Manager Robin Meeblind caught up with the club website after their recent victory over ThunderCats F.C.
Goals from Shirsh Vajpayee and Pierre van Diemen gave the Dutch side a deserved 2-0 win in a game which lifted the spirits of the fans who have suffered a troubled campaign with defeats and injuries.
“It’s true that it hasn’t been an easy time,” began the manager.
“We’ve had a difficult season. We have worked hard in the transfer market only to suffer misfortune with injuries. This has therefore had a negative effect on our playing performances and obviously results have not been as we expect.
“It is fair to say, though, that this was our best performance for some considerable time. We were playing the best side over the past two seasons and I think we thoroughly deserved the points. We have that potential when we have a full squad and with the Shuttle due back tomorrow that is what we will have.
“That said, we have a lot of hard work to come if we want to avoid relegation. There are some good sides down there and they don’t care about reputations.
“If we can finish mid-table this season, enjoy a half-decent change report then hopefully we can see a brighter future.”
