EspAda Ease to Boo Boys Win

EspAda made it three wins on the spin with a good 3-1 away day at AFC Boo Boys. EspAda were eager to take their good home form on their travels and they managed to assert their authority on the Boo Boys after overcoming a slow start. Michal Handzus lobbed just over as the home side looked for the opening goal and it wouldn’t take them long to get it. On 19 minutes Handzus would race through and place the ball through the legs of Kerrigan to make it 1-0 to the hosts. EspAda, however, would stun them as Vedin Sinanovic blasted home in the area to level with their first chance on 32 minutes. Boo Boys’ first-half misfortune was complete when Handzus struck a fine shot against the bar just before the break as the sides remained level. The second-half would be a different story as EspAda took control. A free-kick gave them the chance to take the lead but Andreas Sommer’s effort brushed a post before going dead. However, they would be in front on 70 minutes as Patric Torebring lobbed over the advancing Ersberg to make it 2-1. Zihni Demiray was in on the act seven minutes later as he put a cheeky toe-poke into the corner of the net to give the visitors some breathing space. A late header by Geoffrey Stiles would miss the target but they had already done the damage which saw them collect another three points. With Crismorena now fully settled in the EspAda hot-seat you would expect their challenge for promotion to go from strength to strength and next in the firing line are the Tigers on Friday. Skoolyou has seen his side lose their last two after an opening brace of wins and the manager will see a match against Anime as the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Morley Town remain the team to beat as they recorded a 4-1 success at Rolling Thunder. With both sides unbeaten over the first three games there was much anticipation during the build-up to the match. It would be Morley who made the confident start, though, and they were in front in the very first minute as Angres Kafka blasted home a simply stunning free-kick. The game would become fractious for a little while before Kafka had another free-kick; this time he brushed a post with his effort. Maart Kuiper would lob over for the visitors before Francois Rouland stunned them by rolling through the legs of Gaughan for the equalising goal. Kafka was soon back on the offensive and only a fine stop by Jorquera prevented him from putting Morley back in front. Thunder weren’t without their chances, though, and an Erland Hangeland free-kick unfortunately struck the bar with Gaughan beaten. Minutes later Hangeland would have another chance from a set-piece but he wouldn’t really threaten and the sides went in level pegging. The second-half would see a more dominant Morley side, though, and they would take control of proceedings. Kuiper would curl them in front with a brilliant shot from distance before a penalty by the same player made it 3-1 on 51 minutes. Thunder did try to get back into it but Rouland’s shot was held by Gaughan and their chance was gone. A free-kick on 65 minutes saw Kafka shoot wide while a mishit shot by Hangeland was disallowed at the other end due to hand ball. Morley would get their fourth goal on 76 minutes after Hangeland was sent-off for dangerous play leading to a free-kick. Kafka would strike another brilliant ball past Jorquera to make it 4-1 and game over. Mitchell Pennock thought he had made it five but he was yards offside but nevertheless Morley had maintained the 100% start to the season. Leeg21 has his side in ominous form and at this early stage they look the team to beat in the section. Vehusheia will have been disappointed with the margin of defeat but will recognise they were competitive for a large part of the game. They have a chance to return to winning ways at Omer on Friday.

Crimson Tigers complete the top three as a strong home showing saw them defeat Cressex 4-0. Buoyed by two successive wins, Cressex had travelled to Crimson in good heart but they were soon behind against a positive home side. Kendrick Osmond would be the goal scorer for the hosts as he drilled in from range to give Cressex an early setback. Andy Howe tried to make it two with a powerful strike but it brushed a post before another strike from a tight angle saw him miss the target completely. Cressex would have a chance before the half was out but Emil Rojas’ free-kick also brushed a post and they would go into the sheds behind. The Tigers remained on top after the break with Howe forcing Martinzon into an early save from a header. Dan Ruffer was the next to try his luck and his steered shot beat the ‘keeper to make it 2-0. Moments later the home side won a penalty and made it 3-0 as Miroslav Burkhart slotted home. Howe finally got his goal on 66 minutes but owed it to some fortune as his mishit shot wrong-footed Martinzon and trickled home. Cressex defiantly had a late effort but Rojas couldn’t direct his free-kick well-enough and they had slipped to a 4-0 reverse. With Paul’s side in cracking form and sitting in the promotion places the ambitions for the season maybe constantly changing at Hoppitop ground although a tough trip to EspAda awaits them on Friday. Villan_RAS won’t want to dwell on this disappointing performance and will want a return to previous form when they travel to Tottenham next.

