1863 Munich put together an impressive second-half to ensure three points in a 5-2 away triumph over Mighty Mojos. The game began quickly with Phillip Williams having a shot saved by Blacksmith before the visitors would hit back by taking the lead; Stephane Aoudou hitting the ball through the ‘keepers’ legs on five minutes. Housham did save from Turlough Daly’s shot a minute later to keep the deficit to just one and Williams then levelled matters with a clinical strike from a corner. The Mojos would then have a goal chalked off before they did actually take the lead with an excellent diving header from Abraham Axhorn. The game continued in explosive fashion, though, and Munich were level when Paolo Ballotta powered in a shot on 31 minutes. Munich began the second-half as the more progressive side and Daly had already gone close by the time Eliott Malloy’s bicycle kick put them 3-2 up. Alvin Dideah would give Munich an even bigger boost on 73 minutes as he put through his own goal to double their lead while Abraham Axhorn missed a chance to bring the home side back into the game. Malloy would put the game beyond doubt on 84 minutes as he placed home a shot and when Ferdinand Quinn wasted a chance for the hosts moments later the Mojos’ fans started to make for home. Joshy was magnanimous in defeat and explained that the ‘second-half was a horror show.’ Anderson19 was a happy man with the 5 goals and admitted that ‘the new signings definitely made a difference.’
Wortley’s bandwagon kept rolling on as they beat Thunder 4-0 at the western. Jake Shiver lobbed a header over on five minutes and Curt Pryor shot wide as the home side made the more positive start. This was rewarded with a goal on 28 minutes as Brandon Hiller flicked home a header while Ludo Cappellacci could only head tamely at Gareth in response for the visitors. Hiller would miss with his next headed chance and a free-kick by Shiver was saved by McArraway just before the break. They would go 2-0 ahead with their first chance after the interval as Pryor placed beyond the ‘keeper and a toe-poke by Shiver on 56 minutes had them 3-0 ahead. It was 4-0 on the hour as Hiller produced a powerful diving header and the game was as good as over. Francois Rouland did hit a post for the visitors before putting a shot over when faced with a difficult angle as they couldn’t make a dent in the score. Thegreatlordbags continues to have his side in fine form and they will be hopeful of extending their lead as they visit the AllStars on Friday. Jimmy shocked Thunder fans at the end of the game by announcing he was leaving before thanking the league ‘for all the good times.’ The league sends those thanks back to you Jimmy.
Dream Team made sure they stayed within striking distance of the leaders as they disposed of Jammas AllStars with a minimum of fuss. Dudley Dream would head wide on nine minutes before Adam Aspire lobbed over as the home side sought the opening goal. The goal would come on 36 minutes as Ronaldo Ready steered past Frezzolini and it would be a lead they would hold until the break. Ready quickly powered in a shot for 2-0 at the start of the second-half but Aspire couldn’t beat the ‘keeper on 50 minutes. Garry Greed made it 3-0 with a stunning strike on 73 minutes to put the game beyond the visitors. Indeed, they would fail to create a chance in the game and Dream narrowly failed to make it 4-0 from a free-kick opportunity. MrJames proclaimed that he was ‘tired of these easy teams’ and already has his sights set on their ‘match v wortley to finally get on top of the division.’ Jamma will navigate a path through the rest of the season in the best form as possible to ensure a favourable update for his struggling side.
Gooners enjoyed another comfortable evening as they disposed of EspAda 6-0 at Huco Mundo. Broderick Shilton had an early shot saved before he hit another shot wide on 15 minutes. Diego Maradona brushed a post in response for the hosts but in truth they would always be second best in the contest. Shilton finally put Gooners in front when he looped a header over Kerrigan just before the break. Shilton continued his fine form in the second-half by powering in a shot to make it 2-0 and Andres Iniesta soon had them 3-0 ahead by shooting home after a corner. Kevin Royale forced Kerrigan into an excellent save from a header but Shilton would complete his hat-trick with a clinical strike on 54 minutes. He would go on to miss a further strike before adding his fourth and his team’s fifth with a powerful header on 59 minutes. Harold Hankers powered a shot against a post as they continued to attack while Shilton had a header saved. The in-form front-man would also see a lob punched away by Kerrigan before Yanuar Kembung placed home an excellent shot to make it 6-0. The hosts enjoyed a late chance but Herbert Stigsson drove his effort over the bar to complete a miserable day for them. FMRealism explained that his team ‘are ready for both’ of the top two as they push for the title in the second-half of the season. Meanwhile, Malteseexpert has a lot of work to do to turn his side’s season round.
Morley ensured they still feature in the top four as they produced a much better performance to win 1-0 at Alsancak. The goal came early in the piece as Gwilym Cullip powered home a shot following a corner. Cullip would also enjoy the next chance but put his side-footed shot over before Angres Kafka had a steered strike saved by Cirkovic. The second-half saw further chances for the visitors with Florian Arnautu having a goal disallowed for offside. He would put a further header over before also lobbing over as he endured frustration in front of goal. This would culminate as his header hit the angle before Alsancak enjoyed their only chance of the game; Fraizer Campbell putting a half-volley off-target. Leeg21 will now urge his side to remain focussed to ensure they take one of the promotion places at the end of the season. Wienersnitzel will think promotion is just out of their reach this season but things remain positive on the development front.
FCR Cressex and Norfolk N Chance were involved in another high scoring game but this time Cressex had enough to win the three points. Douglas Wallberg lobbed in a header on five minutes to put the hosts ahead only for Klyde Krippner to level matters with a stunning free-kick four minutes later. Dominik Brno put a header over while Cabbar Saatcioglu’s precise header was saved by Clemens as Cressex looked to retake the lead. Krippner would have another free-kick chance for the visitors but couldn’t make this attempt count while Carasario Falcioni’s header was saved at the other end. Krippner had another set-piece saved by Clooney and they would go in behind at the break as Falcioni made an effort count after the visitors failed to clear a corner. Pietro Grimaldi placed a shot past Clemens but had it disallowed for offside while Krippner levelled matters with a free-kick on 58 minutes as the second-half started with a bang. Emil Rojas put a set-piece wide for the hosts while Falcioni put a shot over as they looked for a third goal. Clemens would be called into action to save from Brno’s lob and he also looked on anxiously as Kendrick Osmond put a dangerous back pass just wide. The home side would eventually go back in front as Emil Rojas lobbed a header home and Saatcioglu made it 4-2 with a driving shot on 79 minutes. Saatcioglu would also put a header wide while Krippner hit a post as he looked for a hat-trick of free-kicks at the other end. Grimaldi had a header saved and Falcioni lobbed over as Cressex finished strongly. Indeed, Saatcioglu would waste a late header but the home fans could still go away happy with the three points safely won. Villan_RAS will be pleased his side are back on the winning trail but will be keen his side becomes more clinical against Dream Team on Friday. Howemiester will feel it’s a positive that Norfolk have started to score some goals but it remains a long path for them to gain competitiveness on a weekly basis.
