into the interval looking fairly despondent. Madrid wouldn’t be as effective in front of goal after the break with Stu Mackay wasting their first chance by lobbing a header just over. They would win a free-kick on the hour but Mortanian’s effort was theatrically saved by Hawke before another effort four minutes later went over the bar. Stefan Beelenkamp showed him how to do it by thumping Bonkers back to within two goals on 70 minutes but when he missed a lobbed header on 87 minutes the visitors’ hopes were over. Bayrak would waste their last chance deep into injury-time by heading against the bar rather unfortunately and they now have it all to do in their two remaining games. GarethLloyd will be hopeful of his side bouncing back at home to Greatness on Christmas Day but this will then leave a massive away clash with Milan on the last day of the season. FredRizzo will be happy with his side’s response to his fiery words earlier in the week and with six points still to play for anything could happen for this talented team.
AC Milan continue to surge into contention as they disposed of PSV Eindhoven 6-1 at the San Siro. With PSV fighting against the drop while Milan were trying to maintain their run as unlikely promotion candidates the game had plenty riding on it. This would result in an open game with plenty of chances; the first falling to the visitors as Rory MacFinlay headed them into an eighth minute lead. Simone Spina volleyed over for the hosts before Jose Fonte nearly put PSV 2-0 up but his free-kick struck the woodwork. The leveller would come on 20 minutes as Quigley Addison defied a tight angle to lash past Reina. Spina would then head Milan into a 27th minute lead while Jeremiah McNally couldn’t trouble Hindle from a header at the other end. MacFinlay would be the next to try and bring PSV level but his curled shot failed to curl enough and went wide. Their troubles then worsened as Victor Moses headed in for 3-1 before the break to leave them with a massive task in the second-half. Moses started it by heading straight at Reina before heading wide with another effort moments later. Reina would then save from a Jonte Sandholm driving shot while Spina lobbed against the angle as the hosts dominated. PSV did briefly rally and Claudio Collauto was unlucky not to pull a goal back from a well-placed shot before Desmond Moss hit a post with a fine header. An incredible injury-time would follow as Milan showed no mercy for their relegation-haunted visitors. Bernard Lormor curled in a powerful strike for 4-1 on 90 minutes and a lob header by Lorenzo De Gasperi made it five a minute later. Still they weren’t finished and Savino Piovanelli placed in a quality header to complete the rout. Xmensch had declared earlier in the week that they have ‘chances to get promotion’ and this will have only furthered that belief. Kadri was devastated by the defeat which he called the ‘worst result (he’s) ever had’ but he can’t afford to dwell on it as they hope to produce the great escape over the next week or so.
Pahang lifted themselves out of the relegation zone by defeating Hicktown Hillbillies 3-0 at Padang MPK. A vital encounter saw Kilian Strongbow have an early free-kick saved before the same player hit the angle with a nearly brilliant lob. Tom Hording would have a shot from a tight angle saved by Syvaluoma as the home side searched for the opening goal. Sam Jakestown thought he had scored it for the visitors on 41 minutes but had his effort ruled out for offside and Strongbow would then give the hosts a 1-0 lead with a fine header. Hank Marvin would fail to level matters before the break as he couldn’t quite connect sweetly enough with a diving header. The second-half would start quietly with the first chance coming on 71 minutes; Billy Bob hitting a free-kick over the bar. Two minutes later and Franck Saur had a powerful strike well-saved by the ‘keeper while a free-kick by Strongbow hit a post as the hosts pressed. Strongbow would enjoy more luck with his next effort as he curled it beyond Syvaluoma to double their lead. Marshall Mayhem would fail to pull a goal back as his diving header was gathered by Hussain and it would then be 3-0 as Ray Eastwood rounded the ‘keeper to slot home. The win will have come as a massive relief to MrT as he looks to save his side late in the season and an away trip to Villarreal gives them a real chance of more points on Christmas Day. Gary_C’s side have replaced Pahang in the drop zone and they will place great emphasis on gaining points at home to Madrid on the same day.
Villarreal dented AJ Rovers’ hopes of survival by holding them to a 1-1 draw at the Estadio El Madrigal. The game was tight and you could sense the pressure the away players found themselves under. This would only intensify during a tough first-half which saw Leigh Roberts half-volley their chance wide before Claudio Moura flicked home a header for the hosts to put them 1-0 ahead. It might have been worse had Johnny Douglas’ header had not been disallowed for a dubious offside call on 27 minutes. Roared on by their away following Rovers fought back after the break and made the most of the chance they created. It would come on 59 minutes courtesy of a penalty and Phil Marsh made no mistake by blasting home. No more chances would be created, though, to leave Rovers nervously looking over their shoulder for the last two games of the season. Rothion said he is ‘happy enough just to avoid relegation’ but with a home game against Kensington followed by an away game it is not to be considered a foregone conclusion just yet. Cathal told the fans that his future relies on ‘how the change report goes’; whether this has gone down well with fans is another matter.