Alsancak returned to winning ways with a 3-0 home success over St Omer. With both sides enjoying some success over the beginning of the season an entertaining battle was on the cards on so it proved. A free-kick on 17 minutes saw Andrew Taylor hit the bar before Fraizer Campbell did shoot home after a corner to give Alsancak an early advantage. Omer weren’t without chances in the game, though, and Marino Ulander fired their first wide from a curled shot. Taylor was still pressing for a goal at the other end but sent one free-kick over before another was held by Hamshaw. Ulander had his second effort of the game on 40 minutes but his back-heel was saved and the sides went in with Alsancak a goal to the good. Taylor kicked-off the second-half with another free-kick; this time floated onto the head of Lee Cattermole who put the chance over. Omer’s response was swift but Ulander couldn’t put the finishing touch to a fine move as he shot wide. This miss would prove costly as Alsancak struck a second goal with John Burston showing a cool head to finish a breakaway move. A penalty shortly afterwards allowed Taylor the chance to make it 3-0 and he wasn’t going to waste it. Omer would carry on valiantly but Valente Giusti didn’t trouble Frost with a shot although the ‘keeper was extended as he kept out a Jorn Schone header with his legs. Wienersnitzel’s side duly picked up the three points and with a winnable home game against RRS to come a place in the top three may not be out of reach in the early stages of the season. Cony Tottee won’t be too worried by this defeat as his side have began promisingly and they will take on Rolling Thunder in good heart.

1863 Munich won their first game of the season but were made to work hard by a resolute Tottenham side at The1863 Fortress. Both sides went into the game on the back of three winless games but ultimately only one side would be celebrating at the end of this encounter. Tottenham started well and forced a free-kick which Zinnari had to deal with from Tomas Master. The visitors would be rewarded for their half, though, on 38 minutes as Master did get the better of the ‘keeper with a steered finish. However, just as it looked like they would go in 1-0 ahead Munich struck from their only chance; Adrian Fontenla heading in accurately to leave Tottenham visibly disappointed at the break. Munich were stronger after the interval but had to survive a couple of scares early on. Niko Kranjcar would hit the bar with a clever toe-poke before he then put a diving header too close to Zinnari. Munich would then seize control and saw Stephane Aoudou put them in front from a free-kick. A breakaway saw Millivoje Berber denied by some smart work from Gomes before a chip from the midfielder hit the bar late on. Nevertheless, Anderson’s side had secured the three points and they will now look to build on this in the coming weeks. Ocs won’t be dwelling on his side’s faltering start and will know development is key at this early stage.

Reggae Reggae Sauce picked up a rare win as they overcame Anime Allstars FC 3-0 at Sauce Bottle Arena. In a game full of chances the home fans would end up with something to cheer for the first time in a long, long while. Kevin Campbell saw an early half-volley caught by Mamiya but the ‘keeper couldn’t prevent Shivan Preetnav giving Sauce a lead as he rounded him to slot home. Franciszek Kamiski would flick in a header for number two on 15 minutes but Woody Forrest couldn’t make it three from a free-kick. Anime got going on 26 minutes but Miharu Sena-Kanaka hit a post with a driving shot before To-Love-Ru Lala couldn’t trouble Mullen with a steered shot. Lala would have a free-kick chance on the half-hour but couldn’t make it count while at the other end Forrest had a shot saved. The second-half saw Anime try to force their way back into the match but they wouldn’t find the finishing touch to go with their approach play. Lala put a free-kick too close to Mullen before his next go was kicked away by the ‘keeper. Naru Narusegawa would miss narrowly from distance with the next effort before a Rui Sarasa header went over. To rub salt into the wounds Mario McKeever looped in a header at the other end to make it 3-0 and seal Sauce’s first three points of the season. Xpertelevener will hope he can build on this victory but a trip to Alsancak promises to be a little trickier. Joshy admitted that RRS’s victory had something to do with his ‘side’s very young average age’ and this could come back to haunt them on more than one occasion this term.
