It has been a busy week at Metelo Park as Totaalvoetbal continue preparations for the new season.
Competing in the pre-season cup, Totaal have now advanced to the quarter-finals after victories against Bonkers, Rolling Thunder and ThunderCats. Old friends AFC Stanley now await them at Garden Street with Meeblind happy at how things have progressed so far.
“I’m never overly concerned with winning the competition but we have shown positive signs in certain areas. Indeed, Zlatan Izuhimovic has performed well enough to persuade me to give him a new contract at the club. He won’t be going anywhere.”
The victory against ThunderCats also gave Totaal fans their first glimpse of their new signing, Zwonko Fuckala. The impressive defender put in a steady performance and will surely add longevity to an already strong area of the side.
“The F-man has come in and settled in straight away,” opened Meeblind.
“He’s quite the character, as you’d need to be with a name like that, and finishes off our defensive plans nicely. Oggy will be leaving this week and then we’ll have to decide whether to bring in another midfielder or not.”
