Splott lost 2-0 to Smurftastic Smurfs and learnt a harsh lesson about how hard this league is going to be this season. Things weren't helped by losing captain and main man Winston Badger to injury early on which will keep him out for several games, this was compounded by his replacement, Denilson, getting sent off by an overly picky ref for arguing too much. Manager carbonmonoxide was unavailable to comment having been thoroughly depressed by the result. Well done to Smurftastic though, they will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
