Promotion Battle Is On

'We have come on strong recently, so yes I do feel that we deserve to be in 3rd place. The squad have shown character to bounce back from a poor start and ensure we have had a great finish.'

This was HH's response to the simple question 'Do you deserve to be in the promotion places?' and it is quite clear how he feels.

With 2 games to go until the end of the season, only a single point seperates These Charming Men and The Lone Wanderers with a place in division 1 up for grabs.

'There is no reason why we can't make it in division 1. We may not be the strongest team in this division, but what we lack in skill we make up for in heart, courage and passion. We have a sizeable war chest to use on new players, whether or not it is for a stronger division or for another shot at promotion we will have to wait to see.'

And HH even had some kind words to say about fellow manager RDCM who is in charge at These Charming Men, the team who are also vying for the spot that The Lone Wanderers currently occupy.

'RDCM is a great manager, it will be a shame if These Charming Men collapse with so few games remaining, however if we gain from this I will be delighted yet saddened at the same time. I know without a doubt that TCM will make sure that the race goes right to the wire and if they don't get promoted this season, they will next as they have an excellent manager at the helm of the club.'

And rumours began circulating that HH was set to quit The Lone Wanderers after the season has ended. However HH had already left the press room and the journalists were baying for blood.

A club spokesman arrived with a statement to appease the journalists with the information they so badly wanted.

'HH is taking a break at the end of the season due to personal reasons. HH has given us his all in the previous two seasons and we owe him a break after what his been a tough ride for him in his personal life over the past two weeks. Hopefully we can see him feeling bright and back to his usual self after this break which he thoroughly deserves. At this moment in time he is not looking to resign from the club he has become strongly attached too.'

And on a lighter note HH had left a message for all the managers within the RM Invitational league system:
'To all managers, from the bottom of the 3rd division to the top of the top league, I wish you all the best for Christmas and wish you all luck in your respective league fixtures. Have a great day.
