Viking Land News
The Vikings camp has been thrown into turmoil today as young defender Deane Molloy asked for showdown talks with the manager and chairman to sort out his future,
The player gave the following statement
"I've been through the youth setup at this club and got promoted to the first team squad. I had hoped to play a few games this season and try to work my way into the starting 11 over the next few seasons. However since I've arrived theres been nothing but speculation about what the clubs plans for me are. Theres been a bid from another team in the league, theres been discussions about selling me on the open market but yet today I played my first game which implies that I might be staying. All I want is a decision made so I can concentrate on embedding myself in whatever squad I end up in"
Manager Eaglesrjh followed with this.
"It's true that there is some uncertainty about Deane Molloy's future at the club. He looks to be an excellent prospect but it's also tempting to cash in on him and bring in enough money to comfortably train the rest of the squad for the rest of the season. A meeting will take place soon and a final decision will be made then."
"Until then he remains a Vikings player and available for selection in the next game."