Rovers Reach for Promotion
Splott Rovers struck a crucial blow in the Division Two title race as they defeated These Charming Men 3-1 at Star Centre Arena. In an even looking contest the difference between the sides proved to be Splott’s superior finishing. These Charming Men would begin the contest in good heart and a piece of quality from Loran Rajabi gave them the advantage; launching himself to meet a Caffery cross the forward put a diving header into the roof of the net. This seemed to inspire them and they would have a chance to make it 2-0 but unfortunately for them Tord Jakobson put his free-kick off-target. Splott would then work their way into the contest and a side-footed shot by Paul-Phillip Ravage levelled the game on 32 minutes. The game would remain this way into the second-half as both sides looked for points to boost their promotion quest. Ravage would see Derksen deny him on 47 minutes as the ‘keeper dived bravely to stop at the front man’s feet. This was replicated at the other end as Chano Delgado raced through only for Ghostrider to produce a fine piece of ‘keeping. The game would remain quiet for a period but Splott would then make a decisive push for victory. A 67th minute penalty gave them the advantage as Frank Punisher slotted home and six minutes later they had the contest in their hands as Matt Daredevil looped in a header for 3-1. TCM would fight valiantly until the end but Rajabi’s header was saved and they had slipped to what they will hope won’t be a costly defeat. RDCM certainly knows the importance of not dropping any more points and said clearly, ‘2 must win games to play now.’ Carbonmonoxide was gracious in victory by saying ‘TCM were a bit unlucky’ but he was happy to point out that his side are ‘nearly promoted.’
Carthage moved into second following a tough 2-1 triumph at Belly Tubbies. Eric Fray hit a 17th minute effort against a post while a Par van de Hauwe free-kick needed saving by Aurelius as both sides had sights of goal. Carthage had gone close again through a Hamilcar Barca header before they took the lead; Fray side-footing past Fitzsimmons on 27 minutes. Three minutes later they had the chance to take hold of the contest but Amin Mansourian could only fire wide from the spot. The Tubbies would be awarded a penalty of their own on 40 minutes and van de Hauwe wouldn’t make the same mistake as he found the back of the net. The second-half saw Carthage regain the initiative as Barca got the better of Fitzsimmons following a breakaway move. Adrian Heath saw a drive excellently saved by Aurelius while van de Hauwe had a free-kick caught by the ‘keeper as the Tubbies fought hard to level the game for a second time. However, they wouldn’t be able to find the equaliser and had Paul Glimsjo been more accurate with his 90th minute header the winning margin might have been two goals instead of one. Blakey was happy that his side had ‘scraped a win’ at this stage of the season and four more points will result in their promotion. Belly Tubbies are lucky that they had built up enough points over the first-half of the season so they couldn’t be dragged into the relegation zone but they will need to take stock in the off-season.
The Lone Wanderers moved into the top three as they defeated BitterSweeters 2-0 at Ta qali. The visitors have been in fine form of late following a troubled start to the season and they took the lead thanks to a curling Stephen Julius free-kick after just seven minutes. BitterSweeters took a while to produce anything going forward and Ladislav Nagy couldn’t match Julius’ free-kick when they were presented with a chance. Julius did see another free-kick saved by Ersberg at the start of the second-half before Arsim Kule’s flick header hit the angle. The second goal did arrive for the visitors on 75 minutes, though, as Kule found a clinical finish after being afforded too much time and space in the area. BitterSweeters wouldn’t lie down despite being up against it and Evgeni Malkin forced Peyton into a save from a header. They would even have a goal disallowed as a Torben Kummel shot was ruled out for offside. The win sees the Wanderers’ fate in their own hands and HH declared ‘there is no reason why we can’t make it in Division 1.’ Xelaalex’s side were confirmed as relegated following the defeat but there have been plenty of recent positives since the appointment of the new manager and the fans will have found a new sense of optimism ahead of Season 6.
Juventus and Arsenal were involved in an exciting 3-3 draw at Delle Alpi as both sides saw their promotion hopes become unlikely at best. Arsenal saw Robin van Persie head too close to Fuentes and they then found themselves behind as Joaquin Messi produced a classy back-heel to defeat Fabianski. Jacobo Chacros saw a free-kick hit the bar but Raf Tudisco did manage to head beyond Fabianski as the home side threatened to run away with the game. Tudisco had a further chance on 40 minutes but his bicycle kick couldn’t beat the ‘keeper and Samir Nasri pulled a goal back as his powerful low shot had too much on it for Fuentes. Arsenal might have even levelled things up before the break but Sid Peyton’s header was saved. The second-half wouldn’t ease up on the action either as a penalty was despatched by van Persie to level the game. The drama wouldn’t end there as Sten Koll evened up the penalty count by awarding Juve one and Messi netted his second of the game to put Juve back in front. Messi would continue his dangerous evening by hitting a shot just wide before Tudisco had a shot saved by Fabianski as Juve looked to put the game safe. However, it would be Arsenal who would finish the better of the two and Thomas Vermaelen had already fired a warning from a set-piece move by the time van Persie headed in the equaliser on 84 minutes. Juve would see Jorn Fruh sent-off late in the piece for what could loosely be described as assault on Samir Nasri but it didn’t affect the outcome of the game as Koll blew for time. DomBrown was happy that his side were still on ‘track for their projected 4th place finish’ following the result and the club look destined for an exciting future. SuperJuve’s second-half of the season also bodes well ahead of Season 6 and if his side can tighten up they will become even harder to beat.
Futsal recorded their second successive 5-1 victory with St Omer the victims in this round. Freddy Kennedy chipped an early effort over but they would still take the lead within 10 minutes as Rowley Forrester powered in a header. Rick Tuttle would make it 2-0 straight from the kick-off as he produced a finish with some finesse to lob over Rain. A penalty on 17 minutes was converted by Kennedy to make it 3-0 but St Omer found some spirit to go on the attack in a desperate situation. Bruno Vasa put a lob over the bar before Roberto da Luz pulled a goal back with a driving shot after a corner. At the other end Mirciulica Bardes put a header off-target before they did make it 4-1 as Kennedy produced an excellent diving header. The midfielder would have a powerful shot saved but he wouldn’t be denied his hat-trick as he headed home to make it 5-1 on the stroke of half-time. The second 45 minutes would be quiet in comparison with a header hitting a post from Graeme Haynes for Futsal before Omer had a late chance; forcing Shane Briscoe into a hurried clearance the defender would be grateful for the positioning of Roberts in goal. Despite picking up a couple of recent wins Futsal fans are said to be worried about their manager’s absence and his return is thought to be at the top of their Christmas wish list. ConyTottee is approaching his favourite time but not in the shape of Christmas, the change report is hoped to fulfil his dreams over the festive weeks.
Kroklund Kings picked up three points on their travels as they defeated Reggae Reggae Sauce 3-0. A free-kick on three minutes provided Bosse Bong with the perfect opportunity to blast the visitors into the lead and they wouldn’t look back. Berti Behrends lobbed a header over the bar with the only chance of the half but they would still go in with control of the match-up. Aatu Vuokki hit the first chance of the second-half wide as his power shot lacked accuracy. The second goal wouldn’t be far away, though, as Behrends headed in following a corner and it would be 3-0 as Vuokki delivered a superb half-volley on 75 minutes. Sauce would have one chance in the game but Franciszek Kamiski couldn’t make the most of it and another game had slipped by for the long-time sufferers. Xpertelevener will still be hopeful his young side can improve but they will need to show better form whereas bossebong’s Kroklund look in excellent shape ahead of the season end.

