After a dismal result last round Gooners today showed the kind of form we all know they are capable of, they had a worrying moment when the ball ended up in the back of their net first, but the goal was decided to be disallowed. Which was a god send for young keeper Felipe Lima who is under real pressure to fill the number 1's boots during his injury period. Lima did manage to keep a clean sheet and this will boost his confidence greatly.
Gooners remain unbeaten but the manager said with the run of fixtures we have we must turn draws into wins and get ourselves to the top of the table before we face our two biggest rivals for the title. The fixtures really are in our favor, drawing in the previous round was a real setback and we cant let this happen again. Next round we face EspĂ…da again and must beat them again at their place if we are to remain real title contenders. Just staying unbeaten is not enough, although its a record we intend to run with aslong as is possible.
Our injured keeper will be back in training soon but im very pleased for Felipe a clean sheet was no more than he deserved and he has dealt with the pressure well... lets not forget those are big boots he has to fill. Sonny Baron has also done brilliantly after a long injury period he is straight back to fantastic form and amongst the goals. As for the transfer saga its not something i wish to talk about until the deal is finalized but so far so good, all i will say is no one is moving in the opposite direction we are just adding to what is already one of the best midfields in Div 3!... more news soon.
