It was a case of "job done" in the recent games against Krokland Kings. In truth carbonmonoxide knew he had to get six points to keep Splott in the promotion chase and will be happy with these results. The first game was a routine 3-0 with the recalled striker Ravage grabbing 2 goals and another "fantastic" free kick from Reed Fantastic who is having a fine first season for the team. Splott also dominated the away fixture but could only convert one of their chances and nearly paid for it when the ref awarded a dodgy penalty to the Kings. Luckily goalkeeper Johnny Ghostrider had the game of his life and promptly saved it, earning his side a 1-0 win and 3 precious points.
Next are 3 games which could decide who wins the league this season against Carthage, Arsenal and Belly Tubbies. There are, of course many, other teams in with a shout but these are 3 big teams and the matches are bound to be hotly contested. First up are Carthage and carbonmonoxide will have revenge on his mind after their recent defeat to them. He even rested striker Venom to make sure he didn't pick up any needless bookings before this game. CM told the press "we did what we had to do against Krokland and now our only thoughts are of revenge, our players are fired up after their boss wrote them off and I notice they could only manage a draw in their last game, while our lads are in the form of their lives. We have won 6 out of 6 of our home games and I believe we can make it 7 out of 7 come Friday"