Dennis Drives Gooners On
Gooners took a step closer to the Division Three title with a 2-1 success at Morley Town. The league leaders would put on an impressive display but left it late to secure the all-important three points. Gilberto Silva would waste an early chance for them as he put a flick header off-target and this dose was repeated by Thierry Henry albeit from a more powerful header. Morley would struggle to contain the visitors but Henry’s accuracy was lacking once more from a lobbed effort and their first-half trials in front of goal were complete when Freddie Ljungberg was wayward with a driving shot. The second-half would take on a twist to proceedings when Art Boyle netted from Morley’s very first chance; showing Gooners how to finish the midfielder found the net from inside the area. Boyle might have doubled the pain on Gooners but Seaman produced a decent stop from his volley and the championship challengers regained their composure from this moment. Silva would level matters with a fine lobbed header on 73 minutes and the turnaround was complete when Dennis Bergkamp produced a brilliant free-kick seven minutes later. It would be a lead the visitors never looked like relinquishing and although Bergkamp suffered some misfortune from the spot they went away from Scatcherd Park a happy team. FMRealism gave a frank interview to RMI reporters and explained that the immediate plan was to ‘maintain our form until the end of the current season’ and then ‘take the silverware in front of our fantastic fans.’ Leeg21’s promotion hopes now look to be remote at best and the manager will have to lift his side for another crack at it next term.
Dream Team won’t have given up hope of being crowned champions just yet after recording a solid 2-0 away victory at EspAda. Adam Aspire had a powerful header saved on nine minutes as Dream Team looked for an early boost. The home side wouldn’t be without chances either but their first attempt was wasted as Sidney Motter lobbed a header over the bar. Dream Team would then take a lead as Warren Wish produced a fabulously powerful strike on 20 minutes to leave Bound with no chance in goal. The home response would be a powerful shot by Zihni Demiray but it would lack the accuracy of Wish’s at the other end. Wish would continue to pose a threat and his bicycle kick on 33 minutes looked to have doubled the lead but it cannoned back off the woodwork with Bound beaten. The second goal would duly arrive after the interval, though, as the visitors looked to put the game to bed. Kris Krafty would be the scorer as he headed home a Merry cross to the joy of the travelling fans. EspAda would make a brave effort to salvage something from the game but late chances saw Demiray put a half-volley off-target while Patric Torebring’s header brought a decent save out of Delirious. While MrJames will have been happy with the win he was well aware that he still needs help from elsewhere and joked with Gooners’ next opponents saying ‘Mojos it’s up to you, don’t fail me.’ Malteseexpert hasn’t been training with his side for quite some time now and with the end of season approaching change might be in the air.
Wortley are also just two points back from Gooners following an impressive 2-1 victory at 1863 Munich. The first-half was a relatively quiet affair with just a Paulinho Santos free-kick causing any sort of excitement; albeit not much as the midfielder’s strike was some way from causing Blacksmith any trouble in goal. However, the second-half would be much more eventful with several chances at either end. Stephane Aoudou had wasted a free-kick for the hosts by blasting high and wide before wortley took the lead; a free-kick of their own being despatched into the net courtesy of the cultured boot of Santos. However, the home side were in no mood to throw in the towel following this goal and were level on 59 minutes; Turlough Daly placing a precise header beyond Jenning following an excellent cross from Edwards. Control of the game would continue to fluctuate, though, and an excellent low shot by Santos from distance re-established the visitors' lead. Jake Shiver might have given them more comfort but his header was tipped over by Blacksmith although Jenning repaid the compliment at the other end by holding comfortably from an Eliott Malloy header. Wortley looked to put the seal on victory in injury-time but Rai Kike put his lob over although it wouldn’t cost his side any points. Thegtreatlordbags will be using the old adage of taking it one game at a time as his side look to capitalise on any slip-ups from the sides above and a draw against EspAda would, at the least, secure his side promotion into Division Two. Anderson’s focus will be turning to the off-season and the fans will await any forays into the transfer market as they anticipate a strong campaign next term.
