Viking Land News
This week saw one of the leagues top young guns move from AFC Pop Punk to Bully Boys FC. Ike Dyer transferred over and Bully Boys manager Cathalio11 immediately sang the young strikers praises stating that he might be able to be better than current top young gun Pierre Van Diemen.
Vikings manager Eaglesrjh sat back and smiled at these statements, theres no doubt Dyer has potential and that Van Diemen is already an established legend, but he feels that his young striker Justin Portway has a right to be mentioned in the same breath.
lets look at the stats. age/skill
Van Diemen 23/10
Dyer 22/8
Portway 21/8
So Portway looks more likely than Dyer to be as good as Van Diemen.
Lets look at the goals per game ratio
Van Diemen boasts a healthy 1 goal in 2 games ratio
Portway 1 goal in 2.17 games
Dyer 1 goal every 5.4 games
but being a forward is about more than just goals, it's good to set things up too.
so points to game ratio
Van Diemen 1 point every 1.6 games
Dyer 1 point every 3.4 games
and Justin Portway? 1 point every 1.4 games!
We accept all are young strikers with plenty of class and potential but dont forget to mention Portway in the same breath!
oh and have any of these strikers ever scored back to back hat-tricks? Portway has!
