3 from 6 for Totaal

Totaalvoetbal picked up three points from their two games over the last week as they continued to stay one off the pace at the head of RM Invitational.

A dramatic 1-0 win over West Brom Strollers where Antonello Ballarin struck from the only chance in injury-time was followed by a 1-0 defeat to Kirkbride Strollers with Mark Blacklock giving the relegation-threatened side a deserved win.

Robin Meeblind met up with the media ahead of his match-up against Eaglesrjh in relaxed mood.
‘Yeah, I’ve had some contact with Eagles and we have both been enjoying the race,’ opened the coach.

‘We seem to be matching each other stride for stride which is obviously bad news for us as we are behind.

‘However, it’s been a lot of fun. Twists and turns and everything thrown in.

‘Regarding this Friday’s game I’m somewhat concerned as we were hit hard form-wise by our last defeat. I’m sure Eagles will have some selection headaches too, though.

‘The game should be an Easter cracker. I’ll wish him luck before the game and share a glass after the game. This is a pure sporting rivalry at its very best.’
