Anime animate promotion push

With RobinMeeblind away for a short period to tap up a few players from further afield, you're stuck with me reviewing round 14 and round 15. I won't try to copy Robins legendary reviews but I'll keep things short and sweet and let you know what has gone on throughout the league!

Lets start off at The Hayao Miyazaki Stadium where Anime All Stars entertained Tottenham Hotspur. Tension was high ahead of the game with Anime needing a win to keep their promotion hopes alive and Tottenham hoping to extend their best ever run of four games unbeaten. Nothing of great note happened in the first half other than Kranjar and King of Tottenham being booked and Kuriko Kazetsubaki hobbling off injured after a poor challenge. The game was brought to life when Anime opened the scoring through a Sonsaku Hakufu header in the 64th minute. Ledley King would then live up to his reputation by hobbling off injured before his defensive partner Michael Dawson would make Anime sure of the points by scoring an unfortunate own goal. Anime had time to add insult to injury with a late stoppage time goal from Naru Narusegawa crowing a deserved win and making it 8 games unbeaten for Anime.

Final score: Anime All Stars FC 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur.

An absolute bore draw was played out between AFC Boo Boys and Morley Town, just three chances were shared in the entire game and neither side will be happy with a draw. The result would see Boo Boys remain in 6th place but lose ground on the teams above them and see Morley relinquish top spot in division 3. Morley will be particularly unhappy at sustaining three injuries at such an important stage of the season.

Final score: AFC Boo Boys 0-0 Morley Town F.C.

FCR Cressex leapfrogged Rolling Thunder in the table with a hard fought victory over them at the Cressex Astro. Cressex opened the scoring as early as the 2nd minute with a fine goal from Carasario Falcioni. Falcioni would then turn provider for Ubaldo André in the 18th minute extending Cressex's lead to 2-0. This would last for just a minute however as Murilo Varinho would score from a header in the 19th minute. Possession was even between the two sides and with Rolling Thunder just edging the chances they would have liked to have at least got a draw. The game would take a turn for the worse for Rolling Thunder in the 79th minute with goal scorer Murilo Varinho sustaining a long term injury.

Final score: FCR Cressex 2-1 Rolling Thunder

Crimson Tigers would make it an impressive 9 games unbeaten with a resounding victory over managerless 1863 Munich. Crimson had most of the possession and eight chances to Munichs none but they waited until the second half to open the scoring. All three goals came in a wonderful eight minute spell for Crimson, the first goal coming from a Dan Ruffer shot in the box on 71 minutes and then a double from débutante Jez Stafford in the 75th and 79th minute completing the rout.
After the match Munich would get a new manager in Kilie_gers and subsequently change their name to Pink Bus Riders FC.

Final score: Crimson Tigers 3-0 1863 Munich

EspÅda ® would wrestle top spot in division 3 from Morley with an impressive victory at Mosquito Alley the home of Alsancak F.C. It was plain sailing for EspÅda as Frederik Smit opened the scoring in the 3rd minute and Andreas Sommer strengthened their position in the 12th minute with an accurate shot in the box. The game would stay that way until the 79th minute when Alsancak would get a goal back through a Rory Burston penalty. Any hope of a comeback was quickly extinguished however as just four minutes later Andreas Sommer would score a delightful free kick to be sure of the win and bag his second goal of the game.

Final score: Alsancak F.C 1- 3 EspÅda ®

Reggae Reggae sauce had been hoping to keep up their current good form when they entertained St Omer at the Sauce Bottle Arena. Their task was made difficult in the first minute with Fernando Ronaldo hobbling off injured and then after half an hour Franciszek Kamiski was sent off making their task all the more harder. Walter Long of St Omer would also leave the pitch injured and the game seemed to be heading for a draw with both sides cancelling one another out and St Omer unable to make their numerical advantage count. Out of the blue in the 74th minute St Omer would get a penalty and with it a great chance to steal all three points. Norbert Rauscher stepped up and missed the penalty meaning both sides shared the spoils.

Final score: Reggae Reggae Sauce 0-0 St Omer
