The opening day of the season at Surprise Stadium failed to bring the excitement expected in a Santos match, as Santos drew with Underdogz United, 2-2. Underdogz had the early lead, with two quick goals from Leonardo Borja, to put them 2-0 entering halftime. The second half, Santos came out strong, with Adriano Ribeiro and Rogerio Franca netting a goal each, but failed to capitalize on chances towards the end of the game.
Manager sean7 went off on his usual bizzare commentary of the match.
'The game was disappointing for us, I realize that. But enough of that, let me tell you about how I spent yesterday night. You know, I was watching this film called 'Looking for Eric', it had Eric Cantona in it. That Cantona is a philosopher king. He had these complex pearls of wisdom throughout the movie that nobody could understand. But this expression really made me look deep into myself, and realize what I have to do, for myself and the club.
