Splott came crashing down to earth after losing 2-0 to Pahang Utd in yesterdays game. Carbonmonxoxide's decision to blood 18 year old keeper Piotr Colossus backfired, but it was the lack of goals which infuriated the manager.
"Yes Piotr had a baptism of fire but he is young and will learn from this. I don't regret playing him because we have a try and develop the young talent we have here, but the fact we created 4 chances to 3 and didn't take any of them is of more concern to me. The strikers and midfield had an off day and we should've at least taken a point from this match. Fair play to Pahang, they exploited our weaknesses and they are a good team who do well. Maybe we were complacent after winning 4 games on the bounce, and for that I apologise to the fans - it won't happen in the next game"
There was also bad news for the team as main man and freekick taker, Reed Fantastic, picked up an injury at the end of the game which will keep him out for at least 5 games. These next few games will be testing times for the club.
