Town News
Morley left it late to grab a well deserved point against high flyers Carthage, Carthage looked to have given themselves an early lead but the goal was ruled out for offside, it was a decsion that the Carthage players didnt take too well as they angrily remonstrated with the assistant. It was a very close call but replays suggest that the assistant got it spot on.
Morley gradually started to assert themselves on the game and Arnautu went close with a curling effort and was inches away from opening the scoring with a placed effort but his shot smacked against the post. The teams went in at half time level with Morley having had the best of the first half, the second period though Carthage improved and Ad Herbal's header brushed past the post as Carthage sought to open the scoring.
Carthage stunned the home support into silence on 87 minutes, Amin Mansourian found himself space in the Town box to convert Ad Herbal's cross, as the teams entered added on time it looked like Carthage had stolen all three points, Arnautu had not given up though and his surging run into the box forced Aurelius into a hurried challenge as Arnautu looked to go round him.
Aurelius missed the ball completely but caught the legs of Arnautu, the referee duly awarded a penalty, Arnautu picked himself up, dusted himself off and cooly despatched the ball past Aurelius to give Morley a deserved point.
