After drawing yet another game, this time with West Brom Strollers, pundits around the league have been comparing Santos season with Underdogz United's campaign last year. Underdogz, known more for their cautious approach than their offensive prowess, picked up the most ties in RMI last year. After Izuka left the team, the footballing gods decided for the curse to be transferred to another club. And what better irony than to curse a (former) offensive superpower in Santos FC? Indeed, looking at the all-time standings at RMI shows Santos with the 3rd most league goals scored, making it all the more puzzling of Santo's lack of success.
Many have mentioned the toughness of the new league, indeed Sean7 mentioning several times of the competitive nature of the league. Title favourites RMB and Eaglesrjh, who have pulled away from the rest of the league, have also mentioned about the strong teams and astute managers.
Not confident with his team, manager Sean7 has decided to try cautious approaches to games, resulting in one points gained for most of the season. However, a mere 4 points away from the drop zone, with OAP Pop Punk and West Brom chasing their tails, it will be tough to overcome relegation with simple one point "wins".
The team recently discovered that manager Sean7 had disappeared from any interviews with the press, in an effort to fix this hex of the 'draw team'. Word has it that deep in the Himalyan Mountains, there lies an ancient yogi who sat under a frozen Bodhi Tree for 50 years before discovering the meaning of life....
and also how to correctly answer the question 'do these jeans make me look fat? to their girlfriend.
Manager sean7 will seek to get counsel from the wiseman on how to reverse this hex, and go back to the offensive football that fans are accustomed to seeing. Stay tuned.
