Shirsh Vajpayee was in fine form as Totaalvoetbal edged out The Vikings 3-2 in an explosive clash at Metelo Park.
Totaal would have the better of the first-half but were unable to take any of their chances. Their anxiety was then added to as Ferdinand Quinn shot the visitors into a lead on 54 minutes.
The sides would trade goals as Ramiro Verona levelled only for Justin Portway to have Eaglesrjh’s side back in front on the hour-mark.
However, Vajpayee would set-up William Ralph Dean for the equaliser before Antonello Ballarin converted a penalty which gave Totaal an important win.
Vajpayee was delighted with his performance and also the three points:
‘I was delighted the manager gave me the playmaker role for the contest,’ opened the midfielder.
‘I thrive on the responsibility and think I gave a good performance.
‘The three points were massive because we have total respect for The Vikings at Metelo Park. We have now got to continue to work hard.’