Alsancak moved back into fifth courtesy of a 5-0 triumph at basement boys Norfolk N Chance. As has often been the case this season Norfolk succumbed in a one-sided first-half and only started playing once the game was out of sight. Fraizer Campbell flicked an early header wide for Alsancak before a more precise aerial attack by Gabriel Agbonlahor gave the visitors a 1-0 lead on five minutes. Campbell would waste another headed chance by putting it too close to Clemens but they would go 2-0 ahead as Fabrice Muamba powered in a shot from inside the area on 11 minutes. The chances would keep coming and a header by Rory Burston made it 3-0 before Klyde Krippner nearly helped the away side with a dangerous back-pass; fortunately for Norfolk it wasn’t near the goal. 4-0 would arrive on 28 minutes as Campbell had better look with a long range lob which left Clemens helpless. Mark Noble would benefit from some fortune when he made it 5-0 on 33 minutes as he looked to have mishit his effort on goal only for it to wrong-foot Clemens and add to home woes. Norfolk were competitive in a quiet second-half which saw only two chances. Alsancak might have added another goal but Muamba’s driving shot went wide while a bicycle effort at the other end saw Andy Howe put the ball just over. Ultimately it was another successful round for Wienersnitzel’s side as they look to finish a very creditable fifth although a tough trip to Dream Team awaits on Christmas Day. Howemiester takes his team to Rolling Thunder on the same day with Bookmakers being asked to price up who will score the 100th goal past Norfolk this season.
Rolling Thunder might not be too confident going into that clash, though, as they suffered a 4-1 defeat at Cressex on their travels. Cressex were true to form once more as their game produced a host of chances. Emil Rojas would start things off by heading off-target on three minutes and they would take the lead 10 minutes later as Dan-Ake Rothflod produced a superb diving header to beat Jorquera. Lauro Poggi would then flick a header over while Emil Rojas put a lob against the bar as Cressex dominated the first half-hour. Thunder’s first chance came on 32 minutes but Clooney was on hand to tip Jovan Gagic’s header over the bar. Meanwhile, Rojas went close once more at the other end as this time he saw his header hit the crossbar. More chances would follow in the second 45 minutes as both sides looked to attack. Tomas Tiribocchi nearly followed Rothflod’s opener by putting in a diving header but it would go just wide of the target. It would be Rothflod who would make it 2-0 as his fine finish from a breakaway saw Cressex take a firm grip on the game. Thunder responded quickly, though, and a powerful strike from Gagic would have the deficit back to just one. Cressex wouldn’t seem too concerned with this goal and were back on the front foot straight from the resultant kick-off; Douglas Wallberg’s chip again testing the goal frame. Wallberg would follow by placing a header just wide while Gagic fired a warning at the other end as his shot beat Clooney but struck a post. Indeed, Thunder were seemingly growing in confidence and Danilo Bauza saw a header thump against the bar. Cressex would capitalise on this good fortune and a thumping free-kick from Rojas made it 3-1 on 68 minutes. Just three minutes later and it would be 4-1 with Tryggvi Valsson smashing home following a dangerous corner by Rothflod. Still they would search for more goals and Rojas had a free-kick excellently saved by Jorquera. Thunder would suffer more disappointment in injury-time as Gagic received a red for elbowing and will miss their next match. Villan_RAS’s side continue to be involved in entertaining matches and the fans will be hopeful they can match this style with more consistent results next season. While Vehusheia will be disappointed with the defeat he won’t let his players dwell on it at this late stage in the season.
Mighty Mojos had a successful evening as they defeated Jammas AllStars 3-1 at Mojo Arena. They were given a flying start as Ledley Hodson rounded Frezzolini in the very first minute to slot home the opening goal. Six minutes later and it was 2-0 as Phillip Williams produced an excellent diving header to leave the AllStars stunned. Williams tried to repeat the dose later in the half but was this time denied by Frezzolini while Amadeo Larreina’s lob at the other end was saved by Housham. The visitors would pull a goal back before the break, though, as Teobaldo Bispo got a clever header in on target which fooled Housham. They appeared to still be buoyed by this goal at the start of the second-half and were nearly level as Margrott Ashdown’s free-kick struck a post. However, this would be as close as they would get for the remainder of the game and they would soon find themselves 3-1 down. Michel Montolio delivered a precise header to meet Buta’s cross and give the home side some breathing space. Timotei Buta himself might have added a further goal but his header was repelled. However, it would be another big win for the Mojos and Joshy was already looking forward to his big clash with Gooners who he said they ‘don’t fear but are respectful of them.’ Jamma will be keen to see the back of this season and he will be hoping the change report is kind enough to allow him a platform from which to build for his next campaign.

