Seventh Hell for RDCM

Internazionale put together a stunning finishing performance to leave These Charming Men beaten 7-2. The hosts started in fine fashion but saw Philip Calderwood hit the bar with a header before Mortimer Wainman headed tamely at Derksen as TCM escaped. TCM would then take advantage of this by scoring through Loran Rajabi who produced a superbly curled shot from distance. Unfortunately for TCM they would give this advantage straight back as Linus Streicher inadvertently put past his own ‘keeper to make it 1-1. Calderwood would continue his own personal battle with the crossbar on 25 minutes as his driving shot found wood. Vaios Pakaltsis chipped over as the visitors came alive again and they would stun Inter by regaining the lead; Stuart Cooksey placing his shot beyond Hawke on 41 minutes. The lead wouldn’t survive until half-time, though, as Edip Bayrak reacted fastest from a corner to prod home and ensure parity at the break. TCM would look to take the lead for a third time through Gerard Caffrey but his lob went over and from this point on Inter assumed full control. Innocenzio Filippinetti steered a 53rd minute effort beyond Derksen to put the hosts in front for the first time and he was on hand to extend the advantage with a powerful header on 61 minutes. Calderwood was finally rewarded with a goal on 62 minutes as he made good from a free-kick and the forward would go on and complete a quick-fire hat-trick. His second would be a fine finish from a tight angle to put his side 6-2 ahead and his third came via another brilliant free-kick which completed the rout. Reports from Inter explained that GarethLloyd’s half-time chat was both ‘loud’ and ‘effective’ and you wouldn’t argue after a display like that which keeps them two points clear. RDCM, meanwhile was in an unhappy mood with his players but added that they ‘will bounce back’ and promised to chase ‘Internazionale for the title.’

Potsdamerplatz’s last match in charge of Charlottenburg ended in a 5-2 triumph as Kroklund were put to the sword. Shmuel Peha put an early effort off-target and Paul Scholes headed over as the visitors signalled their intentions. In a shock turn of events, though, they would find themselves a goal behind with Gabriel Galtier finishing a rapid Kroklund breakaway. This didn’t seem to knock the away side’s confidence, however, and Winston Badger powered in an equaliser on 20 minutes. This would swiftly turn into a lead as Rob Lee curled in a long range effort nine minutes later and Luke Butler made it 3-1 as he toe-poked home in the penalty area. Peha might have made Kroklund’s first-half misery worse but he struck the bar with a header although Galtier couldn’t capitalise with a powerful shot before the break. The second-half saw a quiet opening before Butler couldn’t get his chip right and then the Kings halved the deficit; Sjunne Wenna producing a stylish finish in the penalty area to give them hope. They would be dashed in the final five minutes, though, as Denilson Pereira Neves powered in a shot in the penalty area before Peha completed the win with a clinical header on the stroke of full-time. New Charlottenburg boss Wazza220 has yet to show up and the fans will hope he makes an appearance soon to maintain their impressive league position. Bossebong will want to put an end to a two-game losing streak but face a tough task at home to The Lone Wanderers in their next game.

The Lone Wanderers warmed up for that match with a 2-0 home success over Cressex. Arsim Kule looked to give them the advantage on nine minutes but Ikhala was the equal to it in goal. The visitors would also have an opportunity with Lauro Poggi dragging the best out of Peyton with a diving header. A set-piece by William MacAvish also failed to break the deadlock as the sides went in level at 0-0. The second-half saw the sides trade early chances but Arsim Kule’s effort was saved as was Poggi’s free-kick at the other end. The Wanderers would grab a vital initiative on 57 minutes as Deano Elmes launched himself at a Kule cross to plant a diving header into the corner of the net. With the game opening up significantly Cressex were unfortunate not to equalise as Tomas Tiribocchi’s shot hit the woodwork and bounced clear. Ultimately this would prove a significant moment in the contest as the Wanderers launched an attack immediately and saw a mishit Elmes shot fool replacement ‘keeper Stoker and find its way into the back of the net. Poggi, Ghita Ahmataj and Valentino Boccaccini all had chances for Cressex but none could test the ‘keeper with some woeful finishing. HH will have been happy with the win but was concentrating on what he deemed a ‘lack of respect shown by GarethLloyd’ which has brought the division to light. With such a rivalry brewing it is an exciting time to be following Division Two football. Villan_RAS, meanwhile, will be keeping a close watch on events just below his team as they sit just three points clear of the bottom three.

