Totaalvoetbal’s week saw more experience for their teenagers accompany two unsurprising defeats.
Santos competently raided Metelo Park early in the week as goals from Robbie Mitchell, Asmar Golkas and Adriano Ribeiro left Totaal well-beaten. It would be a thoroughly professional performance from Sean’s side who shut the home side out while picking holes at the other end of the field.
Totaalvoetbal put up a better display at The Vikings on Friday but still fell to a 3-0 defeat thanks in large to a poor goalkeeping display and some good home finishing. Vassilis Papakostas would help himself to two goals and a penalty in-between by Anastasios Tassiopoulos allowed the home side ease to victory; this despite the sending-off of Evstathios Gourmas.
Robin Meeblind had this to say on the week’s events:
“I find myself speaking about the same things but Metelo’s ME is complete and while Heitinga and Snelders need more games we’ll get them there and give them a chance to stake their claim for a place in our squad next season.
“We have some money to spend and I’m currently looking round the league for purchases or possible trades. We’re looking for players in each position although the forwards line-up is fairly strong. We’ll have a better idea once the change report is out of the way.”
