Strollers thrash the Hun Haters

All eyes were on new star signing Andrew Harrison today at the Bush but, although he made a scoring debut, he was overshadowed by veteran Brazilian midfielder El Lapinho. Lap, as he is known at the club, scored two and made another for Harrison in a performance which was rewarded by a place in the Xpert 11 team of the day. Further goals from Robinson and Bell made sure that Kirkbride gave themselves a bit of breathing space over the bottom three.

Manager Jazza1958 said " This was the best performance we have produced in my time in charge. The team are all playing well and goals are coming from all over the park. Ne signing Harrison has been a good aquisition and hopefully once he settles in there is better to come from the 11 rated midfielder. Credit however has to go to our back 4 who kept a clean sheet for the first time this season and limited Hun Haters to two chances. Our next match is also at home against struggling Tranmere and hopefully, if we apply ourselves in the same fashion as today we can start looking upwards instead of over our shoulders. Time will tell"
