Brotherly love out of the window

AJ Rovers and Cardiff City would play out a draw that would see AJ stay in touch with the promotion places and Cardiff gain another point and place in their battle against the drop. It was a tale of two free kicks with Sonny Vickerman opening the scoring with a fantastic free kick in the first few minutes of the game for AJ Rovers and Cardiff City snatching a point with a late free kick by Stephen Julius. Not the most exciting of games but a point that could prove very valuable for both sides come the end of the season.

Final score: AJ Rovers 1-1 Cardiff City

Brotherly love went out of the window for 90 minutes as African Imitators and Bonkers clashed at the Drought Circle. Joel Weymouth helped Bonkers take a lead in the first minute but it only served to anger an African Imitators side who are fast hitting form. Savo Milosevic equalised in the 6th minute and a few minutes later a poachers goal from Ronald Mcdonald fired African Imitators into the lead, a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Milosevic made it 3-1 and then 4-1 in the 34th and 54th minutes respectively, sealing the win and his hat trick. Just 5 minutes later Milosevic added to his already impressive tally scoring a fourth goal. Stefan Beelenkamp restored some pride for Bonkers with a late double, with his last goal coming in the last few seconds of the game. It was such an end to end game that though Gravitons had won the family bragging rights, everyone would have been entertained by such a high scoring end to end game. Bonkers find themselves in 11th but only 3 points from safety and African Imitators are only a point away from the promotion spots and getting stronger all the time.

Final score: African Imitators 5-3 Bonkers

Splott Rovers delighted talented manager Carbonmonoxide by firing themselves 6 points clear at the top of Division 1 against a bottom of the league AC Milan side. Splott showed the current difference between the two sides with a straight forward victory. Paul-Phillip Ravage opened the scoring in the 8th minute before leaving the field injured a few minutes later. The other goals would come in the first half through two Reed Fantastic free kicks. The first one was a well placed shot on goal that left the Milan keeper with no chance and the second free kick was a well worked set piece that left Winston Badger to fire home putting the result beyond any doubt.

Final score: Splott Rovers 3-0 AC Milan

Carthage FC just edged a tight affair against Kensington Boys Club. The only incident of any note was the winner headed by Ad Herbal in the 72nd minute. Defeat leaves Kensington one point from the relegation spots and one point below Cardiff City. With only 9 points being the difference between Kensington's current spot and the promotion places there is still time for anything to happen this season. Carthage find themselves still in 7th place but only 3 points away from a promotion spot.

Final score: Carthage FC 1-0 Kensington Boys Club

Pahang United would fight to keep their place in the promotion places whilst making promotion rivals F.C. Greatness suffer at Padang MPK. The game only came to life in the second half when Ray Eastwood opened the scoring for Pahang from a corner. Pahang created more chances and were deserving of their win but it was only made sure in the 88th minute when Kilian Strongbow scored from another corner. The two set pieces made the difference in the game. Despite their defeat F.C. Greatness find themselves only 3 points from Pahang who sit in 3rd place.

Final score: Pahang United 2-0 F.C. Greatness

It was a tale of two ends of the table as Bumerang and Smurftastic Smurfs shared the spoilts in an uninspiring contest. In a contest that Smurfs probably just about edged the only incidents of any note were the bookings of Smurfs players Giorgio Blundetto and Ernie Ormondroyd and the unfortunate injury to Joseph Heffer of Bumerang. The result would see Bumerang stay in the relegation spots and Smurftastic Smurfs stay in the promotion spots but lose ground on the league leaders.

Final score: Bumerang 0-0 Smurftastic Smurfs
