Gooners Hit Back

All has been quiet from the Gooners camp recntly, with the coach preferring to go about his business rather than become involved in the mind games and press speculation over his teams end of season. Many of Gooners rivals seemed to think after a loss a couple of rounds ago that Gooners would fail to beat said rivals and relinquish their grasp on the silverware.

After such a quiet press related period we were sure the coach had alot to get off his chest and he didnt dissapoint!

Firstly id like to thank our fans this season for their unwavering support and beleif, secondly i stated my intentions the day i arrived and have carried out those intentions perfectly in my mind. If you recall i said that this team could play but needed organizing at the back and tactically we have been on our game for most of this season. As for the defeat its simple had MRJames not been such a bad loser/liar claiming he didnt want to win and wasnt setting tactics... i myself would have sent out a 4-5-1 easily capable of winning that game but after his comments i decided to make a game of it for the fans, a poor decision by me and the blame stops at my door, I do hope that Dream Team realise they will play a stronger Gooners team in Div 2 next season who will want to destroy them! and see them return to Div 3! Although in reality they are probably going to be our biggest rivals again. Before i was asked the question what am i most looking forward to in Div 2 and i said playing Arsenal in a derby game... i think i speak for all the lads now when i say... Defeating Dream Team twice and staying unbeaten for a whole season! There is now a rather large rivalry between the two clubs and it wont do Dream Team any favors in the near future! To draw them in the cup would be a Dream come true for us!

We are sure we can maintain our form until the end of the current season and both games are at home, so taking the silverware infront of our fantastic fans is the goal Although at the same time we are gaining experience for many of our players and with this always comes some risk. If we do take the title this season i thnk it would be deserved over the course of the season we have played some of the best and certainly the most consistent football and have gotten stronger as time went on. We now have one eye on the Cup already and a double.. playing teams from higher Divisions will be fantastic and just what we need right now, as i look to strengthen us in all areas. There will be many changes in the pre season i will shrink the current squad and only add quality and youth but the fans should not worry as none of the first eleven is going anywhere!

As for myself this season has been a fantastic experience in my short career and i proved to myself that i have moved up a level from last season in the Ultimate League where i failed in a simular position. Taking the silverware at my first attempt here would be amazing but the season has been fantastic and even if we were to slip up at the last i wouldnt change a thing. As for my future here you can rest assured im in no hurry to leave this fantastic league, i see a direction i want to take this team in and the future looks great for all Gooners supporters. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both the admin and all the other managers for making this such a brilliant season!
