Bryan Adams Athletic today sacked three of the clubs best players, a decision which brought shock and disbelief from fans and fellow managers alike. We asked him to explain his decision and he had this to say
"You explain to me why you cheat on your very hot wife Mr Journalist and I'll tell you why I released those guys! Just kidding, they were due to retire at the end of the season and we're already all but relegated and I just felt like those guys hearts weren't in it any more, figured I'd rather play the two youngsters I have in this entire squad and someone who might need to gain some form or experience. I know its a case of out with the old and in with the still really old but I'd rather concentrate on the players I still have the power to sell or improve! As I think every penny is going to count in the rebuilding of this club during the upcoming post season break"
Asked about his thoughts on the outcome of today's match against table toppers West Brom he had this to say
"we're most likely going to get thrashed but it is nearly Christmas so maybe we'll have a miracle and only lose by two or three!"
