Totaal Struggling to Keep Pace

Totaalvoetbal took four points out of six last week as they tried to keep pace at the top of the table.

With two home games the challenge was there to win them both and lay down the gauntlet to fellow challengers.

However, a strong Pop Punk challenge last Tuesday saw them draw 0-0. With few chances in the game neither could lay claim to deserving the victory.

Totaalvoetbal would improve on Friday to record a 2-1 home victory over White Hawk FC but they left it late to claim the three points.

Zlatan Izuhimovic had put the home side ahead but when Ryan Dharmsingh powered in an equaliser on 59 minutes things were looking bleak for Totaal. However, Willliam Ralph Dean saved them late on with a finish of quality and set the side back on track.

Robin Meeblind spoke on Saturday after the two matches:
‘We’re not firing on all cylinders that’s for sure,’ opened the coach.

‘We are creating enough but perhaps lacking that cutting edge or maybe just a little confidence. I’m sure it’ll come.’
