F.C. Greatness have agreed a fee from out of no where for Barnsley’s 17 defender, believed to be upwards of £ 3 million, with the player penning a long-term contract at F.C. Greatness.
The 17 year-old is currently injured for first two games of the new season following his 5 - aside game in a charity game in Dewsbury at the end of last term.
A statement on Greatness website read: "We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Barnsley F.C for the transfer of Kevin Smith to the club, following the player successfully completing a medical examination and agreeing personal terms."
The Hitman manager Darren Calvert made a bid for Smith to coming to place there ageing centre-backs Agostino Bernardi , Fabian Østgård and Dunstan Valenzia are all in there mid-therties.
"I like him very much. He is young with a good future," Calvert said.
Smith, 17, joined Greatness from English club Barnsley and produced some impressive displays despite his club's relegation.
"Playing for Barsnely was a real honour in front of the supporters and him be a club that follows my hart," he said.
"But I have always said that I wanted to play in the RMI Division and that wasn't possible with Barnsley.
"It was not good for my career to be at a Championship club. I want to play in future World Cups and Europeans competitions with England.
"That is made more difficult if you are not playing at the higher level."