Yeah
Cony Tottee was in jubilant mood today despite his sides heavy defeat to Futsal FC.
This was mainly due to Cony's early finish from work which saw him spen most of the afternoon in the pub.
Hopefully this will be a trend that will continue into 2010 when his side might actually start winning.

Gooners Build For The Future
Gooners have been busy training their players and the coach is adamant many a star will be born next season! Top of his players to watch out for is Kyle Lang, already a first team regular and key to this seasons amazing turn around, Kyle has been picked out by his manager as next seasons player of the season. From the Young guns he picked Winterburn and Bould to make real progress and Wiltord will finally get the starts he craves.
As for players leaving, F.M.R was quoted as saying there will be several experienced quality players leaving and it will be a sad day for F.M.R when they go and they have served this club very well and im sure whoever buys them will appreciate them as much as i have. They will include Tony Adams and Gilberto Silva these players will not being going on the cheap and have proven they are quality already and they have no form issues and may jump askill bar yet! 100% Campbell will be listed and cost is very negotiable.
Im also open to very good offers on Patrick Vieira and Freddie Ljungberg again quality players who may yet jump a bar or two so i cant give figures until after the change report come in. Last but not least by any means is Ian Wright this saga has dragged on for an entire season now! We will list heim at a premium if the right offer comes we will take it with great sadness! He is a terrific player but has struggled with form due to injury this season and even though his record is outstanding i beleive if the offer is correct then we must accept. If such an offer does not come to fruition he will retire at the club and would not be listed again in the future.
All other players i would not even consider any bids for no matter how high we expect massive things from the change reports and the core of players we have should see us remain as strong for many seasons to come! As for purchases we in my mind require atleast a 9 skill midfielder and a 9 skill defender to see us dominate for another season. In my mind the Midfielder would have those special qualities not shown by Bergkamp or Kyle eg pacy, cool as ice and with an eye for goal of course... so this will probably be a new record signing as these qualities wont come cheap!

Christmas Cracker
You cant write stuff like this
Christmas day battle of the top two, battle of the Strollers!
Anything but victory for Kirkbride sees West Brom crowned champions.
WBS need just a solitary point but manager dinkydave insists they are out to win.
"Its not easy playing for a draw and whats the point? we'll be playing our usual brand of passing attacking football and see what happens. To give the fans a Christmas present like this would be awesome and at Kirkbride it would be extra special. As ive said before though Jazza has done wonders with that team and i have a lot of respect for them"
WBS enjoyed a comprehensive 4-1 victory in their meeting earlier in the year but Kirkbride were only cutting their teeth in the top flight at the time and have enjoyed a great run of results that sees them in second place.
So, which Strollers will be celebrating on Christmas Day???

Promotion Battle Is On
'We have come on strong recently, so yes I do feel that we deserve to be in 3rd place. The squad have shown character to bounce back from a poor start and ensure we have had a great finish.'
This was HH's response to the simple question 'Do you deserve to be in the promotion places?' and it is quite clear how he feels.
With 2 games to go until the end of the season, only a single point seperates These Charming Men and The Lone Wanderers with a place in division 1 up for grabs.
'There is no reason why we can't make it in division 1. We may not be the strongest team in this division, but what we lack in skill we make up for in heart, courage and passion. We have a sizeable war chest to use on new players, whether or not it is for a stronger division or for another shot at promotion we will have to wait to see.'
And HH even had some kind words to say about fellow manager RDCM who is in charge at These Charming Men, the team who are also vying for the spot that The Lone Wanderers currently occupy.
'RDCM is a great manager, it will be a shame if These Charming Men collapse with so few games remaining, however if we gain from this I will be delighted yet saddened at the same time. I know without a doubt that TCM will make sure that the race goes right to the wire and if they don't get promoted this season, they will next as they have an excellent manager at the helm of the club.'
And rumours began circulating that HH was set to quit The Lone Wanderers after the season has ended. However HH had already left the press room and the journalists were baying for blood.
A club spokesman arrived with a statement to appease the journalists with the information they so badly wanted.
'HH is taking a break at the end of the season due to personal reasons. HH has given us his all in the previous two seasons and we owe him a break after what his been a tough ride for him in his personal life over the past two weeks. Hopefully we can see him feeling bright and back to his usual self after this break which he thoroughly deserves. At this moment in time he is not looking to resign from the club he has become strongly attached too.'
And on a lighter note HH had left a message for all the managers within the RM Invitational league system:
'To all managers, from the bottom of the 3rd division to the top of the top league, I wish you all the best for Christmas and wish you all luck in your respective league fixtures. Have a great day.

