What is a hot splott not?

Cardiff City find themselves teetering above the relegation zone after defeat to Smurftastic Smurfs. Billion dollar player Ernie Ormondroyd proved to be the difference in this game opening the scoring with an unstoppable 56th minute free kick. Ormondroyd then showed that he isn't as good at penalties as free kicks as he missed a 69th minute penalty but then he redeemed himself and proved my point in the 86th minute with another impressive free kick sealing all 3 points. After this victory Smurfs find themselves sitting comfortably in second place and Thesmurf said he hopes that if Ernie Ormondroyd and a few other key players can stay fit that it would be enough to see his side return to the top flight. Ernie Ormondroyd is surely too good to play at this level for much longer?

Final score: Cardiff City 0-2 Smurftastic Smurfs

AC Milan gave themselves a chance of avoiding the drop with a hard fought 2-0 win over Carthage FC.
a 31st minute Bernard Lormor header put them in front and then a 63rd minute Paddy McCarthy penalty saw AC Milan take the victory in a tight game. With Milan now within 4 points of safety surely a few more results like this one could see them reach safety?

Final score: AC Milan 2-0 Carthage FC

Kensington Boys Club manager used his hatred for old players as motivation for his side as they beat African Imitators 1-0. A Maurice Jacobs penalty in the 2nd minute was the only thing to seperate the sides in what was a scrappy clash with lots of bookings. Kensington Boys Club know a few bad results could see them in the relegation zone but a few more results like this one will see them in the promotion spots. A crucial time in their season beckons. African Imitators still stand a great chance of promotion themselves but can ill afford too many more results like this one.

Final score: Kensington Boys Club 1-0 African Imitators

Bonkers hit top form and brought themselves to the edge of safety and leapfrogged their opponents with victory over Bumerang. In a dominant Bonkers performance it was Bumerang who took the lead through a 39th minute Dorian May penalty. Their lead didn't last until half time however as Stefan Beelenkamp smashed a long range shot into the Bumerang net to bring the sides level. Beelenkamp would then hobble off injured and his replacement Innocenzio Filippinetti would seal the points in the 82nd minute, scoring from a corner.

Final score: Bonkers 2-1 Bumerang

FC Greatness brought themselves level with third placed Pahang United with an impressive victory over AJ Rovers. Agostino Filippinetti scored the only goal of the game with a penalty and then marred an impressive performance by being sent off in the 75th minute. Rothion expressed disappointment with an "inconsistent performance" and vowed his side would produce better next time out in order to grab a promotion spot.

Final score: FC Greatness 1-0 AJ Rovers

A headline grabbing performance saw Splott Rovers retain their 6 point lead at the top of the division with victory over promotion chasing Pahang. Pahang took the lead in the first minute Kilian Strongbow catching Splott sleeping to fire his side ahead. Rodney Shuttlewoods first goal for the club brought Splott level in the 14th minute and a 23rd minute Frank Punisher penalty sealed the points for an impressive Splott side. Defeat sees Pahang retain their promotion spot only on goal difference and with the chasing pack so close they will need more wins to stay in the promotion reckoning. Carbonmonoxide said after the game that "it's going to take something special to stop us" and TrueBlueFC said he was disappointed with the result but conceded that Splott deserved their win.

Final score: Splott Rovers 2-1 Pahang United
