Ahead of the transfer window opening Gooners were quick to release a statement regarding certain players and their avalibility.
"The same set of clubs come back every so often making enquiries about Henry, Lang and Bergkamp... I will send out the same message I reply with each time an enquiry is made. Unless we are talking about a ridiculous amount of money, then you have not even stirred my interest. I see these particular players retiring at the club and while the interest is flattering, no one has come close to being able to make a serious offer, I could even consider. These are consistently good player season on season and these kinds of players dont grow on trees.

On the other hand we have been known to sell on above average players and will listen to serious offers (although consider we are more than happy to keep) for:

Marc Overmars
Nigel Winterburn
