Yorkshires Amateurs kicked off their return to the top flight with a plucky display against The Vikings. Although the Amateurs lost the game 2-1 they can take heart from the fact that they matched their more illustrious opponents chance for chance.
The games don’t get any easier though with pre season cup winners Kirkbride Strollers up next in what is sure to be another tough game.
