Totaalvoetbal were defeated 3-1 by West Brom Strollers on Tuesday evening and there is much disillusionment surrounding the side after what has so far been an average season at best.
Since relinquishing their grip on the championship to ThunderCats at the end of last season, Totaal have brought in some real talent but lost six of their eleven fixtures this term. Fans have started to become unhappy with manager Robin Meeblind and the club appears to be in a mini crisis.
Goals from Robert Koren, Richard Sneekes and Tony Brown left them well-beaten on Tuesday but it was the apparent gap between the sides which hurt the fans the most. Meeblind admits that the manner of the defeat will linger until they can taste victory once again.
He said: "When you are beaten that comfortably you need your next match quickly. Whether it’s a positive or negative that we are meeting the Strollers again depends greatly on your point of view.
"But we'll cope and we will bounce back. We've won this championship before and we will do so again in the future. But we also have to be aware of developing our squad for future seasons.
"I don’t think we dwell on defeats here and the next game is always the most important. That means we always have something to focus on. At the moment that is West Brom at the MVB.”