Costly win for Mighty Mojos
Going into this match Mighty Mojos manager Joshy was looking to avoid his 5th defeat of the season and continue his sides current form. As for the visitors Jammas AllStars were still looking for their second win of the season following their opening day victory over Norfolk N Chance FC dubbed the whipping boys of Division 3.
As the action got underway Mighty Mojos exploded into life and took less then 60 seconds to open the scoring. Grigory Kunitsyn's breakaway pass found Ledly Hodson who slotted away for the Mojos making it 1-0. A dream start for Joshy and his joy was clear for all to see. Mighty Mojos only needed another 6 minutes to double their lead and continue their dream start. This time Timotei Buta's looping corner kick found Phillip Williams's head and he made great use of it giving his side a 2-0 lead in the opening 7 minutes. Mojos Continued to controll the first half. Late on in the first half and Mighty Mojos were caught napping. Amadeo Larreina's corner kick found Teobaldo Bispo who slotted away from close range pulling one back for Jammas AllStars just before the break making it 2-1.
After the restart Mighty Mojos were looking to press for a 3rd goal and regain their 2 goal buffer. In the 59th minute Phillip Williams match was over after being hacked down it looked bad for the Mojos ace as it took and lengthy time getting him off the pitch. Mighty Mojos pressed for another goal and always looked like the more likely team to score again. On the 72nd minute Mighty Mojos finally broke through and made it 3-1. Timotei Buta's corner kick finding the head of Michel Montolio who headed home for the Mojos. The home side were able to see out the match and protect their lead to win the match 3-1. After the match Joshy had this to say...
" On paper this match looked easy but like many managers will tell you no match is easy in reality. We have won today but at a big cost i have had confirmed reports that Phillip Williams will be out till the 7th of January 2010. We will have to continue on without him for now hopefully another player can fill his boots till then. Up next is league leaders and promotion elet Gooners, we face a massive task traverling to Highbury. Gooners have only lost once all season at home so my mini record against the promotion pack will be tested to the max on the 25th of December. "

Threw it away
Kirkbride Strollers lost a 2 goal lead away at defending champions ThunderCats to draw the match 2-2. This draw virtually hands the game to DinkyDave and his West Brom team. Strollers found themselves 2-0 up with about 15 minutes left with goals from Ellison and the revelation of the season Stephen Robinson who has bagged 14 goals from midfield this season.
Manager Jazza1958 said after the match " We would normally be happy at getting a point at ThunderCats but we knew if we had any realistic chances of winning the lead we needed a win and to lose a 2 goal lead was particularly disappointing. We play West Brom at The Bush next week and will be looking to continue our 100% home record and at least take the title raced into the last week of the season. I am not conceding the title yet but am very happy if we can maintain our top three position until the end of the season"

Gooners Hit Back
All has been quiet from the Gooners camp recntly, with the coach preferring to go about his business rather than become involved in the mind games and press speculation over his teams end of season. Many of Gooners rivals seemed to think after a loss a couple of rounds ago that Gooners would fail to beat said rivals and relinquish their grasp on the silverware.
After such a quiet press related period we were sure the coach had alot to get off his chest and he didnt dissapoint!
Firstly id like to thank our fans this season for their unwavering support and beleif, secondly i stated my intentions the day i arrived and have carried out those intentions perfectly in my mind. If you recall i said that this team could play but needed organizing at the back and tactically we have been on our game for most of this season. As for the defeat its simple had MRJames not been such a bad loser/liar claiming he didnt want to win and wasnt setting tactics... i myself would have sent out a 4-5-1 easily capable of winning that game but after his comments i decided to make a game of it for the fans, a poor decision by me and the blame stops at my door, I do hope that Dream Team realise they will play a stronger Gooners team in Div 2 next season who will want to destroy them! and see them return to Div 3! Although in reality they are probably going to be our biggest rivals again. Before i was asked the question what am i most looking forward to in Div 2 and i said playing Arsenal in a derby game... i think i speak for all the lads now when i say... Defeating Dream Team twice and staying unbeaten for a whole season! There is now a rather large rivalry between the two clubs and it wont do Dream Team any favors in the near future! To draw them in the cup would be a Dream come true for us!
We are sure we can maintain our form until the end of the current season and both games are at home, so taking the silverware infront of our fantastic fans is the goal Although at the same time we are gaining experience for many of our players and with this always comes some risk. If we do take the title this season i thnk it would be deserved over the course of the season we have played some of the best and certainly the most consistent football and have gotten stronger as time went on. We now have one eye on the Cup already and a double.. playing teams from higher Divisions will be fantastic and just what we need right now, as i look to strengthen us in all areas. There will be many changes in the pre season i will shrink the current squad and only add quality and youth but the fans should not worry as none of the first eleven is going anywhere!
As for myself this season has been a fantastic experience in my short career and i proved to myself that i have moved up a level from last season in the Ultimate League where i failed in a simular position. Taking the silverware at my first attempt here would be amazing but the season has been fantastic and even if we were to slip up at the last i wouldnt change a thing. As for my future here you can rest assured im in no hurry to leave this fantastic league, i see a direction i want to take this team in and the future looks great for all Gooners supporters. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both the admin and all the other managers for making this such a brilliant season!

