Stanley Opening Day Win

Stanley never enjoy going to the Thundera Ground but on Friday came away with a superb 2-0 victory. In a close game Stanley`s finishing in front of goal proved decisive with goals by Molseley and a wonder free kick from Wallman proving enough.

" I`m delighted with the team performance , the lads were superb and it was nice not to conceed a goal although the woodwork saved us as it saved Tundercats a couple of times , the new signings slotted in well and if we can consolidate our status in the top flight this season things can only look good for the future of the club, this is a tough league and gets harder and harder each season , but with the accquisition of quality defenders Micah Richards and Remy Gambit who are the future of the club and the skills of Virgil Beckham in midfield we should be competitive this season "
