Opening day Revenge

Going into this opening match day clash Joshy still had a point to prove as last season manager Anderson held his side in their home tie and then beat them on their own turf and failed to beat them again in a pre-season friendly.

The first half was going to be a test for the home side as the visitors began their seige on John Sapienza's goal. Chance after chance though went begging for the visitors who wasted 4 clear cut chances Anime Allstars FC came close themselves but in the first half madness Paolo Ballotta was hacked down by Haruna Sairenji who earned herself a yellow card for her reckless tackle Milivoje Berber taking the place of the injured Paolo Ballotta. 1863 Munich were to pay for failing to make their first half chances count for on the 41st minute Anime Allstars FC were to be given their first penalty of the new season. Naru Narusegawa cooly sliced home the penalty and gave the hosts a 1-0 lead almost against the run of play. Half time soon came and things remained 1-0.

The second half wasn't going to be short on talking points and just 2 minutes into the second half the visitors got their much deserved goal. Anime Allstars FC were caught napping when Fabrizio Gualt's fine pass found Turlough Daly who slotted home for the visitors making it 1-1. As the second half continued 2 more players were to limp off Enrico Zinnari was the first and then goal scorerer Naru Narusegawa also limped off. Late on and both teams had chances to win the match but the vitual one fell to the hosts. Anime Allstars FC made it 2-1 on the 85th minute as Mai Tokiha found Sonsaku Hakufu and she did the rest sweeping the ball into the back of the net and surely winning it for the Anime Allstars FC. Despite their best efforts 1863 Munich became the first victims of the ever changing Anime Allstars FC side as things ended 2-1 at fulltime and later on Joshy had these comments to make...

" Its great to start the new season on high. Today our tatics were spot on we blocked their rather predictable 4-4-2 line-up and tightly marked their most creative player out there i think this helped us. We did well to keep a clean sheet in the first 45 minutes as 1863 Munich kept us rather busy in our own half. However good sides do this they ride the storms and walk away with 3 points. Its early days still but we are always looking towards the future and up next we face Morley Town F.C. They will surely be after revenge because last season we put dents in their promotion challenge but we won't let them push us over. "
