Kirkbride stroll into second

Kirkbride Strollers closed the gap at the top of RM Invitational to 6 points after a 5-0 demolition of Sanity Clause at The Bush this evening. The title looks beyond Kirkbride however though manager Jazza1958 was quick to dismiss such negative talk. "We are on a great run just now and with West Brom still to come to The Bush anything is possible."

The game was a one sided affair with Kirkbride converting 5 out of their 12 chances in a clinical display. The goals came from Maneater (2), Ellison, Robinson and Blacklock. Jazza purred after the match " This is what the team are capable of and with only one goal conceded in the last four matches and goals coming from all over the park we must be happy with the way the season is progressing. Our aim at the start of the season was top 5 and that looks well within our capabilities and who knows..... maybe even higher is possible"
