Super Kev Stirs Sauce

Reggae Reggae Sauce put together one of their most impressive performances for a long while to win 3-1 away at AFC Boo Boys. After a 0-0 draw on Friday, Boo Boys were hoping home advantage would make the difference in this rematch. Mario McKeever had the first chance for the visitors saved but this signalled the intent of Sauce. Kevin Campbell would put them ahead with a powerful low strike from distance on 14 minutes to the delight of the travelling hordes. Rob Blake did nearly strike back for the hosts but his half-volley struck the woodwork and they would find themselves 2-0 down as Campbell added his second with a steered shot on 40 minutes. Sauce would continue their fine work after the break and a lob from Fernando Ronaldo on 63 minutes made it three while Franciszek Kamiski had a flick header held as they looked for more goals. Boo Boys would pull a goal back on 82 minutes courtesy of an Alexander Frolov header but it proved too little too late on this particular day. Xpertelevener might be frustrated to see his side still rooted to the foot of the table but with four points out of the last six the fans will be hoping this is the dawn of a new era under their long-standing manager. Skoolyou paid the price for not setting subs as a couple of injuries early on in the contest made them play light and defeat from this point seemed inevitable. He will hope to prepare better for Friday’s match.

Sauce would remain at the foot of the table as Tottenham continued their recent fine run of form with a 2-0 success against Alsancak. Having picked up four points recently, Ocs’ side had found a new sense of belief going into the return fixture with an Alsancak side who continue to defy the average age rule. An early free-kick would see Tomas Master bring a comfortable save out of Frost while Danny Rose mishit a shot against a post at the other end. Master would put his next effort over the bar while Fraizer Campbell saw red for the visitors late in the half for brutal play. This would be a key turning point in the contest as Tottenham set about Alsancak in the second 45 minutes. A penalty on 54 minutes would see Master hit a tame effort straight at Frost while the ‘keeper also saved from a Master free-kick. On the hour-mark, though, Tottenham would hit the front courtesy of an excellent lob by Michael Dawson and moments later it would be two with Marcus Young connecting well from distance to beat Frost. Dawson would waste a shooting opportunity on 69 minutes before Master continued his frustrating evening by heading over four minutes later. Alsancak bravely tried to fight back and had a Lee Cattermole header chalked off before Mark Noble shot over. Howie Colby would then see a lob strike the bar but it just wouldn’t fall for the visitors on this day. Ocs was somewhat speechless with the only words coming out of his mouth being ‘omg.....a second win!!!’ Wienersnitzel will undoubtedly be disappointed by the past two matches against Spurs but will realise his side are still only a point off third.

At the head of things Morley carried on their merry way with a 4-0 home success over Cressex. Having been virtually untouchable over the first-half of the season the Yorkshire side began the second in similar fashion. Kingsley Jagger was denied early on by Martinzon but Reno Robredo did have Morley ahead when he shot in from a tight angle on 16 minutes. Gwilym Cullip would place home a second on 19 minutes before a penalty just before the half-hour saw Florian Arnautu make it 3-0. Dustin Wotton hit a post with a fine header while Arnautu blasted over as wave after wave of attacks continued. Angres Kafka would see a free-kick go close before the break and Morley would go into it in complete control. Wotton would quickly add a fourth at the start of the second-half as he headed home powerfully while he would also see a lob strike the angle. Kafka would also test the woodwork with a well-taken free-kick before Ubaldo Andre had the visitors’ sole chance held by Gaughan in injury-time. Leeg21 will surely be counting down the wins until promotion and perhaps the title are secured with his side looking far too strong for this division. Villan_RAS will be happy to have these two games out of the way and they can continue trying to eke out victories over the remainder of the season.

EspAda matched Morley’s feat with a 4-0 win of their own against rudderless 1863 Munich. EspAda will have seen this double-header as a fine chance to pick up six vital points towards promotion to Division Two. Gregor Muller would put a header wide on 11 minutes before Andreas Sommer did put EspAda ahead from a superb free-kick. Zihni Demiray would follow by volleying just off-target while Patric Torebring’s chip hit the bar. Munich would contribute to their own downfall as Alex McQuillan deflected the ball into his own net for 2-0 on 28 minutes and EspAda would continue to attack. Torebring precisely headed home a third on 33 minutes while Sommer had a free-kick saved before the break. More chances came after the interval with Muller missing the target narrowly before Demiray drove home the fourth just after the hour. There was still time for Muller to power another shot just wide but EspAda had done enough to secure a comfortable victory. Crismorena will see a nine-point gap on fourth and be confident of promotion and will still hope for a slip-up or two by Morley in the run-in. Munich fans have to wait patiently for a new manager and in the meantime will have to suffer results like this from time to time.

Crimson Tigers continue to impress and are in third on the back of a 2-0 win at St Omer. With Paulc333’s side in fine form a trip to youthful Omer held few fears for the Tigers. Arne Seiffert gave them an early scare, though, as his well-placed shot struck a post but from then on it was all about the Tigers. Zoli Denes placed home a header on nine minutes to open the scoring and Miroslav Burkhart would do likewise towards the end of the half to put them 2-0 ahead. The Tigers would retain control during the second 45 minutes and had a couple of late chances. Burkhart would put a header too close to Hamshaw and the ‘keeper would also save from his curled shot. Nevertheless, Paul’s side could be happy with another job well done and they can now set their sights on entertaining Morley next. ConyTottee will be focusing on maintaining his side’s form figures during the second-half of the season so they can continue their progression under his tutelage.

Anime Allstars and Rolling Thunder were involved in a 0-0 draw in the divisions other match-up. With Anime winning the first fixture 2-1 the hope within the camp was high that home advantage would lead to a similar outcome from this match. Indeed, they would start well and a Johnny Douglas header brushed a post on two minutes. Benjamin Unesson would head straight at Mamiya at the other end before Chobits Chii looped a header over for Anime. Naru Narusegawa shot straight at Jorquera as Anime continued to look the more threatening before Kugen Tenko hit a free-kick off-target. The second-half saw Anime continue to edge the match but also continue to struggle to find a cutting edge. Thunder would threaten on 51 minutes but Marcelo da Silva’s free-kick was caught and Anime would have the final couple of chances. Douglas would head over on 57 minutes before da Silva saw red for dangerous play for Thunder. Douglas would then see a volley kicked away by Jorquera and the hosts had to settle for a point. Joshy recently told fans that he was still ‘as keen as ever’ and they will be positive about the future of the club. Vehusheia won’t be too disappointed with a point after this match and will hope to give EspAda a good contest on Friday.
