Gooners Charmed

Gooners were again unlucky to come away with nothing in an exciting game versus Charming, it was an open game with both sides creating many chances. Both teams have players among the top scorers in the division but the game was decided in the early minutes when Charming took the lead via Shaun Mc Fadden, scoring what would be the only goal of the game. It was a well mannered good game of football and both coaches seemed to enjoy the football on display and genuinely warm hand shakes were exchanged afterwards.

Coach FMR had this to say:

"I'm sure it was an enjoyable game for the neutral but for me it was a nightmare to watch, rarely will you see my lads have six shots on goal and not score! Their keeper played a blinder today and was probably the difference between the two sides. It was good to see my players back to their best and they looked to be enjoying their selves out there today.

Charming are a fantastic well respected team and having come so close before, they probably deserve to go on and win the thing now. As for ourselves of course we never give up but alot depends on the next few games. There will be debuts for many of our younger players and if they can perform well and get us the required results, then for sure the title is not out of our reach by along way yet. Although with that said the development of the team must come first, I am even willing to fall back into the chasing pack and take my chances if needs must. I think we are strong enough to deal with that situation should it arise.

The next two games against Abu Dhabi we are very much looking forward to, im sure there will be many young talented players on display that wiill give a good insight into the future of both teams. I am also sure it will be a alot closer than many expect and I am sure Talinmer will have his team well organized. We are at home first which will hopefully help my young players cope with the occasion, the ref looks to be the right one for such a game and it is the first time I have crossed swords with Talinmer... I think it will be a very good game."
