And so the Amateurs face the final curtain of their one season back in the top flight. After results went so unfavourably last time out Yorkshires Amateurs could be relegated tomorrow if they fail to win their game against Real Madrid FC.
The Amateurs put their faith in youth and it spectacularly backfired. They brought in some older faces late in the season but it was too little too late. The season has not been a complete disaster as they have unearthed some fine young talent who should be in for an excellent change report at the end of the season. Even throughout this most depressing of seasons the Amateurs form has remained strong and they hope to sign off in style by winning their remaining fixtures, no matter how unlikely that may seem!
