Kirkbride Strollers made it six wins from seven matches after demolishing Santos FC 4-0 on their own ground. This win was as easy as the score suggests with 10 chances to 4 in favour of the men from The Bush. This win also makes it 5 clean sheets in a row.
Strollers took the lead in the first half when Stephen Robinson scored his seventh of the season with a shot from a corner. The second half was one way traffic and 3 further goals from Wills, Maneater and Ellison tied up a victory which rockets Strollers up to third in the league.
Manager Jazza1958 was in an exuberant mood after tha match and said "We were awesome from start to finish and are the form team in the league. We have a very tough match at Totalvoetbal on Friday so I will only allow the players one night on the lash to celebrate. The round is on me!!"
Fridays match at Metelo Park will be the true test for the emerging Strollers team as they try to prove themselve the best of the 3 promoted teams. The fans of Kirkbride were heard to sing "We are the one and only Strollers" Diknkydave may have something to say about that!