2 games from glory
An excellent win against title challengers These Charming Men has keptSplott in pole position for the title with 2 games to go. After the game manager CM paid credit to TCM who deserved more from the match: "they came here to play football and when they took the lead I thought it could be one of those days as confidence was low after the Juventus result. Luckily Ravage pulled us back in it and then we got lucky with a penalty, after that they had to chase the game and the third goal flattered us - good luck to them in their promotion chase, they have a good squad and manager and deserve to go up".
2 more wins will seal the title for Splott, the next match is a Christmas day special against BitterSweeters - whether anyone will turn up for the game remains to be seen!

hope
after looking at this season performance, rovers management are happy enough just to see this team avoid relegation. so the planning for next season is focusing on youth players and also two or three senior players will be called into the squad.
next season, rovers have set their target to win the division and promoted to the RM league.

Clambering Up
After a rather tense game away to Bittersweeters, HappyHibee1991 had nothing to say to the press apart from 'Full interview tomorrow, and I mean full.' perhaps he was too busy checking the results of the other clubs around his squad?
He will be glad to know that These Charming Men have slipped out of the top 3 and that The Lone Wanderers have climbed back into the 3rd placed position. I'm sure we will all be looking forward to a full interview tomorrow to gather his thoughts on what is sure to be an exciting end to the season for all in the battle for promotion.

Arsenal Manage Draw
Arsenal managed to earn a 3-3 draw away from home.
Seeing two midfielders banned Arsenal had to change their formation to cope with the loss of 2 players, they coped well and avoided defeat which is the main thing with such low players.
With only 2 games left Arsenal are on track for their projected 4th place finish

Absolutely Awful
PSV managed was left in a depressed mood after watching his side humiliated by a 6-1 defeat.
"Ive been playing x11 since late 2005 and im pretty certain that ranks as one of the worst result Ive ever had. That result robs me of a striker who I had hopes for during the change report, but any hopes of a skill raise have been washed away. The result also means relegation looks more than certain. For the nest 2 games we will only play for pride."
For now we have to focus on next season. Im quite certain we will have to rebuild our strike force.

Maurice Christmas
With nothing else to celebrate, Kensington Boys Club celebrate the holiday's together as always by drinking heated beverages and watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Dorian Lonsdale and Frederick Smyth are both new to the tradition but are eased into the proceedings by captain Jacobs who knows all the lines.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all get out of my way I am going to be promoted like it or not you thieving bastards.

"I just want to keep this short and simple. I'm not dead, I haven't been replaced yet and I certainly didn't try to assinate Luca Tonizu.
I just want to make my future at the club clear. Whether I stay or leave the club will depend on how the change report goes."
"I hope this explains everything"