White Hawk FC moved into the top three with a 2-0 home victory over Los Samgeles Kings. They had looked to get off to the perfect start when Charly Chan Jet Soe lobbed in a third minute goal but the replays showed him to be clearly offside. They didn’t have to wait long for the goal, though, as Clyde Nageswar flicked home a header on 14 minutes after an excellent corner was delivered by Adan Donahue. Los Samgeles responded well to this setback and Alexander Frolov wasn’t too far away with a lob while Ladislav Nagy headed straight at Dankoi when in a good position to do better. Donahue would have two free-kicks for Hawk in an attempt to extend their advantage but a mixture of poor striking and decent ‘keeping meant it would remain 1-0. The last chance of the half would fall to Michal Handzus but he got his diving header all wrong and Los Samgeles would remain behind at the interval. The second-half would see the Kings shut-out of the game while the home side would create the only two chances. From their first effort Matts Perman brushed the outside of a post with a header and could count himself unfortunate not to score. With the Kings feeling the frustration of being kept at arm’s length Evgeni Malkin let his temper get the better of him and was sent-off by George Buske after constantly arguing with the official. They would pay for this when Matts Perman headed in the second goal on 79 minutes to seal the victory for the home side. Hooraymee has quietly moved his side up the table and will be confident that his side’s experience in these races can help them in the second part of the season. Stripy still has his side battling in a relegation fight and will know a victory soon is all-important.

Juventus put in a professional performance to leave Norfolk N Chance beaten 5-0. An early goal settled the nerves as Jorn Fruh powered home a header on five minutes to pave the way for a comfortable victory. Dante Allegri thumped home a 24th minute shot but saw his effort chalked off for offside and then Fruh would go close to adding his second as he headed off target three minutes later. The second goal did duly arrive on 35 minutes as Orlan Canito toe-poked past Olausson. The ‘keeper did respond with a fine save moments later from Fruh and Jacobo Chacros also wasted an opportunity seconds before the break. Canito continued his fine individual performance with a quality breakaway goal on 48 minutes and it was 4-0 moments later as Alberto Morante placed a perfect header beyond the ‘keeper. The home side would finish Norfolk off with a fifth goal on 69 minutes although Obadele Eliakwu was somewhat lucky with a finish he mishit. SuperJuve will be relieved that his side are out of the relegation zone following the victory while Howemiester remains in patient mode with his Norfolk side.

Futsal and Real Madrid fought out a competitive 1-1 draw in the other game of the division. Madrid took an early advantage in the game as Stu Mackay mishit a shot beyond Heckingbottom. The home side found their feet and a flick header by Samson Heskey had to be stopped by Nersesian and the ‘keeper excelled himself later in the half to deny Rowley Forrester from a free-kick. The second-half saw Futsal suffer an injury to Kostur before Madrid nearly extended their lead with a lob header by Kapo Kachadorian. Both sides were looking dangerous, though, and another Forrester free-kick needed saving before a header by Samvel Mortanian hit the angle of post and bar at the other end. Kevin Gabriele shot straight at Heckingbottom as the second goal still eluded Madrid and eventually they would pay. Stu Mackay was shown a second yellow for time-wasting and Futsal took advantage by pushing them back. Forrester missed another free-kick chance before an 89th minute header by Rick Tuttle found the back of the net to the delight of the home fans. The performance will be seen as real progress by Jake but he will be well aware that his side need to put some wins on the board to bring the clubs above the relegation zone closer to them. FredRizzo’s Madrid remain in mid-table but the manager will think they are drawing far too many games to close the gap on the leading three.
