Town News
Morley got back to winning ways tonight with a dominant 3-0 win against FCR Cressex, after the lacklustre draw with Crimson Tigers, Morley needed to return to winning ways and Cressex were the ideal opponents.
Morley had defeated Cressex on all four previous occasions and with their opponents struggling to find any consistency a win was expected. Town duly obliged much to the delight of the travelling support, though the game could have been very different had Poggi converted his spot kick on 27 minutes.
Morley punished Cressex's wayward finishing with two quickfire goals in a five minute spell just before half time. Velez smashed in a long range thunderbolt and arrived in the box to head home Kuipers inviting cross to see the away team leading at the break. ArnĂ£utu did what Poggi failed to do and converted from the spot to wrap up an easy win.
Morley sit top of the table at the half way point of the season and still remain unbeaten, more of the same is expected from Morley in the second half of the season and promotion is surely on the cards.