Heaven for Bryan Adams
Bryan Adams Athletic offered hope in the RM Invitational title fight by defeating West Brom Strollers 2-1 at Summer of 69 Dome. Eadbhard Liffey had a 13th minute free-kick saved by Carson as the hosts warmed to their task of facing the league leaders. They would receive a massive boost before half-time as Logan MacCanish toe-poked home on 40 minutes to give them a 1-0 lead. West Brom finally awoke from their slumber on 63 minutes but Cyrille Regis found a post in his way after beating Sapienza with a toe-poke of his own. The game would have a dramatic final 10 minutes with Enzo Maresca firing the visitors level on 81 minutes. Moments later Richard Sneekes had the chance to put them in front but his fine strike would test the woodwork before going safe. The home side would also suffer courtesy of the goal frame as Percival Horsfield’s header struck a post as they searched for a winning goal. Miles Madeley looked to have wasted their chance as he curled a shot wide on 95 minutes but miraculously the home side still had time to forge one more attack and MacCanish rose majestically to head past Carson. SLS confirmed he had ‘mixed feelings’ about the result as scores elsewhere meant their relegation was confirmed but he was ‘chuffed with manager of the round’ and a brilliant three points. DD will stress to his side the importance of three points against Hun Haters on Tuesday as the following round sees them take on Kirkbride.
Kirkbride themselves enjoyed a stunning day as they thrashed Manchester United 7-0 at The Bush. Andrew Harrison toe-poked home the opener on four minutes and the home side never looked back. Billy Maneater had a driving shot saved by Kuszczak before Stephen Robinson curled in a free-kick for 2-0 on 18 minutes. A powerful header by Mark Blacklock narrowly missed the target but Craig Stockdale did shoot home the third on 29 minutes. 4-0 would soon follow as Blacklock lobbed the ball over the advancing ‘keeper following a fine breakaway move and they would take this lead into the half. The second-half saw further goals with Blacklock heading home his second goal on 47 minutes before Keith Ellison steered in a sixth on 51 minutes. The rout was completed late in the game as Harrison hit through Kuszczak’s legs for a clinical seventh goal. Jazza was modest following the victory and put it down to United not being ‘prepared for the match’ but he did add that with his side being ‘strong at home’ their match with West Brom ‘might turn into a title decider.’ The loss might shock Pakya when the manager returns but such things can happen if you leave your players to their own devices for any length of time.
ThunderCats stayed in third with an easy 3-0 win at Hun Haters. The visitors would strike with their first chance as Izet Hadzic placed home a fine header. Fabricio Cidade might have added a second moments later but toe-poked wide while Marcelino Morte had a dangerous moment in front of his own goal at the other end but luckily his header drifted off-target. The second-half would open up as ThunderCats became rampant. Ursu would first save from a Ted Caird shot from distance and he would then watch as his teammates took over proceedings. Leonardo Borja put a lob attempt just over the bar while Cidade also put his header over the bar. Borja would make it 2-0 on 78 minutes with a calm finish in the area while a diving header by Jake Sephton was well-saved by Boruc. Placido Polo would add the third but it had an element of luck to it as his mishit shot evaded the ‘keeper. Boruc did redeem himself on 95 minutes with an outstanding save to deny Alirio Ramalhao from distance but he couldn’t prevent his side from slipping to defeat. Baz’s side face a massive match on Tuesday against Kirkbride and if they are victorious second-place will look very likely and they might retain an outside shot of the title. Celticchris will undoubtedly be happy to see the end of the current campaign as they sit rock bottom of the division following 15 losses in 19 matches.
The Vikings had a comfortable evening as they disposed of Totaalvoetbal 3-0 to stay in fourth spot. It took a while for the home side to get into their attacking rhythm but from their very first forward surge they would take the lead; Vassilis Papakostas heading expertly past Metelo on the half-hour. Justin Portway very nearly made it 2-0 before the break but his lob header hit the bar, much to the relief of the struggling young ‘keeper. Totaal became more competitive after the break but Pierre van Diemen couldn’t get his shot to curl enough and it went wide. They would receive a boost in the shape of the sending-off of Evstathios Gourmas for aggression that would have been better served in the WWE. However, the home side remained confident and won themselves a penalty; Anastasios Tassiopoulos making no mistake to double their advantage. A free-kick by Aris Almanidis needed tipping over by Metelo but the ‘keeper was horribly wrong-footed as Papakostas’ mishit shot on 66 minutes trickled into the net. Totaal created a couple of late chances in a vain effort to get back into the contest but van Diemen put a lob high and wide before flicking a header well off-target in a disappointing display from the normally brilliant front man. Eagles explained that the win ‘was fairly expected’ before going on to add that they are now ‘guaranteed to finish no lower than fifth’ which his side are ‘delighted’ with. Robin Meeblind admitted that he is ‘looking to strengthen his squad’ when the transfer window opens and there might be a few in the current team who are looking nervously over their shoulders at the moment.
AFC Stanley and Underdogz United both secured their safety after a 1-1 draw between the sides at Garden Street. A free-kick by Matts Wallman needed saving by Casillas while Zlatan Izuhimovic had a toe-poke saved by Hessbo as both sides found openings in the first 45 minutes. Per-Elvis Granander’s shot forced Casillas into further acrobatics on 36 minutes and the ‘keeper was the equal of the shot as he palmed it away. United took advantage of their ‘keeper’s performance by hitting the front as Izuhimovic placed in a fine shot on 42 minutes to give them a half-time lead. The second-half saw United create the majority of chances but it would be the home side who would find the net. Robin van Izu wasted an early chance as he shot wide and Granander thundered in an effort at the other end to tie the game up. Luis Carlos Almeida nearly restored the visitor’s lead but his header struck a post while Izuhimovic’s lob was saved by Hessbo. A free-kick by van Izu would be easily held by the ‘keeper while Granander remained dangerous at the other end but his lob just had a little too much on it. The same could be said of van Izu’s effort at the other end and the game would finish in a stalemate which would actually suit both sides just fine. Stanley News reported that ‘Markham33 has a lot of hard work to do in the close season if he is to get his side to challenge next season’ but the fans will remain confident in their manager. Izu declared himself ‘happy to be staying in the top flight for at least one more season’ but his forward line looks under threat after admitting they have had ‘huge problems scoring goals this season.’
Sanity Clause continued to show a marked improvement as they gained a point in a 2-2 draw at Santos. They would begin the game really strongly and had already seen a header from Sammy Shepherd punched away by home ‘keeper Valdez before they took a hold of the game. Yves Vairelles produced a superb diving header to give them a 1-0 lead on 19 minutes and just a minute later a chip by Shinosuke Isimaru had them 2-0 ahead. However, the home side fought back and Adriano Ribeiro halved the deficit following a fine header while a free-kick by Torbjorn Alshammar went wide. Cesar Duarte would level proceedings as the home side dominated the aerial battle in the opposition’s penalty area. They weren’t quite so strong defensively, though, and Eugene Kameni Idriss nearly had the visitors back in front but his flick header hit the woodwork. There would just be two further chances in a quieter second-half; Alshammar lobbing against the bar unfortunately for the home side while Idriss also smacked the bar with an excellent free-kick attempt at the other end. Sean7 was disappointed with how his season had petered out but said they have a ‘good blend of experience and potential’ and he would only be ‘tweaking some positions’ in the off-season. Crismorena continues his rebuilding job at Sanity Clause and with form looking strong Division One might need to fear his side next term.
