A season which promises to be a good one, a league that contains some promising teams and of course one of them are Bully Boys FC. Their first game of the season was always going to be risky as it was Cathal Brennan's first game in the charge of the side.
Juventus have shown to have been a very strong side at home in recent seasons and it was up to Bully Boys to stop them today.
Indeed they did!
A shaky first have saw Juventus enjoy the play more than Bully Boys but the play after the teamtalk was dominated by Bully Boys. In the 49th, Bully Boys were awarded a penalty which was converted by defender, Toini Vasama. 20 minutes later, Bosse Bong cracked in a trademark free kick to seal off the game.
The action wasn't finished then though as in the 79th minute Aatu Vuokki was badly injured and replaced by Curt Eliott. He is expected to miss 3-6 matches. The game in total saw 7 yellow cards and then a second bookable offence late in the game led to Lindfors being sent off for Juventus. Also, Bully Boys' had a disallowed goal late on. A promising 2-0 away win for Bully Boys as they start their promotion campaign.
"It's an 'okay' start to the season in my opinion. Obviously, Vuokki's injury has just limited me to a few formations and is annoying but we will have to get used to it. I'm determined to prove alot of managers wrong and I feel that the side and I have done that so far with a great win and me getting Manager of the Week."
Bully Boys FC's next match is an away trip to managerless, but a very strong Dream Team who got off to a very good start. Certainly not favourites as they are away but will certainly be a game exciting for the eye.
"I'm obviously looking forward to the match against Dream Team but I am not sure on what to expect at the moment as they are so far managerless but expect to bring in their new man soon..."
